The hotel is nice. There is no formal parking lot, but there are free parking spaces in the front and on the side of hotel. It only takes about 10 min to walk to the town center.

A disappointing experience

A relatively modern hotel in a great location (walkable to the city 10-15 with street parking outside.) My room however was disappointing. The bed was lying on a plank of wood, one pillow, air con ineffectual and the TV didn’t seem to work - despite following the instructions. All in all disappointing and would not recommend.

Beautiful hotel within easy walking distance to everything you want to see and do in Pecs. We had a lovely corner room with large windows on two sides. Every thing was very fresh and clean and modern. Very comfortable beds. Lounge and restaurant were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Short taxi ride from train station. Highly recommended.

I had a decent sized room which was very clean. There was only 1 English speaking channel on the TV and it would have been nice to have more. Staff were friendly and made sure you were happy, particularly the breakfast team. The hotel was in close proximity to supermarkets, fast food, restaurants and a shopping arcade.

A very nice hotel in the beautiful town of Pécs. The room was clean and large, well equipped. The mattress was a bit hard, in my opinion, but nevertheless I slept well. Breakfast buffet was rich and tasty, and the service was kind and professional. The reception stuff was also very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is 10-12 minutes walk from the main central square, which is an advantage: it's not far, and you don't get all the noise. If you arrive by car, you may park freely around the hotel only on weekends. During the week you must pay by the hour. Ask the reception for a daily card for a nearby parking lot.

Dissappointing

Nice hotel just outside the city centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds however were the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have every tried sleeping on. It was like sleeping on the floor. The breakfast was average. I would rate the hotel more a three star than 4 star establishment.

This did not feel like a four star hotel at all. Rock-hard beds, dated furnishings, everything feels old and tired. One of the most uncomfortable nights of sleep I have ever had.

Pet friendly = Human unfriendly

I really bitten up by pests in this hotel. If you don't know how to manage pest control then you should not have pets in a hotel.

Corso Hotel

Business trip to Pecs found me staying at the Corso hotel. It is within easy walking distance of the historic town center.

The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast,although not as much choice as you'd expect in the Uk, was continental style and good quality.
Excellent restaurant served plentiful good quality food during the evenings.

The reception staff were very helpful in booking a transfer for me to Budapest Airport.

Only gripe is the TV needs more than Bloomberg and CNBC channels in English. Watching business news is not my cup of tea!

Woild I stay there again? Answer is YES!

Nice hotel in a secluded area.

My experience is that the hotel is good but the lightning is the not good as we keep having problems of the lights going off and on not stable power but my Husband mentioned it to the receptionist and he promised to sort out the problem but the problem keep going on and on.

Checked in early plesant girl on reception gave 7 of us two rooms so we could get our bags into which was nice of them as soon as we got home it was straight up bed just a pity it was an early morning start as I would have loved to see more of the hotel and have breakfast if ever in Pécs again this is the place I will come back to lady on reception very nice and well mannered when checking out as well great hotel nothing I could fault at all ver big rooms good WiFi

Good central hotel with nice buffet breakfast

Good basic hotel in great central location. Not all staff on reception speak English - they will get another member of staff who does, if need be. Most staff helpful but no early breakfast service for departures before 7am ( we were departing 6.30am but they couldn't offer any early breakfast facility). They should do this, given it's a 3 hour bus journey from Budapest. Good sized room and comfy bed but bathroom not totally clean. However would recommend as overall a pleasant stay and nice art deco vibe.

Daily breakfast is well prepared with a wide selection of items.
The hotel is easily found in central Pečs next to the main highway #6. The hotel is quiet and has free covered parking in a nearby lot.

A Good choice for a Pecs visit.

Very helpful staff, room was clean but I did not find the bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet and the restaurant were good but the restaurant service is very slow. The hotel is a short walk to the city center which is quite nice with many restaurants, bars and attractions.

For a new hotel we were somewhat off the main path we were disappointed. The decor was nice, the room size was fine but the beds were horribly hard and uncomfortable and the air conditioning was not working properly. Some front desk staff were pleasant, others were rather snooty.

Wifi is free but the signal is very very weak and lost frustrating to use. They did have a computer guests could use upon request which was direct wired to the internet thus it worked much faster.

When booking, Expedia indicated breakfast was included, upon arrival the hotel indicated it was not. This placed us in an uncomfortable position. The front desk ended up saying not to worry to go ahead and dine. We did on 1 of the 2 days we stayed and upon arriving home we learned out credit card had been charged for the meal. The breakfast however was good.

Parking was free but spaces were really limited.

Overall, I would not stay here again. We have stayed in Pecs several times before and there are plenty of nice quaint hotels closer to the main square for more or less the same price and they include a morning breakfast.

New and top modern hotel in Pecs with perfect location close to \"old town\". The price is good and the value for money is high. Well equipped room and bathroom. Excellent service and very friendly staff. My second stay at the hotel and I will absolutely recommend the hotel for people planning to stay in Pecs.

Corso Hotel Pécs - Best venue for tourists.

Situated just a stone-throw away from the famous Kiraly street of Pécs, this hotel is an excellent venue for tourists and people willing to rest, as well as businessman in the city. The staff is courteous and professional. I recommend it.

Best hotel in Pecs by far...

The Corso is the only 'new' hotel in Pecs and it is very well decorated with modern designs throughout. The restaurant is also considered to be one of the most stylish and decent places to eat in the city. It is fairly well located but it is a short walk to the main shops, bars and attractions. The site it is built on will eventually have a shopping mall too but this work has only recently started. There is a McDonalds across the road from the hotel which is handy for people who want to eat on a budget, although the hotel restaurant itself is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in Pecs, although it is probably one of the most expensive. I have stayed at other hotels in Pecs and whilst they were slightly cheaper they were very old fashioned and a little run down.
I think this hotel could pass as a 5 star however it doesn't have a pool or gym etc. Also I think the hotel website doesn't really do it justice.

Corso exceeded my expectations

This hotel is brand new (1 year old) and I would rate it as a very strong 4 star hotel. My only complaint was that the pillows were too big to be comfortable. Free wifi was great, the flat screen TVs were new and the food at the restaurant was very tasty. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The walk to the center of the old town is around 8-10 minutes.

A very contrasting stay for a 4-star establishment.

The Pros:
Excellent responsiveness following a lighting issue (immediate room change) and a much-appreciated commercial gesture (free breakfast offered). The welcome from the female receptionist on the afternoon of the 22nd was excellent.

The Cons:
Mediocre cleanliness: I found a hair on the duvet in the first room. In the second room, the bathtub was dirty with stagnant water residue, which I had to scrub myself before using.

Customer Service (Dec 23rd): The attitude of the male receptionist on duty the morning of my departure was deplorable. I asked for assistance with the luggage storage, but his reception was icy. Despite my greetings and repeated thanks, he remained completely silent and unfriendly. Such a lack of basic courtesy is unacceptable.

Hotel conforme à la description. Accueil correct et chambre satisfaisante. Toutefois les chambres peuvent se révéler bruyantes car peu insonorisées, tout dépend de votre voisin. L'hôtel est plutôt bien situé près du centre et le stationnement n'est pas trop difficile. Bref un séjour qui ne laisse ni un mauvais souvenir ni un souvenir impérissable.
