Beautiful resort , everything was perfect . A lot of things to do with kids . Amazing views , food and activities . The only thing that we didn’t like at all was that our flight was at 12:30pm , airport was at 45 to 1 hour distance and they schedule our pick up ( with no other option ) at 7:00am , my kids could a had breakfast cause everything opens at 7 . We were at the airport for 4 hours because of that .

I booked 2 queen beds and I got only 1 king size bed and sofa and they told me it’s Expedia fault.
They try to convince me to get a membership with them and to book vacations only with them because Expedia charges me much over.

The property is amazingly beautiful, clean and HUGE! Be ready to walk. The walk is beautiful every where you go so you don’t feel like you are getting in 5 miles a day but I did! The food is good comparable to other places I have stayed in Mexico. The inclusion of ALL parks is the draw and you will want to do them all. I suggest you prioritize according to your group as the Xenotes is a little more demanding especially if you are traveling with smaller children or Grandparents. Xel-Há is for everyone and you can do as much or as little as you want there. The food there was excellent and easy to get in and out. Be sure to take advantage of the Xelfies on all of the properties. I wish I had done more as the package you can purchase at the end of your stay is very reasonable. We had an amazing vacation there and I would go back.

The room service was not good. We found ourselves calling multiple times a day to get anything sent to the room, including water, which took 2 days to replenish.
Also, we were a group of about 50 people on a wedding event and about 10-15 people got a terrible food poisoning, cuasing vomiting and diarrhea. When asked the Hotel about it, they found it normal saying the food was different from what Americans are used to, and that was the reason, but that is complete nonsense when you consider the number of people that got sick. We believe the water caused it.
Overall the hotel is very nice and the access to the parks is nice perk, but considering the price we had to pay for this hotel, I don't think we would come back ever again.

As soon as you get to the property you will get a person talk to you about \" the 90 minutes talk\" if you say yes they will become your concierge. IF YOU SAY NO!!! YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN!!! we tried to get reservations for the restaurant only to be told that they had a problem with the system and cannot book anything!! Everything is blocked!!!! They will tell you to come back the next day.... the coconut that you see in the picture are not free. LAS CUEVAS restaurant is not open. Its a beautiful place for pictures.

The hotel would say that it is almost perfect, excellent food and beautiful facilities. The staff is first class. The only thing I can say about the negative hotel is that it doesn't have much to do as a family and let me explain, we are a married couple with only one daughter and the places for teenagers are only for teenagers and there is nothing in the hotel to be able to spend the night as a family entertained with our daughter. They should have more areas where you can spend time with your family, for example some game room or bowling area or some escape room would be ideal to spend the nights with the family as well as having televisions in the lobby area they only had televisions in the sport bar and one is not always in the mood to be in places with a lot of noise. Everything else is perfect.

Nuestra estadía en Hotel Xcaret fue espectacular. Todo incluido de primer nivel, excelente comida, instalaciones impecables, transporte muy bien organizado y un servicio excepcional por parte de todo el personal. Las habitaciones son cómodas, limpias y con vistas impresionantes. Los parques y actividades incluidas hacen que la experiencia sea única para toda la familia.
Como único comentario de mejora, en el área del Kids Club \"Chiquillos\" sería conveniente revisar y reparar el techo de guano, ya que observamos algunos orificios que podrían requerir mantenimiento.
Fuera de ese pequeño detalle, todo fue excelente. Sin duda regresaremos y lo recomendamos ampliamente para familias que buscan unas vacaciones inolvidables. 🌴☀️🏖️

Staff were wonderful and everyone is very friendly. My biggest issue is their lack of care when asking about food allergies. They ask when seating you but have no care whatsoever when taking your order or explaining food options at the buffet. Treat it seriously if you are going to ask.

Another big negative is bottled water in the room. With faucet water being non-drinkable, we asked multiple times for the bottled water to be placed in the room by housekeeping, but it was never done. When we called down to the front desk and it being promised to be brought up right away, it took over 90 minutes every time. Needless to say I will not be going back or recommending Xcaret.

