This place has so much potential, I’m not sure if it’s more cause we were there on the beginning of the off season or what. The location is remote, the small town near by, Paquera, has a very small small grocery store and there isn’t much else around to do or purchase food at.

The restaurants VERY expensive for the quality of the food. In our 10 days there it was our most expensive meal and the lowest quality.

We did manage to find a delicious restaurant down toward the ferry, just past Bharia Rica bioluminescence tour called , el punto and we ate there a few nights. That place was amazing.

The rooms were minimal for the cost and the amenities at the hotel were lacking, there was minimal staff nothing to really eat during the day. Breakfast was okay but the same exact thing every morning.

Plus side there was tons of beautiful wildlife and flowers. The view is amazing and you can walk to playa orangio - we did see quite a few snakes on the walk.

The beach was pretty littered with trash that had washed up but if you walked around the point it wasn’t as bad.

There is a bioluminescence tour and a tour to isla tortuga near by that’s very cool.

I would likely try something else next time.

Staff here was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your help with our luggage. lots of stairs in this place. The Infinity pool was beautiful. At the pool bar they make incredible caiperaina. The restaurant was delicious.
And the staff there was incredible as well. We had two different rooms here because of the stair situation. And both of them were so beautiful. The road coming up here is very rocky with lots of potholes so a four-wheel drive would be best. Parking is at a minimal for their guests. Had some issues with that for sure. We go in and out a lot.

Such an amazing and peaceful escape in one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica. The pool was pure heaven and the view from there was breathtaking. The staff were all so helpful and kind, and Jose was wonderful and especially helpful answering all our questions and providing many recommendations. We would love to come back someday!

Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful in all aspects of their service. Small resort with few guests meant that the service felt very personal and the staff were very attentive to everyone staying there. Everything was very clean, and the one restaurant on the property had great food. There are limited dining options onsite and in the immediate area, but we were happy with the restaurant. It is a little off the beaten path, and not easily walkable to beaches or other amenities, so a car would be ideal if staying here. Staff at the front desk able to assist in booking local tours, but a highlight of the property is that we had the place practically to ourselves all day when most travelers left or were off doing excursions

The only reason for a four instead of a five star is that we had a mix up with the hotel getting our reservation from Expedia. The hotel was full so the solution the manager had was for us to stay in the room they usually have guides stay in along with a partial refund of our costs. Now the room and situation wasn't great but the hotel general area and the restaurant was. We are planning on going back at some time next year.

Every room has a view as well as pool and restaurant have views. Traditional breakfast is tasty and included with room. Very high quality food and chef abilities, and you pay for that. A little pricey compared to other meals we have had in Costa Rica. But well worth it.

Know that the restaurant is NOT a part of the hotel and they cannot add charges to the room. The shower water is luke warm at best. Towels were not available consistently for the pool. We were shown to a room that the safe key was not included. This all being said-we were in a pinch to get ferry tickets and the staff was VERY helpful

This is a lovely hotel but it is in a quiet location. We booked here to be close to the bioluminescence tour and Tortuga Island snorkelling. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped me book our excursions and were always quick to respond to my email. The only downside for us was that the restaurant was expensive and supper choices limited. We did not enjoy the food and only ate there once for supper. Breakfast was included and we had enough to eat but also brought some instant oatmeal cups. A beautiful location and a nice room with a view. Just very quiet and isolated. No real amenities close by.

This place took our breath away when we walked in! The views are amazing and you feel tucked away from rest of the world. We also loved the kind staff that you can see care for all animals from the Coati to the handful of friendly cats that live there.
It was handy having breakfast included to start each day, but there are also many restaurants in the area that are not a far drive (it would be a very long walk). You definitely want a vehicle that can handle inclines and bumps.
Highly recommend going on a night bioluminesence tour in the area!

The property is situated on a hill and is difficult to access via the dirt road. However, the primary concern lies with the state of the rooms and their condition.

The general lighting in the rooms is extremely poor, with a faint blue hue from the light bulbs, which is far from ideal. Without the table lamps, it would be nearly impossible to manage. The beds were so uncomfortable that we even questioned whether air mattresses were being used.

There was no warm or hot water available in the shower or bathroom. Additionally, the toilet flush was non-functional, and the shower switcher/faucet in room 15 was broken.

