Room is very small and has a tiny washbasin in the bathroom. No air conditioning and can’t open window because the noise from outside street. It is a motel condition. Feel overpriced. Location is good. 10 minutes drive to Pulpit rock trailhead parking lot.

I was looking for a place that is close to the Pulpit Rock so that I can stay there the night before. This is the perfect hotel for that and more. It is only 13 minutes drive the Pulpit Rock parking lot. When I got to the hotel, the check in was quick and easy. The staff is super friendly. Parking is free. The facility seems to have beenupdated lately. Everything in the room is new. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfortable. I feel very fortunate that I found this hotel and was able to book a room. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who plan to climb the Pulpic Rock or simply visiting the region.

Very disappointed with this stay. The room was extremely small, no place to put your stuff. Tiny sink. TV didn’t work and it was very noisy. The breakfast was really bad as well. Not worth the money! If I pay close to $200, I expect something different, even in Norway! It’s a youth hostel at best.

We srayed at this hotel due to its proxomity to pulpit rock. It is only about 10 minutes away by car.
The service was great, we got upgraded to a better room without even asking. The staff are friendly.
The hotel has an elevator, so it was not a problem getting our luggage to the first floor.
There is a common kitchen on the first floor, with a kettle among other things, but no coffee or tea sachets. It would be nice if they had.
Both the room as well as the hotel were nice and clean. The only exception was the coffee mugs at breakfast. While they are clean, they are also stained which looks unappealing.
Breakfast was good, with more choices of hot dishes than a similar hotel in Norway.

Don’t be fooled by the outside!!

Beautiful from the outside but don’t be fooled!! No main light in the room just two bedside table lights so got ready in the dark every morning! Probably good that there wasn’t a light as I’m not sure how clean it was! Bed made on the first morning but not the second morning! Reported a leak from under the bathroom sink but it wasn’t fixed!! Some cheap shower gel in the bathroom - one empty bottle and one which was sticky and covered in contents of the bottle!! No hand soap or shampoo and wasn’t keen on even touching the shower gel there which meant I had to venture to the supermarket to buy some! Lumpy pillows and the bedsheets had a nasty smell! You could hear every movement in the hotel!! Breakfast not good, coffee drinkable!!
Beautiful view from the room though and a lovely restaurant across the road!

Extremely unhygienic, dead cockroach, smelly washeroom, I wouldn't touch anything in there, it was so dirty I couldn't even touch hair dryer and there was no towels only 2 hand towels. When I complained, front desk staff started arguing!
Old bitten up place, they were hiding fallen wall decoration behind TV.
Not a hotel, it's a B&B. I don't know how they are in business still and why there's no health inspection on them 🙄 absolutely worst

The location was just beautiful overlooking the fjord. The frustration we had was that we had booked the family room which was basically with two connecting rooms. We needed a key to the room in order to operate the electricity. The person at the front desk only gave us one key so our son's in the second room did not have electricity. The amenities in the bathroom were very sparce with little toilet paper and we could not find the plug in the bathroom to plug in the hairdryer. When we went back down to the front desk to ask for some help the front desk did not open up again until the breakfast in the morning. The breakfast however was one of the best we have had on our 3-week trip. Parking was on property and very easy.

I stayed for 3 night's and found it very friendly and comfortable. Good choice for breakfast and location was very nice. The only thing I would recommend would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room so you don't have to go to the dining room or kitchen to make a drink.
Note that there are no evening meals available here, but lovely restaurant opposite the hotel. (Closed Monday's whilst I was there in November)

After a long day of hiking this is a great place to crash. Don’t expect any entertaining in your rooms because our rooms are very small. The rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was updated and a very good size with great water pressure. Breakfast was a surprise with plenty of options for the entire family. The staff was helpful and very courteous. If you are expecting a place with huge rooms and televisions this will not be the place for you. If you’re into a comfortable bed a nice shower and a great breakfast you might consider this as an option.

The rooms are exactly as described and the breakfast is great. However, the hotel maintenance level could be largely improved - half of the lightbulbs in the room were missing (so the room was too dark) and the shower gel container was empty for example. Not what you had expected given the price paid.

lovely quiet location near the Tau Ferry for connection to Stavanger. Grocery shop walking distance. Nice room with hanging wardrobe and shelves. Good size bathroom with shower. Towels sheets changed daily. There is a separate kitchenet on the floor where you can make tea and cofee and use of a micowave.buffet breakfast good variety including bacon and eggs, cerials fresh bread juices. Would recommend.

Comfortable, friendly, delicious restaurant!

We were warmly welcomed to this hotel by a very friendly gentleman who quickly checked us in. Our room was on the third floor which we easily reached using the unique elevator! The room was small but adequate. It was very clean. The bathroom, which had a shower, had a heated floor. We ate at the small restaurant in the hotel. We both had the salmon (there were only 3 choices) and our meals were superb! The topping on the salmon was very flavorful while not overpowering the fish. The potatoes and vegetables were well prepared also. My wife has some dietary issues and the chef accommodated her. The friendly desk clerk was now the friendly waiter and answered our many questions about Norway. The breakfast was typical, with everything fresh and delicious. We definitely recommend this little recently renovated gem of a hotel!

