The hotel was closed. I could not even get in the parking lot. I had to make other arrangements at another hotel, which cost me twice as much. I’m not happy with this at all and it doesn’t sound like I’m gonna be getting a refund for quite some time either.

This hotel is horrible. It was the only hotel in town that had rooms left, but we needed a room. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Check in was fine, except they hit me with an extra deposit charge. Ok fine. We go to the room and noticed immediately how dirty and dilapidated this room was. We couldnt even close the door because the lock mechanism was broke. Toilet paper roll was on the floor with the tp still on it. The sheets had many stains on it. We opened the bedside table drawer, and it was a layer of dirt and hair. Not to even mention all the shady weekly pay residents hanging around, and playing video gambling machines in the lobby. Its now 11 days since we left, and I still dont have my deposit back. Just all around a gross property. Next time we I'm in Jefferson city I would rather sleep in a ditch. It would be cleaner.

The building was closed a week prior due to a fire and unknown to me, was still closed when I booked the room. I didn’t know until I got to hotel and the parking lot was empty, front doors locked, and all lights off. The Expedia chat support made it incredibly frustrating making me provide evidence of the fire myself. After getting upper management involved, I was able to get a refund started and received a $25 credit towards another room, though I felt this Wasn’t enough to make up for the embarrassment of going to a completely empty hotel and having to make the company I booked it through believe that it was closed, even after multiple failed calls. Really bad experience from this booking service

Despite taking our reservation through the app on Nov.12, this hotel was not open for business when we arrived in Jefferson City. (The internet report said that the hotel had a fire on Nov. 9.) We had no idea and arrived expecting to have a bed. We had to quickly find another hotel - not through Hotels.com, of course, since we couldn't trust that system, which was still showing that there were 8 rooms available at ABVI for that night!! This ended up adding just over $90 to our trip. The unexpected expense added to our disappointment in the trip. We are still hoping to get a refund from Hotels.com to recoup some of that, but have not heard back from customer service.

And you hear cracking noise in the ceiling from guest upstairs I’m assuming , this happens all night . From the moment I arrived my experience was HORRIBLE! I had to wait 30 mintues to check into my room because theh said theg were cleaning it so i waited, even though my check in time was 3pm and it was 6pm! I arrivee to my room to find what clearly appears to be someone under the influence of drugs still cleaning my room! There were no amminites in my room. There was no shower curtain and only 2 towels. The bath tub was still dirty and the toilet was dirty. My sheets had disgusting brown stains on it! I asked for a shoeer curtain and clean sheets and was told they would get it to me and they never did. I requested an iron and they said i had to wait until the morning. I asked the lady staff member and she got me an iron. I went to return iron and she said it qas $5 dollars! I have never paid to use something that should be available for guest. I asked if i can skip paying $5 since i still had no shower curtain! She got upset and said should have never given me the iron. I offered to still pay since she was so upset and she said i couldnt afford the $5! VERY RUDE!! The tv did not have any service and the microwave had to be moved to plug up! This staff, these rooms, are Disgustingly rude and nasty! I would have left and found another room but because of Homecoming all the hotels were booked or charging exorbent prices! I really want my money back!!!

When I first arrived at the Inn, none of the rooms were available. There were still \"cleaning\" rooms when I arrived. My reservation was a 2pm and i arrived at 2:50pm. I waited for 1 1/2 hour for my room to be supposedly ready. It was not.

I was reassigned to 2 different rooms because the beds were unsleepable. There were bed bugs plainly visible on the mattress. Both rooms had bed bugs, larva eggs, as well as pet dander. I was appalled. Additionally I had no where to go and all the hotels were booked and i asked customer service if they can accommodate me for the inconvenience. Their response was to see on their website if any hotels are available. No hotels were available this weekends in Jefferson city Missouri. I was left stranded with no place to go for my trip.

This was such a disappointment and extremely frustrating. And my safety was at risk, I sent my itinerary to my love ones in case something happened. I clearly was not going to reside somewhere that was infested and disgusting.

I requested a non smoking room , and when I got to the property they took a 100 dollar deposit for the nonsmoking rooms I booked which was not advertised that they do that online , also the whole entire hotel stunk of marijuana and cigarettes, our room still had old bar of soap in the bathroom opened the microwave had food in it . I was disappointed . Someone was vacuuming in the middle of the night also

Unacceptable rooms in regards to cleanliness as well as finding a Brown Recluse spider. Inspection of the bedding revealed stains and very thin sheets with no mattress covers. The mattress has staining that varies from yellow to dark brown. Did not find any evidence of bed bugs.

