Convenient spot on in Krabi Old town with complimentary refreshments and snacks in the room! There is a much and mellow cafe downstairs and a really nice 7/11 a 5 minute walk away. -1 because some staff were friendlier than other but I guess that is a given anywhere you stay

Extremely difficult staircase to access the room with no lift. Noisy air conditioning system which sounded like there was running water into the system all night.

We noticed the bed had only 1 pillow each, and cushions. We lie 2 pillows, we asked and were told “No, but to use the cushions”. This did not feel hygienic, are the covers being washed? Room was quirky. No hot water at the basin, cold only. Shower electric so hot water there. Well located. Walkable to restaurants etc. poor soundproofing from other rooms. But the flat refusal for 2 more pillows left a slightly bitter taste in honesty.

Nice hotel in centre of Krabi. We just stayed for one night before our boat to Phi Phi, found it conveniently located and a nice large room. There were a couple of bars and restaurants nearby, and only 10 minutes to the port - great coffee in the cafe downstairs too.

Although this was a very quick stay for me, the room was very comfortable and the shower is nice. They even left me a croissant outside my door as I was leaving to the airport. Super friendly staff and it’s right above a coffee shop so very convenient for food

Good place to stay in Krabi Town

I enjoyed my stay. The bed was very comfy, and the place felt like being at home. The air con, hot water, wi fi worked well. TV has minimal channels in English; a smart TV (to stream) would have been really nice. Fresh coffee each day (to grind and make drip coffee in the room) was a great touch.

The staff are all very nice, professional. The cafe below the hotel is quite the happening place, good stuff there. Each night I got a pastry and milk left in front of my door, so sweet !

The area is quiet (generally), I slept great. I would stay here again. The people in Krabi town are so nice and accommodating; everything I needed was nearby. Great jump off place to live while exploring Krabi

The cafe is right downstairs at level 1 . Small boutique hotel but service was good . As need to walk up a flight of stairs to level 2 reception, the staff helps to carry the luggages.

We stayed at 7 hotels within 3 weeks on our honeymoon and this was our favorite. The room was quaint and felt so comfortable. The staff provided us some leftover pastries each night from the cafe downstairs. Parking is easy out front if you have a rental car. We also have to say: if you're staying here, make sure you go to dinner at the Tin Grill, two doors down for dinner at least once!

Very nice staff nice room and great location.
We got bad weather in Krabi and decided to cancel one of the nights which the management entirely refused to refund.
Careful with losing the room key as they will charge you 200baths. You only get one room key by the way.
Steep hard to climb stairs to access your room which you will have to do by getting through a coffee shop they also run. This was awkward and uncomfortable at times.

Great location with easy access to the likes of Railay Beach for just 150THB for long tail boat. Decor of rooms set up to feel very homely with the added bonus of a huge bed. Initially thought spiral staircase would be an issue with lots of luggage but staff on hand to carry bags etc. No complaints and would have no hesitation recommending this to anyone.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. Look no further and book it if you’re looking to stay in Krabi town. From the warm welcome to the intricate decor, this boutique hotel is so cozy, I didn’t want to leave!! There is a cafe downstairs (which is closed every Wednesday) with good food and coffee. It was a 3-5 minute walk to the pier to catch a long boat to Railay. Definitely the best hotel in Krabi town!

This is an amazing small hotel in Krabi town. The rooms are large and extremely well laid out. The bed is fantastic!
The breakfasts are enormous and of the highest quality. The coffee is the best you will ever taste.
This is a family run hotel and I will be delighted to return again....give it a go...you will not be disappointed.

PS Due to a spiral staircase not suitable for elderly or wheelchairs.

Boutique stay at the quiet side of krabi town,great for peeps who appreciate some time off. We did not get the breakfast voucher instead did it ala carte, they serve fantastic food that comes with a nice portion. Room amenities comes with curated personal care, comfortable slippers and robe,
great bedding, daily replenish cookies(3 different types) and drip coffee. They even have tour packages of private hire for our selection, at a reasonable price, very convenient and speedy. Everyone there are All Smiles, great service and place to stay with.
Downside: no lift and limited TV program but that would apply to whole of krabi though.

