Our room hadn’t been prepared for us-no towels or bath mat. The window sill was dusty and hadn’t been cleaned. The jetted tub was dirty and some parts were loose or not working well. The staff people were friendly and helped where they could. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good.

When I walked in our room, I wished I hadn't booked two nights.

The floors were filthy and unvacuumed.
The bathroom had hair, dead spiders, and other unswept things in the corners. There was quite a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling and some on the walls. The bathroom walls were dirty, with paint peeling. I could see cob webs in the ceiling corners as I lay in bed. The kitchette area had spilled spots that hadn't been cleaned from prior guests. The windows had an excessive amount of handprints on them.
I went out the side door where a rotting apple lay in the stairwell along with some other trash.

The linens \"looked\" clean, but given the disarray, that seems questionable.

We asked twice for help with our TV and was told someone was coming. No one ever came.

The breakfast is stingy. They serve from 7 to 9am and seem to be done \"stocking\" items around 8:30am.

All this hotel really needs is a good cleaning. I cannot imagine what this place will be like in another few years.

Also, having stayed, I'm skeptical of several of the perfect reviews... I would not be surprised if these were added by the hotel themselves. Perhaps they could just clean up, instead of making up fake reviews about a clean hotel and responsive staff. Neither of which they have.

If you are visiting for a sacred experience at local historical sites, don't let your experience be dampened by staying at this hotel.

The hotel was not grungy.
However, it was not great and some things made me cringe.
We took our four girls for a one night stay. The hotel lobby was hotter than the outside temperature and the hallway stank like trash. The hot tub was full of sand (???) and lacking towels. The fitness room was without towels, water, and weights. There were dead bugs in the corners of our room and a lack of bedding for the pull out bed. The breakfast was sparse and the garbages full.

All in all, it really wasn’t awful. The beds were clean (from what we could see) and the bathroom looked fresh.

But if we are ever in the area again, I don’t believe we would stay here a second time.

I’m sad that, to save money for a family to have a place to stay for the night, it means skimping on quality.

This place is okay for a night. Breakfast was instant oatmeal packets, one type of cereal, bagels, bananas and apples, juice, and pre-packaged muffins. Not much, but enough to get you carb loaded for the day. The place is old, worn out, and a little dirty. Beds were comfy though. The pillows were small. I woke in the night and could hear someone snoring loudly from the room next door - the walls are super thin. In the morning I could hear the full conversation the neighboring room was having. Not a horrible place to spend one night though.

This hotel is located in a great spot but it needs an overhaul way bad. The check in area and carpet is so dirty, the room is okay but the bathroom is tiny and wasn’t very clean. The beds were comfortable though. The breakfast was a sad effort. If there is a youth group ahead of you, don’t expect anything to be left. They don’t restock very well. I hate to leave a bad review but I wish I had read into the place better. I’m not sure if there is a better option in the area so I’m sure they will continue to have guest.

The property is old and in need of a refresh. Our first room smelled like wet musty carpet and the staff quickly accommodated a change for us. The breakfast was pretty shabby and not sufficient amounts for the number of guests there. If staying in this exact location matters more than anything, I’d recommend it. If you’d prefer something updated, stay 20 mins away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And given the age of the building our rom was very clean.

Checkin process was fine until we opened our room. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room but had a distinct smoke smell. We asked to change to a different room. There were no other rooms similar to ours. They did give us a different room but we moved from a king bed with a jacuzzi to 2 queen beds with no jacuzzi. They were not willing to adjust the price for us at all because we had agreed to the price on hotels.com. The new room’s air conditioner didn’t work. We were too tired to ask for another room again and just dealt with it.
Overall, the attendant was polite but not helpful and didn’t act very understanding.

Our stay at this hotel was decent, but not amazing. The staff were nice. The hotel itself was not as clean as we had hoped. The floors needed to be vacuumed, and there were some small mold/mildew spots on the walls in our bathroom. The grounds outside looked overgrown and not very well-kept.

The room was adequate and clean. It is showing its age. Very long and confusing check in. We prepaid our room, but then they told us our room wasn't ready because we hadn't confirmed...? So then he checks, give us a key and sends the housekeeping gal with us, who took one look in the room, and said it would be ready in a few minutes. We were heading to an appointment and we're in a hurry, so she ran down to the office. We opened the door and the room wasn't even started! I went to the desk for a different room and, surprise! They had another room for us. Why the confusion when we'd prepaid? Couldn't get the tv to work.
This is the only chain hotel in the area and they know it. The price was high and the place was not great.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable, but the pull out bed is not. The breakfast was nice. It is a great place to stay while touring history sites in Palmyra. This was our second stay. It was rainy and muddy outside, so the carpets get dirty, but it seems like more could be done to keep the carpet vacuumed.

Definitely would not go back. When we arrived and went to our room, it had an unbearable odor. We asked to beloved which, I wouldn’t normally do but, it was awful. We moved to a second room and, there was one towel, a quarter size roll of toilet paper, and dirty socks under the cover of one of the beds, and women’s hair all over the pillows. As if, someone slept in it and they just made the bed without cleaning any of the linens. They offered to move us again but, it was just a lot to do for a third time. The staff was ver friendly and accommodating and, the breakfast was decent. But, very dirty and unkept.

The staff is very friendly. My first room had chunks of hair in the shower, bathroom floor, and a used towel hanging. I went to the desk and they gave me a new room which the refrigerator didn’t have shelves, no tissues, towels and wash clothes had black stains on them. The window sill had dead bugs. Overall I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate. Not clean whatsoever.

