No hot breakfast except for a waffle that you made yourself there was no meat or proteins there just wasn't what I wanted and it was very inconvenient if you needed an elevator you had to go to the other end of the building and go up and then walk all the way back to the front of building

I had a great time at the Grand Hotel. The place is beautiful with vintage hints but very well kept! The rooms are spacious very clean and mine had a jetted tub. My room was directly outside the indoor pool which was super cute and convenient . The restaurant and bar was amazing! Great food and drinks and all the staff were very nice

Staff at check in late in evening was GREAT. Hotel looks \"tired\" understandably. Hot tub not working....Lovely picture of water features not operating. Rooms were a long walk. Water on shower tap was leaking...lining of curtains were torn/worn. Rooms were contemporary and clean. Breakfast was amazingly clean and fairly good selection. Not eggs or bacon.

We only stayed one night, but it was a very nice and clean hotel. Rooms were comfortable. The pool was a nice temperature. Often times, the indoor pool at other hotels is so cold it isn't fun to be in. The temperature of this pool was perfect and my grandson and husband could enjoy themselves without freezing. A very nice place. We will stay here again if we come back to this area.

Room was ok, but this hotel is very beat up and dated. It was clean enough, but bathroom and carpet pretty bad. Breakfast was very weak, be aware it’s a continental breakfast, not hot. Only toast, hard boiled eggs and yogurt and cereal options. It was fine for an overnight on the road, but don’t expect anything very nice. Lower your expectations.

Over priced. If anyone uses water while you are showering your are either scolded or frozen. Rooms were average. Pool was nice. Grouses nest bar/reastaurant was decent. Me and my wife had the filets. They were cooked well and the salad was amazing. I would recommend staying elsewhere if it is feasible. Overall 3.5 out of 5 for me. Not 8 star either. More along the line of a 7. As it is an average hotel that is pricey.

The rooms need to be updated. The air conditioner was very loud. We ran out of hot water while taking a shower. The lobby was beautiful as well as the ballrooms and restaurant.

After 3 different rooms due to air conditioning and water pressure/temp, we did end up in a room but the water temp of the shower was hot then cold then hot then cold.

We tried this location as an option for a Penn State graduation.

I do not recommend.

The breakfast was limited and not good. Coffee was terrible. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive however cleaning and maintenance staff dressed unprofessionally and overheard the cleaning staff complaining about guests. Location to what I needed was great but otherwise I most likely will not be staying here again.

The website lists amenities that no longer exist such as an arcade, game room and hot tub. It only has one elevator for 200+ rooms. The elevator was not centrally located; we had to walk down several corridors past about 50 rooms while juggling our luggage because there were no luggage carts. The front desk staff had a lousy attitude. More interested in there phone than checking us in or answering questions. Despite complaints from several people, There was smoking and drinking in the pool area. Cans of alcoholic beverages were left poolside within reach of young children. The continental breakfast ran out of milk, juice, meat, yogurt, pastries, and fruit. They started putting the one waffle maker away while there were still people waiting in line to make one. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. I do not recommended this hotel and will be staying elsewhere when in the area.

We arrived later in the evening appx 9pm got our room as i walked into the room it was like a sauna and tv didn't work..The room had a old style turn dial i turned it all the down on the ac function yet still ran hot air blowing like if it was on medium...i went to the desk was informed a switch had to be turned in the ceiling as i walked back maintenance was already there. He couldn't figure it out back to the desk for another room...New room was set at 66 yet temp was 76...it wasnt horrible but seceral guests we talked to said the same. He used the pool for a hour yes was heated but the walk way was soaked making it very slippery...Other than the ac the room was standard. Beds not comfortable but that most hotels. Had breakfast at 830. Scrambled eggs were empty , no muffins no pastry there was some ham and forget the other one was ...Ended up making a waffle in the machine . When we were leaving they were bring more things...They seemed laxed on the breakfast...overall i give it a 3 with having the ac issue and breakfast otherwise hotel was clean , staff was friendly. We ate elsewere because we were traveling

When I arrived, got the room, went in to use the bathroom. Toilet seat was broken and when I looked in the tub, there was hair all over the drain plug chain. Went back to the front desk. Clerk took a long time to get me another room. This was an outside door room which I was not happy about. Had a car parked outside with it's headlights on for over an hour.

Parking lot was full due to the restaurant next door.

Layout is confusing, having to go through the restaurant to get to my room wasnt good either. Could'nt find the pool and I was too tired to care at that point.

The room and sheets and towels really clean and fresh,their hot breakfast was delish,alot to choose from,eggs ham ,home fries Belgin waffles 🧇 juice I think the granola for the yogurt was homemade it was delish.And fresh coffee ☕ is available for free all day also.Nice indoor swimming pool,we have stayed there a few times and will definitely choose it again.

We don’t have the best experience. We got the jetted tub king room. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There were ants on our desk and all through the coffee supply. The tub had to be cleaned before we used it. The shower head wasn’t even tall enough to use, and I’m 5’2”. The check in clear was fine but the check out lady didn’t even apologize for the ants. She just said I’ll have to document that. The hot tub in the pool area wasn’t even filled. We swam in the pool but they had a cleaning robot in which could have been used during pool closed hours. We went down to get some breakfast and the fruit that was out looked like it was 2 weeks old. The waffles had no flavor and my husband’s coffee had about 1 inch of grounds in the bottom of the cup. We checked out early because we were so disgusted. I will not return and I will never recommend anyone to stay.

