Staff was top tier! Super friendly super helpful in all ways! Air conditioning too perfect and cold lol. Breakfast was honestly my favorite! I loveeeed that they had rice as an option! Room was a bit small but I wouldn’t complain, it was just my daughter and I with a king bed with an ocean view, we loved it and had so much fun!

the breakfast was the same every day, for a couple of days it would be ok, but for a few days its just too simple. The pool seemed a lot bigger on pics than in reality, for such a big hotel it was tiny really. same for the breakfast room, rooms and elevators, they are not enough for such a big property. the staff was really courteous, the hotel was clean and well located tough.

People that work there were super nice. We also liked their continental breakfast, which helped us save money on food.
One of the elevators wasn’t functional at all during our 5 day stay there and we had to wait for a while for the elevator. Other than that it was a nice stay.

I came here as a single mom with seven kids ranging from 18 to 7. The breakfast was a huge selling point and amazing. Being downtown and close to the beaches was also wonderful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

This hotel was in a good location,the breakfast buffet was good yet the protein options could be a lot better (it was either turkey sausage, Portuguese sausage or barely cooked bacon ) ,staff was ok ,security wasn’t friendly, parking is a zoo unless you pay $49 per night and you can still end up without a parking spot in the garage.

Good hotel for a cheap stay in Waikiki, it is a bit of a walk from the main things to do like the beach. The walls are thin, I could hear people opening and closing their closets and shutting their door or being in the hallway. There was also a day where my room wasn’t serviced at all and I had to keep calling for towels. All in all, it is an okay place to stay for a cheaper price

Rooms felt kind of small but reminiscent of hotel rooms in Asia. For larger oversized Americans it feels kind of cramp. The beds were comfortable. The buffet was ok but not as good as other holiday inn express in the mainland we have stayed at. But we looked forward to rushing down to get a table each morning before it filled up. The only downsides were that the AC in the room is extremely loud and noisy. If they could get quieter ones it would be perfect. Even though these are old window units the sound seemed to be inside room rather than outside.

This place is best described as a budget motel, similar to a low-cost inn in a less developed neighborhood. The room was extremely small — once the bed was in, there was essentially no remaining space. It felt very cramped and outdated. The air conditioner was positioned in a way that blew directly onto the bed and face, making it uncomfortably cold, and there was a musty smell throughout the room.
The staff appeared friendly, but the service was lacking in basic ways. For example, we were told to go down to the first floor to use the only bottle opener, and when we requested two basic plates, we were given disposable ones, which was quite surprising. In over 15 years of travel and more than 30 hotels, this was the first time I encountered a place that only had one bottle opener for shared use and provided disposable plates.
Breakfast consisted mainly of processed meats such as hot dogs, sausages, and bacon on rotation, so there were no fresh or high-quality protein options available.
The only advantages were its proximity to Waikiki and the ocean view.

Spent a good amount of time while here waiting just for the elevator so etines 20-30min. With our room being separated from our family, and even after being asked at check-in and throughout the stay to change to be together, even after multiple rooms checking out on our floors, there was no accommodation. We were split between different elevators and over 10 floors! The electric plug and air conditioner were broken, and they waited to send a replacement AC until after 10pm. The rooms were closet size with rusty fixtures and dripping facets. I would definitely NOT book this hotel. The parking and \"resort\" fees are crazy, and the pool is laughable as only a bigger than a bathtub!

My king sized bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. Hotel location was excellent, within walking distance to everything in Waikiki and in a very safe lit area for night time meandering. The pools and gaming room were great. I found the air conditioning a bit noisy at times and there were few lifts so it took a while because this was popular accommodation. Staff was super friendly.

The elevator situation was horrible in the morning. We were on the 30th floor, with only 2 elevators working, and sometimes we waited for over 30 minutes before we could get down. I have bad knees and taking the stairs unfortunately was not an option. Other than that, it was amazing, great view, and great location

There is one elevator that is not running and this is a very tall hotel with lots of floors, because it includes breakfast tons of people stay there and so the elevators are busy and there are not enough of them working and so you are left waiting forever to get on the elevator. Also the hot tub was still not working and I wonder if they’re ever planning to fix it, it was chilly when we were there and it was a drag to not have the hot tub although with all of the student groups there it probably would’ve been filled. Lastly the rooms were so tiny, would’ve been fine if there were two of us with three people it felt quite crowded.

