This property is beautiful and very well kept. I think every room has an ocean view but not all rooms have a balcony. I wish we had paid extra for one, as it would have been nice to sit there in the evening. The property is VERY hilly and there are lots of stairs and ramps. They have little shuttle carts that take you everywhere and there are lots of them. You can call for one and they'll be there really quickly, sometimes before you can get outside. The beaches are beautiful and immaculate. There's 4 beaches, but the smallest one is not a swimming beach. The beach by the Mexican restaurant has a coral reef that you can walk out to and see lots of fish. We always found seating on one of the three beaches. There's lots of palapas and lounge chairs. Drink service is frequent and fast. Same at the pools. The pools are all close together and far from the rooms. If you forgot something in your room it's a long way back. The food was just okay and got repetitive. I'm a vegetarian & I struggled to find things without meat. They mislabeled things sometimes that appeared vegetarian but weren't. We should have booked more a la carte dinners as the Kasbah was really good. There was even a belly dancer. But even there, the vegetarian soup had meat in it! The resort isn't walking to distance to any restaurants but you can take a cab into town for about 100 pesos. It's about 10 minutes away. The shows are okay, just basic. All the food closes at 10:30 even the snack bar.

This hotel has 4 beaches, 3 of them quite and soft waves, fishes go around you but ne careful about coral reef. 3 pools one of them just for adults.

Everything about las brisas was great! We got a junior king suite with ocean view which was great. Restaurants, the pools, the drinks, the staff, the snorkelling right at the beach. Everything was top notch. One thing to make sure of, bring decent shoes for walking around the resort, Its not flat. Although there is a shuttle thats always driving around you can hop on to get around if you dont feel like walking.

My wife and I were here for 6 days. It was great!! All the restaurants were very,very good except KasBash which the food was good just no flavor. The buffet was the best buffet we have been at in all our years of travel. The room was nice sized, housekeeping did wonderfully. All the people were very friendly and polite. The beaches were laid out extremely well. We were a little concerned about it being a noisy resort with it being family oriented. However, the pool area got a little noisy but the beach area was relatively quiet. We went on the bird walk one morning. The guide knew his stuff and we saw a lot!!
We enjoyed our time here , and maybe someday we can return

This was our 2nd trip to Las Brisas and the only time we’ve ever wanted to return to the same resort -
anywhere! Our 2Q superior deluxe room was comfortable, bright, clean and perfect for our needs. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an ocean view - but we were barely in our room and ocean views were all around us at all times. We enjoyed custom made omelletes at the Mexicano restaurant (with ocean view seating) after pickleball every morning, snorkeled at the coral reef beach every afternoon and soaked in the rays of the fabulous warm sun! What’s not to like? Wish it wasn’t so expensive… prices have gone up considerably since our visit last year. Hope we will be able to afford to return!

Las Brisas is an older Mexican style hotel and we love it. The staff are wonderful and the amenities are good. We love the snorkelling beach.

Our stay at Las Brisa’s was more then we expected the beaches were fabulous eve though you had to get up early for a lounge chair. Pool was nice much hotter in that area. Food was dece at the buffet with huge variety al la cart we found Mediterranean and the steak house to be the favourites Mexican buffet for breakfast was the best as you had the choice to sit outside and enjoy the morning view. BUT Please be prepared for walking and lots of stairs. Overall I’d give it a 4/5

The beaches were all clean and organized each morning but as with most resorts chairs are often ‘claimed’ very early and often unattended for very long periods of time. There are signs that prohibit this but it seems to happen at most resorts. The pool was a great afternoon area to relax after cooking at the beach for morning and early afternoon. Bar staff were generous with their pours :)

To have all of the amenities, you had to upgrade your package. Too many steps throughout the facility. If you have limited mobility, this is not the facility for you. No elevators. They did have golf carts to transport you to the buildings throughout.

Probably the best beach I've ever stayed at. Perfect for beginner's snorkeling. Stairs were an issue, specially for our friend with minor mobility issues. You have to take carts to go anywhere, which is anoying. They do have a really good system to order a cart, and they come quickly, but you will still find a lot of stairs you need to take. They say they have some elevators, but i didnt see a si gle one. Especially around the buffet and pool area where you will spend a lot of time. The biggest disappointment was the food! The buffet was awful. We got so sick of it, we were taking taxies off site to eat dinner. The restaurants werent much better. The seafood restaurant had one person slowly dishing out pre-cooked food, so it took an hour between courses. The scallops were complete rubber, no possibility of chewing through those. I expected much better from a hotel of that caliber. (They did put on a great event for Super Bowl though) because of the food, i won't be going back there!

