Staff should ask at check in if you want your room cleaned every day instead of putting a note in the key card holder. First morning the breakfast was barely warm. Second morning it was better. Room was clean. I’d like a pen and small pad of paper in the room like other hotels offer. Staff we interacted with were pleasant. Discounts at nearby eateries were used and are appreciated. We would stay here again.

Clean room with refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, and shampoo/conditioner. Pool was a good size, and hot tub was huge! Only slight downside we experienced was a family was having what seemed to be a kids party with a ton of kids and that made the pool/hot tub area quite loud, they also took over the entire breakfast room area (which is great that they had this space honestly!)... but then we were later woken up by multiple kids running through the hallways close to midnight and pounding on doors near us that seemingly were occupied by the same family/party members. Thankfully none of this bothered us as we just stayed away from the pool area after attempting it once, and when they were loud in the middle of the night we just rolled over and went back to sleep. But that might be a problem for other people who may not be as easy going. I want to also be sure to note that the kids were doing absolutely nothing wrong in the pool area, it is just a large room that does echo quite a bit, and... well, kids will be kids in the pool! The front office staff did not seem phased by any of the noise, the pool is off the main lobby, so we didn't think it pertinent to inquire further about any of it especially since it didn't really bother us in the end. They kept hot coffee and cocoa/tea in the front lobby, as well as other snacks you could purchase, and we enjoyed that!

Easy access to freeway

I thought the hotel was kind of over priced for the quality of the hotel. I did find an earwig in my bed, and some strands of hair in the shower. The windows where the AC unit was, was stained with brown stuff. It smelled like sweat when we first walked in. The staffs were very kind though, especially the ones working the breakfast area in the morning. The beds were ok. The pillows were basically balled up and small. The pictures online definitely made the hotel look better. But again, the staffs were all very helpful and welcoming and kind.

La Quinta Inn & Suites – Pocatello, Idaho Review
The property was pretty busy when we arrived, but there was a huge parking lot with plenty of space. The front desk staff was quick and friendly, and the lobby was clean and welcoming.
We stayed in a 1 king room with no couch. It felt like it was just a converted 2 queen room, so there wasn’t anything too special about the layout. The bed was on the harder side and came with six smaller pillows. There was plenty of lighting throughout the room, and the AC unit worked great and kept the room nice and chilly, just how we like it.
The bathroom setup was pretty standard, with only the toilet and shower in the bathroom area. The sink was located out in the main room, and the bathroom light switch was also outside the bathroom, which was a little different.
Breakfast was offered, but we left before breakfast hours so we didn’t get a chance to try it. The morning coffee was ready when we checked out before 7 AM, which was nice.
Overall, the room appeared clean, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was very easy to access right off I-15.
Overall rating: 7/10

Nicole
This hotel had way more stars than it should have. It was very dirty and we didn’t want to touch anything!
Lisa
Great stay for one night with my family. Went swimming & used the hot tub. Very clean & great breakfast!
Paul
Got in late and the lobby doors was locked until the person ahead was 100% done checking in, and ended up standing outside longer than should have been necessary.
Nancy
The accommodations were fine. Nothing spectacular. The room was clean. We didn't get up early enough for breakfast.
Kathy
Good breakfast
Virginia
This is my go to hotel in Pocatello. The staff is very helpful and eager to help. Good breakfast, and nice rooms.
David
Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, great amenities including pool
Luke
Very nice and love the in and out location plus rusty pelican being next door.
juan
The room was clean other than we did find dog food on the carpet so that tells me they didn’t vacuum and the TV with dish network didn’t work we had to login to our Netflix other than that it wasn’t terrible would stay again
Royal
The bed was very uncomfortable. The elevator near our room didn’t work during our stay.
John
The staff at the front desk was excellent and very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly! Room has a great setup and stay was great!
Emma
toilet seat was worn down to being brown. Toilet ran all night. Dirty hallways. Bad smells.
Wendy
Nice, spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet hotel.
Lisa
The staff was friendly, the room was clean. Jets in the hot tub weren’t working.
Randall
Meh... standard place but price was good...
Julie
It was fine. Property is dated but clean. No grills. But fine
Steven
Great value for the price. Place was clean and quiet. Quality finishes. Continental breakfast food quality (eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes) was not good.
Janette
Staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and fresh smelling. Everything worked. Is also close to restaurants and gas.
Casey
The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The hot tub could have been a little bit warmer in my opinion. Overall stay was great and I like that check out was not until noon.
Daphne
Terrible service and unhelpful
Judy
Good place to stay
linda
The place looked great. But in our room the toilet was running and there was too much traffic noise from the freeway
Candice
It is very run down and not super clean. We had to change rooms because when we pulled down the mattress cover there was dried blood on the comforter and sheets. When we called they gave us a new room and apologized but when we asked if we could get some waters he said you only get 1 bottle per person. The shower was terrible. Breakfast was ok not the best.
marvin
Nice room and friendly staff. One elevator was out making it very difficult to get to our second floor room, not sure how long it had been out. One major issue is that there were only two entrances (of many) that had ramps up to them. The lack of ramps was a major issue for getting luggage carts in, and would be very bad for someone in a wheel chair, especially given the number of idiot pickups backed up to the sidewalk so that most of it was blocked.
Sue
The check in was great! The staff is friendly and professional! Great experience!!
Raquel
Room was clean, but no hot water and an empty ice machine. Huge tour group made breakfast impossible to get…
Bruce
Ice bucket in room was filthy. Staff reacted poorly
Trena
They stuck us in a wheelchair room. Bathroom was dark and dingy, they actually hung towels on the handrails that surrounded the toilet!!! Yuck!!! Towels were rough and dingy! Carpet felt horrible, it was crusty! When I mentioned to staff, they said they clean them twice a year! Ew!!! No sink in bathroom, it was out in the main room! How unsanitary can a hotel be!!!
Elevator wasn’t working! Never staying there again!!!

