The beds weren't very comfortable (seemed like a futon mattress on a metal frame with no box spring) the refrigerator looked rusty and looked like someone had tried to paint it in spots, there was no lamp in the room only overhead lighting. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed. The young lady at the desk was very professional and helpful. She made the stay nice with her friendliness and willingness to be of assistance. Overall not a terrible place to stay.

I have stayed in multiple Extended Stay America places and I was surprised to see that this place had no utensils within the room or utensils to check out for the stay available. When asked about them, they said that I could purchase a set to keep but they had none available for us. This was totally unexpected! This made the kitchen totally unusable for us and we ended up eating outside for all meals. In addition, there were only two sets of towels even though we reserved for three people. We did not request an extra set since it was already very late. The value of this hotel is not good. They need to lower the price much more to meet the lower service and lower product quality for this establishment.

the entire second floor REEKS of MOTH BALLS! Can you put anything more toxic. OMG and the elevator is slow so you have to asphyxiate yourself in your sweatshirt while waiting. The decades of caked up black stuff in the bathrooms. Please OMG Vomit. Nasty. On a positive note, the girl at the front staff was lovely.

The lady checking us in was friendly, super nice, and helpful, but the facility itself was awful. The room was small, the refrigerator had rust all over it, the bathroom cabinet was tiny, and there were no updates such as USB charging ports. I would not stay there again.

This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at in my entire life. The bed felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes. The base of the outside of the bathtub was dirty. The tv dId not work. The refrigerator was old and rusty although I did not use it. It was the only hotel that had available rooms in Tuscaloosa, otherwise I would have not booked here. I would have been better of sleeping in my car

Arrived right around 10:30pm to find front desk “closed.” The desk agent heard me and rolled up the wooden divider. She was pleasant, checked me in then informed me how to get in touch with her after hours, (what?!!!) and to “slide the key” under the wood partition if I wanted to check out before they opened. The front desk was closed until 10am on Sunday. The room had a phone, but was not attached to the wall (I would have had to use the lobby phone to contact the desk agent); the room smelled of mildew and the refrigerator was visibly rusty. The entire room hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time and there was a dead bug under the bed. There was little to absorbs the noise from the room upstairs or even lessen the nose from the cars right outside the window. There was no WiFi, no breakfast or food options to purchase. Bed was barely comfortable, the sheets showed signs of wear. The pillows were not comfortable. Stay somewhere else!

The fact that nobody even said a word to us.
Asking for something or a question was uncomfortable as the staff was very rude.
Only nice one was the Black Dude washing the windows & the walls on the elevator.

The check in lady was great and the AC worked well. Could not get extra towels. Highway noise was very loud. Bed was smaller than expected. The keycard locks were temperamental, difficult to open. The places were advertised as having a kitchen but there were no amenities or cookware in room to use, not even a coffee machine.

Bella Riva 508 is a very comfortable and accommodating property! Three king beds and a bunk room was plenty of space for 3 couples. The furniture is comfortable both inside and on the beach front balcony. Great kitchen with all you need to prep a meal! Enjoyed working with owners! Very responsive and easy to work with! Look forward to our next visit!

Third World Vibes.

This place was $319 a night on an Alabama game day night. The person working the desk was rude when we got in at 10:30 or so. We put her out making her work it seems. It was pretty nasty. The bed squeaked. The refrigerator compressor made a loud noise all night. You can hear people through the walls. Smelled strong like cigarettes and weed. You can hear people outside. The floor was dirty. There was no shampoo. There was a paper sack with a goody bag that had old Halloween candy in it. Very sad situation if you have to stay there.

This property is over priced a doesn't offer pot's or pan's during your stay there is an additional charge for them and $2.00 for clean towels while you stay. There is no daily house keeping or cleaning being done usless you stay 14 days or more... Rooms walls dirty bathroom dirty bedside tables dirty refrigerator dirty sink stove and microwave dirty tub dirty base borads dirty. When guest check out room should be clean with great detail.

I had to lay a layer of bug spray down. There are roaches here. After I finally got to sleep after making it safe for us, I woke up to 3 roaches dead from me spraying the boarders of the room. The hallways from the entrance smell of weed and cigarette. The hallway of the first floor had cigarette smoke coming from one doorway. Please wear shower shoes before getting in the shower. There's mold and hair left in there. Clean the shower before you take a shower. I can go on about how bad this place is. I'm not just saying this. It's just that bad.

This hotel is intended for people who are in need of living quarters for weeks or months. It was graduation weekend in Tuscaloosa so everyplace else was booked or $350 a night. I was grateful to be able to stay here to avoid sleeping in my car. The front desk is open from 3pm-10pm. The desk staff were courteous.

Would not stay here

We rented 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds in each. The beds were actually full size and very uncomfortable. We specifically rented extended stay so that we had the kitchens. One location had not received kitchen sets to rent out. The other location we didn’t even try. Our last location in Alabama had a hole in the bathroom door and a nasty greasy looking handprint on the wall on the inside of the bathroom behind the door.

Room looks nothing like the picture . Bed was a spring board and cheap mattress horrible . They got roaches and the stench of weed and smoke throughout the entire hotel . And like that wasn’t enough the a/c wouldn’t cool off the room kept it on 60 the entire time I was there and never got it comfortable much less cool and the hot water didn’t work which I figured out the knob was installed backwards so it got hit when on cold setting . Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at wouldn’t recommend to anyone not even as a joke to be mean it’s that bad ….