The room was cramped. Beware, pictures are likely wide angle. Bathroom very cramped as in nobspace between toliet and shower. Not sure why there was a tub and not just a shower. Room would better for single guest if only one bed.
The AC did not work adequately. Beware of celing fan. It is very low.
Plenty of food at breakfast but it was nothing different than at lesser to equal hotels. The coffee was good and hot, piping hot.

The breakfast was great! It got pretty busy on some days, but they kept working to keep it stocked. They even had people to take your trays after you were done! Front desk people were nice and accommodating too. They went above and beyond to try to get our room next to my kids room. Elevator was always busy, but that's too be expected with a lot of people staying there.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days, and unfortunately, this will be our first and last stay. From the moment we arrived, we had a very negative experience with a front desk employee named Lindsay. Her behavior toward us felt disrespectful and, at times, discriminatory. We were traveling with an oversized van, and the hotel parking garage has a low clearance, so our vehicle could not enter. When we explained this, she simply told us to “change the car,” which is unrealistic when you’ve already rented a vehicle. The next day, we spoke with a manager at the front desk who acknowledged that the situation had not been handled properly. She explained that cars that do not meet parking requirements should be addressed accordingly, and some vehicles were moved that day. However, later that evening, we encountered Lindsay again, and the issue continued. She refused to assist, was very dismissive, and even waved her hand in our face saying she didn’t want to see or talk to us. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a customer service representative. To make matters worse, another guest approached to ask what had happened, and Lindsay openly shared details of our situation without any regard for our privacy. We reported everything to the hotel’s headquarters and were told a report would be filed, but we never received any follow-up. Aside from this, the overall experience did not meet expectations. The rooms are extremely small—comparable to cruise ship cabins—and the breakfast

Room were fine just a bit crowded. The air conditioning had some dust but they were happy to clean it. They are nice with breakfast and we got a surprise if you come to the hotel for a special occasion. It is centralized to waikiki, so you can walk around the area. The staff were the biggest highlight. They welcome you and try their best to help you out. They always have theta cheerful smile and will always have an answer to your questions. Overall, It is a good hotel if you are willing to save up money and if you bring your car, you options to either choose the hotel parking but you can also do outside parking.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel room had some dust, and although housekeeping cleaned every day, the floor was never properly cleaned. The dust and even some cereal that were there from the beginning remained until the end of our stay.

There was no hand wash provided, so we had to request it. Also, every time the neighboring room used their bathroom, we could hear noises coming from our toilet. The staff attempted to fix it once, but the issue continued.

The room was smaller than expected. There were three of us, and it was so tight that we would bump into each other when moving around, so we had to take turns.

The best part was definitely the breakfast buffet. The yogurt, sausages, fruit, oatmeal, and coffee were all great.

The swimming pool was extremely cold, so we couldn’t really use it. It was surprising how cold the pool was despite the hot weather—just something to keep in mind.

The hotel is clean, there is a hot breakfast every morning and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are slightly smaller so if you are looking to just spend your time in Hawaii in the hotel room this place isn’t for you. If you’re on a budget and plan on spending more time outdoors exploring Hawaii and just need a place to rest then this space is perfect! Breakfast is nothing special but includes lots of options and it’s included which is a huge money saver when in Hawaii so you can spend more on excursions and a nice dinner after a day of adventure. Close to the beach, close to food trucks, close to shops. Parking will cost you but from what we saw, it was the cheapest option for parking and your vehicle is safe in the garage. I did the pay per day option and made a couple laps around the area before I pulled a ticket in case there was a free space nearby that was available. Just pay attention to the parking signs if you go that route. The pool is small and can get crowded, the water was very cold for both the pool and jet tub when we were there but it didn’t stop my kiddo from swimming. There is a mini golf course near the pool deck and a ping pong table as well as a game room which we didn’t use but looked like a nice little free family fun. All in all, don’t let the other reviews ruin this cute little option.

We always choose Holiday Inn Express any chance we get, we loved the complementary breakfast! The hot tub sadly was not working, so it was just a 2nd heatless pool. But going to the beach was good enough for us, the location is great for what our trip was for and the property looks nice and its clean. The staff is amazing, will book again when I return to Hawaii

Online pictures are deceiving. Very small room. Common area by the elevator was not vacuumed once the entire stay. Hottub was cold. Pingpong rackets broken. Shower wasnt properly cleaned with visible hair. At check in they gave us a room with people already in there. ( we checked in at 1130pm)
Elevators took forever and most of the time one was down. ( they have 6)

They did eventually accommodate us. Breakfast was decent.
Overall 3.5 hôtel at the most.
