If you stay at this hotel they charge $10 to park in their lot. There wasn’t any hot water for a shower. There were a lot of guests staying there because of an event, so maybe that’s why there wasn’t any hot water. The hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast is really good.

There was no hot water for a shower, the heat had a smell to it that made my son nauseous, and the room lacked basic hotel ammenities, such as a mini fridge and microwave. My son and I both became ill after eating in the restaurant and had to return home before doing anything we had gone there to do, and we had to cancel our next destination as well. The food tasted good, and was not overly cooked. However, it had a lot of strong seasoning that made me wonder if it may have been MSG or another type of food borne illness. My son and I ate different things, but the seasoning may When I mentioned to the front desk that my son and I both became ill after eating in the hotel restaurant, the employee did not seem at all empathetic. It was very disappointing to have to end our trip early before enjoying the reasons we were there to begin with.

My bathroom had mold in the shower tiles and on the curtain. The room was so hot it took literally all night for the ac to work we didnt sleep under the blanket. The staff was nice and the pool looked nice we just didnt get a chance to use it.

I enjoyed all of the aspecta of the hotel. The only issue was with the breakfast buffet. It was supposed to be opened until 9. When I arrived at 8:40, the attendant was already clearing away the breakfast. Someone else there had to ask for coffee cups and coffee. It had already been cleared out. The food was no longer being replenished. It was very disappointing.

This place is in terrible condition. It’s very outdated, and it shows in every area of the property. The gym is poorly maintained, the pool is in rough shape, and the rooms are just as bad—worn down, unclean, and clearly not being kept up properly. There honestly isn’t a single standout positive about the stay.

They try to highlight a “fancy” waterfall feature, but even that is only partially functioning. To make matters worse, there’s exposed PVC piping running up the wall to create a three-level effect, and it looks extremely cheap and poorly done. It completely takes away from what they’re trying to present.

On top of that, basic functionality is a problem. The front doors were broken on the first night, and by the second day they were down to just one working elevator, which made getting around the building frustrating and slow.

This property has clearly gone downhill. It may have been a great place at one time, but that is no longer the case. In its current state, it’s easily one of the worst places to stay in the area. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, functional, or enjoyable hotel experience.

Ate dinner in their bar/grill. Ordered a Rueben sandwich for my husband, and a burger for myself. Burger came, Rueben never arrived, something else did. Waitress blamed the cook, but she tried.
The hot water in the shower is merely lukewarm. The eggs were cold, hash browns not refilled, juice not refilled.

My first room was put out of order after I asked to be moved. The ceiling in the shower was falling down and had fallen and as laying in the tub. Wall paper was falling off the wall and trim around the door was loose and trim on the wall. There was a hair in the shower wall that wasn’t mine. The next room was clean the entire property is outdated but Sandy at the restaurant in the evening made my stay she is awesome

The staff was wonderful. However, the hotel needs an update. The wallpaper was peeling, the faucet handle was broken, and the tub drained very slowly. On my second day, I asked if someone could repair the faucet and clear the clog in the drain. They did clear the clog, but the faucet was still broken. This is a great location and has very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel just really needs a remodel.

The property was very dated, the bathroom had peeling paint, not once-- not once-- in my 4 day stay did housekeeping come in my room. Expedia stated that the fee quoted would be exactly what I paid, yet I was charged an additional $10 a day for parking. I would never stay there again and only remained there because my mother was in the hospital and I didn't want to take the time to find another hotel.

We had three rooms. One reserved through the hotel and 2 through hotels.com. The two through hotels.com were side by side on the 4th floor. Had to move my family out of both. We found one of them was to be out of service altogether. It had water problems and the carpet was wet and dark fluid in the sink. The room next to it also had a sink and shower leak that made the carpet wet. It smelled mildewy and the air was warm and moist even though the air was on. Our third room had an air conditioner that had a loud noise that occurred every time it kicked off. It woke everyone in the room on the hour. The next morning, my in-laws went down for breakfast. They were there when staff brought food out. It was cold. All 7 of us decided we shouldn’t have stayed there.

Decided to stay in room for dinner so changed to Comfies and called room service according to phone instructions and menu in info folder in room. Couldn’t get them to answer. Called front desk. “We don’t have room service.”
Ended up ordering pizza delivered. Not what I had in mind.
Room was more in line with a Days Inn quality. No fridge, no microwave. Had an older hotel smell to it. Room does not match price. Hotel looks like it was once grand. No more.

I called prior to our stay & requested a room with a view of the Capitol. The young lady said “I know what room to give you!” I was very pleased they could accommodate. Asked if there were other special things that would make my husbands stay more memorable & told her a couple ‘likes’. Never heard back but upon check-in we were instructed to check the fridge. We booked a junior suite. Plenty of room but items in room are dated, in disrepair & there’s a smell like sewer in the room. No air circulation. Thermostats are ancient. And a beautiful view of a large parking lot, Highway 50 & no possible view of the Capitol! I’m stumped! In the fridge is a plate with 2 pieces of cheesecake & on a side table 1 real glass & a small bottle of whiskey. TY for the whiskey! We bought our own mixer & used the toothpicks used to hold plastic wrap off the top of dessert as utensils as none we left to eat the cheesecake. Breakfast buffet was extremely poor. No coffee in 2 containers, no cream once coffee was refilled. Another guest said eggs in chaffer were cold & not to eat them. Went to a seat with black coffee. Be selective as seats are wobbly & torn up. My husband got the last spoon (only utensil out) & no napkins. I spoke to the front desk who sent out the HR director. She got things straightened up a bit but these kitchen staff employees took no pride in their service. Eat at your own risk!

The breakfast stayed empty. They would bring out a little bit then it would be gone. Upon filling the breakfast bar one of the employees brought out a bag of hard boiled eggs and ripped the bag open with his teeth right in front of us. The hotel was severely run down. Looks absolutely nothing like the photos online. I feel like we were catfished. We stayed in the exact hotel in Iowa and it was beautiful and clean but this was terrible!

Room had a huge leak and the carpet was soaked and squishy. The bathroom was so old and there was some kind of blue tape going down the walls holding the wall paper on. Went and got another room and it was just as old and moldy. The front desk lady was so nice and understanding - we canceled the reservation and went down the road. Terrible place.

The staff (other than at breakfast) were very nice but it just didn't make up for the rest. I can tell the hotel may have been gorgeous in its prime but it just is not upkept or modified and as clean as it can be.

The facility has “good bones” but was dilapidated. We have to move rooms twice due to water leaks and HVAC dripping from the ceiling. The hotel restaurant needs updating. The milk at breakfast was sour. The hotel was WAY understaffed for the weekend. Some some piss poor management.