This was an extremely unsafe place. There was a biker gang hanging out, drinking and had bikes parked everywhere. There was a woman extremely upset when we pulled into the front area to check in. Her car had been hit while parked. Staff was rude. All they said was, “We do not have your reservation, “you’ll need to call your booking agent”. No other help was offered.

I was happy with seeing the renovation in progress, and lobby looks great. I have stayed many times over the years and owners are the best and doing a great job in making it nice. I was very disappointed in the hallway being cluttered with beds and furniture. The room was bottom of the line in my opinion, dresser drawers missing, floor was a mess, bed was half off frame. Somebody from the property management will respond to this post and state that we’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’re currently being remodeled.
The truth is, there is nothing about their remodel that is clean, new other than the paint, and definitely not a worthwhile hotel to stay at. The air conditioning unit that is on the wall, made it horrible noise, it absolutely stank, which I determined the reasoning why was because the air filter was so incredibly dirty that nobody had serviced or cleaned it and God only knows how long. You will be able to see that by the picture that I posted below. There was virtually zero hot water and or any pressure that came through the showerhead. The tub is extremely old as well as the faucets in the unit. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, it didn’t even have a fitted sheet, and the mattress itself was disgusting.
The comforter had massive hole in it and two different places and was likely as old as a 1970s film.
In addition to all of this, the constant noise from the people who were very disrespectful, working well into the wee hours of the morning, and starting at the wee hours of the morning, made this place virtually impossible to sit down, relax, sleep, which is the primary reason of why I rented a room, and or just be able to wind down my day, watching some TV without the constant noise of something going on around.
The immense amount of dust that was inside of the hotel room from the construction was evident the room was dirty.

I sure hope it’s better after the “remodel”

The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. So cold water fell in you when you were in the shower. The toilet lid would not open all the way so it scraped your back when you were sitting on the toilet. The TV literally fell out of the wall while we were there first night and the solution was to set it on the media center with the giant gouges in the wall visable. On the good side the room was clean. The sheets were soft. The bed was comfortable. Oh. And every time one used the key once you had to go get it re-keyed

They were in the middle of a renovation but didn't know about it until later. The room had dead bugs behind the door, pumpkin seeds on the floor, was partially painted, had a stain on the mattress that showed through the sheets, there was a deep crevice/dip on the left side of the mattress, towels were ratty and had holes, bathroom ceiling was bubbled and coming down, it was very noisy and they must have been working in the room above us (heard walking around/pacing constantly and had to turn up a sound machine to attempt to drown out the noise), no coffee or ice bucket in room, and they advertised having a complimentary breakfast
but since they were under renovation they didn't have it. Didn't offer coffee or anything.
Only good thing about it was the water pressure.

I booked this room for my son's fiancé and a bridesmaid. I checked them in, and gave them the mobile for my cousin, a groomsman. Five minutes later, my cousin called and told me this was NOT a safe place to stay, nor as described in the listing. He was not staying, and he didn't feel comfortable with the two young ladies' staying there either.
My deposit was refunded, but we are still working on getting the full room fee refunded. The girls had to get another room at another hotel.

This was a nice, affordable place to stay. I would overall recommend it for a brief stay in Jefferson City, MO. There's nothing too close within walking distance nearby, but it's convenient that they accept both cards and cash. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see any ATM or vending machines, but there was a small snack bar located at the front desk and even a few casino slot machines in the lobby. There's free breakfast included, and both an elevator and staircases inside the building. There was no room cleaning during my stay, but I only stayed there for one night. The room was mostly clean with a few flaws. The toilet had a hair strand on it, the bathroom sink and shower drain were somewhat clogged, and there were even a few food crumbs on the bed and carpet. There were also two bugs crawling on the floor, but none on the bedding. No trash can. Air condition/heating unit worked well, but I couldn't get the TV or lighting in the room to function! Even after pressing buttons on the remote control and the light switches near the lamps! This same exact issue recently happened to me at an \"America's Best Value Inn\" in Iowa, with the lights and TV not working! Not sure what the problem is, and if it's just me, the particular hotel chain, or all just a strange coincidence? I wish instructions on how to work the TV and lights were included. But I loved how my room had a large bed, big desk with chair, phone, microwave, mini fridge, and a small loveseat sofa couch!

The restroom in the motel was less than clean. Poop on the wall in a couple places, the trash can was nasty as well. When we went to get in bed there was a very badly torn pillowcase on one of the pillows. I went to the service desk and asked for a new one. The gentleman (very pleasant) told me the cleaning lady would be right there and I waited a good 10 minutes for her and she did not show up. He then told me to go up to my room and he would bring us up a new pillowcase. The television did not have a good selection as far as stations for viewing. I will not be staying at this motel again.

