I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms shown in the photos appeared renovated, modern, and well-maintained, but the actual room was old, outdated, and did not match the pictures at all.

The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable to use, even for an average-sized person. In addition, the internet was not working properly during my stay, which was very inconvenient. To make matters worse, there were plumbing issues, with blocked drains that caused further inconvenience.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is excellent and very convenient for exploring the area.

Overall, this hotel is advertised as a 3-star property, but based on the condition of the rooms and the issues encountered, I would not even rate the room 1 star. The photos are misleading and do not accurately represent the actual condition of the accommodations. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

The staff at Hôtel Elixir were great! All of the staff we encountered spoke fluent English and were very accommodating. The concierge recommended several places for dinner when we arrived and ordered us a large taxi when we left. The hotel is only about four or five blocks from Notre Dame de Paris and the Seine. Excellent Bistros, cafes, bakeries, and shopping surround the hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we’re in Paris.

The room was spacious but it had large dust bunnies under the beds. The room was suppose to have a shower but had a large unsafe tub with a shower nozzle that sprayed water everywhere and no shower curtain. The top of the counter was pulling apart from the base and the calking was back with black mold. The little fridge didn't work.(i had to ask twice to have it fixed, then it still didn't cool very much when turn all the way up) There was no one to help with our bags. The site pictures made it look like a nice place to stay. But the Hotel was nothing like it's pictures. We chose not to eat breakfast there because of the lack of cleanliness of the Hotel. The first hostess was rude. The night clerk did a wonderful job at setting up a trust worthy ride to the Airport.

The Good:
The location of this hotel is absolutely unbeatable, and the housekeeping staff was amazing every single day. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
The Bad:
The Smell: We stayed for 3 nights right after a game day, and the entrance smelled heavily of pee for all 3 days. No one did anything about it, and walking through it was horrible.
The Rooms: Incredibly small. There was barely enough room for two adults to stand together. The bed was also the hardest bed I have ever slept on in my life.
The Amenities: The towels are ridiculously small. If you are larger than a clothing size 4, a single towel will not even cover you.
The Elevator: Extremely small and painfully slow. It can only fit two adults and a small stroller, meaning we had to wait an extra 10 minutes just to get our luggage up.
Final Verdict:
Traveling with a 15-month-old baby is hard enough, but this hotel made it much more difficult. This feels like a 120€–150€ hotel, not a 300€/night property. Do yourself a favor: book a different hotel in this exact area, but skip this one. Honestly not worth the price.

Excellent location: walking distance to Notre Dame, The Louvre, Ste Chapelle. Very close to shops, cafes and restaurants of different cuisines. Couple of blocks to River Seine & the Metro. Staff was helpful & accommodating (stored our luggage while we went to Lourdes for a day). Bed & pillows were soft & comfortable. Coffee, tea, hot water pot in the room & the toiletries of wonderful scent. The room & bathroom were a a bit tight for hubby & me, not a deal breaker as understandably real estate in Paris is expensive. The location was more important for us; very convenient to most all.

The gentleman that checked us in when we arrived he was nice and helpful. Everyone else was RUDE. The hotel has a terrible smell of sewage. The room smell like sewage also .the lighting in the hallway was supposed to be on a motion detector, that did not work . It was the scariest thing !imagine standing in a unfamiliar dark hallway. The rooms were duty the bathroom was dirty with mold in the shower the hand held device in the shower was broken! It was the most uncomfortable and scary experience. The following morning I went to ask reception a question(older Caucasian women) about where is a rubbish bin. She looked at me and said” I don’t know and my bin is only for paper “terrible customer service

The room was quite dark with dark colours even though we paid extra for a balcony it wasnt worth it. The bathroom had a strange smell from the drains. The cleaner left her key in the room with the door wide open and had gone home! When we said to reveption staff that our items had been left for anyone to take with the door wide open they just said dont worry! Nothing else.

We completed a pre registration form and they asked if we were celebrating something. We said yes and then the hotel did nothing anyway so it was pointless.

Hotel Elixir is a small but comfortable hotel, ideal for travelers looking for a convenient location in Paris. There are many dining options within walking distance, which makes it very easy to find places to eat at any time of day.

The staff is attentive and helpful, and the hotel is located close to a train station, making transportation around the city very convenient. Taxis and ride-share services like Uber are also easily accessible nearby. Overall, it’s a practical and pleasant place to stay.

The room stunk like sewage. We advised the staff that said they would try to fix the drain but it was apparent that this was an ongoing non-fixable issue. It was like sleeping inside a dirty toilet bowl. They should have never rented out that room, let alone at its very expensive rate! This hotel should be banned from Expedia.

The staff members were extremely helpful with what places to see and where to visit. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety. Sadly, there wasn’t always scrambled eggs for us to eat. Only 2 mornings on 4 and we liked to fully nourish ourselves before leaving for the day so we could make it to an early supper. Overall though, great experience. We will recommend the hotel and would go back if going to Paris again.

During the week we stayed there, we saw at least 7 different people manning the one-man front desk. One was friendly and helpful. The others hardly spoke a word.

The room was spacious and clean enough. The shower was strange, with only a handheld sprayer and no shower curtain. The elevator was tiny and SLOW.

That said, you cannot beat the location. An easy walk from the Seine, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and multiple metro stations to get you anywhere else you want to go. I would absolutely stay here again.

Just stayed here recently and wanted to be at a hotel that was in the vicinity of the Louvre, had good restaurant options, and was able to handle a family of four comfortably. We ended up with an adjoining room type situation that worked well for us. The restaurants in the vicinity were great, and it was very close to shopping areas as well. The train station is a three-minute walk and is also very convenient.
The term \"buffet-breakfast\" should not be taken seriously as there were just breads, jams and a couple of fruit options. We ended up going to a local restaurant (Café Benjamin) for breakfast. The space itself was very clean and the front desk staff was helpful and hospitable.