The very attentive and friendly staff is what stood out the mot for us. The jr suite was a first time for us and it was fabulous. The rooms were always well kept and the mini fridge was always stocked with our favourite bevies and treats. The food is fantastic at the buffet and à la carts.
You can’t have a finer beach area that has snorkelling à coral reef right there.

We had an excellent stay at Brisas. It was our first time in this part of Mexico, met lots of people who visit frequently and have tried all resort options but say this one is at the top. The beach’s here are beautiful and very swimable as the open ocean doesn’t crash on them like the other resorts. Excellent snorkelling right at the resort. If you want to go to town it’s a flat rate of 100 pesos. A couple things that could be improved are a larger lounge area for in the evening and at night. Seats are full and you end up having no where to sit. I never got to sleep in once in my trip due to having to get up at 4:30-5 just to secure somewhere to sit for the day. The resort can be tricky to navigate aa it is very hilly and although walkable is quite the workout, especially if you are older or less mobile. They do have carts that run through the day that are always quick to pick you up. All the workers here are very hard working and want you to have a great experience. Huatulco draws an older audience, we were some of the very few around the 25-30 year age group. This allows for a more laid back environment compared to cancun or pv. Also, note that not all rooms have a balcony. We will be sure to be back in the future.

The room was fine, clean, spacious with beautiful views and a stocked fridge. The grounds were expansive, lots of stairs with a variety of flora and fauna. Our stay revolved around the beach. It was beautiful with a coral reef full of creatures and only a couple metres from shore. There were many loungers with umbrellas, but needed to be down there by 7 am to snatch one. The staff was helpful and friendly though seemed somewhat overworked. The one downfall was the food. You could find something, but far from spectacular.

The grounds are beautiful and beaches can’t be beat. Downside is that loungers are full by around 5 am both at beaches and pools. Are they being saved at night? Staff and management have to get a handle on this as it’s something I’ve never experienced at an AI.The food overall was good. The buffet was better than expected and great drink service at the beach too. Would definitely return, just a shame, even getting up at 5 am doesn’t get you a lounger for the day

Quality of food was not the best.
Having check out time at noon when many flights leave at 6:00 to 6:30 PM and taking your key away, you don’t get a lunch or even a drink.

Resorts at the price we paid are available in the same beach area for similar price and are far superior in quality particularly the rooms. Expedia has misrepresented the property badly in its ratings. Will not book through Expedia again. Similar comments from guests we encountered at the resort.

Resort is massive and beautiful. Lot's of stairs and walking if you wish, but not needed. They have little carts that take you anywhere on the resort any time.
Beaches are excellent, but you do have to get up early to throw your towel on a lounger if you want one. Snorkeling is decent, I saw puffer fish, barracuda, and a ton of other colourful fish...some like to rub up against you
Mostly an older demographic, which I liked. It's not really a party resort catering to the younger crowds.
Staff were excellent.
The food was just ok at the buffets but we had an excellent dinner at the Steakhouse restaurant and at a grill buffet on the lawn, absolutely delicious!
Quick 10 minute taxi ride into town for 100 pesos and a lot more laid back atmosphere than the Puerto Vallarta area.

The entertainment and dancers was phenomenal ( but they need more comfortable chairs in the entertainment hall ). The golf carts to the rooms was a great option, but the stairs and proximity of the rooms would definitely stop me from booking Las Brisas in the future. Also at least one air conditioned bar or sports lounge would be great.

We had a lovely ocean view room in Nubes complex with fantastic service from the housekeeper who kept the room spotless and well stocked.
We enjoyed the little transport buses around the resort and the friendly drivers - without exception all were helpful and courteous
We loved our specialty dining experiences especially La Kasbah - great atmosphere, wonderful food, and highlight was the belly dancer. Cynthia one of the servers at the Solarium dining room was exceptionally attentive.
We went for the Spanish lesson and Abraham was kind to offer the session with just the two of us which was lovely. Another highlight was the Bird watching tour with Pablo Narvez which I actually did twice as I enjoyed it so much and he was a helpful guide.
Beach was wonderful, boat availability was a bit spotty but we were able to enjoy getting out on the water on various craft.
