Needs more amenities, no fridge or microwave in room. Bathroom was not clean ( pee on toilet seat.) lots of black mold in shower.

Balcony needed clean BAD, we couldn’t even walk out bare foot.
Would not stay again for the money I paid.

Lady taking coffee orders was super nice.

The lady at the bar was also nice, but drinks were poorly made.

The Bayshore was nice in the common areas. Neat and clean. Debbie at the front desk was great, as was Phil in the Tiki Bar. Nice location and convenient that golf carts could be rented on sight.
Cons: Our room was not clean, and the balcony/patio was really dirty. (Bugs and cobwebs everywhere). Our bathroom was bad. I wiped things down with Lysol wipes.
The room had no clock, no small coffee maker (coffee was only available in the lobby for a $ charge beginning at 9 am I think they said), no refrigerator, no housekeeping during our 2 night stay, (no big deal since only 2 nights but would be for a longer stay), and a small desk top TV.
I'm sure some rooms, or Suites had more perks, but for the $$$ spent we were not happy. The rooms did have beautiful views from the balconies.

The grounds were maintained, however the , we paid for a jacuzzi sweet, but the tub would not plug, did not realize that until we came back to the room that first night, very disappointing as there was no one there to fix it.They do not put coffee pot`s in the room, guests have to go to the lobby, and PAY $4.00 per cup., REALLY!! The bathroom floor was dirty when we walked in, shower was cleanish, but, caulking around the inside shower, seemed to have had mold. The beds are extremely high, but comfortable.. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice.. The Tiki bar was great, the bartender was very sociable, did his job well.
We reserved this for 2 nights, but were not able to leave, We went down to reserve for Saturday night as well,. We had to change rooms, understandable, but we were put on the second floor, which was not a problem, but once again, the shower in this one ,was worse. Missing grout around outside shower tiles, caulking and shower seals
were nasty, like it was never cleaned. beds were the same as first room. Well, then, ice machine.
across our room, OUT OF ORDER!!.
The HEAT/Air unit was very noisy. The toilet had a dripping sound,, which we could not figure out.Got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, The toilet handle fell right of the toilet.. I did not stay there to continually have to have maintenance come clean or fix things. We paid a lot of money for this room, and what a disappointment it was.

The best things I can say about the room is it was clean and the view is wonderful, other than that, for the price it is hard to believe that you get no fridge or microwave. The elevator was sporadically working, not fun when you are on the 3rd floor and walk with 2 canes. When reported to front desk, he said I will look into it as he kept reading his magazine. The pools were disgusting, I realize they were going to be working on them that week, but they took away from the beauty of the view. In my opinion, don't open before you are ready.

I was really disappointed with my stay at Bayshore Resorts. From the start, the room felt incomplete, no clock, no phone, not even a pen and pad. The balcony was dirty, mirrors grimy, and no washcloths in the bathroom. And when you say ‘resort,’ you expect some basics, like a coffee maker or lite breakfast. There weren’t any. To top it off, the elevator was out, so we had to drag ourselves up three flights. The hallways were disgusting! spiderwebs, dust, zero care. And the swimming pool was out of order, just a total eyesore from the balcony. I get it’s not open yet, but it just added to the whole neglected vibe. For a resort, this was a total bust. I won’t be back.”

We stayed for the weekend at the Bayshore Resort and we cannot say enough about the customer service and kindness the staff showed us from check in to check out! The views were amazing and we rented a golf cart from them which was very convenient. Yes we were there in the off season but what a great place with very nice facilities. We lived the lake views and screened in balcony. The room was big and clean. We hope to stay again!

I liked the outside amenities. For the price we paid, which I thought was a somewhat high, I didn't like there was no small refrigerator or a coffee maker in the room. Also, we were given a handicap room when we could tell there were other rooms available the whole time we were there. Also, the ice maker on the first floor was broke and we had to go to the 3rd floor to use that ice maker. Which by the way, the grill where you set the ice bucket was missing.

The room had tons of cobwebs. Had to get the manager to bring staff to clean it. The ice machine AND vending machine on the first floor were out of order. But the views were spectacular. It’s frustrating because the manager tried rationalizing the cobwebs, when the cobwebs had dust. These scenic hotels think they can get away with not cleaning rooms correctly because they’re on a waterfront property. It really ruins the experience. Service was great, but due to cleanliness and inconveniences, it’s a 3 star from me.

