The staff were extremely friendly and let us check in early for no additional cost. The communal areas were well stocked and well looked after. The area of the hotel being close to the shopping and markets as well as the metro which is super convenient. The room it self was different to the one we booked with an additional mattress and unit that had no duvet or pillows. The room was clean and bed reasonable comfortable. The bath room needs some work and renovated. It looked worse for wear and whenever we had a shower it flooded our room. For a night or two this hotel is fine but for longer periods of time I’m not so sure. Definitely needs some work being done to for sure.

The room is very small but for sleeping at the end of the day it's sufficient.

Walls are very thin. On our last night, a family arrived and the noise from their room was none stop and unbearable. We could not sleep for a minute.

First timer in Korea and also first solo travel. Couldn’t have picked a better accommodation than K-Guesthouse! It’s clean, near bus and train stations and right at the center of the famous Myeongdong street/ shopping district. So many stores and food stalls around. Roman, the manager is also very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The room is small however not an issue if you will be out most of the day and just need somewhere to sleep and shower. Basic amenities, communal kitchen area and water cooler which was handy for filling our water bottles. Now the location is fantastic! Literally a couple steps away from the heart of myeongdong which was super convenient for us as we would just go back to the room to drop off shopping before heading out again. Didn’t find it noisy at all. Would recommend if you aren’t a fussy traveller wanting a room with all the bells and whistles :)

Notwithstanding that the hotel was very close to Myeongdong Street and the train station, the facilities were relatively basic although the design looked minimalistic. The mattress was very hard and there was no proper ventilation in the room, save for the tiny ventilation in the washroom. There was also a smell in the room and there was absolutely no space for the luggage. The only good thing about the property was that the staff was very friendly.

Didn't like the fact I have to carry big luggage down and up. noise can be heard next door easily but that wasn't too bad in my case. Instead of providing four small towels, they could have provide two big ones.

Thank god it was just one night stay

You will get what you paid for. The building itself smelled and they tried covering up with tons of room sprays. The room is pretty small with super thin walls. There were small nats coming up thru the drain, which smelled aweful. Shower I didnt even dare trying taking it. Close to everything but no elevators. I say spend extra 30 dollars and go somewhere decent. If you had to go to a guesthouse, U would say Sunshine guesthouse is in the better condition.

Perfect Location to Myeongdong Shopping

I got into Seoul after 10p so decided to take a cab since the last bus would be gone by the time I got my bag/customs etc. I asked the information booth to translate the address in Korean for my cab driver. He was able to enter it into his GPS system. After hours check-in was simple. My key was on the counter and I just helped myself to the room. Location was in a prime spot, near all the shopping streets but also not in the middle of it all. Was also conveniently located near Namsan Tower. I took a cab up [$3USD] and walked back down. Starbucks and convenient store on each side of the hotel. The street it's on is also great for hailing a cab. Room itself was comfortable for 1 person. Only 2 things I'd recommend are mattress toppers and standard towels. Not only could I feel the springs, I could see them. Luckily I had a twin room so I used the extra comforter as a topper. And the only towels provided were 6 hand towels. Overall - my stay was nice. Owner Eunsuk is friendly and accommodating.

This guesthouse is located in heart of Seoul, close to Myeongdong Station and Shinsegae department store(duty free shop as well) only 3 minutes by walk. Complimentary breakfast is included with accommodation. Very convenient for tourists, affordable price as well! All of staffs were kind, helped carrying our luggages to up and down.
Just one thing that I can advise to you is bring your amenities(hand soap and face soap).

This is a nice and affordable hotel located nearby shopping spots. Just less than 1 mins. Everything were fined but just.... this hotel gave no lift..: so if you having large luggage/heavy luggage, will difficult/hard to carry up to your room. Otherwise, perfect!

Get a Triple Room if traveling 2 person.

Booked Std Double room but given Economy double room, the room like a cage i would say. Air conditioner full of mould and smell stink all time and making weird noise while operating. Getting old the hard like a rock bed and air conditioner shud service, take only room wit window as the air con doesnt work. Definitely not suitable for family or couples. Bfast was too simple with white bread n cereal, cant even fried an egg as frying pan and cooking tools not available. And the staircase like nightmare! No lift, u need to climb 4th floor everyday and carrying luggages all way up. The only thing is ok is the location, is at the shopping street nothing else is good. You need a place to rest properly but this place(room) is not cozy,noisy (terrible sound insulation), with a lil more price u pay just go for slight better homestay or hotel. I will never recommend friends to this particular K-guesthouse in Myeong-dong. Been in Korea for 10 days, changed 4 guesthouses, this the worst we ever experienced.

If you saw this comment, you dont have to do any other survey because i have checked all hotel in myeong dong area..this hotel is so super clean, location is so superb(just right beside Isaac toast), and the price is so affordable..

