This is a very nice small hotel with very nice decoration. The staff is super nice and helpful. The amenities in the room were of high quality. There was a hairdryer which I really appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and the Convention Center. Unfortunately the restaurant was clsoed the day I stayed. I recommend Hotel Gaja.

A very pleasant stay

Only good things to say here. The room was spacious, cozy and clean. The hotel itself was retro and pretty. The stuff was polite and helpful. The hotel is close to the city centre and all that in a very good price. Only thing is that you fan hear lots of planes taking off but it is nothing much. I will definitely book the same hotel next time i visit Poznan.

Good hotel, I like the decor. A little rough around the edges but nothing major. The hotel is next to a nice free zoo/park so be sure to check that out. The room was a good size, no AC but it did have a kettle to use which I always appreciate. Also close to a bus stop for the airport bus which was handy. The area is quiet and has nearby shops. It's an easy walk into town. Overall I enjoyed my trip and I would stay here again

The Hotel is situated opposite the Zoo in a good location. Outside street parking is available however it is charged from Monday to Saturday 8 am till 1800 pay at meter end of the street.
The room suppose to have airconditioning and there was none. No fridge in the room and no kettle in the room.
The bathroom had drainage issues and caused a smell and flooding. And the toilet cistern wasn’t working properly so it was continuing running water.
The restaurant was closed. Service was bare minimum.
The town however is amazing and plenty of good food outlets nearby.

I stayed at the Gaja hotel for two nights.
Nice room, but very uncomfortable bed. The mattress sagged inwards, which made getting in and out of bed very difficult.
In the bathroom there was only a container with hand washing gel next to the sink, and there was no container with shower gel or shampoo in the shower cabin.
I must admit that the room was clean and had a beautiful view.
The restaurant had a very tasty breakfast and dinner, the steak tartare was absolutely delicious.

Cute vintage hotel. Lots of art around. Outstanding breakfast in superb dining area.
On the low side: no fridge in the room. Furniture is old, almost antique, so are the curtains (kind of matching the overall hotel style, but some in a bad condition). Small retrofit would definitely upgrade my rating.

I had to fill out a form with information on vaccination against COVID-19 while I was quartered, and I have not found information about such a form anywhere.

Also, when I was living in, I had to wait a long time for a room to be allocated due to \"lots of exchanges\". After receiving the first room, I was unable to enter it, and there was no one at the reception desk to resolve the matter. I had to wait a long time as there was no employee around the reception. After receiving the new room card, I was informed that if I could not open the room, the cleaning lady would do it. After changing rooms, upon entering the room I found slightly dirty towels and a large hole in the curtain. The bedding, room and bathroom were reasonably clean. Only a few programs of not too good quality were working on the TV. Also in one day, one of the two elevators was occupied twice by dirty sheets / towels and cleaning utensils, which meant that only one elevator was available for use. It was very dark in the corridors and around the elevator. The staircase is a bit narrow and the walls in the rooms are very thin. Also at night, the planes flying over and landing in Poznań were a bit disturbing.

Staff were very friendly. Hotel was clean but tired (well the room I was in on the 5th floor was tired). Breakfast was continental and sufficient (25zt). Public car parking outside the hotel, no payment required between 1800-0800.
Ticket machine about 50m down the street. We just ensured we got a ticket just before 0800 for an hour or so (to cover us for breakfast. The hotel do have minimal car parking at a charge.
It is a short walk (20 mins) from the old square but there are closer restaurants. I would happily stay here again.

Great location and prices. It was warm and quiet place to rest before long flight home. Had some trouble with wifi but if it’s not working in your room, try to log in at the lobby- I had connection after that.

Staff were helpfull and pleasant. It was late when we arrived so nothing open bar reception . Straight to bed then and unfortunately the double bed only had a single bed duvet ?? Turned it sideways but we didn't get a great sleep as cold! Toilet a bit rocky? Duvet I'm sure would not have been a problem if we had arrived a bit earlier. Roy.

Hotel was ok and location was fine. The room was clean and bed was fine. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
We reserved a room for 3 but went up to the room there was only one bed.
The girl at reception was very nice and changed our room to one with a sofa bed as well. There were no sheets or towels for the 3rd person so we had to get those ourselves and make the bed. Not really what you’d expect from a 3 star hotel but it wasn’t the end of the world.
There was a coffee machine but no coffee or tea, there was a bowling alley but it wasn’t open.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms.he price was great but overall there are better options available in Poznan.

The room was small without even a desk to work at. Hardly enough room to walk round the bottom of the bed to the cupboard. No shelf space only hanging space in the cupboard. The sheet was too small for the bed and hence could not tuck in. Only a continental pillow and the foot of the bed had come detached from the side frame. It appeared that the bathroom had recently been renovated but there was still new screeding on the ceilings that had not been sanded down. The flush mechanism for the toilet came off in my hands and I had to refit it. The floor of the shower insert is smooth and it is only a matter of time before someone slips and injures them self. Not sure how that would pass EU certification.

Was here for a weekend and had a nice time. The hotel is neighbours with a park with a zoo in it which is lovely and it is not to close to the main roads. The beds are nice, the size of the room is great and a I had a lovely little balcony looking over the park. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay in this hotel several times in a year. We love this place. Small hotel but very nice, clean and friendly staff. This was our first time we were disappointed. The two single beds had bad mattresses on them that sunk in the middle on both of them. I believe it was room 308. I informed the staff when we checked out. I hope they will replace those mattresses before another guest comes. Very bad rest that night for us. Anyway we will come again, because it is only one bad experience out of many.