A Perfect Parisian Gem!

We had an incredible stay at Hôtel Elixir — a true hidden gem in the heart of Paris. The location couldn’t have been more perfect: just a short walk to the Seine, with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Tucked in a charming area, it was also steps from the metro, making it so easy to explore every corner of the city.

The hotel itself is a lovely boutique property — cozy, clean, and full of Parisian charm. What truly set it apart, though, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay special.

If you’re looking for a centrally located, intimate, and memorable place to stay in Paris, I cannot recommend Hôtel Elixir enough. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation!

I had an awful experience at this hotel. The bathroom had visible mold, and the room was covered in dust—clearly not cleaned properly. The entire place smelled terrible, like mildew and old smoke. On top of that, there was no proper standing shower, just a poorly designed setup that made it almost impossible to shower comfortably. Definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was very impressed upon arrival with service, cleanliness and room amenities. There were four people in our family and I was happy to have a pretty cool convertible couch to bunk bed option available. However, after my first night I woke up to bed bugs! My amazing trip to Paris was ruined after being bitten all over my body. That same morning I brought a bed bug down to reception and she did not seem very surprised. She said she would do her best to get us into a new room. Upon arrival after exploring for the day we were provided with a new room. We had to pack all our things and we were placed in a smaller room and a pull out couch for the kids. Sleepless nights for me from itching and constantly checking for bed bugs for the rest of our stay. New room had a lot of mold in the bathroom and we could not adjust the heat, so we were sweating every night. Our room door handle constantly fell off on the outer side every time we pulled to close! Very disappointed with this property. Wouldn’t recommend. Looks were very deceiving. Hoping I don’t bring any bedbugs home! Also- worth mentioning that we were placed right below our old room and it was definitely made available to others upon our switch. So horrible! Now to return home to wash/throw away personal items and embarrassed on Easter weekend covered in bites. I need a full refund for this horrible experience for my family.

Overall this is a great hotel for the price. Hotels in Paris are very expensive, so if you’re looking for a decent and affordable option, I would recommend this hotel. It’s nothing fancy and very small, but it’s in a great location, just steps away from the Louvre and the seine.

Some cons:

The bathroom had stuff all over the walls and the soap they provide inside of the shower was empty. The door to the bathroom and the glass window in the shower is pretty much see through and there’s no lock, so whoever is sitting in the room while you’re showering can see you through the glass. Also, they turned off the ac in the main lobby, which then turned off the ac to the whole building. The wifi is also very bad.

All in all it’s a great hotel, just don’t expect luxury.

If you are an American looking for a big clean room, this is not the hotel.
The “double delux room” was barely able to fit two people and luggage. The floor was dirty, and instead of a queen bed it was two twins pushed together. Then room was dark and a bit outdated and dirty. There was someone’s left breast milk bag in the fridge. However, the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect!!!

The major issue was no shower curtains in this hotel. It was just the tub. No protection. So getting a shower is a nightmare. When asked from the manager he said it’s the design. However, if you want to have a shower, do not book this hotel. Bathrooms were in bad condition due to this issue. Water all over the floor if you even attempt to take a bath or shower.

Hotel Elixir is ideal for exploring Paris and Its location is excellent for traveling from the airport : it literally takes 2 minutes to reach the hotel from the RER B, exit 14. The staff is also very kind, giving us the room much earlier than check-in time if the room is available. That is a real bonus after traveling all night. The room is small like they all are in Paris but nicely put together. I would go back there anytime.

I really don’t understand the positive reviews for this hotel.. one of the worst hotels I’ve been to at this price point. We got so catfished by the hotel’s photos! Where to start…

- This was the MOST uncomfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced. Topped with extremely cheap, itchy bedding. Barely slept.

- The construction right outside the doors starts at 7:30AM (we were not made aware by staff)

- Rooms are not cleaned very well (dust all over under the furniture, children’s stickers found on the mattress under the sheets when we were checking for bed bugs)

- The shower is simply a handle and there is no shower door. Water gets everywhere. The tub drains SO slowly that it almost fully filled up by the time one of us had showered. The tiles in the shower looked like they were done by an amateur.

- You hear every conversation of the guests in the rooms beside you, and every footstep of the guests above you

The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location, but I would recommend staying elsewhere and taking the metro. I could only recommend this hotel in good conscience if it was 1/3 of the price we paid. I actually got sad whenever we had to go back for the night

Great location

The location is excellent and close to tube station. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but okay. They are freezing cold though and the heating did not have any affect on the room temperature unfortunately. The breakfast is not worth the money.

Good location, poor service.

The room was ok although not very soundproof.

The location is great.
I left early morning (just before 5am) and was startled by an employee sleeping in the lobby's sofa when I came downstairs to leave. Unfortunately, this tainted my entire experience at this hotel as I believe it is completely unacceptable behavior from an employee (they had a pillow and blanket and all the lights were shut off as if this was a routine accommodation for them)

We like Mr Laurent very much because he is a very kind, sweet and considerate person. He was very helpful in explaining to us how to get to the RER metro station in order to buy tickets to Chateau de Versailles. Even to the extend of getting us a taxi to Pullman Hotel, he contact the taxi driver who was very kind and gentleman too. The only setback about this property is the shower. The shower could be replaced with a better shower system, no need bathtub. It's not convenient to shower in bathtub.

Cannot rave enough about this hotel. Staff are wonderful, room was wonderful, breakfast was great, and LOCATION! 5 min walk to Samaritaine and 10 minute walk to Le Louvre!