Resort is beautiful although wait times at the buffets were 15-20 min every morning for breakfast, we visited end of May and it was very crowded unfortunately. We ordered room service one night that we never received because they were too busy. Please know there’s no accessible beach on property and no eating allowed around the pools. If you like to order food around the pool while your little ones swim you have to visit a designated pool that it’s usually crowded because it’s the only one were food is allowed. Property is HUGE prepare to do a lot of walking because everything is far. One benefit of staying at Xcaret is the park entrance it’s included on your stay, so if you have a big family it’s convenient because even transportation is included to and from
the parks and airport on your arrival and departure.

Transportation was awful. One from my party slipped on a spilled liquid in lobby. It was reported to Citlalli and they seemed to careless. Wanted to document in case of fracture and they made a call and said no manager was available.

The river jump room pictures listed on the post was no way related to the room I was given. The pictures were for Phase 1 and I was given a room in Phase 2 with a walk down into the river but no way we could have jumped into the river as we thought per our booking. I submitted reservations to numerous restaurants a month prior through the email/form process and every time we went to our reservation, the information was wrong and booked for 2 or 3 people when we were a party of 4. When we attempted to correct this, it was made to seem like we did it wrong, but I had the email confirmation showing the hotel booked me for 4 people at each one and listed it as “confirmed.” The food was the same every single day in the buffets. There was no variety or changes. The slides were open and available but have way to many restrictions to be able to slide down.

This was our first time at this result and we had an amazing time. We stayed for five days and definitely did not see everything at the property. We ate at a different restaurant every night and the food here is not what you would expect from an all-inclusive it is amazing! We are definitely coming back.

The hotel was lovely my problem here is with Expedia. As a platinum member I was given NO reason why I was moved from my original hotel, I feel I was downgraded. Expedia has yet to apologize or explain the reasoning. I was booked in a suite in the family area of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, I was told by Expedia I was in the upgraded adult area, this was not the fact. My original property was a 5 star all adult resort. I HAD to upgrade my stay which cost me $2000 additional dollars to be in the adult upgraded casa at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. Expedia this is unacceptable. If you want an adult resort vacation this property is NOT for you. Expedia should have relocated me to their other 2 all Adult resort locations..

Overall, the stay did not meet expectations for a luxury resort at this price point.

The first room assigned was extremely noisy and did not match the river view category booked. This was only corrected after three nights when we were moved to a higher floor in a different building, which was a much better experience.

Certain floors (especially 3 and 5) function as transit levels between buildings, and hallway noise echoes directly into the rooms. For a resort positioned in this category, the sound insulation and room experience fall short compared to similar luxury hotels.

We were also celebrating my wife’s birthday, which was noted multiple times at check-in, through concierge restaurant reservations, and again at the restaurants themselves. Unfortunately, there was never any acknowledgment, which was disappointing considering the trip was planned around the occasion.

The restaurants were overall just average, with some dining experiences feeling rushed rather than refined.

Another frustration was the lack of clear information throughout the resort. Finding restaurants, activities, schedules, or even understanding what certain areas were often required figuring things out yourself. Many places are not clearly identified from the main walkways, which becomes frustrating at a property this large

Was so excited for this stay and honestly the staff had zero customer service and most were straight up rude. I don’t know if it was because we were Americans or what but that is the sole reason we won’t be coming back. The property itself is absolutely beautiful but extremely huge with no tram or anything similar to get from one side to the other. So it’s hard for elders and small children to walk all day everyday and do the walking at the parks too. Was not prepared for that. We picked an upgraded room when booking and when we got there to check in they advised us that room wasn’t available and they would have to put us in a downgraded room with no refund for the difference. I thought it was extremely distasteful and unacceptable way to handle it. They didn’t apologize or anything just told us it is what it is…. Also you can only book dinner reservations at the concierge desk which they have 15 staff members standing there at all times more than half of them standing around chatting with each other not working and don’t answer the phones when you call from your room to avoid a long walk to the front lobby. When you ask for an kind of directions to get somewhere they act as though you should know and will point in a general direction. Honestly for what we spent I would expect more customer service.

The rooms are beautiful and the property is extraordinary. Great food and helpful staff throughout the property. You will be lost on the property the first few days. We found we didn’t need to put our request list in for restaurants and walked in regardless but came at a slower time.

Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is not being able to see menus before booking/going into the restaurants.. leading to being in a place we had two people out of three not having any food choices and we had to walk away.

We will be returning and recommend it to anyone who it fits within their budget.

I had a great stay at Hotel Xcaret México. The all-inclusive experience is amazing—not just food and drinks, but also access to parks, which makes it very unique. The resort is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Food quality was excellent, though reservations for popular restaurants can be hard to get. Overall, a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure—highly recommend!

The staff were pretty consistently rude for most of the week we were there. When we would ask for food at restaurants where they were serving at buffets they were consistently rude or acted like we were annoying them or like they didn’t want to be there. It was pretty shocking considering what we paid to be there. We wondered if they were treating us that way because we were Mexican-American and not White. No matter the reason, it was not OK. If you’re looking for a beach, this is not the place for you. The beach is very small, most of it is Rocky, and there was lots of sarga while we were there. We most definitely will never return here.

We recently stayed at Xcaret and had a very mixed experience.

The parks themselves are incredible. There is so much to do, and the natural setting makes everything feel unique and immersive. It’s truly an adventure-focused trip, and that part absolutely delivered.

That said, there were a few consistent challenges. The food overall was underwhelming, especially considering the price point. Las Cuevas was a standout and one of the best meals we had, but it was difficult to get reservations. We ended up waiting in line, which worked, but it’s not ideal when you’re planning your days around experiences.

Navigation throughout the parks could also be improved. There weren’t many clear signs, and it was easy to feel unsure of where to go next or worry that you were missing something. In addition, while the staff was kind, there is definitely a language gap at times, which made communication less seamless than expected.

Another downside is that not everything is truly all-inclusive. Some parks and food options are included, but not all, which can be a bit disappointing given the overall cost.

Overall, it was a really fun and memorable trip, especially for the experiences and activities. However, for us, it feels like a one-time destination rather than somewhere we would return to.

Property is beautiful, so many things to do. Service is great food and drinks also great. Is a green facility on a preserved area. My only concern is that from all 20 pools that the facility has no one is climatized or heated. Depending on the time of the year of your visit especially if traveling with small children this might be a n issue. I believe that for the 5star hotel category at least they should provide this service in one or two of the pools to have options. Another downside is even though they have more than 20 restaurants including 2 buffets some of them for dinner required reservations. When we arrived a lot of the reservations were taken. You have to make those in advance prior arrival.

I recently stayed at Xcaret in Riviera Maya and would rate the experience 3 out of 5 stars.
The staff was generally friendly and helpful throughout the stay, with one exception—checkout. Unfortunately, the gentleman assisting us didn’t say a word or ask how our stay was, which felt like a missed opportunity to leave a positive final impression.
The rooms were pretty average, but to be fair, we didn’t spend much time in them beyond resting and sleeping. The real highlight of the trip was the activities. There was plenty to do—cenotes, kayaking, snorkeling, and even seeing exotic animals. Those experiences made the trip memorable.
Food, however, was a bit disappointing. Most of it was very average, and to make matters worse, several restaurants require reservations that we were told need to be made up to six months in advance. We were able to get into Xin Gao due to a cancellation, but unfortunately, the meal didn’t live up to expectations. My pork filet was tough and dry, and the rest of my family’s meals were just okay.
One thing to note—the resort is massive. Bring comfortable walking shoes! That said, I actually enjoyed walking around and exploring the property, so that was a plus.
Overall, we did have a good time thanks to the activities and atmosphere, but there are definitely areas—especially food and reservation access—that could be improved. Give all guests at least 1 reservation everyone deserves that at minimum.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been to. The food is also amazing. That being said, their communication (and Expedia’s) help is very lacking. We tried for a month prior to arriving to make reservations at restaurants were completely ignored. We also tried to get Expedia to help and Expedia was no help either; they just told us to contact the hotel, which was not responsive. We arrived with no reservations for any of the restaurants we wanted and ended up not being able to dine at some of them. For the high price, you would expect a lot more help and attention. I do not think I would use Expedia for this in the future. And I would book months in advance to try to get in contact with the hotel.