Only one disadvantage for this hotel is you have to climb up to 3th Floor(i need to carry my gf luggage down to for 3 floor for 2 times) = =

Overall is good, by the way breakfast is free (simple 1 la..)

Goes beyond its price point

Clean room with everything you could want in hot humid Asia. Service was top tier and there was even a guide to room and life functions that you could read (made ordering that top tier korean chicken super easy). Daily breakfast was good too.

Location was really good. Write next to a subway station and bus stop that will take you to all the major tourist locations while being close to a 24hr korean restaurant.

Overall had an amazing stay here and can definitely recommend it

Myeongdong shopping street is just right behind the guesthouse. The room was clean and more spacious than what we expected. The building doesn't have a lift but the staffs are more than willing to help you with your luggages!! The staffs are very friendly and patient in answering my equires too!

Convenient guesthouse in myeongdong

Perfect location at the edge of myeongdong shopping area, enjoying the convenience without the noise. Just 3-5 min walk from myeongdong station exit 5, next to the famous Issac toast. The manager Eunsuk is friendly and helpful! The room is small but clean and tidy, shower is hot and strong enough, wifi is stable. Only drawback would be the mattresses are toooo hard for me.
Overall a good place to stay for its price!

The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. The hotel location is strategic as it is just located in the centre of Myeongdong. It is just a 2 minutes walking distance towards the subway station and to the shopping streets. The staff of the hotel is helpful and can speak a good english. The hotel does not have lift and you need to carry your luggage and climb up the staircases to 2nd floors.

Most unpleasant guesthouse experience of all.
Pictures that are uploaded of the room do not entirely showcase the full size of the room. The triple rooms way too small, even for small sized persons like myself.
Triple rooms are on the 5th floor, so be prepared to climb many flights of stairs everyday.
If i had not read some of the reviews, i would not have known that i would need to bring my own bath towel as the size of the towels provided was really small. But that can be overlooked since it is a guesthouse. It took a while for the water to warm up as well. I was already almost done showering in freezing cold water before the water turned warm.
However, what was most appalling was the cleanliness of the bed, and the way the staff handled the issue. When we checked in, our sheets were stained with something that looks like blood. And when we asked if our sheets could be changed that evening, he said 'Can i change them tomorrow?' So because we were tired after our flight we used the towels to cover the stain and slept. The next morning, my friends got hives on her leg! And even after they changed the sheet for us, there was too another stain on it, which they had used correction fluid to try and cover it!
The managers are normally not there most of the day, which is unhelpful. Plus the main door to the hostel does not require a passcode or key for staying guests to enter. Its constantly unlocked! This is terribly unsafe, especially for female guests like myself.

I had a great experience at the K-Guesthouse Myeongdong. The staff were very helpful always willing to give suggestions on attraction and were very knowledgeable about the local area. The location was very close to the subway which makes it really easy to get around and shopping area in Myeongdong is extremely close. The morning breakfast was a lovely touch and gave for an opportunity for guests to meet each other. As a mostly solo traveler I found it a very welcoming environment and other guests were kind and friendly.
overall I would 100% stay here again when I next travel to Korea and would highly recommend it to others.

Good location with late shopping at myeongdong

Its good to be there as the location is superb good. No slope to reach to the guesthouse consider easy to locate, just myeongdong exit 5, walk straight. A turn into myeongdong shopping area. But the stairs and comfort of the bed is not so comforting.

If you dont mind a hard bed, you would enjoy this. If you dont mind climbing to level 5 after a tired day from shopping, you would enjoy this (as we stayed at level 5). Anyway, we realised our bed sheet was not changed after they clean your room, its quite disappointing. But the staffs are helpful and they have everything at guesthouse (weighing device, toilet paper, blah blah blah). Foods not kept after 10am which could help latecomers have a quick bite before going out. However, house rules and ways for having the warm water for shower should brief beforehand. As we experience difficulties in finding out the warm water and we were abit disappointed from the cleaniness of the kitchen. Someone just leave their utensils not clean. Their wall are just not solid and its fake wall.

This hotel in on the 3rd floor. It's ok for youngster, but for family, I am not recommend it because the triple room is on the 5th floor and you have to climb the stair everyday. The staff, Mark Jean is nice, he helped to carry the luggage during my stay. The location is very convenient, can easily find food and cosmectic product. It's save the transport money too.

The best point for this guesthouse is the neighborhood. The location is strategic and it makes moving around Seoul very easy. Hotel managers are very helpful, friendly and speaks English.

As for the room it is small but expected for a guest house. Bed are very hard, pillows are bubble air and walls are paper thin. If your neighbors are noisy, bring earplugs, they may talk all night or even speak loudly in the corridor. Also the room may have tiles windows, so get an eye mask to avoid the light coming from the outside (no curtains). Bathroom is spacious and comes with shampoo, conditioner and body soap but comes with towels for ants (very small).