Great stay in delightful Jørpeland

Central location, clean and friendly staff. I stayed in the single room and whilst it was very small, the bathroom was a great size and very clean. Bed was super comfy although there was just a flat sheet on the mattress, no fitted sheet so it was moving during the night. No TV in room (there is a communal TV room) but I wasn’t in my room long enough to mgo as having TV, too much to do outdoors. Staff were accommodating with a few breakfast items before the official breakfast start time when we had to leave very early.

Close to Pulpits Rock

We stayed here to be close to Pulpits Rock so we could get an early start in the morning. The Hotel was run by 2 staff who served us dinner and breakfast which was very nice. They were very friendly and helpful. We needed some assistance with finding a pharmacy and they gave us good advice. We were on the top floor. The lift is interesting. They also had a small kitchen on each floor, but not really suitable for cooking much.

Charming hotel perfect for Pulpit Rock visit

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a basic experience based on price but was blown away by the location and views from my room. The restaurant on site serves lunch and dinner. We had a delicious dinner the night we arrived and the complimentary breakfast was great too. The staff is very friendly and helped us out with tips for our Pulpit rock hike.

The rooms were extremely small, even by European standards. We booked two rooms months in advance and were promised partial water views. One room was below grade and had a view of the dumpster, the other only had a view of the neighboring building. We were told there were no more rooms until we pushed and suddenly one was found. When we reported that neither the wi-fi nor the TV were working, the front desk acted surprised. We were the ones surprised when we learned from other guests that neither had been working for days. The free breakfast was adequate, but paled in comparison to others we had in Norway. The proximity to Pulpit Rock was fantastic, but the lack of any other restaurants in Jorpeland was disappointing.

Meget hyggelig sted hvor rommet inneholdt eksakt det jeg hadde behov for: God seng, skrivebord og bad. Alt var rent og pent. Jeg hadde enkeltrom og størrelsen tilsvarer et enkeltrom. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale ved innsjekk. God og gratis parkering rett utenfor. Dette er et stort pluss. Prisen var meget hyggelig og beliggenheten kjempefin. Litt artig detalj at man fikk en fysisk nøkkel og ikke nøkkelkort. Jeg benyttet dette hotellet da det var fullt i Stavanger, men med en pris som var kr.2000,- lavere enn tilsvarende hoteller i Stavanger sentrum så var det definitivt verdt pengene. Jeg kommer nok heretter til å benytte dette hotellet ved fremtidige jobbreiser til Stavanger. En liten ekstra kjøretur på 25 min. utenfor sentrum eller heller ikke avskrekkende. Butikk rett på baksiden som er åpen til kl.23.

Det var fint rom, men renholdet kunne vært betydeøig bedre. En del støv.
Det verste av alt var den betalte frokosten. Jeg tror aldri jeg har spist frokost på ett hotell med så ekstremt lite utvalg av diverse. En annen ting er at noe av frokost tilbehøret spm syltetøy og litt andre ting var plassert i originale First price emballasje, noe som sier at hotellet ikke bryr srg om kvalitet. Både appelsin juice og eple juice var av MEGET dårlig kvalitet.

Rett og slett så anbefaler jeg ilkke frokosten her.

Og den sky høyre døgn prisen på en overnatting på drtte hotellet er ren utnyttelse og svindel. Står langt ifra sndre hotell med 1 natts pris på nesten 1800kr for ett bitte lote dobbeøt rom som er lax 10kvm.

Hel vurderingen bli at det fornuftige er og holde seg vekke fra dette hotellet.

Buona la sistemazione in camera superior

L'hotel è caratteristico, tuttavia le camere c.d. standard sono veramente piccole: il bagno è minuscolo, con un lavandino quasi inesistente e nessun appoggio (non c'era nemmeno il phon, che ci hanno dato su richiesta) e la camera non ha né armadio né spazio per le valigie, con un solo tavolino senza TV. In seguito alle nostre lamentele, ci hanno spostato in una superior per una notte (visto che la prima notte non era disponibile). La superior è invece una bella camera, spaziosa e confortevole, con un bagno ampio. Un buon voto per la colazione, buona e ben fornita. La posizione ottima per il trekking al Preikestolen.

Det positiva med hotellet var dess läge, vi sov där en natt innan vi skulle till preikstolen och det var bara 15min bilfärd ifrån. Det var även väldigt bekväma sängar, däremot saknade rummet luftkonditionering så det var väldigt varmt och när man öppnade upp fönstret så hördes all trafik utifrån.
Städningen däremot var väldigt dålig vilket märkes i badrummet.
Vi hoppade över frukosten som ingick då vi skulle iväg tidigt men vi fick till oss att det finns ett kök med nödvändig utrustning för att kunna fixa egen mat men köket saknade både koppar/skålar och annat som behövs för att kunna äta. Fanns inte heller någon spis eller kokplatta.

Ingen tv kanaler på tv'en. Ikke et norsktalende menneske å oppdrive. Middag skulle være norske kjøttkaker - retten var tydelig oppvarmet, servert lunken og uten saus.
Det ble på problemer å dele opp betalingen mellom tre reisende
Sengen var god.
Enkeltrom er noe av det minste jeg har bodd på. Det var ikke satt inn (plass til) skrivebord.