Nice hotel and very clean.
Elizabeth
The room was a little won. The walls seems very thin and it was easy to hear noise from other rooms, hallway, etc. we did not have hot water at all on one morning- took a very cold shower. Breakfast was quite good.
Barbara
The breakfast was sparse. Powdered eggs were awful. The potatoes were cold. This was one of the reasons we chose this place.
Dena
The elevator near our room was out of order. We did not use the amenities. Check in was great. Room was clean & spacious. Did not eat breakfast there. It could have been open a little longer. It was only available from 6-9am.
Elizabeth
The breakfast was amazing, and fresh. I loved how the room was stocked with enough towels for all 5 of us.
There was extra makeup remover cloths, which we absolutely needed.
They definitely made us feel at home and welcomed. Nothing skimpy here. I definitely will be choosing this hotel line from now on. Because of the excellent service.

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast wasn't that great, but everything else was just fine. We would stay again.
Amber
Great hotel.
GINA
Breakfast was tended by a friendly happy woman. Front desk staff were professional and friendly. Housekeeping person in hallway was helpful when we required additional items. Elevators not great. But we do not have mobility issues so we were fine.
Sandee
We had a king room and it was clean and roomy. They did have elevator and the jets to the hot tub didn’t work but we were asked if we could do stairs and were given a room on main level. The breakfast was great and well stocked as we went at a little after 8 and it closes at 9. We will stay there again if we are in the area.
gloria
Very comfortable stay. Staff was very nice.
Bryan
Nice and peaceful hotel enjoyed my stay
Yady
At check in, reception was rude, not very informative. I went to ask for to tails and stood in line, she completely ignored me and helped the next person in line, I waited patiently, and she called the next person in line knowing i was just standing there, so I took initiative and said, ma'm, you know I was next in line you checked in the person behind me. I simply needed towels. She was rude the whole stay. I don't think there should be workers like that if they don't like their job they should stay at home and look for a different job that suits them. We come to enjoy our stay and its workers like that, that make it a horrible experience and never want to come back. Elevators were broken. Very inconvenient for a tournament stay. We should be kind to one another and workers should be exceeding customers expectations!
Les
Quick overnighter. Fast friendly check in. Spacious clean room. Breakfast satisfactory but coukd have used dome yogurt.
Ben
Just wish breakfast could have been a little past 9am
Noah
Clean room and friendly staff
Sarah
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Other than that, the hotel was terrible. My first room was smokey smelling so I requested a different room. Staff quickly switched me to a different room. My second room had several issues. Toilet kept running and sink did not drain properly. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy. I will not be staying here ever again. I expect higher quality from Wyndham properties.
kellie
Staff was very friendly
John
Would have liked more variety in breakfast selections. Bacon and scrambled eggs not exciting. Perhaps some hard boiled eggs. Muffins were gummy.
Room was very good and I appreciate your evening shift person moving us to the ground floor room on request.

Room was clean, bed was comfy. Great room. Staff was pleasant. I asked at the desk about the hot tub hours and he told me, but did not tell me that the hot tub was broken. That was the main reason we stayed there after a 12 hour drive. Also breakfast was just ok. They had eggs, very thin greasy bacon but the cinnamon roll waffles were fantastic. Only coffee offered for hot drinks, no cocoa or apple cider. I stay here almost every time I come to town and this time was a very disappointing experience for the price.
robert

Bobby

Hot tub and pool were great except hot tub jets were broken. Breakfast was good. Bed was super uncomfortable. Tossed and turned all night, Husband was miserable. Bed was actually broken, from to many guest bouncing in the center of it. Front desk guy was asleep on a pillow with his head down when i walked it.
Deed

We have stayed at this hotel many times and this year was not the best. Our room was dirty and needed a deep clean. Staff were not as friendly and looked annoyed to be there. Their card reader and printer weren’t working. There were no towels for the pool and when we asked for some, the front desk took our room number and said if we didn’t have all of the towels in our room, they would charge us for missing towels. The breakfast was bland and they didn’t have as much to offer compared to years past. It was disappointing considering that we’ve had better experiences there in the past. Hopefully they can make some changes for the better!
Tony
TV he room was very good just next door to the laundry room. Could here it most of the night
Leslie
Pet friendly. Great overnight stay. Easy on/off from I-15. Close to Subway (walking distance) and only about a mile from a grocery store and two Starbucks!

This hotel received over eight star ratings on the site where I found it. I was very disappointed when I got to the hotel, specifically the room. The pillows were uncomfortable and either very small, or had lost all of their fluff so they shoved them in tiny pillowcase. The pillowcases were thin, dingy and had holes in them. It really grossed me out and I had a hard time sleeping because I had my head on it and it just felt dirty. The towels were frayed at the edges and also looked old and dingy.
It certainly could’ve been worse, but the entire hotel looked like it needed to be deep cleaned. If it had been rated a 5 or 6 out of 10 I would’ve expected all of this. But if something is rated over an eight, I expect it to be in good shape and comfortable. This hotel did not deliver. I don’t like complaining, but ratings are very important to me and the ratings I saw for this hotel were not accurate at all. I would not recommend or stay here again unless there was nothing else available. And I was desperate.
