DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU CAN ACCURATELY PREDICT WEATHER.

Had booked 2 nights in early September, travelling from Dubrovnik to Brac via ferry.
An extreme weather alert for thunderstorms & flash flooding was put out for the entire region from Split to Dubrovnik (including Brac) for 24hrs, so ferry company cancelled the crossing.
Being on an island, there is *no other way* to access the hotel.

The ferry had been cancelled the day prior to travel, so we were able to notify the hotel 24hrs before our original check in that we’d be arriving asap for the second night of our stay *due to reasons totally out of our control*.

After having to shell out for an emergency extra night in Dubrovnik (not cheap last minute), we arrived at Bluesun to a ‘no show’ label for night one, despite the advanced warning, and a FULL charge for the night we were unable to make it to the island for.

There’s been ZERO flexibility/understanding/ compassion/basic common sense from Bluesun regarding refunding the night we couldn’t attend - I understand hotels have cancellation policies, but in the exceptional circumstance of an extreme weather alert that lead to cancelled transport?
Corporate GREED at its finest.

Imagine booking 3+ nights at a Bluesun hotel that were all affected by weather. That’s a lot to lose.

Disgusting customer service. AVOID.

PS - maintenance might want to check behind reception for a black hole that swallows personalities. All the charisma & warmth of two rusty tin cans.

Lovely hotel if you don’t mind ALOT of children!

The hotel is lovely and comfortable however 70% of the guests were under 5 - it was impossible to relax around the pool or eat in the resturant without the constant noise of multiple children playing up. I’m not one to complain and I don’t dislike children at all! (I completely understand that kids have their moments but you just couldn’t get away from that ever) I’m just dissapointed as I was really looking forward to getting away and relaxing but sadly it felt far that and it’s a real shame as Bol is beautiful and the hotel was lovely.

It’s a really nice and clean hotel but the experience didn’t feel that personal. The buffet has plenty of choice each day which was great, but if you want lunch you are limited to the pool bar only as the restaurant shuts and no drinks are included.

The kids club is really limited and there weren’t really activities by the pool despite being shown on the schedule, we selected the hotel because it had a kids club, but neither of our children would go :(

I think it’s a real shame that things like the indoor pool, bowling etc are an additional cost considering the price of this hotel.

The location is great, you can walk to the Port and the beaches so easily. We found some amazing restaurants close by, Noa being our fave!

This hotel is simply stunning, set on one of the most beautiful beaches imaginable. The location is perfection just a leisurely 5–10 minute stroll brings you to the finest restaurants along the sea walk. The property itself is truly unique, offering an experience unlike any other. It offered the best of best of everything you ever imagined from a beach getaway. The pool as well was stunning. Definitely worth your money. The breakfast buffet was beyond magnificent.

The hotel was spacious and very family friendly; however, there were a LOT of people and LOTS of small children. I love kids, but it was loud.

We were a family of four (14 yos). The hotel is very close to the beach & the beach is beautiful. Unfortunately, we had no view (just a wall - didn't bin the ocean view).
The buffet is packed with people. I ate breakfast at the buffet, but dinner was too hectic for me. There are plenty of places nearby that are more chill/enjoyable. Location is great. I would likely check out one of the other nearby hotels (Bretainde looked very nice) next visit though.

The property itself was great. The location is excellent and there are a ton of amenities, basically everything you could need, including a hair salon which was surprising.
That being said it’s pretty much a family resort, meaning there are a million unsupervised children running around screaming. The staff could have been friendlier, but Europeans tend to be rude in general lol. Aside from that my only complaints are that the AC in the room is preset to not go particularly low, and if you’re a hot sleeper and are visiting in July, that’s really annoying. And the pool closes at eight, which in my opinion is way too early for a hot summer month.