After booking the room through Hotel.com. . And paying for with my card . They changed another 70 $ 50 $ deposit for a none smoking room qnd 20$ for my dog. The dog I can understand but ,when I ask for none smoking why they made me put a deposit down? I had to stay an extra night because of a winter storm they charged me again for my dog and even for the room cost me another 85$ The bed frame was made out of 2×8 The shower leaked all over the floor soaking my bag and the close I had in it .The snow storm came through and they didn't have anyone plowing the parking lot or the sidewalk to where I had to park . The continental breakfast consist of watery gravy and biscuit coffee and nothing else. I don't recommend this place for anyone

I liked nothing about it. It's a nasty hole I wouldn't let a mouse with roaches as travel companions stay there. I did not stay there I left upon going into the room. No locks on the door sealed the deal with me. There was trash in the desk and lights didn't come on when I opened the door. And there was tv for others down the hall but no TV in mine. And I noticed the place had a lot of rooms with lights on but no cars in the drive. There were broken stoves when getting off elevator on the 3rd floor. I do not think that place is safe for no one to stay so think twice before renting from here.

We started out with a non working phone, not even a cord for it. Needed them to come to the room as the tv was not working. Got a smoking room with no ashtrays, they went into another room to find one, leaving that room without. No ice bucket or cups. Never did find any. Needed to ask for a roll of toilet paper as the only one in the bathroom was not even half. No facial tissue. The next day we went and bought our own pillows as there were only 2 for a king bed and they were not acceptable, also bought cups and our own tissues. Continental breakfast consisted of dry toast and biscuits with gravy. Nothing else. Coffee ran out by 8am and they never refilled. No cream, only sugar. This was all 3 mornings of our stay. The refrigerator in the room needed to be turned up and there were items in there from the previous guest. Air conditioner did not work well either. Only 1 handicapped parking space and that was not marked well, so there was always someone parked in it and we were unable to use and my wife is in a wheelchair. Same person at desk anytime we went through and he was never very helpful and spoke so softy i could not understand anything he said. We have stayed here before and it was not like this.

This was absolutely one of the worst stays in a hotel ever!! Wanted to charge me $30 for getting here 5 MINUTES early!! Then checked us into a dirty room with slept in beds! And that room had 6 pillows (3per bed) but even after checking us into that dirty room they still refused to give us 2 extra pillows in our “clean” room which only had 4. 4 adults sleeping in hard as rocks beds with one flat pillow a piece. Not good sleeping at all. Much less I had to remake both beds that were short sheeted to even cover up with the dirty blankets that were on the bed. However, I am glad we were only looking for a place to lay our heads down for the night, because the bathroom was just as nasty! Molded shower curtain, molded shower full of someone else’s hair, urine all over the wall, mirror that looked like someone had literally spit toothpaste ALL over! Completely disgusting! Completely unacceptable!

It looked okay enough and the bed looked clean, but then I woke up at 3AM itching and realized that I was covered in bites because they have BED BUGS!!! I got up, gathered my stuff and left! When I alerted the front desk staf they didn't even bother to apologize, offer a refund, or anything else.

I went to my room, saw hair in the bed and bathtub. I told front desk he took me to 5 other rooms, same thing. Dirty toilets, hair in EVERY BATHTUB AND THEN BUGS!! LIVE ROACHES CRAWLING!!! The staff was with me and saw it as well. He agreed to give my money back, but the manager declined. I takes to her over the phone. She was rude, unconcerned and nasty!!!! I threatened to call the news she said she didnt care. I have pictures and will be reporting this matter. This place should be shut down! The reviews about clean toom is a LIE!! I HAVE 20 PICS OF TRUTH!!! DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Front desk was rude the fact you couldn't have visitors after 930 at nite the rooms were bad the air in the room wouldn't work they asked for al people in my room for their IDs for the cops to make sure it would be safe I'm over and beyond unsatisfied and want my money back

It was absolutely awful. They were rude. They charged me for my service animal. $20 a day. Which isn't allowed. They demanded my paperwork from my doctor for my service animal. Which is also unlawful. They tried to deny my significant other accomodations even though my reservation was for 2 people. They even called the police. The room was kind of clean when we got there. But they never seemed to have clean towels or sheets when I requested them. Absolutely worst hotel stay I've had. Ever. Will definitely not be going back.