The hotel is full of art, beautiful wood work, and extremely kind and helpful staff. Wonderful European boutique hotel. The beds are slightly shorter than is regular for the U.S. context, so if you're very tall, you might not be comfortable. The beds themselves and mattresses are very comfortable. The bathrooms are completely updated and modern in the midst of this beautiful, old-world, artistic hotel. The restaurant is gourmet and can accommodate varying dietary needs. Breakfast is a lovely spread of cheeses, meats, fruits, yoghurts, breads, and cereals. Overall, a wonderful experience! Walking distance to the Poznan world trade conference center, the university, groceries, the local park/zoo, and other sites. An easy tram-ride to the old city, which is otherwise about a 20 minute walk. There is not a business office for guests in the hotel, so bring your own computer. Wireless is provided.

Character and convenience at a budget price.

This place has character, location and excellent value for money. It has an old-world charm, with just about all the things you expect in a modern hotel. It's just a short walk to the town centre or the international fair, there's easy access by public transport, customer service is good, and the price is very modest. Thoroughly recommended.

The rating I have given is based on the cost as well as everything else. There may be more convenient and grand places, but these would be a lot more expansive. I couldn't fault it. One tip though, when getting a cab, make sure you agree a price first, or you are likely to get ripped off.

Conveniently located old-fashioned hotel

Although the furnishings were rather worn, the hotel had both comfort and charm. It is located just across a bridge from the grandiose Prussian-built part of town, is conveniently close to the train station (which adjoins a huge shopping center) and lies only 2 km from the renaissance city square. I walked the whole of the center city in 3 days while visiting many gripping historical museums and absorbing magnificent architecture.

A good week

A very pleasant, inexpensive hotel. My room overlooked the old zoo in Poznan in a quiet neighbourhood. The roads nearby were a bit noisy in the morning (it was a warm summer so the window stayed open). The staff were first class. Don't expect minibar or multi TV channels in the room etc. My only concern that the was no bar available (although one was listed). All in all a good experience.

Our experience was very good. The room was spaciuos, clean and decorated nicely. The decor of the facilty was nicely done with a lot of artwork. The staff was very helpful. The location is conveniently situated 15-20 minutes from the airport by public bus and 15 minute walk to the train station. Outside our window was the zoo park which is mostly a park now and very quite.

Simple yet comfortable and reasonable

A simple hotel with very helpful, friendly, English speaking staff. Very near the train station and several key tram and bus connections. If like me you will be at the Targ (exhibition center), it is only a few hundred meters away. The central square is only a short ride or leisurely walk. Rooms are simple, but comfortable. The buffet breakfast is fine and the restaurant not bad. All this for a very competitive price. This is my second time here and will stay again if visiting Poznan.

On the first look the hotel looks as good standard but there are small details, like the repair crew wasn't well enough paid. The service was good then again the surrounding is not that great, it's located on a side street and there is no view from reception on the street - you get approached by strangers with no reaction from reception.

Great Place To Stay Near The Main Train Station

I was thoroughly happy with my stay at the Hotel Gaja. It is a great place to stay right near the main train station, but for a fraction of the cost of the nearby Sheraton. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no problem with the internet while I was there. It worked perfectly. My only quibble is that when i checked into my room, there was an empty wine bottle and two used glasses when I got there. But otherwise the room was very clean. Whoever was staying in the room before me probably drank the wine after the room had been cleaned. This has happened to me at even five-star hotels before, so I don't blame the Hotel Gaja for it at all. The receptionist apologized for the inconvenience when I brought it to his attention, but it was really no big deal.

Decent hotel, but poor facilities for kids. Young kids are expected to share the bed with their parents. THIS IS NOT MADE CLEAR WHEN BOOKING!

Apart from this have no complaints, clean, comfortable and quiet, next to a very nice park (the old zoo) and only 15 mins walk from the very nice stary rynek town square.

The receptionist couldn't find our room in the system so we were given keys to a random room with two single beds although we booked a double bedroom. The room was small and very hot even though the window was open. There were no towels in the bathroom. My partner found a chewing gum stain on the sheets right next to his pillow. The WiFi wasn't working.
We might have been extremely unlucky but I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

We had booked this hotel for three nights. The first day we cancelled the remaining two nights The hotel was just ok. The location was terrible for us, nothing close by in walking distance such as cafés restaurants etc. I had read online it was on the edge of The Old Square,it is about 2.5 km. distance. The television had no signal and there was no Wi fi working in our room or lobby. I therefore could not reach Expedia that we had cancelled until the next day.
We also had to ask for towels none in the room. The room and bathroom were fine and the staff friendly .

We have arrived to the hotel early but they let us leave our stuff at the managers office. This was a pleasant start to what has been a series of weirdly disappointing little faults.

The internet speed was great when ethernet used(The ethernet needed to be collected from the office rather than obtained from a drawer).

There was no facilities to boil water which resulted in having to pay 10zl(Equivalent of a good lunch in Poland) for two tea bags with boiled water which made me hugely turned off by the kitchen and swayed towards not using the restaurant facilities which had an open kitchen so you could smell the food being prepared. This can be disappointing when smelling pork being prepared(which smells horribly).

We booked a double or twin room however we didn't get an option to have a double bed so we had to put them together to somehow compromise for this lack of service.

The place is a new starting hotel so you can feel the quietness and the calmness of it all. This was a very good positive.

It is a 20 minute walk from the city centre and you can truly appreciate such luxury when the taxis take longer routes to make their living.

The hotel itself is beautiful. I can't guarantee it enough because the prices are very low for the rooms themselves.