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in in Tuscaloosa. I booked for a smoking room online when I got to the hotel the front desk attendant said there were no longer any smoking rooms available AFTER booking a smoking room online. I gets up to my room as soon as I turn the light on I see a roach. I didn’t even get to put my things down , as I turned and looked around there were roaches everywhere. All in the sink, all over the floor, all over the walls. I was too scared to even check the sheets after that! I was completely disgusted. I left the room, immediately called hotels.com to discuss my refund I tells the lady at the front desk the reason I want my refund because there are roaches everywhere and she’s not even surprised! Then the lady at the front desk calls the manager for instructions on how to process the refund and she goes “the guest is complaining about the roaches” ???? It’s like they know the hotel has roaches and it doesn’t bother them one bit! I’m sure this isn’t their first time getting this complaint. Pictures online are truly a scam. This hotel is nasty and disgusting! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Room was filthy. Bugs on the floor. Looking like part of the floor in the kitchen was caving in. Microwave door was broken and won’t completely so the light would not turn off without unplugging it. Shower had zero water pressure making taking a shower impossible. Door on the cabinet was completely missing. Bed had stains and smelt moldy.

Did not enjoy my stay. The front office had a difficult time navigating there system to check in guest. When asked about our room we were given short answers with no explanation other than “system is new”. Our room had an old refrigerator covered in rust. No coffee pot anywhere in the building or room! The parking lot was littered with trash. My guess is you get what you paid for. At least have coffee! I do not recommend this hotel.

We stayed at woodsprings Tuscaloosa after a night football game so that we didn’t have to drive 2 hours home. We decided next time, we’ll drive the 2 hours.
The hallways smell of smoke.
The Formica counter top in the bathroom is peeling off.
It’s just old and yucky.

It reaked so much of cigarettes. It wasn’t even clean. I had to wait 15 before someone came up check us in. And then the sheets had a large dry white stain. I have kids ages 10 months and 4. This is definitely not ok. The cards stopped working to go in the room the next day. Again had to call a 1-800 number to get someone to go to the front desk and wait another 10-15 mins. To check out you put the cards in a box. I would not stay here again. It looked great outside but once inside was a no go. Also there was lots of men drinking alcohol outside with loud music.

Property and room were god awful. Staff was so nice that we felt guilty complaining but couldn’t stay there another night. If it wasn’t midnight we wouldn’t have stayed at all. The property was not well maintained. The covering to the air conditioner fell off the unit and crashed onto the floor in the middle of the night. Scared the heck out of me! Remote didn't work. I paid for premium internet for 2 days, got it on my 2nd day. The hotel had a bad smell.

We arrived fairly late for our overnight stay but the property appears to be like the images on line. However it’s not. The door wouldn’t lock completely so we had to use a chair in front of it. The window was also stuck open. It was very uncomfortable considering how cold it was that evening. There was also an assortment of lady bugs collected around the bathroom fixtures.

There was ROACHES in the first room we were given. They gave us different rooms and their were fleas all in our bed. We were eaten up when we got up the next morning. We got non smoking rooms and our room reeked of cigarette smoke even though we requested non smoking rooms due to breathing issues.

The worst stay I have had in years.

Where do I begin? The outward appearance was very nice but very misleading comparied to the conditions. We kill too many roaches in our room and bathroom to count. The bed was as hard as the floor. We also encounter ants that were everywhere as well. I would never recommend this place. I would recommend it gets shutdown due to the roaches and ants infestation. After reading the reviews post stay, this seems to be an ongoing problem at this place. You all need to fix theses health safety issues, or a guest with the authority to shut this place down due to apparent unresolved issues checks in. You never know who checks in your establishment with that type of authority. That's why it would be in the best interest of the establishment to always exhibit top notch cleanliness at all times.

Never seen a person to do housekeeping in the seven days we stayed there. Roaches greeted us more than the cleaning crew, never got clean towels, or another roll of tissue. When called to the front desk, no one ever answered the phone. There were fleas in the bed, we never had a dog with us. We had to literally shake the mattress before getting in it to sleep.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, roaches sprinting across the room soon as you turn the lights on, Horrible hotel, we were even given 2 more rooms due to the condition of our first room, unfortunately no luck in one of the new rooms, more roaches, filthy bathroom, my cousin slept in the car, I opted to sleep for 3hrs in my hoodie With the hood on and tied tight, I would love to request a refund for my 3-4hour stay in this roach motel.

Ok, but...

This was my first time staying at this location. Overall, everything was ok. My only issue was, i had no shower curtain in my room AND i saw 2 small roaches... this being an extended stay type of hotel, I would expect around the clock extermination and maintenance. I was also baffled that this location, being a location where people tend to stay for extending periods of time, doesn't offer toiletries other than soap, shampoo/conditioner.
But, yes I'd come back to this location. There wasn't anything that would've kept me away.

I counted atleast 3 roaches in my room...3 and they were babies and teenagers.... meaning they have parents....can u say infestation.... There was a cardboard box with cheap linen on top... The young lady at the front desk was stellar and only saving grace about this property. Room had cockroaches and bed was broken. TV needs to be upgraded. No amenities in room - soap etc., as a frequent business traveler this was simply a poor choice of property.

arrived 20 minutes before check in, after hours of travel and driving and the receptionist was rude and would not accommodate us for early check in, told me to look at the sign that says 'check in at 3pm'. The hotel is mainly long-term living so there are little to no amenities and it was like staying at a low end apartment complex!!! NOT HAPPY

No toiletries. Floor dirty. It was fine for a one night stay to rest our head before the game the next day. I would not want to stay long term. The staff was super kind. The room was sub-standard though...

Ehhh

I’ve been here 2.5 weeks. Zero housekeeping so far. Fairly clean. I haven’t found any bugs in my room but I’ve heard different from others here now. better than the alternatives at a similar rate of $45/night

Stay away.

Never ever stay in this hotel. Stay away.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Stinky smell through out
the corridors, smoked rooms and noisy elevator.
We booked it as it was cheap but we had to leave early due to horrible conditions.