This was our first trip and it did not disappoint!! Highs in the 60’s in August forced us into the hot tub only but it was plenty big enough to accommodate. The view is amazing!! The entire resort is cashless so keep that in mind. Also, the burger shack in the front closes whenever they feel like it so even if you were told 8 they could close at 7!

The view was beautiful. The swimming options were nice. However, the bathroom floor was dirty. The toilet kept running. We had holes in our blankets. No manager was ever found. We have emailed manager Nick several times and zero responses. We were on a time limit so while there we texted the number we were given to reach Nick and zero communication back and we went downstairs to reach a manager which we were told was Nick and he was nowhere to be found. For how expensive it was and for us to have to pay an additional 100$ for an "early" check in..... this was a rip off in my eyes. There was also paint hanging off the walls. Loud music late at night. Halls and elevator smelled like marijuana.

Check in is at 4pm and we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. We were sitting in the lobby and they never let us know if the room was ready. We had to keep going up to them and ask if it was ready yet. When we finally got into our room, we didn't have any towels. We asked twice for towels and they said that they were still being washed. The third time that we asked for towels, they finally gave us some. There is no free coffee and no free breakfast. Ice machines on each floor was not working or coming out slow.

Our stay was great. They can’t help it if parents don’t teach their kids to be considerate of others in the pool or rooms. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Bathrooms and showers have not been updated and need some work.TV was a small as a computer monitor. As others noted, there is no mini fridge, coffee maker or microwave, which is really behind the times, especially at these prices. You have to go downstairs to the coffee shop and actually pay four dollars for a cup of coffee. It just seems so ridiculous. Just get some coffee makers and put them in the room for goodness sake or have a self serve kiosk. Really just seems like another money grab. Great views, close to town. We would stay here again.

Not worth the ridiculous price

We paid almost $700 a night and didn't even have a coffee pot in our room. There was no complimentary coffee at all in fact, you had to go downstairs to the lobby and pay for it. The fan in our bathroom didn't work, our remote control to the TV didn't work, the door to the balcony would not shut all the way unless you slammed it, and I stepped on a piece of glass on the balcony. As mentioned there was no coffee pot, but also no mini refrigerator and no microwave. It was the most basic room I've ever been in. The one thing it had going for it was the view. We couldn't even connect to their internet. We've lived and traveled all over the world and stayed in some amazing places and paid a fraction of what we paid for Bayshore. Definitely not worth $690 a night. The staff was kind and was able to check us out early so that we could go stay somewhere else.

I also dosliked the fact that we had to wear blue wristband to identify us from other to swim and we paid almost 400 for one night. When morning came no complimentary coffee or anything.... was still paid for and them over priced ass burgers.... 20 dollars for themmmmm. Then the golf carts costed 200 for less than 12 hours??

Overall, this was a good stay. The room was comfortable & clean. The staff was great. My keycard stopped working. I thought it just needed a battery change.The night clerk picked my lock at midnight. She was very nice & apologetic. But then after that, my keycard kept demagnetizing over & over again. I had to go to the desk up to 8 times to get a new key over & over again. The manager & the desk clerk told me I would get $50 off for the 4 nights I stayed. Well, in the end that didn't happened. I was lied to. I never got mad which I probably should have-then I might have gotten my discount. I had a good stay but just not coming through with a promise is just not right. Do better Bayshore.

That's it, other than that I had a lovely time, staff was so nice and helpful. The tiki bar was awesome and the pools outside were great. No problems. I came on a Wednesday to avoid crowds and problems. I was there prior on the weekend and certain people showed up and caused fights and problems all weekend. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. I always loved it there. The staff is great. However, since it has been under new ownership it seems that they don't even provide the basic comforts that a nice hotel should have. No continental breakfast and the restaurant on premises is closed. There was no coffee maker in the room. You had to go into the lobby and pay at least 3.50 or more for a cup of coffee. The drinks at the Tiki bar were very expensive. No fridge or microwave in the room either. The ice machines and pop machines were out of order on both floors. There were no bath mats in either room that we booked. For such a nice hotel in a beautiful location it seemed like there should have been at least basic amenities. It seems like it is just all about the money now.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. Not fancy but has everything you need to really feel like you are at a resort even though you are only on Lake Erie. Beds are so soft. Balcony overlooking Lake Erie is a nice touch
Nice little coffee shop.
Great tiki bar with amazing bartenders.
Rent golf cars right on premises.
So close to downtown you could easily walk it unless you want to explore. Then get a cart.
Great family weekend getaway with older teenagers. We all had a blast.

Also, one of our neighbors must have been smoking marijuana the entire time, because our hallway was overwhelmingly smelling of it.
