Room was spacious, very clean, modern. Priv bath good. Bed comfy. Location in good spot. A/C worked well. You need to set your temp with front desk, not controlled from inside room. Room had refrigerator, did not work. You could use refrigerator at front desk. Breakfast not on site, 2 min walk away. No lift. The actual short walkway street it is on, maybe a little shady at night, but off a main street, so all good. Front desk staff very nice. 15 min easy walk from main train station Principle. Luggage storage.

This hotel made my worste nightmare a reality. After traveling from the south of Italy we arrived at the hotel at 10:45. There were people sleeping on the streets and not a clean area at all. This was the ONLY time in 3 weeks in Italy we were scared. I had prePAID, booked this hotel for 3 nights. When we arrived at the hotel we were told there were NO ROOMS for us. No text, email NOTHING!!! Although the Genoa had taxis the taxis would not even come to the area. I am still fighting with them to get my money back. If 0 stars were an option it would be it. I SHOULD SAY THE MAN WORKING THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY NICE AND TRIED TO HELP. I would only recommend this place to someone you dont like.

I was impressed with the hotel. Though I was two minded initially due to its reviews from others, my wife and I had a good stay, all considering. I travel often therefore its important to me that the booked hotel is as expected.
The only one thing I will ask is I was advised that if I stayed at the Marina Antico parking I would get 50 % off parking. I paid from 26 Apr 0154hrsto this morning at approximately 0815 hrs - 56 euros. Is that the correct amount? Again just double checking so am aware, as it seemed a little expensive.

This is the worst area to stay in. Absolutely unsafe. And the amenities offered by the property are incorrect, there are no laundry facilities unless you would like to walk down the street and be accosted to buy drugs on your way. Private bathrooms are outside the room which is inconvenient, and streets are awful, noisy and unsafe. As an added bonus, prior to staying here we requested information about parking within the ZTL and were told the local parking complex at Marina Antico would provide day passes and discounted parking, and there was no ZTL pass, and when we asked again at the property, they said they knew nothing about it, so we received a fine.
Bad hotel for tourists all around, and just forget it if you don't speak Italian because you will be treated in a wildly condescending manner, which is quite rich for a hotel such as this.

Great location, clean space!

Overall I had a great experience. The room was clean and it’s in a great location. The front desk staff were very kind and had lots of good recommendations for places to go and where to eat. The hotel is similar to a hostel in that you can get a shared or private bathroom. It felt safe and comfortable and I would recommend for anyone looking for a simple place in a central location.

Located in an area frequented by prostitutes. Initially hard to locate. Hotel is still under refurbishment so holes in walls, dust, bare wires about. No air conditioning. No sink or toilet in the room, but a completely see through, non privacy shower. Grubby private bathroom was severaldoors down and my what was booked for. Once you dodge the hookers, you are close to either the aquarium or piazza Ducale. Not even a one star hotel currently. Would not recommend.

Good basic hotel - dodgy neighbourhood!

I have mixed feelings about our stay at this hotel. The good thing is that it`s in the city centre basically in 10 mins walking distance from everything. The front desk is open 0-24 so there is always someone there if you need anything. The rooms are very basic but clean, altough the shared bathroom could be in better condition. Towels and toiletries are given, the wifi is good. The receptionists speak mostly Italian but also a bit of English and they are friendly. Even though the location is convenient also a bit risky: looks like a very dodgy area of the city with prostitutes, drug addicts, thieves, loud noise and shouting during night. We were asked to leave the keys at the reception when we went anywhere - we were concerned to leave anything valuable in the room but also worried to bring it with ourselves as we didn`t feel safe on the streets (we have witnessed a theft and an ambulance call for an overdosed person...). So in summary, the hotel is good enough for a night but the area is clearly not the safest!

Hotel is in a good location as it only takes a few minutes to get to the centre however the streets surrounding the hotel get very dangerous in the evening, me and my boyfriend feared for our safety majorly and were almost robbed 2 minutes from the hotel. There is also a lot of noise throughout the night making it impossible to sleep as well as there being no ac.