Breakfast was scheduled from 7:00 to 9:30, but by the time we arrived at 8:30, there was barely any omelette left and only about four slices of sausage. Other guests in the dining area were also complaining, as it appeared they had run out of food.

To make matters worse, there was a sick cat on the property suffering from a mouth condition, which caused saliva to drip everywhere—from the dining area to the poolside seating.

The Vista Las Islas hotel was the ideal spot for 2 nights while exploring the area late Nov 2024. Amazing views from everywhere in the hotel property. Great infinity pool with stunning views. The staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. Very nice large comfortable rooms and the restaurant was superb. You don’t need to eat anywhere else. Breakfast is included ( very good selection), but we ate dinner there twice and the food was truly delicious. We can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend this hotel.

The views! Gorgeous views toward Tortuga Island! Less then ten minutes from the ferry port. Can buy food and incidentals in town a few miles away. Or just dine at the excellent restaurant on site! The staff is wonderful, and we’ve seen several of them three different visits. This is our go to relaxation spot as we live in the CR Central Valley. We also love the pool here.

Yes it's a bit older of a place but the friendliness of the staff, location, and pool more than made up for it.

Breakfast was excellent and being able to grab a quick bite/drink cooling off at the pool was great!

Diamond cove was a great little gem of a beach extremely convenient. We actually saw more wildlife around the property than some parks. It was fun listening to and watching the howler monkeys.

I will say Wi-Fi in the room didn't work, but it did in the main area just fine so I could check on my trip plans.

I would stay here again!

This hotel was incredible for many reasons. First off, the view of the islands in the bay is breathtakingly gorgeous. You can hang onto the edge of the beautiful pool and gaze at the beach, water and islands below. There's an outdoor lounge and a restaurant with really good food. The service is top notch. The rooms are clean and spacious. From the balcony, we could hear howler monkeys down below, as well as dozens of exotic bird species. I can confidently say that this was the best hotel experience I have had in my life for the reasonable price.

We absolutely loved our stay this past week. The staff was very accommodating, the food from the restaurant was great (we had breakfast every day and dinner twice during our stay), and what an amazing view out to the Gulf/Ocean!

The staff especially were great - very helpful from way before we arrived to ensure that we knew what to expect and how we could make the most of our trip by booking nearby tours.

The only things we thought could be improved were some minor updates/upgrades to the bedrooms - the mattresses were a little stiff (very basic spring mattresses); blackout curtains would be a bit help in the morning (bring your sleep masks - sun is BRIGHT by 6 every morning); but overall, we were very happy and would stay again for sure!

Vista las Islas was a true gem! This place has an amazing vibe, staff, and view. You are truly in your own little piece of paradise. The rooms and grounds are well kept and maintained. The pictures don’t do it justice. They have an onsite restaurant, amazing included full breakfast and pool bar. Mauricio was amazing at the pool bar/restaurant for your needs. The staff helped us with our luggage in and out.
There are lots of monkeys in the trees you can enjoy from the restaurant also. It’s a little bit of a bumpy ride to get there (about 5 min) on a bumpy dirt ride but so worth it. You are only a 5 min drive down to Playa Organos a beautiful beach and your view from the pool is of Tortuga Island. My family would stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous property. We stayed here for one night on our way to Metezuma. The views and pool over looking the cliff were stunning. The staff and food were amazing. I am so glad we booked here for one night. I will never forget this place. However, there was no water pressure nor could I get hot water. The toilets didn't flush either. I wouldn't of been able to stay longer than one day. I couldn't shower in the morning and was afraid to use the toilet. I didn't make it an issue because we weren't staying. But something was going on with the plumbing.

The hotel was really pretty, our room had a great view and very relaxing. However, please be wary (if you are relying on taxis for transportation). There are apparently two available taxis in the area, and the hotel staff recommended a taxi driver (1 of the 2 taxi drivers available in the area) and he completely ripped us off. We went to \"Curu Wildlife Refuge\" and he charged us an insane amount, when we questioned him, his explanation did not make sense. We then asked locals in the park, and explained how the amount was way too high. If possible, please avoid taxis in this area, they make up their own prices and scam people.