The hotel and its location are beautiful. Unfortunately we were given a ground floor room right next to the hotel entrance which was noisy starting at 5:00am. Upon check in I had asked for our Mountain View room as booked and I was told that the only room available was also very noisy because of the AC. So my only option was one of 2 noisy rooms.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Get a balcony room if you can.
Location is perfect close to the beach and the town. Short walk to both.
Breakfast is included and good selection. Dinner is ok but would suggest eating out locally instead.
Spa is nice and massage was good, although treatment not exactly as described on the menu.
If WiFi is important to you. This hotel has it down to an art. It seamlessly keeps you connected throughout the property.

Bluesun was a beautiful hotel steps from the famous Zlat Ratni beach on one side and the beautiful town of Bol on the other. Whenever I had a request the staff was quick to respond. The pool area was very nice and the bartenders at the pool bar were great. My only complaint was the quality of the food at dinner--it was mediocre at best.

We stayed there for 8 nights. Rooms are big enough and renovated. Cleaning is quite ok. Staff was polite and kind. The breakfast and dinner buffet was including various food and many choices, but the food were mass produced not tasty at all, and not made with any enthusiasm. Although not advertised as familiy hotel, it is a familiy hotel and it was very crowded. Overall, very disappointing, we expect more. Very high price to pay for such experience.

The place is nice, we booked it with breakfast and dinner, food is good, staffs are very nice.
We booked an ocean view room, but we barely able to see the ocean because there were lots of trees, but we get charge for ocean view room.
The air conditioning is set for 22 degrees in the room and guests can not change the room temperature by themselves. The drain in the shower was very slow.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. 5-6 mins walk to the Zlatni Rat beach and 7-8 mins walk to the town.
The staffs were just terrible and very unprofessional. Seems like they did not wanna be bothered. From the check in to check out the whole experience with staffs was just terrible, especially the front desk. The room was not fully cleaned. Some basic cleaning. The floor had some stains and we were able to clean it easily with the sanitized wipe. The shower had drain issues! And we had to ask them to fix it. Water was just backing up during the shower. We only tried the breakfast there and the coffee was just disgusting. I saw they were brewing new coffee over the old ones. The taste was just gross. Breakfast was ok. We did not even bothered ourselves to try the dinner. Again the only good thing about this property was the location.

I went to that Hotel with great enthusiasm, because I thought with all the comments that I read it was a four-star Hotel, really four stars, but I found that it was not like that, there were no towels for the pool or for the beach, everything was so crowded on the beach , that there was not even where to lie down, all the armchairs al was occupied, they do not have enough capacity for what they offer in high season, it is not a four-star hotel. The food looked like they kept the loaves from the day before. They tasted kept the fish still seemed reheated. The Hotel is beautiful, the location is very nice, it has a nice view, but it is not facing the sea, you have to walk to get to the beach, it is not how they show you in the Picture, it has several beaches in front and you have to ask which is the beach that belong that Hotel. I was wrong and I went to one where they kicked me out. I felt very sad, but hey, it's a matter of experiencing it yourself. Taxis are very expensive, they take advantage of tourists. The truth is that I have very little desire to return to Croatia!! Is a very nice place but I am very disappointed!! the beaches are stone beach!! if you go,you have to wear those slippers to swim in the sea, because if you don't you will leave with horrible foot pain!
This Hotel deserves two stars for the service and for the building, it deserves four stars.

The property was beautiful and right along the beach. It was a short walk to the town center where there are shops and restaurants, and boats to go on excursions like The Blue Cave Tour. We felt safe and it was very clean and well maintained. It was a perfect spot for a family vacation!

Breakfast finishes at 10 so very busy and noisy from 915 onwards, poor coffee, limited food choices, queues for most items. If it finished at 11, would spread the number of people out. No excuse for bad coffee.

Hotel has very much a business/confrernce feel.
We were there early in their season, but staff felt like tgey could not be bothered. They felt fatigued already.
They were not particularly friendly or forthcoming with a friwndly face.

Despite cards in the room saying that they were eco friendly and would only change towels if left on the floor, all towels were replaced everyday.

Modern room with comfy bed and nice outlook from balcony. 10-15 minute walk into Bol village from hotel along a lovely walkway next to the sea. Zlatni Rat beach in opposite direction and close by. We were half board and found the food very similar each day, more variety would have been nice although food was well cooked.

