Lilland Brewery is a charming hotel made for people interested in hiking the fjord area or unplugging from the busy tourist scene. I appreciated the quiet town atmosphere. FYI, since being in a remote area, there are limited restaurants and shopping. The staff is warm, informative and inviting. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. If you want the solitude of a mountain inn, Lilland is for you.

We left and pay for another hotel. Nothing to do with the pictures posted. Everything has changed. No restaurant, no beer distillery.
The place is completed different of the pictures online. Not good cleaning, everything looks deteriorated and dirty. I will not recommend this place 👎

Convenient location with a car. GPS gave confusing directions; probably should check with the hotel first. Room was a bit noisy one night- could hear another person.
Staff person on duty (Anna) was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Took awhile to fix a bathroom light that kept blinking, even though I left with my luggage early, they assumed I checked out when i showed back up 2 hours before checkout, other than that, great place, nice helpful staff

The hotel has no reception so is virtual. It was very difficult to get the code from the person that was answering our calls. We never received an email with the instructions to get in and we ask him to gives the code by phone but he refused we were waiting outside the hotel waiting and waiting. Thanks yo Expedia they send us the code after 6 hours of numerous time calling. The hotel is nice, clean and quiet. They had coffe and sandwiches for breakfast.

Off peak season stay

It is off peak season so the hotel/lodge is not stuffed during check in time. Hope the self-check in instructions can be sent one day ahead because accessing internet is not always possible while traveling. And the bagged breakfast is too basic and the quantity is on low side. Overall, the lodge itself is great.

This is perfect for a 1-2 night stop along your vacation. The room was very clean and property was quiet. Absolutely loved that they provided a to-go meal in the morning’s and the beers were delicious. Highly recommend!

Lovely exterior & bar, could have been much cosier

Very clean hotel, but stayed in the annex which was very basic. Cold tiled floor, no rugs or soft furnishings. Lacked any cosiness or features The bar area was also attractive, although it closed early, attractive breakfast room,too, tea, coffee, cereals and bagged up roll, apple and juice available for breakfast, but no extras.

Good base for Preikestolen

Good base for the Preikestolen and even for a visit to Stavanger. Due to covid-19 the restaurant was closed which was a pitty because any other dinner options are very limited close by. But at least they sell the beer and cider from the brewery which was a nice touch and the service was excellent.

Clean tidy rooms and great staff!

Tidy and clean rooms, somewhat dated but comfortable for a nights stay. Staff was very friendly and service-minded. Good selection of beers brewed at the hotel. Great location close to Stavanger and Preikestolen. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Located 3 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. There’s nothing of interest in immediate the area to walk to, and the only food choices are two pretty poor pizza take-away places, a Rema 1000 and a Kiwi. Hotel restaurant was open for breakfast only - buffet style and fine. The main hotel building looks nice, we stayed in one of the disconnected units out the back ... nothing to rave about, clean enough, TV was small and didn’t work well, beds were comfy, very basic. As a base for walking in the hills surrounding Tau, this place fine — we would consider staying here again for 1-2 nights. I suspect the hotel could lose a lot of business when the tunnel opens.

Great place to stay whilst passing through. The staff are very helpful and all speak excellent English. I was given a room initially where a dog was barking next door, so they moved me to another. The room was perfect and the bathroom big and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best I have had for a long time in hotels ... good fresh food and lots of choice :)

Homely hotel and lovely staff

The hotel is not luxurious but has a good feel to it. Lots of comfortable places to sit and chill if you’re wanting a reasonable place to spend the night close to Preikestolen. The rooms are very basic but clean and the beds comfortable. Unfortunately reception only opens at 8am making it tricky to get a really early start for the hike but it ended up being early enough to miss the crowds anyway. Breakfast is theoretically only from 8.30 but a very kind lady told us she would open up for us from 7.30 so we could get our early start. The night was good value for money.

When we got there it was raining.
And we had 2 big luggage to carry to room from parking lot.
Nice gentleman who was working on that day was very gracious to go out to the lot in the rain and brought heavy luggage and carried to our room which was very nice and warm.
We were so impressed about his service.

Stort og fint rom for et kort opphold. Var på jobbreise, og det var derfor veldig hendig med ferdiglaget matpakke(frokost) med godsaker jeg kunne ta med meg på jobb.
Har allerede vært der to tilfeller og er fornøyd med hotellet.

100% selvbetjent. Bitte små rom og frokost består av en allerede pakket brødskive, liten boks med juice og et tørt stykke «kake». Langt i fra mettende frokost. «Baren» de skriver, er et hybelkjøleskap hvor man kan vippse en hundrings for en boks.

We had a pleasant stay at Lilland Hotel, the room was clean and everything we needed was available. It should be clearly communicated that the breakfast is not as shown in the pictures, but just a lunch package with was fine for us, but didn‘t eaqual a good breakfast buffet.
We did not meet any staff or any other hotel guests which was ok for us but for some people it might feel a bit strange to be alone in a hotel.

Enkelt og ok opphold. God størrelse på rom. Negativt var at det var ekstremt lytt på rommene. Frokost var bra, men kunne gjerne vært mulig å få litt mer mat og alternativer. Til info var det ikke bemannet hotell.

Wir haben Schimmel im Zimmer und in Badezimmer.
Die Gardinen sind total fleckig. Das Bett knarzt bei jeder Bewegung-jedoch war dies sauber.
Die Lage ist direkt hinter einem Reifenhof (hätte man gern aus der Beschreibung entnommen)
In der Sommersaison soll die Rezeption besetzt sein. Wir sind um 15 Uhr angereist, niemand hier.
Das Frühstück soll morgens (lt. Website) frisch vom Bäcker kommen, steht aber schon am Tag vorher im Kühlschrank.
Die Portionen sind für eine Erwachsene Person unzureichend.
Für den Preis, nicht zu empfehlen!

This \"Hotel\" lies on an industrial site, there is no brewery, no bar, no personell and not a place to eat in the direct vicinity.
We took our loss and immediately booked a hotel elsewhere for the same nights. If you're on vacation avoid this place. They send you a code to get in, \"breakfast\" is a paperbag in the fridge.
If you arrive on Monday, like we did, the only place to eat nearby is a pizza takeout.
Mostly none of the items mentioned in the Expedia description are available, a total scam.

Easy and quick checkin with SMS sent codes for entrance and room.

Some guests who arrived at the same time had some problems and had been sent codes to them that didnt worked and they had to struggle to got in hold of staff since they werent on site. So I am glad our codes did work.

The view wasnt, hmm what to say, beautiful. Just outside was a big buss terminal where they park the busses.

But I got to say that I give the place a 4/5 stars due to How everything was inside, possibility to buy their locally brewed beer.

The breakfast was packed in bags with a orangejuice, fruit and a very tasty sandwich.

Es ist etwas ungewohnt , dass kein Personal beim Check in vor Ort ist, und man lediglich am Tag des check in einen Zahlencode per SMS erhält. Bei uns hat aber alles reibungslos geklappt. Schöne Terrasse vor dem Eingang, wo man bei gutem Wetter den kostenlosen Kaffee genießen kann. Auch wenn dauerhaft kein Personal vor Ort war, ist alles sehr sauber.