Breakfast was pretty bad; only two spoonfuls of eggs remained at 8 a.m., and they were cold. Ham was only lukewarm. Vent near top of wall in hotel room was terribly noisy, and all night long, every 30 minutes, something inside the vent banged loudly.

Overall the stay was great. However, the water was not hot it was very lukewarm. A few days after I booked (there were 5 other guests with me) I asked for an adjoining room and go to check in and it wasn't an option even after asking a few days prior. The jacuzzi tub was not functioning and this was one of the main reasons for booking also. Pool was refeshing and warm. Breakfast was very good!

Breakfast area was very crowded and had a long wait for food. Only one staff member attending to the whole breakfast area. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work because the knob to adjust the temperature was broken off. The pool area was very crowded in the evening because of a birthday party. Overall we had a good stay. I would stay again.

The pool area was nice but was very outdated. The hot tub was not in working condition, there was a pool light just sitting up on the edge of the pool. The tv had no power cord and we had coffee but no coffee pot. The hallways had a strong odor of smoke and the elevator was a little sketchy.

Front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming. The second women I spoke to was way more pleasant. Room was okay but the walls are thin, I heard word for word conversations. From 10pm to midnight kids ran around the halls screaming, banging on doors, and tried to get into multiple rooms, including mine. I ended up packing up and leaving at 4am. Miserable stay!

The hotel room was nice and clean. However, there was an issue with young adults knocking on doors and making a ton of noise. After about 2 hours of this nonsense, staff did finally confront the situation but there was no sleep that night and when we left the room in the early morning, there was stuff hanging on the doors(hangers and notes) and paper and coffee creamer pods all over our hallway. That being said, I would try again because it was obnoxious people not the hotel itself

Pool wasn't accessible for me as there were many kids in the pool and they did pool parties to the public on the weekend. The gym only had free wts and one stepper that didn't work properly. Pretty disappointed in the gym and pool issues. for the most part there was friendly staff, but some were rude. Over all I did enjoy my stay here. i would rate it overall a 7/10.

Staff was courteous. Water pressure and temperature was not good in the shower. I informed the desk staff of it on our check out. The room was adjacent to an adjoining room and the noise was quite loud throughout the entire evening and into late night. The main room entry door did not do very well at insulating from noise in the hallway either.

Rooms were very clean, we stayed 2 night, even had room service, which is practically nonexistent in the day and age. They made our beds, gave us fresh towels and amenities!! Staff was very friendly, the bar was great. Only downfall was, the hot tub was not working (and obviously hasn't been for some time!!) Conveniently located, decently priced, would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Also Expedia has it listed that there’s an arcade/game room but they do not have it anymore.

We were kept up most of the night of our stay by young girls running through the hall and knocking on doors. At one point there was a man yelling so load it echoed through the pool room because he was tired of the noise. When we told the front desk nothing was offered.

The location of our room wasn't ideal, we were on the ground floor right behind the lounge/buffet area and we could hear the music playing and people who were in the lounge at night which made sleeping difficult. The breakfast buffet itself was underwhelming, less food options on Friday than on the weekend. I am at least happy that our rooms were clean and that check in and out was easy.

When we initially went to check in we were told our room wasnt ready. The pool was over crowded due to a party, the hot tub was out of service. We reserved a room worh a jacuzzi tub and the water in the room wasn't warm luke warm at best. There were kids running the halls all hours of the night being loud also loud music being played in the middle of the night. In the morning a couple was fighting in the hall and the food was thrown at one if them and all through the hallway..we booked this for our anniversary and was a complete let down.

I was not informed that the hot tub was out of service, that is one of 2 main things we look for in a place to stay.
I also saw on the site that the hotel had a family friendly game/arcade and they do not, they said they have skills machines when i called to ask questions regarding the game room.
My keys worked for the front door but not the door to go out to the pool. I also was told they could not open the pool until 10am because they are vety strict about that rule so the lady at the front desk said we could stay and check out at 12. The pool was late opening up there was 4 families waiting 10 minutes to get in before leaving and then at 11:15 someone from the front desk called and asked what was going on if i was staying another night, i told her we was told we could check out at 12 so she said um ok ill note that.

This property has massive potential. We are locals that look for relaxing nights away. We are a busy couple so finding quiet, relaxing local
Hotels are important to us. My comments were reserved to contacting the property directly, I will not publicize my entire thoughts. Our experience was tainted by poor etiquette from the neighboring room. We liked that our room had a jetted tub. It was clean. The bed was a little lumpy but tolerable. So overall 3/5. 5/5 cleanliness. There were staff moping floors and cleaning even at 10pm. So they care about cleanliness. Breakfast 3/5. Front desk staff told us the wrong breakfast hours so we did not get to participate but it looked delicious. 3/5 staff. Front desk staff at check in was meh. At check out they listened to my concerns and appeared to look into what happened. 2/5 property conditions. It’s an older facility and it shows. But we give this rating because the smell of cigarettes were everywhere and it’s off putting. 4/5 area around the property. It’s okay. Overall I’d probably recommend and I hope to give it a try again.