Amazing Stay for an amazing holiday

We had a really good stay at the hotel, the room was really clean and modern and got turned over everyday! We loved the pool, it’s was just the right size- could have done with a bit of music for atmosphere at both ends of the pool. The staff were all amazing with great English and always happy to help with a smile. They recommended some great trips and were honest about what they thought would suit us. The food was always very nice (half board) with a range of options, however keep in mind you do have to pay for drinks including water at dinner time. When checking out they gave us another room to have a shower and get ready as we had a later flight after check out time. All in all a fantastic memorable holiday in a beautiful place :)

I will definitely stay here again

First time visiting Bol and loving this island and this hotel is excellent. Easy access to both the harbour and the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout the whole hotel and the suggestions to ride the catamaran back to Split is the best advice ever!! That saves me from riding the winded road back to the ferry port which i had car sick on my inbound journey. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. Breakfast was excellent as well, lots of choices.

We had such a lovely stay and holiday overall couldn't complain about anything. Until our last morning, my mother slipped and fell and hurt herself in the restaurant at breakfast time. She fell quite hard on water that was already on the floor. I got a man who waits on attention for him to reply \"what can you do\". I was disgusted with the lack of help and care given to my 61 year old mother. I would of made a complaint that day only we had to leave early for a flight and didn't have time. She is now bruised with a swollen hand.

We are used to smaller hotels so we were really pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed staying here. The hotel is big but you actually aren’t aware of other guests as the room blocks are separated by section. Our superior double room perfectly faced the sea (over the pool from block D) and was big enough for us and our 4 yr old daughter on the pull-out bed. The full bathroom was a nice touch as you can’t always guarantee a bath on hols. Food at the restaurant was excellent quality, varied and plentiful (although it wasn’t quite as good towards the end of our week as I think the end of the season meant less guests and less variety to limit waste, which I’m ok with). The option of the indoor pool was essential for us as the outdoor pool wasn’t quite warm enough in September for our little one - although fine for the grown ups and she loved the outdoor kids paddling pool. The location was perfect as very close to the best beach in Brac, maybe Croatia and an easy marble walkway took you to Bol within 10 minutes. Breath-taking scenery, great beach bars and an all round great stay mean we are already working out when to come back!

Good location on the beachfront and for access to Zlatni Rat beach. Lovely pool area, plenty of loungers, nice spa. Bowling alley and sports bar were great fun. Not much entertainment while we were there (September). Hotel was very clean and well kept. Good choice at breakfast. We had a great view from our superior sea view room. Easy to book trips with reception. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Walk to the Rat!

Well situated about 10 min walk to Zlatni Rat beach however there is smaller beaches closer. The town/Marina is around 15 minutes walk. Pool area is nice and the breakfast Buffett has plenty of choice. Rooms large and clean, only thing that could improve the room is a better shower.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. We had lovely rooms overlooking the pool and it was not at all noisy, very family friendly. We absolutely loved the buffet breakfast and ate far too much. The pool and the surroundings were clean and there always seemed to be a few spare sunbeds. Overall a great hotel, well placed and perfect for a short break in Brac.

10 night stay in this great hotel with family and friends. The hotel staff were really accommodating, helping us check in early and making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is well equipped, offering lots on things on site and great support for activities across the island. It’s well positioned, in close proximity to the famous beach Zlatni Rat and the beautiful town of Bol.

The hotel and staff were nice. We had a one bedroom suite, which had two rollaway beds for our 2 children. One of the rollaways squeaked every time our child moved. Nonetheless, it kept all of us awake. We asked for it to be fixed after the 1st night, with no resolution.
Additionally we were recommended a snorkel tour in which we spent an additional hour waiting on a condensed scuba tour, all to look at a few fish and rocks. Certainly not worth it. I wish the hotel would have given is a better recommendation.