The views are crazy amazing. The rooms are nice. The pool is great. However our airconditioner made a noise they was very irritating to me and i was unable to sleep. The bed was pretty hard. My breakfast was practically not edible, the sausage was super over cooked and just tasted bad, the bacon was barely cooked at all and was practically raw. The eggs were over cooked. The give sour cream instead of Natilla (for those who don't know, there is a definite difference), the wrap was not horrible (not especially good) but was more similar to what we refer to as a quasidilla or even a burrito. The fish fingers were also not good, i did not eat them, ended up pulling the breading off and feeding to the large orange cat that lives on the property. I liked the hotel for the view. The beach that is nearby is also pretty from a far but up close is full of debris. We would not attemp to get in.the water. The road leading to the hotel is pretty bad but take your time and you will be fine. Be prepared, even though there are a couple of markets in town there are only a couple of choices for prepared food.

As often the case with the best places in Costa Rica, you are never sure if the GPS is actually taking you where you need to go! But sur enough you get to the top of this steep incline and you are greeted with one these magnificent views of this bay! The staff was super friendly with us and our very young children! Always smiling and happy to joke around with my 2 year old daughter! The restaurant has a simple but very good selection of dishes. The cocktails where fantastic ( try the gin gin, you won't regret it). The pool was clean and cool, it's not very deep so perfect to walk around with my 5 months old daughter in my arms while soaking up the view. We were greeted by howler monkeys in the morning with our coffee on the balcony and to take a shower with that view!!!

This hotel is truly isla vista! The most imaculate view from both our room, restaurant and the pool. There really wasn’t a location in this hotel that didn’t look like out of a painting. I took at least 200 photos/sunset from the infinity pool around sunset and finally got to see a monkey from our balcony. From all our stays in Costa Rica, this was the most relaxing and most beautiful. The food and service was also very good. All the sweet kitties lounging around the property was also like heavenly for me. I think its so kind and generous for the management team to take good care of the sweet animals. If I ever come back to CR this is the first place I want to book again.

The vistas are beautiful from all areas of the hotel including the rooms.

We had dinner and our server was very pleasant, knowledgable and provided exceptional service. The food was truly outstanding and we had made sure the chef was recognized.

The rooms have great views, beds are comfortable with a refrigerator and satellite tv. You could not ask for more.

Limited lounge seating around the beautiful pool however; not an issue to be worried about. Only downside is that one couple that blocks off the chairs and goes over to the restaurant...like they are on a cruise ship.

I will definitely be staying here again and will recommend to others.

What a hidden gem! Kinda of difficult to get to but the property is beautiful and the room was very clean & we had a great view. The property is hidden and not that easily accessible to the beach but the views almost make up for it. If you like to be more secluded, this is a great option.

Great Spot to Explore the Paquera Area

Great spot. Amazing views. Service and staff were excellent and helped us schedule a couple of tours during our short stay. A little secluded on the top of the mountain but town is close by and the resort has everything you need.

The hotel has some of the most breath taking views. The infinity pool over looks the shore and islands. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive and very helpful. I’ve been to Costa Rica many times and by far the staff here was the friendliest

Loved this hotel. Incredible view from the room and the pool. Like literally breathtaking, almost deosnt look real. Good restaurant and fair prices. This hotel is kind of off the grid, not much around it, but it was nice to be away from everything for a bit and relax. Went to Eddy's bioluminescent kayaking while here, it was amazing, it is nearby and I would recommend it during your stay. Overall great hotel, would highly recommend.

We came for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The service was excellent. Managers, Anya and Thomas, were very attentive and handled all details expeditiously. The food in the restaurant was superb.We will return again soon.

Gorgeous Location - Impressive view!

One of our best stay while visiting Costa Rica!
The panoramic view itself is worth everything one can desire. We loved the unique set up of the rooms in bungalow style laid out independently on different terrace's levels. Nice rooms with a balcony over looking the Bay and flowers throughout the room and bathroom gives you a warm welcoming!
Staff manager Dennis, his associate and personal was an absolute delight to meet and talk with!

Best stay in Costa Rica!

Best hotel ever! Great location. Fantastic pool facing the ocean! So quiet but at the same time very close to the beach - 2 minute drive!
Loved the location and the service - warmest reception :)
They let us stay waaay past check out (till 5 pm!) which is very rare and extremely accommodating. I miss this place already! Thank you!
