Hotel Sun Valley features a free spa, a beauty center, and a disco. Set in Selva di Val Gardena, it is 492 feet from the Ciampinoi ski area and the bus stop to the Seceda and Alpe di Siusi slopes.
Parking is free. The Sun Valley Hotel consists of 2 main buildings connected by a long wine cellar.
All rooms come with a mountain-view balcony, and offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a mini-bar. The hotel's garden is equipped with tables and chairs, and newspapers are available in the lobby.
There is also a games room for children from 2 to 15 years of age, and free guided excursions are organized up to 3 times a week. Open between 15:00 and 19:30, the spa is complete with 3 saunas, Turkish bath, and frigidarium.

Family-owned, the Sun Valley Lodge is the gold standard for warm hospitality, timeless elegance, and service excellence. Upscale modern pairs with traditional cowboy in every impeccable detail of architecture.
The spacious living room, comfortable king bed, and well-designed bathroom made our stay in a king suite special. The piano player at the wood-paneled Duchin Lounge made our celebration dinner fun by playing tunes on request. Amos at the front desk and restaurant staff where we dined (intimate Gretchen’s and Austrian-inspired Konditore) went the extra mile to make our stay unforgettable.
We were thrilled to discover Burns Cowboy Shop in the Village, a two-minute walk from the Lodge. Burns is a family-owned boutique specializing in made in America, custom hand-crafted western boots & hats for women and men. Jake, the store manager, patiently answered our many questions as he thoughtfully designed his and her boots that we would enjoy for many years.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our Sun Valley stay and can’t wait to return.

Food and drinks at lodge was 3 out of 5. We had a mouse in our room and staff frequently forgot orders. This was my third time staying and found this to be off base for how they typically operate. Hopefully in future it’s better.

I would think at a place this nice where people are expecting at least that for what they’re paying for, they would be able to do it. That is the only bad thing I would say.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived at the front of the hotel until check-in. The room was very nice with a fireplace in between the den and bedroom. Beautiful view of the skating ring and mountains in the distance. The lobby was beautifully decorated with ample space and a large fireplace. The bar and food service were superb. Excellent gym. Throughout our stay all staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location to walk the Village and shop.

We showed up to the lodge area because that was the address listed. Upon getting out of the vehicle the two men looked at us and asked if we were in the right place. They had a little paper list and asked our name, they said ohhh you’re in the “inn” like we were dirt. They told us it’s a couple roads down. We went to the inn and the check in guy was a totally rude. Again treated us like trash. I asked a few questions about the restaurant and pool times, he replied rudely. We went to our room which was nice enough. Then back to the lodge for dinner. Dinner at Gretchen’s was great! Michael the server was the first normal and nice human we interacted with. Then my son asked if we could do ice skating so we go out and ask the concierge at the lodge who says she doesn’t do that and doesn’t know the price and gives us wrong directions to the skating area. We eventually find it and it’s too late and no one is there to get skates etc. The next morning at checkout we did finally have a nice lady concierge at the inn. It’s clear they get lots of rich customers and that’s who they prefer over the average customers like us who had been road tripping and hiking which is why we came here. Lesson learned, never again despite the cute town. I don’t enjoy spending my hard earned money to be looked down on.

It would be nice for them to specify if these rooms are at the Inn or Lodge. They are close walking distance, but the lodge has better amenities. It is purely out of convenience because you can still use lodge facility if staying at the Inn. Beautiful area, great pool/hot tub, food is average, and excited to go back when kids are a little older for some fun on the beautiful mountains.

My room was not ready at 4. front desk said someone would call me which never happened. I finally had to leave dinner to inquire about the room and they said it had been ready. Front desk people are not very good. All other staff including transport from airport were excellent!

We will never stay here again. This hotel does not care about customer service, and they are so quick to charge you for ridiculous charges without consulting you. Accusations of damage occurred without discussion or permission to charge. Beware of them charging your card for additional charges.

The Sun Valley Lodge was beautiful. Our room had a nice deck with view of Mt Baldy and the skating rink. The only thing better would have been to see skaters in action or a show but sadly we came after the ice shows ended.

Beautiful grounds and easy access to town by bike or short drive. The rooms in the inn are okay, but nothing exceptional- you are paying for the surrounding grounds, which are lovely and worth it. Vacation however was marred by the surly and shockingly rude check in personnel. She was belligerent and most unpleasant.

Front desk girl was extremely unprofessional. It was painful to hear her speak with guests. Our room was bad. Our window sat in front of a transformer. The room was dark and depressing. Badly laid out. The whole hotel stinks!! The only thing we loved were the property grounds. Beautiful and well manicured. The lodge pool was just ok. Kids everywhere and no where to sit. I asked if an umbrella could be moved (nobody was using it) near my lounge chair because it was scorching hot and they flat out said no. Customer service is awful here. Most likely will not go back.

Inn, at Sun Valley, not the Sun Valley Lodge. There followed a persistent conversation that I had booked into what I expected to be the Lodge, not the older, much lesser quality
Inn. After the manager was contacted, she honored my stay at The Lodge. Apparently this is an ongoing problem through 3rd party booking agencies. I suggest some clarification between Sun Valley Resorts and Hotels.com as to which location is actually being reserved and booked to eliminate this misunderstanding. There is a price difference between the two buildings.

We joined another couple at Sun Valley lodge to celebrate a birthday. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and warm even though it was late April. Dinner was delicious. The historic pictures of actors and the art pieces were interesting. We will definitely stay in this iconic lodge again.

We specifically stayed at the Inn because we like the hot tub. We were told when we checked in that the hot tub was out of commission. They said we were welcome to drive across the property to the lodge & use that hot tub. That was not convenient which is a big bummer. The staff didnt seem to care.

It’s a very busy hotel at first I was very upset esp during registration because I wasn’t checked in at Sun Valley Lodge but Sun Valley Inn. From the Lodge to the Inn the drive was further up the icy road. However, the staff was all friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was busy, too, but the food was delicious, the portion was big. Overall the hotel has good customer service, polite and professional and the restaurant prices was reasonable, servings big and very tasty.