Nice hotel in a not so great part of town

So we didn't realize this when we booked the room, but apparently it's ok for hookers to be on the streets around here...just beware they might be near the entrance outside. The hotel itself is fine. It's too bad the location isn't better.

Checked out after 20 mins. Avoid at all costs!

It took us a long time navigating the back streets to find this hotel and once we did we were met with prostitutes and drug addicts in the surrounding doorways. We did not feel safe one bit. The staff when we checked in did not have much of a clue about the process of checking us in and kept calling us back to take photos of our passports on their phones.
The room was below basic standard, the beds were uncomfortable and unstable and did nothing to make me feel comfortable with staying, not to mention the room smelling of cigarettes even though we were told it was a non-smoking room.. Within 20 minutes I had found that an international chain hotel in the city still had rooms and gladly paid an extortionate amount in order to enjoy my time in Genoa and feel safe in the meantime.

Please, whatever you do, avoid this at all costs and avoid the back streets with your life!

Upon checking out the staff questioned what was wrong with us and told us that the prostitutes and rug addicts were \"nothing to worry about\".

Cheap hotel - and it shows

My taxi driver didn't know where this hotel was - but that was understandable because it is hidden down a series of back streets. I had to ask a local policeman to find it.
The hotel would be OK if it was in a better location. It has a 24/7 reception and my room was a comfortable temperature and my bed was also quite comfortable.
However, the bed had sprung slats - like temporary beds - and on two occasions I fell through it and had to replace the slats. I soon learned that I could lie on the bed but not sit on it.
The room was basic - no fridge or kettle, the TV didn't work, no hot water and some light bulbs were missing. On the plus side, it felt safe in an area of town that wouldn't encourage you to wander the streets at night.

Don't go to Genova Old Town

First this is a hostel, not a hotel. We had to share the bath with 5 rooms.Both beds were broken. Slept on floor first night then they moved us to another room. Location in old town centre is problematic. Area is completely infested with Africans who hang out on the streets, in the tunnels, in the parks, everywhere all night long talking loud yelling fighting singing. they congregate in small alleys and streets intersections in groups such that you have to brush by them to go by. They offer you drugs, and their women stand in doorways whispering if you want a good time don't stay in old city centre, don't go there at night period we won't be back to Genova at all ever

As for one star hotel the hotel wasn't too bad, it could do with a revamp and then they could charge double but seriously it's OK. Main thing it is clean and the front reception are very friendly. The hotel is centrally located in the old town. One thing I must say if you want a quiet room ask for a room in rear of hotel as it can get very noisy. Apparently the area in which the hotel is located has been and still is a red light district for many centuries.

Was issued unit Number 13! I requested a room change, and was given the most difficult time. The room was cold, noisy and stark. The furnishings were old and weathered. It took me 1 1/2 hours to locate this hotel.

helpful staff but wouldn't stay again. there was lots of street noise from room 13 all day and night, like a large window was open with lots of people constantly walking by, also had two ikea like slat beds that squeaked non stop with even the smallest movement. the staff was great and it was only a 4 minute walk to the pier and a laundromat was right around the corner.

The hotel is located within the old city of Genoa. The location is perfect. The hotel is clean, and the service is great. The staff is very helpful indeed. You can get a really nice breakfast [coffee [italian style cappucino/espreso]+yogurt+foccacio+croissant+juice] for 2.5 Euros if you tell them a day early. In the old city, all buildings are separated by narrow alleys, and so is the hotel. As a consequence of this, you don't have much of a view from the window. Also, some may feel a bit unsecure in these alleys at night. However, keep in mind that this is the case for all the hotels in the old town. Hotel Genziano is 2 minutes walk from the port edge of the old city, and is easy to reach. The hotel is also very close to many of the shops in the old city, which attracts many. On the overall it's a very nice place and is very reasonably priced for the value it offers. I highly suggest it.

