Good clean property with decent air con, and very helpful staff. Great location in Kandy close to main attractions. Quality of hotel quite basic but good given the budget price, didn’t have any food so can’t comment on this. Would go back again especially if wanting a more budget option in Kandy.

This hotel is well situated in the city but is Spartan in the extreme.
Literally one tiny bar of soap.
Tired and damaged fittings and soft coverings.

Service minded staff, great breakfast

Perfect place to stay while in Kandy for two nights. We’re a couple from Sweden staying in Kandy for a couple of nights before heading to Ella. Ceyloni staff were very friendly and service minded which made our stay great. Breakfast was also great with local dishes as well as omelette, fruits etc. Good sized rooms (normal) with a balcony. And good restaurants within 1-5 minutes walking. All in all there’s nothing at all to complain about.

A good value hotel; clean and modern within the city centre yet quiet within the rooms. The staff were exceptional and very polite. On the last day they offered us complimentary breakfast as we had booked 3 nights with them, which was a credit to how kind Sri Lankan people are.

Very good value

Very good value for money. English is spoken. Clean and new room, air conditioning working very well. Helpful staff, the younger guy helped us orginise the taxi to next destination and suggested couple of good stops on the way and the best driver we had during our 2-week trip in Sri Lanka. The neighbourhood is nothing special, but is central enough and therefore close to everything important. I would happily go back.

Fantastic service and very comfortable room!!

Great service at Ceyloni City Hotel!! They managed to find me a reserved train ticket to Ella for the day after I arrived (which I had tried to order online before my trip but was told they were all sold out). The room was very clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. Bathroom was also clean and modern. And breakfast was great too. Location was very convenient - a short walk to the Temple of the Tooth, the lake and the Clock Tower bus station.

Great stay in kandy

Nice breakfast (eggs coffee toast fruit), a bit of road noise, but that is expected as it is a busy city, good service, very genuine employees, ice cold A/C, English TV choices, decent wifi, overall a great stay.

It was newly built and was very clean and nice. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was really good too. Breakfast was fresh, lovingly prepared by the friendly staff which was consisted of omelette, toast, yoghurt and fresh fruit. everything was lovely and I really enjoyed the stay. Wifi was great too.

This place should not be place in Orbitz, I usually trust what's on Orbitz. But, this hotel is nowhere close to the standards of a hotel. It doesn't have a parking facilities guests (I still wonder what kind of hotel is this?) and you have to park on road, which is not available during night (good luck finding a safe parking spot). I had my room in 4th floor, which I had to take staircase ALL the time. This hotel doesn't have a working elevator. I highly regret choosing this place over many other good hotels in Kandy.

Lovely modern hotel in a good location in city centre. Super friendly staff who were very helpful with luggage, questions, requests etc. Great breakfast and nice new rooms. Only negative would be that it’s a bit loud, but expected given its in the city centre, just bring ear plugs! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Strange hotel but staff are friendly.

A very odd hotel..entrance is open ground floor stairs to 4th reception. Not a welcoming front to a hotel but staff were kind. Noisy due to location which is easy walking but i personally would not choose to stay again in the centre. Kandy is very busy and lots of traffic noise can be heard in the room from early morning.

Good for one night.

Hotel has only been open 6 months. In a good location. They are currently waiting to install an elevator. The reception was on 3rd floor and our room on 4th so the stairs kept us fit. We were assisted with our bags. We returned around 10:45pm after dinner and one of the staff was waiting for us before closing the roller door on the street. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was hot. There was a small bar fridge & tea making facilities. I suggested they leave a light blanket in the cupboard for when it gets cooler.

Great value hotel in the centre of Kandy.

We stayed here for 1 night to be near to the station for or train to Ella the next day. It’s in a great central location, a few minutes walk from the Temple of the Tooth and the main town.

The hotel is newly renovated so everything was in good condition. Our room was a little small but had a nice bathroom with big shower.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming, they even gave our driver free accommodation which we weren’t expecting given the price we’d paid.

Overall a great value option if you’re looking so somewhere to stay in Kandy on your way through.

The hotel is in smack in the middle of the city, within walking distance from the Temple of the Tooth, the Kandy City Center Shopping Mall‎, and lots of restaurants. The room itself was clean and well maintained, although a little more space in the room would have been nicer. The staff had a warm smile on their face every time we saw them.

The hotel rooms were on the 4th and 5th floor, and there was no elevator. The staff was happy to get my bags up to my room promptly though.

Parking was on the street and we ended up paying LKR 130 (less than $1) for a night, which wasn't too bad at all.

Clean and Affordable Stay

Our stay in this hotel was great. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to the Temple of Buddah's Tooth, and located across the road from a great local restaurant. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Brand new hotel in Kandy city centre

Hotel is only a few months old (as at September 2017) and everything in room is very new. Most of the hotels in Kandy are outside the city centre and that makes it difficult to explore the city in late evenings or early mornings. Ceyloni inn is in the middle of the city and that means you have everything you need around the corner and you can be out and about knowing your room is not far. You can catch a tuk tuk just outside the hotel. Staff are very friendly. The Sri Lankan breakfast that you pay extra for (about US$ 4) is fresh and great. WiFi was good and the signal was strong. Clean and fresh rooms with all new things make it a pleasant stay. Rooms are not big but big enough for a one or two nights of stay. In a few months, there will be more facilities but at the moment, there are two empty floors.

Kleinschalig, net hotel in Kandy

Na het verschonen van het bedlinnen omdat het op de eerste keer niet schoon was, was het een heel prima hotel.

Medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk, ontbijt is prima (je krijgt veel te veel, met heel veel variatie) en de kamer is klein (voor Aziatische begrippen), maar wel prima.

De omgeving van het hotel is lekker druk, maar voelde voor ons zeker veilig aan.

年越しに1泊だけ、宿泊しました。
仏歯寺近くにあり、周りにはレストランもいくつかありました。
ホテル内はとても清潔で過ごしやすかったです。
スタッフの方はいろいろ話しかけてくださり、朝食もオムレツを焼いてくれて、美味しくいただきました。
とても快適に過ごせました。

入口、レセプションの場所が少々わかりにくいと思いました。
広さは十分です。キャンディの中心部よりやや外れた所にありますが、だいたいの店は徒歩圏内にあります。2日目の夜テレビかケーブルの故障でテレビが見られませんでした。ホテルの人の対応は親切です。

Vilken manager, så underbart trevlig. Toppenläge, kändes centralt. Hissen är installerad. Vi hade tidig avresa med tåget. Hotellet ordnade en frukostkasse med juice, yoghurt, mjukt bröd, Crackers, vatten och tre sorters frukt. Rekommenderas!!!

Très bien situé dans Kandy (ville bruyante par contre). Hôtel clean, confortable et personnel vraiment sympa. Parfait pour un petit séjour, on peut tout visiter à pied.