The room was clean but needed work, edges viewable through the mirror of the unpainted door casing, Toilet paper holder was moved and the previous location had a piece of sheetrock plugging the hole being held in place by 2 screws, caulk around the soap holder in the shower was done by a 5 year old, no way keeping water from getting behind the wall, decorative kleenex box cover was just that , a cover no kleenex. amenities: the bathroom sink was the size of a dog dish, the toilet was made for pre-schoolers (barely 10 inches high) the shower trunk needs a claw hammer to pry the button up or bang it down to switch from bath to shower and the shower head made it so I nearly had to get on my knees to rinse the soap out of my hair. They are minor inconveniences that won't stop me from staying again.

Check-in staff was very friendly and welcoming. Even late at night, the two gentlemen working were kind and professional, I even brought cake down to share with them for my daughter’s birthday, and the interaction was genuinely pleasant.

During our stay, there were a few issues I chose not to complain about, including stains on the pull-out mattress, decorative pillows that were not properly assembled, and a TV in the bedroom that I had nothing on it no Guide shows movies nothing for my son. and when I checked in the Wi-Fi information didn’t work, but None of these were reported because they were not a major concern at the time and we still enjoyed the evening.

Unfortunately, the experience changed after checkout. Despite leaving the room clean and organized (trash bagged and tied, decorations cleaned up, balloons popped and disposed of), multiple attempts were made to charge my card for alleged damages. When I called to ask about this, I was told the room was “trashed,” which was absolutely not accurate. I requested to see the photos that were referenced, but they were never provided. I was then told not to worry because the charges didn’t go through, yet my bank continued sending alerts for attempted charges afterward.

It’s disappointing that an otherwise nice stay ended this way. The lack of transparency and repeated charge attempts were very concerning and overshadowed the positives.

My room was ok clean but heat had horrible sounds when turning on and off! Refrigerator in room was on but didn’t work! So the take out that we had was wasted because it wasn’t in a working refrigerator! Told the staff about it when we had to ask for an ice bucket that was supposed to be in the room and wasn’t and all they said is that’s not good that the refrigerator wasn’t working!

We lived in Palmyra for most of our lives and have always stayed there when visiting. We will NEVER stay there again. The bathtub had black mold in the corners. I can submit pictures if necessary. The lights would go dim then turn on bright in the middle of the night. There was no striker plate on the bathroom door, it couldn't be closed. The breakfast was terrible, no meat, no juice or fresh fruit. The waffle mix was frozen and couldn't be poured. We went to Mc Donald's for breakfast. Lastly, we spoke to someone else staying there who agreed with everything we said and recommended actual rooms not to stay in. Terrible place.

The hotel’s location was convenient and well-suited for our planned activities in the area.

While the overall condition of the property was generally acceptable, the cleanliness of our room—particularly the bathroom—was disappointing. It appeared that the room had not been deep-cleaned for quite some time. The shower walls had visible orange mildew that could be wiped away easily, and both the floors (carpet) and walls (and headboards) showed noticeable grime.

I would strongly encourage hotel management to take this feedback seriously and implement improvements to cleanliness standards, as this property is well-situated and has great potential given the number of guests it attracts.

This was the second time we’ve stay here in abou 12 years. It has improved to include a dining as where a descent breakfast is seven. H been refubished With upgrades.i checks n at 6:30 pm there was nobody at checking desk- had to wait 5 min or so for someone to greet me- t wa a woman that seemed very tired and not very enheused about her job- she HD several tattoos n he arms and neck which I feel loooks very unprofessional. The room es quiet and comfortable and the location was very convenient!

Marginally ok. Hotel was not that clean. Even though we asked for towels at the front desk to use the hot tub they didn’t tell us that the hot tub was not usable and was a cold tub.
Location is great, breakfast was ok, bed was decent but lots of issues with cleanliness of lobby and rooms.

Floors in the halls were dirty. The floor in our room was dirty (unvacuumed). The television didn't work, and the desk clerk said \"unplug it and then plug it back in.\" That didn't work either, so my wife mentioned it. He said, \"well, that's not uncommon since many guests plug in their video games.\" Not helpful at all. There was nothing to drink at the breakfast, and no one available to help.

Located a mile south of Palmyra makes it convenient to Erie Canal Bike Trail. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Nothing special about breakfast provided...cereal, eggs, waffles. For low budget, this is a comfortable stay.

If you are in Palmyra to see the LDS historical sites, this is a great location. Close to everything. If you are not, it's just the opposite. There is nothing in walking distance. But the the city of Palmyra is only 8 minutes away.

The room we were put into had no working lights above the door area, kitchenette area, and the bathroom. Pretty much anything on a switch. Went to the front desk the guy checked the breakers and said they were all on. He would be down to check what was going on. 1 1/2 hours later gave up and went to bed. Upon checking out notified the attendent and she said oh the breakers weren’t flipped. She acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to have to deal with it. For the money we had to pay for this room and not even have lights to go to the bathroom or shower is a little ridiculous. It’s a clean place but staff need better customer service and taught what to do when stuff doesn’t work.

Our room was clean and beds were comfortable although our bathroom walls were being fixed and still needed painting. I thought for the price of the room it should have been nicer. Arriving for breakfast at 7am (opening time), the first morning of our stay, the eggs and sausage were already cold. The next morning they were at least warm. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in, the breakfast foods should have been better and hot.

Check in seemed unreasonably long. After getting our room, we learned the phone and air conditioner were not working properly. After fixing those issues, we realized the tv did not work. They sent in a gentleman to fix and he could not. We were told someone would come to help. Help never came. We were never offered any compensation or another room at any time. I mentioned this at check out and at least thought I would get a call from manager to apologize and never heard back.