The hotel is in nice place in the old town Genoa. Everything is in walking distance and it has the old town feel with the small streets. Breakfast is good (fresh coffee, bread, juice and yogurt) and you can book it in there. Service is also good, but no AC. Only complaints are in the neighborhood, if it wasn't a bar nearby to attract the drunken male customers at night or those women sitting and selling themselves just in front of the hotel or Italians driving in the narrow streets during the night, I would love the place.

The hotel is literally opposite the aquarium which was the reason for choosing it. It is quite modest and basic but clean and had everything we needed. The staff at reception were super friendly and very helpful and even offered us breakfast in the morning which was not originally included in the price of the room.

The bed linen was clean and the hotel is close to the old centre of town. It's in a back alley, so it's hard to find but quite well signposted. Staff are friendly, but there's no lift, the walls of my room were stained with what looked like blood and the shower room had no ventilation so it was very damp. Also, there were a lot of prstitutes in the streets surrounding the hotel. I personally didn't feel threatened by them, but other people might. The room was actually quite large and seemed fairly modern, but the TV remote was faulty.

Wer gerne sicher die Stadt erkunden möchte, sollte dieses Hotel nicht buchen. In den Gassen rundum das Hotel, lungern männliche Gestalten ( zum Teil mehrere) herum, dieirgendwelche Substanzen verkaufen möchten. Dieses Treiben um das Hotel geht die ganze Nacht und ohne Ohropax ist an Schlaf nicht zu denken. Am zweiten Tag brach lautstark im Hotel ein Streit aus. Dies war der Punkt, wo wir die Reise vorzeitig abbrachen und ein anderes Hotel gesucht haben. Der Mann an der Rezeption hatte nicht mal gefragt, ob irgendetwas nicht zufriedenstellend war oder warum man vorzeitig das Hotel verlässt. Absolut kein Hotel für Frauen die alleine reisen oder für Familien mit Kinder.

El hotel en sí es muy cómodo, la habitación es amplia, tiene armario, escritorio y mesitas de noche, el baño se encontraba en buenas condiciones y tenía toallas, jabón y secador. Los recepcionistas fueron siempre muy amables y colaboradores, sin embargo, el servicio de guardaequipaje no me pareció seguro porque no había ningún espacio cerrado para albergar el equipaje. Está ubicado cerca del centro histórico por lo que es fácil llegar a lo lugares turísticos y culturales, a pesar de ello, los alrededores del hotel no son muy buenos, hay callejones oscuros y gente con no muy buena pinta. En general me pareció bueno y lo recomiendo.

Stanza a pochissimi metri da dove si stavano effettuando dei lavori, calcinacci per terra, polvere, e confusione notturna sotto la finestra della nostra stanza.

Nel cuore di Genova

Visita a Genova rimanendo nel cuore di questa città in questo albergo nel centro storico con cose belle e brutte tipiche di tutte le grandi città. L`albergo è in pieno centro a un passo da tutte le cose belle della citta`, musei, chiese, panorami, trenini per visitare i luoghi caratteristici, l`acquario, i palazzi bellissimi.

Tanto o hotel como o quarto não se aparecia em nada com as informações prestadas em anuncio, limpeza não foi realizada em nossa estadia somente as toalhas trocadas. A localização do hotel fica em vias de prostituição, creio que isto deveria ser melhor averiguado.

Très déçu vu le tarif. 98 euro la nuit. Très chaud, moustique confinés dans une chambre pour 2 normalement. État de lhotel vetuste. Je ne le conseille à personne. Cartier louche. J'ai eu peur en arrivant.

Situato in zona centrale ma in quartiere popolare, non raggiungibile in macchina. Struttura fatiscente con camere da riammodernare. Il minimo indispensabile per la colazione servita in luogo poco idoneo.

Skittent, ekstremt varmt og dårlig luft på rommet (stinket røyk i gangene), skittent felles bad med vanskelig lås. Hundrevis av rotter i gatene utfor hotellet. Sjekket ut etter første natta!

