The view of the mts, fireworks from our hotel room was awesome. The communication with the property host was great. He helped with a double booking and cleared that up and helped us with a minor dog issue, and a dinner tip in Spruce Pine . We slept well on clean sheets, the room was clean and not much noise outside our room. The property host had redone the room since the storm and it was very comfortable.

the skyline Village Inn is an amazing place. It is out-of-the-way with a spectacular view of the mountains that I actually loved sitting on the balcony looking at. and Steve, the gentleman who checked me in was amazing. He took the time to explain to me the history of the end, which I found absolutely amazing… I will definitely stay there again!

the door locks are simple residential door locks with a standard key. Ours did not work. Slept the first night with a chair up against the door in case we had been given the wrong key. The toilet didn’t flush and the manager/owner had to come with a plunger and unstop it. Left the plunger with us.
I don’t know what they were doing on floor above us but seemed like they were moving furniture and walking around on very squeaky floors, this was at midnight! We should have immediately been given another room when our key wasn’t functioning properly, not to mention the toilet. Can’t imagine there wasn’t a vacancy, we hardly saw any cars.
Never once heard Im sorry about any of the stuff we dealt with. I hate to leave negative comments about people’s livelihood, but I’m hoping this review will help them in the long run.

The rooms were very clean and the host was very accomadating. My only complaint was we couldn't get one overhead light to work and no outlets on one side of the room especially by mirrors which is hard for 3 ladies to get ready.

The heater/ac did not work. Devin was able to get us an electric heater that worked. The next day we needed the AC so we opened a window and turned the fan on the ac unit which was noisy. Was surprised room was not cleaned or trash emptied on any day. We enjoyed the food from the restaurant. Wish there was an ice machine since restaurant closed mondays. It was rustic with a great view!

We were not able to stay there because it is now a non profit that houses people who come to work on hurricane Helene. It was listed as a place to stay but when we arrived all rooms were booked including the one I paid for. A man at the property said he had Expedia send a refund to me. This property should not be listed on the site for booking.

Rustic Charming Mountain View Inn

Amazing quaint, cozy and well maintained inn located on the side of a mountain right near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Decorated for the holidays, ordered the bison burger at the restaurant downstairs aftet a long drive. Property manager husband and wife team were welcoming and full of hospitality for a solo snd weary traveler staying one night with her dog. Very pet friendly property. Room was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Bed, comforter, blankets and pillows were nice and snug. Took a nice hot shower with all the essentials. Mountain view on balcony offers an amazing view and sunshine rays in the morning! Highly recommend a stopover here if driving through western Carolina.

Inn is right off the Blue Ridge parkway. Check-in had to be done between 3 to 6 was easy. Property has a restaurant, a gift shop and a play room with pool table. We had a 2 queen bed facing the valley. It has a door to a shared balcony with Adirondack chairs. Individual air conditioning for each room. Room had wood floors and wood paneling to half way up walls. Room has dresser with 40\" TV and a good size refrigerator. The sink is in the room. Shower and toilet in closet. Thick towels provided.

The view is fantastic. The hotel was built in the 1940's there is parking in front that is a little close to the roadway and also a parking lot behind the building. The on property managers are great. They are warm, welcoming, and over the top in customer service. There is a restaurant on the first floor for meals. The hotel was clean and the rooms were large. The bedding was soft and there was a bonus body pillow as a pleasant surprise.

We loved the managers, so friendly and helpful! The room was rustic with a great view. Very comfortable bed. The game room was well stocked with coffee,tea, ice, tables and games. There is a nice outdoor space as well. Since there is not an elevator, staying on the 3rd floor is the best because that is where you park, so you don’t have to carry your suitcases up or down the stairs.
Everything was super clean, the only thing that was tricky was the shower😁

5 stars for amazing view and great staff! This is a quirky, boutique style hotel hanging off the side of the mountain. It is a bit makeshift with an unusual layout and every room layout different. We stayed in 304 and it was incredible. I wouldn't stay here during a hurricane because of chance of landslide on highway out front.

The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious, the beds luxurious, and the shower excellent. I loved the outdoor balconies with comfortable chairs to view the mountains and valley and the sunset. And the game room is a super bonus! Pool table, darts, board games, as well as a big TV and arm chairs.

One drawback: the lighting. The room is well-lit with two lovely overhead lamps, a bedside lamp, and wall lighting behind the beds. The issue is that if you flip the light switch that controls the overhead and wall lighting, the one bedside lamp looks like a camp lamp in a cave. Also, when all light are out, it is pitch black. Not great if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. We ended up leaving the bathroom light on with the door mostly shut so we could find our way in the dark. Not a huge problem.

The property managers were extremely friendly, helpful, and gracious. We had great conversations both at check-in and at breakfast. They definitely made our stay at the Inn much more pleasurable.

This property is in transition and under new ownership and management! It needs a lot of updating and renovating. The new management is working on that! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Skyline Village Inn. The whole place has this quirky quaint vintage charm. Its a perfect spot to stay at right on the Blue Ridge Parkway! The room was exceptionally clean and the bed and pillows extra comfy. The mountain views were spectacular.The owners and staff were very kind and accommodating. It's obvious how much they love the Inn. They gifted me a bottle of champagne for my 50th birthday. The continental breakfast was fresh. You can buy a crystal or some snacks or beverages from the gift shop. I plan on having return visits and wound definitely recommend staying here.

I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff! The views were spectacular. Rooms were quaint and clean. The location felt so far away from the downtown area, but was just a short drive from anything you needed. If we are ever in the area again, we will most definitely be back!

Stayed there with my girlfriend cause I wanted to take her to Little Switzerland for her birthday. Nice place to stay. The owners are very nice and go above to please their guests. The place is a little out dated but hey, it's the mountains! The bed was extremely comfortable and the continental breakfast top notch. The restaurant is closed for remodeling but there are plenty of places close by. I would highly recommend!

I can honestly say, my husband and I will be going back. The kindness shown to us was greatly appreciated and the hospitality of the inn keepers was great. Was an older inn but very well taken care of, very nice, clean. The full breakfast we had was delicious. The weather conditions weren't exactly what you would like but the care from the staff excellent. Would highly recommend this place.

It is a clean, vintage inn. It has great views and the staff are helpful and friendly. It’s not far off the Blue Ridge Parkway so that is why we stayed here. We were told about dinner if we wanted to eat there for supper. We were not informed if WiFi was offered or not, and not sure about a continental breakfast. But since my Keurig was full of coffee grinds I didn’t have coffee in the room but upon checkout I was offered a to go coffee and if I wanted any breakfast but we were already on our way out. There is not a microwave in the room so make note in case you wanted to heat up leftovers. We did not sleep well. The bed felt like our feet were higher than our head so it was different. The floors are original and a very pretty hardwood so they do creak and pop when people walk up and down the hall and we heard knocking and movement all night and we were on the upper level. It’s an ok place to stay.
