We stayed at this hotel so we could attend the Morgan Wallen concert at Bryant-Denny Stadium on April 18, 2026. The hotel met all of our expectations and they didn’t jack up the prices because of the concert like a lot of other hotels in the area did.

We had an “Upgraded Room”. I would hate to see a regular room. It was nasty! There was a stain on the sheet, brown stuff on the shower walls, hair in the shower, the mini fridge was dirty and there was even a used contact lense stuck to the wall. Not to mention the smell in the room was bad. We were here for the Morgan Wallen concert so every room in town was sold out and we had already missed the time to cancel without paying or we would have slept in the car or driven to Birmingham. The employees were nice and friendly but that is the only good thing I can say about this place. NEVER AGAIN FOR US!

Horrid. Staff kept my drivers license and forgot to give it back for about 1.5 hours. Then room service walked right in on me 30 mins after I checked in room. Loud in the hallway for both nights I was there - nothing done about it. Shady things going on too and very unsafe.

The staff is friendly, professional, they take care of the place really well, my room was clean and the free breakfast was good. I was in town for work for two weeks, the room had a kitchenette and that was nice, they also had the main dishes you would need so i didn't have to buy any. I would have gave the place 5 stars but the owners need to put money into a renovation. It needs an update. But other than that it was good.

Unless you’re a truck driver or a single man who doesn’t care where you lay your head…no! There were no other rooms available for hotels 4 stars and up. Building smelled, hallways smoky and moldy smell. The room was not clean, bathroom was disgusting with red stuff splattered all over the walls, door and shower curtain. Went to the front desk to ask for a new room, they were all dirty. People coming in and out all times of the night. We went to Target and bought cleaning supplies, bed linen, a broom and new shower curtain. Never in my life have I ever and never again.

Didn’t see or have to use a business facility but the dining atmosphere was sufficient, they had all of the essentials, breakfast was a country feed w biscuits and gravy, you could smell the butter on the biscuits. It’s a renovated hotel with all of the rooms on the inside, it’s a Cracker Barrel, Taco Bell and Jacks within walking distance or less than 30 sec drive, gas stations also. I had to pick this hotel by default and was hesitant at first but the staff was very friendly and made it a pleasant stay. I felt safe with them and cameras are on the property. I could see myself staying there because of them, it was clean with microwave and mini fridge w/ a good price point. Thanks Stormy see you soon.

Never been keen on staying at Red Roof, but I decided to give them a chance to prove their worth. Boy was I wrong!

The lobby restroom has no towels or hand-drier. Was given a room on the 5th fl, but the bed wasn't made. They gave me another room also on the 5th fl, but again, the bed wasn't made. The receptionist then compiled a list & went to go check those rooms herself. She gave me one with a kitchenette. Nice, right?

Not so. There were hairs everywhere in the bathroom, in the tub, on the toilet seat, and when I reached for a plastic cup to flush them down, there were hairs on the still wrapped cups too. The desk chair had multiple disgusting stains on, I had to put a bath towel over it so I could sit.

The next morning, the elevator door only opened 10\" & not more. Good thing my 3rd room was on the 2nd fl, so I opted to take the stairs. Scrambled eggs were ice-cold, sausage patties were burned beyond recognition. The supposedly strong coffee was weaker than an English afternoon tea.

The place looks dated & run down. It seems the management has given up on it.

The receptionists were pleasant, but that's the only good thing I can report here.

Save your hard-earned dollars & stay in any of the hotels nearby instead.

Room was outdated, bed was hard, and not comfortable. Location was not good and would not recommend to a lady traveling alone. We had dogs barking, kids screaming, doors slamming at all hours of the night. We stayed on the fifth floor and the elevators were slow and scary with the noises they made so we used the stairs. I would never stay at this location again!

Upon checking in and entering my room the room had a strange smell. Additionally my bed was covered in dog fur. I didn’t realize this is a pet friendly hotel when I booked it but even so it seemed as if they had remade the bed from a previous guest and didn’t change the sheets at all which leads me to believe the towels weren’t changed either

Check in was easy, the staff was helpful and courteous, the room was quiet and breakfast was better than at most hotels.
However, the bathtub had quite a few dark hairs in it (my hair is white, so they weren't mine) and there weren't any tissues.

This was an absolutely unacceptable stay. There were roaches in the room and hallway, including a half-dead one in the shower—disgusting and inexcusable. The floor was dirty and downright disgusting, showing a clear lack of cleanliness. The toilet ran nonstop the entire time, and the room was unbearably humid. Nothing about this hotel matched the positive reviews; it was a complete disappointment. I strongly warn others to stay away, and I will never return.

Not great, not terrible. Well, maybe on the way to terrible. The room seemed clean, but its condition was not the best. There was staining and bubbling on the bathroom door, and chargers if bathroom appeared dirty. An ironing board on the wall was also heavily stained. Oh, and a carpet next to the bed smelled like dirty feet.

I was visited by a cockroach while sitting at the desk in the room. Window only had one covering, the heavy light-blocking curtain. So you could not get daylight in the room without opening your window to the parking lot. The above-bed lights were bright flouerescent.

Staff was friendly.

No fruit/fresh items at breakfast.

Decent Stay - Over priced.

We had to find a hotel last minute when we got tired driving home from the beach. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. However the pillows were TERRIBLE on the beds, and are flat as a rock. The beds are hard, and we did not sleep well. Someone started smoking in their room somewhere around us the next morning and we hurried out so we didn't smell the smoke.

I just really booked it for the price. Not that nice but all I had to do was sleep. The pillows were not comfy and flat and not enough pillows, and the A/C was really noisy like a dishwasher running all night long. Ice machines were broken too except for on 3rd floor.

Unexpected Room #1 Surprise

First room literally had large drops of condensation on the ceiling dropping onto floor, beds, desk, fridge. We quickly changed rooms. 2nd room bathroom fan (room 206) has large tendrils of dust and dirt hanging from it.
It was a busy Univ of Alabama weekend with freshman move-ins. Most other hotels were full and gouging on the price in Tuscaloosa. The rate was reasonable if you're not expecting more than a 2-star experience.

First thing we saw walking into the room was roaches crawling on the floor. The room smelled funky and not good. The building is falling apart and patched back together in crappy fashion. The phones dont work, theres no lights in the ceiling. The toiletries provided are awful. I chose this hotel because it had 8.2 stars and I have no idea how because this had to be the worst hotel I've stayed at. I feel like I deserve a refund.

Comes w a pre clogged toilet and strangers!?

groups foreign men wandering around property at all hours of the day and night stating they lived there. Parking is only around side where these people habg out all day or in the back . The breakfast was good. My room came w pre clogged toilet and stains on wall near toilet i can only imagine. Bed is old . The room is humid. Rust and stains of god knows what all over . The Ac sounds like its underwater and not draining properly so all the moisture is in the room. I was so tired after a 15 hour drive to care at this point. Slept. Showered and left

When we entered the room, the floor was wet. We thought it had just been mopped, but it didn't dry, so we wiped it with towels. Everything continued to sweat, even the bed felt damp. When we woke up everything was wet even the ceiling.We reported it to the front desk and they gave us a refund.

Room was subpar, floors were dirty and needed to be swept and mopped. Shower drained very slowly. Linens and towels were stained. We also had gnats or sewer flies flying around in our room trying to get in out food. Bed was ok, quiet for the nost part. Check in staff was very sweet and super helpful. Very nice young lady and ahe definitely deserves a raise! Not many young ppl with her level of professionalism around these days.