Vicino all'acquario di Genova ... ma

Ho alloggiato in questo albergo ..per i soldi che ho pagato avrei potuto scegliere qualcosa di diverso .. la strada che ti porta all'albergo non si presenta bene ( prostitute .. odori .. ecc ) la camera dove ho pernottato andrebbe migliorata esteticamente il personale gentilissimo ...

Весьма посредственно. До комнаты нас никто не провожал, дали ключ и отправили на второй этаж. По факту оказалось - этаж третий. На этаж вела узенькая крутая лестница с поворотами. Очень \"весело\" было переть туда свои чемоданы. Хоть отель и находится в центре, но идти нужно до него такими улочками, что либо заблудишься, либо бегом бежишь сквозь толпы темнокожих, стоящих вдоль всей улицы, а еще попадаются девицы красные по стеночками. Нам, двум девушкам, ходить было боязливо, хотя хозяин отеля заверил, что опасности нет. Заказали номер на двоих, указав в пожеланиях, что нужно 2 отдельные кровати. По приезду оказалась одна, да и та не сильно большая. На ломаном английском договорились о переселении в другой номер, за который впоследствии пришлось доплачивать 40 евро. Но зато там была туалетная комната! Вид из окна - в окна напротив. Очень шумно, постоянно гремели какие-то машины, круглосуточно вывозящие мусор с улиц, громкие голоса с улицы.

Из плюсов - нам всегда давали горячую воду в кувшине, когда мы желали попить чай у себя в \"камере\" (камера - это номер на их наречии). Позволили зарядить ноутбук на ресепшене, т.к. в номере розетки не под наши разъемы, при чем сначала дали адаптер, куда я смогла вставить вилку, но не смогла вставить адаптер в их розетку))))

Minusy hotelu to przede wszystkim starość. Hotel jest stary i wszystko w hotelu łącznie z łazienkami jest stare. Hotel położony w samym centrum, ale w wąskiej uliczce, gdzie po zmroku raczej nie polecam się poruszać. Ogólnie lokalizacja ok, ale stan hotelu pozostawia wiele do życzenia.

Cancellata prenotazione

Hotel situato in centro storico, presenza di prostitute proprio nei pressi dell ingresso e di extracomunitari probabilmente a spacciare. Alla reception ci veniva comunicato che la.stanza aveva il bagno in comune con altra stanza( cosa nn evidenziata in fase di prenotazione). Nel complesso, tutto nn corrispondente alle descrizioni e nn all altezza delle aspettative. Pagato , cancellata e andati via.

Sono molto bravi a fare le foto, ci sembrava una situazione buona.
Alla fine nessun lato positivo, se non la vicinanza col porto antico, ma per il resto nulla di positivo!!!

Hotel pulito e semplice, nel pieno centro storico

La posizione dell'hotel, nel pieno centro storico di Genova, è una caratteristica importante, trovo fuoriluogo le recensioni che si lamentano della prostituzione e del degrado del quartiere, dato che chiunque conosca Genova sa cosa aspettarsi da certe parti del centro storico. L'hotel è pulito, il personale cortese e disponibile, la camera spaziosa e comoda.

Nn è il massimo casinò per le stradine di notte gente che urla.alla sera x tornare in hotel pieno di extracomunitari ke continuano a chiamarti o cper venderti droga o comunque per iniziare zizzagna . L hotel:
Tv a tubo catodico era più il rumore che usciva da dietro ke l audio . Senza telecomando . Le luci interne andava solo quella di un lato su 3 interruttori in bagno finestra ke nn si chiudeva soffitto scrostato . Guanciale per dormire finissimo come nn averlo sciacquone del bagno rumorosissimo.. avevamo prenotato una camera che senza accorgecene era senza bagno cambiata subito con 10 euro di aggiunta ke a parer mio eravamo gli unici in hotel potevano anke evitare e alle 11 ke c’era ceck out ( ribadisco eravamo gli unici , io o girato svariati hotel se n. C’è gente tolto dicono tranquillo quando volete scendete ) quelle delle pulizie hanno iniziato a urlare sono le undici svegli ecc peggio degli zingari al mercato
