Nice enough little hotel and the staff were excellent and the location was good. Comfy bed and the only niggles that I had were the ironing board and the TV didn't get a reception but I was only there for a couple of days so no huge problem.

I would definitely consider staying there again the next time I am in Brussels

This hotel is modern and clean. The main issue with our room was that the washroom did not have a door and the shower did not even have a curtain. Since it was just my daughter and I, we made it work.
There was also a strong sewer smell from the shower which was very off putting. We had to cover it with towels to be able to sleep through it.

The hotel is in a historic building that has been much modified to a style that could be \"industrial chic\". In public areas, much pipework is deliberately displayed and some plastered walls taken back to bare brick. The accommodation section is secured by an electronic lock opened by the room key. The room size was sufficient but not spacious so furnishing other than the beds was sparse. This is to be expected in a hotel of the Art Nouveau period, considering that the en suite facilities have taken up some of the original floor-space. The room was well sound-proofed but Place Rouppe is fairly quiet anyway. The air-con will be useful in hot weather. A bonus was the gratis provision in the public area of tea/coffee throughout the day and even after we had checked out. The staff were helpful and we could leave our luggage after checking out so we were not hampered during our last day. We did not try the breakfast. Place Rouppe has several eating places of which Le St.d'Hic, on the other side of Rue Midi at No.5, is traditionally Bruxelloise in atmosphere and menu. Access to the historic centre or Gare Midi is easy on foot, but there is public transport if needed.

The staff were friendly on arrival, tbe check in and checkout were both so easy. The amenities including free coffee in the lounge area and coffee and kettle in the room were bonuses. The hotel itself was very clean. For a small room it did not feel cramped at all! Two things I would add as an improvement-first adding a full length mirror to the room and second adding a hairdryer or at least having to option to borrow onr from the reception. Overall wonderful, clean, quiet and safe stay

Value for money unbeatable Room was everything you needed Quiet Clean well appointed Bed was comfortable bathroom clean worked perfectly TV has easy connection to your mobile apps and free WiFI means you can watch your favourite programming no problem Location is great very central easy walk from Gare centrale and grand place Layout of hotel is a little quirky but once you get used to it it’s no problem Definitely my go to place for Brussels now

The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. It’s in a good location, a ten minute walk from Gare du Midi and five minutes from Grand Place. We didn’t try the breakfast and didn’t need the air conditioning. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very nice! I appreciated that I was able to check in early when I asked them to hold my bag when I arrived. The room was lovely and spotless. It’s easy to walk into the tourist areas but also easy to grab a bus or metro to other places like the midi train station, Parliament, Forest National, or the airport. I hope I can visit again soon and stay here.

Hotel is in great location and does have nice rooms however there are several things that be done to improve guest experience. Used disposable coffee cups were not replenished and used glasses were not cleaned when rooms were cleaned.

Breakfast has restricted choices and the cook could not even make an over easy fried egg (came out burnt). Breakfast service was erratic. Only two staff but it was not busy at all so they should have been able to cope. Waitress did not explain that the breakfast menu only had set options with the only difference between the 3 options provided was whether you got granola or not and type of bread. Additionally ventilation in the open plan kitchen was non existent resulting in the whole area smelling of fried bacon. We paid extra for breakfast .. would have had better options in cafes outside. I would not recommend paying extra for their breakfast as it is really disappointing and the service is lacking. This experience on its own would prevent me from visiting this hotel again.

Hotel is easily to get to from the Eurostar station via tram to Anneessens or a 15 minutes walk.

In the city centre near all the main attractions, shops and museums.

Thoroughly recommended for a short stay in Brussels.

The hotel is rather run down and, judging from the floor plan on the back of the door, they gave me one of the worst rooms, with a window onto an airshaft. They share the airshaft with a noisy family–a man who argues on the phone and a woman who coughs as though she is deathly ill.

The room has Raw plywood furniture. The mattress and pillows were ok, but in general the place is kind of sad.

We really liked the location and design of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and I appreciated the effort to use quality, local ingredients. Rooms were beautifully presented and the hotel was kept immaculate by a friendly team of cleaning staff. Only issue was with the member of staff who was at reception on the day we arrived and following morning, on the three occasions we spoke with him, we were made to feel very unwelcome and almost disliked, ended up questioning whether it was because we didn't speak the language. His behaviour seemed to be very contrary to the friendly, welcoming vibe from all the email correspondence, bit of a shame.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

Stayed for a couple of nights. Check in was quick and easy. Made our way to our room. There were tons of windows that opened which helped with air circulation. We had a nice view over the courtyard in the roundabout. Room was clean and functional. Shower was nice and pressure was good. Bedding was comfortable. Stayed here as part of a stop over for my onward journey to Germany. Very friendly reception staff and free tea and coffe throughout your stay. Hotel is just a 15min walk from Brussels Midi, a 5min walk to Mannekin Pis and a 10min walk to Brussels city centre.

My double bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I even had a a view to the bar across the street where they were playing saxophone - all in all, a great one night experience.

My husband and I needed a place to sleep for our last night in Belgium because we had a flight the next morning. I thought I was booking a spot closer to the main square - but it was a little further away than I expected. Thankfully the walk to and from the hotel was safe, and pleasant. The room was nice - and I loved how we could open the window for some fresh air. We were surprised to have air conditioning, which was wonderful! The shower was great - but difficult to figure out which way to turn the knob for hot water - my husband figured it out. The hair dryer worked great, and the bathroom mirror is heated - must be to keep the mirror from fogging up - totally could feel that heat, though. We had a bottle of wine, and the front desk let us borrow a corkscrew so we could open the wine. All the people we encountered were super helpful.
There was about a 17 minute walk to the train station - wish we would have walked to the central station - since you walk through some worrisome areas to the Midi and the North stations.
I'd likely stay here again. :-)

The hotel is very near tourist attractions & also walking distance to Brussels Central train station. Easy to take an Uber infront of the hotel. It is an old building. The room is small but manageable. We got a view of the street. Water supply in the bathroom is good. The only thing is they don’t have a refrigerator in the room which is really needed with the hot summer heat in Europe.

I recommend this hotel! The location is good and close to the metro stop. I was able to check in early which I appreciated. There is a free espresso machine in the lobby (although no one told me about it). The room was cute with enough storage space for 1 person. The door to the shower didn't really keep the water in.