Initially, we found it really tiny, & we had to lug our bags up the stairs, but after a day we got used to it. Being in the heart of Myeongdong, location was good. Manager was chatty and helpful. Washing machines were free for use & clothes cud be hung to dry on the rooftop. There was also a file recommending where to eat and where to go. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

My family of 3 adults occupied a very small triple room with a double bed n single bed placed together n there is no way one can get out of the bed without disturbing anyone. However, the plus point is that the hotel is in Myeongdong shopping area n the airport shuttle bus is just 5 mins away.

Mark and Jason were the managers there during my stay, they were always very friendly and polite with any of my inquiries. They were great to talk to in regards to getting around in the area. The room was small, but a very comfortable size, as most of my time was spent exploring the area around Myeongdong. The location is very convenient as it is near a subway exit and literally around the corner from the main shops

スタッフの方は親切でしたが…窓の無いお部屋ですわかってましたが下水の匂いがすごいのと、手洗いの水道を捻ると下から黒い物体と同時に水が溢れて来ました。水捌けがあまり良く無いので足元がすごい状態になります。ベットかシーツが汚れていたり布団カバーのチャックが壊れていてむき出しだったりホステルとは言えビックリと言う感じです。カフェコーナー近くのお部屋で利用時間も書いてありましたが夜中も携帯音量も気にせず食事をしていたり、男女4人が話をしていてとてもうるさかったです。

The location was perfect right in central Myeongdong, so I could quickly get back after exploring or eating out. It took just five minutes to walk to the subway station, which made traveling around Seoul super easy. The place was very clean, and the common areas were well kept, so I felt relaxed staying there. They offered free breakfast, and there was a shared kitchen, which came in really handy. I really enjoyed my stay, great spot, convenient setup, and everything I needed was there.

建物は新しくないですが各階に水&湯のサーバー完備、ちゅう2階(ちゅう3階？)部分に小さいキッチンがありコーヒーとお茶が用意されています。部屋の匂いは気にならずエアコン、冷蔵庫完備、シャワーの水圧も充分でした。他の方の口コミにあるように立地が最高です。2階フロントにマネージャーが常駐(夜間は不在だが連絡先があり国内通話用電話有)されていて安心でした。日付けが回ってしまう位の真夜中に到着したのですが、私の名前で既に誰かが間違えてチェックインしていたらしく、私の予約表も鍵も無く、真夜中にフロントから電話したら直ぐに来て素早く対応して頂くというハプニングがありました。感謝！

All was great. The manager is very kind. They give a Korean snacks as a welcome gift. Location is great all market is in 5-10min. It's located on the side of the road, so it's safe, and transportable, and also good for shopping.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Myeongdong and it was such a great experience. The staff were really friendly, and the room was simple but clean and comfortable. The best part was the location—it’s right in the heart of Myeongdong, so everything is within walking distance. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

Ill come again next time.The guesthouse is located on the side of the main road, so it is safe and convenient for transportation.
It's very good to shop because it's centered in Myeong-dong.
There have also a rooftop, so it's good to not have to go out of the building when you smoke.
The manager is very friendly.
They also gives Korean snacks.

Quarto minúsculo para o preço

Vamos lá, tentarei ser o mais justo, o quarto para um ocidental é de pagar $20/noite no máximo, mas estamos na asia onde tudo é reduzido menos os preços, então vou imaginar que é a realidade deles. Naontem acesso por elevador, sim, vai ter que subir escadas. A entrada nem parece hotel, mas é! Fica bem localizado e da pra fazer tudo a pé.

Probably ill come again. Great place , with everything you need . Large communal kitchen area. Manager good communications and kind. Room also good and clean. You can keep your suitcase upstairs,free tea!

何もかも男なら許容できる。
女性は無理かもしれない。

教養設備とかはとても綺麗だし、スタッフも親切に対応してくれる。

個室は全体的には綺麗だけど、ちょっとシーツが破れてたり、壁に蜘蛛の巣じゃないけど、なんか糸が張ってたりした。

みんながシャワー使う時間は水しか出ないときがあったけど、まぁそれが文化ということであまり気にならなかった。

総評すると、
悪すぎる事がないのにも関わらず、立地が最強すぎるので、もし次韓国行く時もここを使うと思います。

Good place to stay in seoul. Very clean and cozy. On the 5th floor you can smoke. Close to the road and metro. Very sefety. Many shopping centers in 5 minutes. It was very comfortable, I will come again. Thank you!

Thank you for a good time. I will come again. Inside the room there is an air cleaner, air conditioning, refrigerator, hairdryer. Also very convenient location on the myeongdong. There is a direct bus from the airport and to Incheon airport. Very clean guesthouse and friendly staff. Thank you very much.