Good hotel with lots of amenities. The breakfast was outstanding, albeit quite busy and it was frustrating to see some people take bread and meat and make a plate of sandwiches at breakfast for later - we felt this was an abuse of the buffet and only drives costs up for everyone. Plenty of sun loungers available so no need to dash out and reserve any. Good size pool and a kids pool too. We weren’t expecting the animation - music, volleyball, aqua aerobics which was a bit annoying and we were hoping for a quiet holiday, but it didn’t last all day so not too much of a problem. Great location for the town and also for Zlatni Rat beach - 10mins stroll along the sea front promenade into town and 5 mins to the famous beach. The hotel beach itself wasn’t great - not a private beach and you had to pay for sub loungers, although we did enjoy the beach restaurant. The hotel has a number of linked bars/restaurants on site and nearby which was nice to have some variation. It was a shame that there wasn’t the option to upgrade to all-inclusive so our lunches and drinks were included - this would have made it 5* in my opinion.
Tons to do - spa, bowling, night club etc - we didn’t even touch the surface of this. I would definitely stay in a Bluesun hotel again, just beware that a partial sea view really does mean partial (if you stand in the corner of the balcony) and the rest of the view is looking at another hotel block, although still worth paying the extra for the balcony if you can.

Great location. The breakfast was huge! The room was a regular rectangular hotel room. Nothing special. Was clean. Had a fold out sofa bed but had to ask for linens for it late night by the time we realized it. The staff brought within a few minutes which we appreciated.

We loved the location of the hotel. Right in the middle of the city and Zlanti beach. An easy walk between the two.
The only issue was that the ac in our room was not working well. They did offer to switch us but the room was further away and had less view. When I asked for a fan they found one for me ( the only one in the hotel). They were very attentive. It worked but made it less comfortable.
The spa was fabulous!! We had wonderful massages and were able to use the multiple saunas and steam rooms.

Beautiful, clean property in the centre of the Old Town, less than 5 minutes walk to port, ferry, train and main bus terminals. Also an amazing breakfast in Luxor, ( situated on the Plato of Diocletian Palace), where we were sent for B&B ( which was included in the stay) . Staff at Centro di Centry could not have been more helpful and their free coffees were delight. Amazing bathroom equerry with super showers. Also the property is just 2-3 minutes away from a couple of super-equipped supermarkets, fruit and veg market, Bazaar, amazing bakeries and delicious restaurants. My favourite: ‘Silk’ -Oriental Asian restaurant with native chefs and finger licking Udon noodles and pork. Thank you for an amazing stay. Looking forward to return!

I would also like to recommend getting there breakfast and dinner it is well worth the extra cost,as their food is delicous! The entire hotel is a perfect 5!

Great Location but bedrooms need a refurb

Large hotel but staff quite unfriendly (except front desk). Rooms are tired and dated and they generally need a refurbishment.. Cleanliness is fairly good.
One annoying thing... they have notices in the rooms about caring for the environment and about all the hotel towels in the world that are washed needlessly every day.... if you want to reuse your towel, hang it up ... if you want it replaced, leave it in the tub...
We all know this is the correct thing for the planet but they do not implement it... you get a full set of towels each day regardless... we had left all of ours hanging up and all were replaced by housekeeping...
The location is perfect but the hotel is only ok..

This property has excellent facilities. A great pool, excellent gym for a hotel, decent wellness center, and nice big and clean rooms. The hotel is also very well located for all activities on Brac/Bol.
Unfortunately, the facilities far out pace the level of service by management and service personnel. I had to make two calls to the front desk in order to address each service issue . The hotel keeps the client hostage for laundry service, so you cannot do your own laundry. So instead of spending some time and little money ($20?) on doing your own laundry, you have to pay the hotel $200 to do your own laundry. Additionally, service personnel insisted on talking to my wife at the door about laundry bags, even after she told the person that she does not speak German, all the while I am stark naked and changing in the background. Finally, the wellness center does not allow people receiving services such as massages, facials, etc. to use the other spa facilities such as the sauna, whirlpool. Having vacationed in all parts of the world and getting massage services because of a degenerative back issue, I have always had access to other spa facilities after a massage.