I got to be honest about my review since this will may help others for booking this location. I think the hotel itself is really nice and good staff overall but i will give 3 stars just because how I felt in the end. It could have been my number 1 recommendation to everyone if anyone will stay near Krabi town but this review hopefully help both hotel and customer. The story starts from my rental for a motorbike. I rode a day and found out there was a flat on the rear tire. I had switch to different one and flat got fixed and charged me 650 baht. So when i came back to hotel after the tour, the staff told me i have to pay for the repairing fee. It happened when i was riding so i didnt like the fact but I told the staff i will pay before check out. Next morning, i woke up early in the morning and decided to pay all the charges that were accrued before checking out since i do not like deal with the money matters at the end and check out quickly instead. I paid the full amount and saw a staff who stamped paid on the receipt. I didnt ask for a copy which was a dumb decision and when i was checking out, new staff ask me again that I owe them reparing fee. I told the staff That i paid already in the morning. While I was waiting at the front for the taxi, a different staff came over and said that i have to pay the repairing cost 2 more times which made me very very uncomfortable. Hope there is a system set in place so not 3 different staff telling me I owe them a repairing fee.

Bit pricey, but lovely stay!

My partner and I stayed at Family tree for two nights. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cozy, the bed comfortable. The hotel, room, and bathroom were very clean. They provided free fresh coffee, and home-made cookies in the room. As well as free water and juice in the room refrigerator. The bathroom had natural body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. They also loan out a water-tight beach bag, including towels and a couple bottles of water. Very happy with our stay here!

Great stay, with one criticism

The hotel is very good. There are a lot of little touches that make for a welcoming and pleasant stay. My only gripe would be that on the morning of my departure (12 noon), I availed myself of the full amount of time available to me, checking out at about 11.45an. For at least an hour prior to this, I had the cleaner repeatedly sweeping and mopping the floor directly outside of my room, frequently hitting the door of my room. My suspicions that this was some type of passive aggressive message for me to clear the room were confirmed when no sooner had I left the room than he was in the vacated room immediately. I believe that this type of conduct by hotel staff should be discouraged. Otherwise a great stay.

It's a small and homely place, but the rooms we got were amazing. Well-furnished and stocked with the most natural/organic amenities. We had breakfast and two lunches at the restaurant below during our stay, the food was reasonably priced and tasted wonderful. Will definitely be back!

We informed one of the owners that it was our honeymoon and she brought us some wine and flowers. The family that runs the hotel is so sweet and accommodating. This was our first hotel after our 30+ hours of traveling and we could not have chosen a better place. The family that owns and runs the hotel and cafe are wonderful! The hotel was very clean, comfortable and beautiful. It was a quick walk to Wat Kaew Temple, walking street market, the Mud Crab sculpture and bars. The food and coffee in the cafe was fantastic and again the people were so nice! They booked a ride for us to the ferry and the ferry to Koh Phi Phi. I would recommend the Family Tree to everyone, I can't wait to go back.

Pleasant stay with Family Tree Hotel

Hotel room is has very nice, classy and comfortable design, definitely 5 star hotel standard. The lobby is a cafe which serves western style menu. We had two breakfast set, the presentation was beautiful and the taste was awesome. Location wise, it is 2 streets from the weekend Krabi night market. Definitely a strong recommendation to stay with Family Tree Hotel if you are visiting Krabi.

I stay in the best hotel's actually i just lnded from a stay in SANTOSA resort singapore.. high end 5star and this place would put it to shame with attention to detail. Breakfast was unreal and was between 07:30 & 16:30... its family run and the hotel tells the story about it! If you are a traveller on a budget and want to splash out a little then this should be the treat and book it, or any couples, families etc... equally this place is made for everyone.

Although around this area there isn't much to do, except the night market that's just walking distance that opens on Fri, Sat and Sun, I had the best staycation ever in this hotel. All staff are very friendly and it makes me feel like home! It's a really beautiful place and they have tip top facilities. The cafe also serves delicious food especially their desserts! Highly recommended to everyone!! I would love to come back to this place again (:

Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht dort.
Enge Wendeltreppe zur Rezeption im 1. Stock mit Gepäck eine echte Herausforderung, keine Hilfe durch Personal verfügbar, also definitiv nicht barrierefrei!
Sehr laute Klimaanlage, ohne die es im Zimmer (Reisezeit Anfang Februar) aber unerträglich warm war.
Armaturen in der Dusche und am Waschbecken stark abgenutzt und teils angerostet.
Balkon viel zu klein für eine sinnvolle Nutzung zu zweit (außer man ist vielleicht Raucher).
Gute Lage zum Nightmarket und Hafen.
Der Kaffee im Restaurant im Erdgeschoss (muss man zur Rezeption hindurch) ist allerdings wirklich sehr gut, wie auch das Essen, soweit probiert!
Würden das Hotel aber trotz des akzeptablen Preises nicht wieder buchen.

Rummet var fräscht och fint. Tyvärr endast spiraltrappa till hotellet genom ett kaffe. Bökigt om man har stort/tungt bagage då hiss saknas. Annars var läget förtäffligt med alla nattmarknader på gångavstång. Skulle absolut tänka mig att bo igen däremot med ett mindre bagage eller ryggsäck nästa gång.
