The location was perfect, close to museums, restaurants, shops,.. and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of history and beautiful architecture surrounding the inn.
The room was adequate. Floors in bedroom and bath in need of a good cleaning. We stayed 3 nights and found that clean towels are only available on request. Also, had to request waste basket emptied. Breakfast is not in this building, but across the street. We could hear conversations on the street below as well as music from St George street.
The staff are kind, but not onsite.

The room was clean, the manager was very friendly and accommodating. Even though we parked across the street in their second lot, it was the perfect spot for us because we had a bigger vehicle. Perfect location to walk everywhere. I didn’t have to use our vehicle to go to local restaurants and sightsee all the major attractions.

This is a great place to stay in St. Augustine! It's in a quieter part of the town, and a 3 minute walk to the historic area, cathedral, Flagler College, fort, restaurants, etc. The staff was excellent, breakfast was delicious and a lot of freebees (water, cookies, coffee, wine). The B&B has onsite parking which was very convient! I highly recommend!

We stayed in the Pearl room which is located behind the main house over the garage. The room was spacious, just as shown by photos, and offered privacy. Breakfast is served at the sister property across the street. They were very accommodating of my nut allergies. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the location, you can walk to many restaurants, shops and historic sites. Thank you for a great stay!

Staying at this lovely B&B was a delightful experience, from start to finish. I can’t think of one thing that was negative or unpleasant. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, with something different every day. An easy walk to shops, restaurants and bars, as well as the Castillo de San Marcos.

We received amazing customer service from Teresa, Courtney, Mary Lynn and Eva who was so very kind and accommodating. There were others that worked here as well, all providing superior customer service. They are truly customer service oriented. Couple that service with the appearance and atmosphere of Centennial House, and you have a true winner. I HIGHLY recommend and will be returning myself! Thank you!!

We returned to stay at Centennial House/Carriage Way after two years. We stayed in the same room (the Alexandrite, previously known as Carriage View) as during our last stay. We found it to be in need of some serious updates and cleaning. The blinds don't fit the windows in the room correctly (too long) and therefore are difficult to open and close. The floors were quite dirty in the room and my wife and I walked around in sock feet and the socks turned black with dirt. The mirror in the bathroom is mounted so low over the sink that I could only see from mid-chest down unless I bent at the knees about 40 degrees. I'm only 6'1\"...difficult to shave etc. like that! The Bathroom tile floor has large cracks running from the door to the shower. These were the same issues the last time we stayed and none of them have been fixed in the two years since we stayed there.

A new experience since our last visit was that guests now must go across the street and down a 1/2 block to a sister property to get their breakfast. That is extremely inconvenient and ruins the B and B vibe, especially when it's raining. The food is generally very good. The staff is very friendly, and they try to ensure that you have a good stay.

I did look at other rooms in the property and they didn't seem to have the glaring issues we experienced with our room. I would be willing to return and stay in any of those other rooms I saw as I tend to like the property and staff.

Overall a cozy welcoming environment. The staff is amazing and very happy to help in any way possible. The room was efficient (as expected) with a very comfortable bed. Although our room was located in the main/lobby area, it was very quiet and convenient for the coffee, soft drinks and spirits provided for guests. Also in the main room, there's plenty of local information available, along with comfortable sitting area and even games to enjoy after a long day of exploring the area.

The location was perfect, as everything was well within walking distance for us. Once parked, we walked everywhere. St George Street, Castillo de San Marcos and a multitude of shops and every level of dining one could want. We especially enjoyed The Castillo de San Marcos, The Shipwreck Museum, Burrito Works, River & Fort and Harry's Seafood just to get started!

Back at the BnB the provided breakfast was a home cooked delight. French toast (with blueberries), bacon, eggs (perfectly prepared) with juice and coffee was served in a charming dining room by our spectacular staff.

Parking onsite is limited, but there is a historical parking ramp just down the street, that is provided free of charge as a guest. We are looking forward to returning soon.

The B&B was very nice, its location was excellent for exploring the old town, and the breakfast was good. Also there was free parking. My reason for deducting two stars was that our room was very very cold and we had to wear our coats to keep warm. Unfortunately it happened to be a cold day. What’s more interesting is the reaction of the staff the following morning when we told them about the room. They were not surprised to hear that the room was very cold since obviously it has a perennial heating problem, but more interestingly they did not appear bothered by their negligence to ensure that there was a space heater in the room. They made a reference to some number we were supposed to call and one suggested that we should have huddled together to keep warm. We talked to the other guests and they all said that their room was nice and warm. This was rather unacceptable since this is not a cheap place!! Getting up in the morning was a bit … unpleasant !!

Husband and I have stayed in various B&Bs in St. Augustine. This was our first stay with Carriage Way but it will return.
Our room was in the Centennial House across the street but didn't seem neglected at all.
Though we do not drink wine, to see it along with soda and bottled water offered freely was unexpected.
We did not take advantage of the provided games nor the dining table but did enjoy morning coffee on the sun porch before strolling around town.
Three short blocks from historic downtown made it a perfect location.
And did I mention the morning breakfast? Divine. Can't wait to go back!

Couldn't ask for a better location, which included parking, a premium in the heart of the district! Sandy, the owner and our host, was lovely. The inn serene and hospitable, enhanced by thoughtful features and gestures like a cold, lavender-infused washcloth awaiting you after a hot day of strolling around the picturesque town; an assortment of hot and cold beverages including wine; house-made cookies.
I had some reservations about being on the first floor with the main hall right outside our door but those were quickly dispelled when we discovered breakfast was served in the b&b across the street (also owned/operated by Sandy); so no traffic or noise to contend with, inside or out.
Overall, a relaxing and comfortable stay and we'ld go back in a heartbeat!

One of the best Bed and Breakfast I’ve stayed in St. Augustine. The location is unbeatable, you’re literally steps from all the attractions and best restaurants and shops.
The rooms are beautiful and clean, beds are very comfortable and the bathroom at “The Gentleman’s Quarter” where we stayed was huge and had a very nice hot tub. It was equipped with everything you would need, nice robes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and even feminine products in case you didn’t bring any of your own.
The food served was delicious every day, and they even offered mimosas!
They also had an amazing selection of coffee, teas, sodas, wine and even freshly baked cookies that we had daily during our stay.
Whenever we go back to St. Augustine (because we go frequently) we will definitely stay here again!

Other than the location of the room being very noisy we were very pleased with the amenities and friendliness of the staff. ( I will add after the second night the innkeeper offered to move us but it wasn’t convenient for us)They had some very nice little extra touches such as extra toilettries lavender for the pillows wine, coffee tea and fresh baked cookies. You have to stay to believe how great they are!!

Just an overnight to enjoy St. Augustine historical district and bond. This place is amazing on every level. I have traveled all over the US and the world and the do everything to perfection. Breakfast was a $20 home cooked meal for free, as well as free wine, water, sodas and homemade cookies. Best sheets and bed that are amazing. I could go on, but we will start coming here every two months for a couple weekend getaway.

Our room was amazing and romantically perfect for my husband and I, we will make this our destination bed-and-breakfast every year. We were greeted as soon as we walked in with an amazing glass of wine walked up to our room served an amazing breakfast. We also got a complementary bottle of champagne. It honestly was just perfect.
