We stayed in the north building. We had an angled view of the ocean, cute little balcony with chairs. Ocean was beautiful and visible. The room could definitely use some updating, but understandable for beach communities to be the way they are. Their quaint restaurant/market is very convenient. The pool was great and the beach was a quick stroll down the path.

After staying at this property for over 8 years this is my last time, at least until the cleaning issues that they have on this rooms are handle properly. I stayed in unit 504W and the room was filthy with dirty bathroom and toilets, the unit floor were super dirty, I arrived around 9pm and to my surprised the bathrooms had mold all over th place and it appears that who ever clean the floors put the trash on the toilets and forgot to flush it.
At that time my wife had to clean the bathrooms so the kids could take a shower and clean the floors as well. I’m not paying for two very expensive nights and having to deal with this kind situations.

The unit was nice, the living area a bit cramped, bedrooms nice, kitchen fitted out with place settings for 4. The ocean side balcony view left a lot to be desired. The room type description inferred that the room was located within the front (beach side) half of the side rooms, but it was 2/3 the way toward the road.

This was our 3rd or 4th time at Sunset Vistas. Sadly, it will be our last time. These rooms are \"dated\" to put it mildly. Mold around the bathtubs. We told the front desk person. She just shrugged and said, \"The rooms are scheduled for an update.\" They wouldn't clean up the mold nor would they change our room. Not enough room around the pool... very congested. Drinks are waaaayyyy too expensive at their bar.
In short, there are better options than Sunset Vistas.

There was about a dozen big roaches in the first suite we actually booked and when I asked to get switched to a different room, we ended up losing our view but it was cleaner and they ended up charging us for it so if I could give 0 stars I would.

My and family and i stayed apriI l16/19 ..The check in process was not good computer s were down so we had to wait awhile to check in..The ladies were helpful in telling us where to parkand get to the room..we got into the room ..the view was amazing but thats about it ..it started with the shower the pressure was so hard it could of peeled uour skin off and no way to ajust it...Then the bedroom had ants in it i have pics all over the night stand and on side of the bed. Also the dish waher didnt work. .i attempted to wash the dirty dishes that were in the cabinets ..it was gross like they haven't been washed in days..i could use any dishes or put and pans..i had to buy plastic and didn't cook..the refrigerator didnt produce ice ..the pull out bed was so uncomfortable that my kids said they were goung to sleep on the floor...to sit on the couch was so uncomfortable...the furniture in the master was chipping paint the base boards were so dirty they were black..the door had some sort of yellow dripping down the door. Over all it was sick . .but the balcony is what we were there for ..the view was amazing..if you liketo watch tv before you fall asleep you might want to take glasses its so small for a big room im talking like 19 inch or smaller ..my son that slept with the ants had to sleep with a blanket over his head he was afraid they were going to go in his ears....so for the money i paid out was not worth it at all...i would definitely look around before staying here...

Checkin time was 4pm. We didn’t get in until after 7pm. Zero apologies given. Very frustrating when you’ve been up traveling since 4am. No apology, no comps, just, “it’s still not ready.” We also paid for a gulf view, but overlooked the parking lot instead, with a snippet view of the gulf in the far distance. We were literally in one of the farthest rooms back away from the oven. Between the service and our view, we were very disappointed in what we paid.

Did not like that they did not monitor the saved chairs at the pool as the pool is very small for the amount of rooms. Couple times went there and there were no seats available. Cafe on the premises had very good food.

Check in was hour late. Our air conditioner stopped working on day 3. On day five they said maintenance was in and it could not be fixed. Offered to give us a new room but I did not want to pack everything up and move with only a couple days left of our vacation. Beach front was nice. Nice having laundry in room but washing machine is loud. Happy with beds and bathrooms. Rooms were clean.

This place is absolutely ridiculous besides not offering any breakfast of any kind their furniture was completely old and dated table is coming off the legs dirty couches that need to be cleaned chipping on furniture and ridiculous TVs that aren't even connected to remote the smallest thing I've ever seen in a hotel that cost as much the manager was not helpful at all very high and mighty not willing to help in any way. Also had a manager of the hotel housekeeping come in my room after I asked for a late checkout and was told that it was okay she walked in telling her to get out my kids are here what are you doing we are checking out at 12:00 thank you she kept arguing with me while being inside of my room ! This is not acceptable in any way shape or form !

We just left the Sunset Vistas. There are some good features - rooms are big (while bathrooms are tiny), kitchen is equipped well and proximity to the ocean is nice.
Management is awful. We booked 2 rooms with the same itinerary for the same family back in November. Since then we called the hotel three times asking what should we do to ensure we have rooms next to each other. We have 4 kids, one of them is special needs, so having rooms next to each other is a safety feature for our family. We told the management about this multiple times before and upon arrival. They gave us two rooms in the opposite wings of the building located on different levels. They told us that they will take care of this next day, they never did. We came to the front desk every single day for the first 5 out of 8 days of our stay. Every day we were told that tomorrow suite close to ours departing and next days manager would give another lame excuse.
To add to the worst hotel experience, for 8 days zero time cleaning was done, we had to wash the towels, because they were not changing them and it was never enough when we requested them. No toiletries were refilled (three small tubes were supposed to serve my family for 8 days, I guess). Moreover, the toilet paper was brought after multiple reminders and coming to the front desk on the second day after the first request.
The hotel itself is not bad and looks very nice, but the management and service issues made our trip dangerous and very stressful

There was nothing special about this room - other than its proximity to the beach. I felt like the kitchen was lacking, there was no broom (there is now - I left the one I purchased), and the guest bed fell at some point during each evening of our stay. There is a good view of one of the pools, but the property is pretty dated.

This is probably the best place to stay in treasure Island. We have been here many times over the years and it never disappoints. The suites are a little dated but the condo property managers are slowly improving the units. There is a lovely eatery that is reasonably priced and a modest beach bar. The pool is nice for dipping, but don’t expect anything Grand. Given the amount of people that the complex can accommodate. It is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants at Johns Pass. There is also a really nice waslking path that starts directly to the south of the property.

Ok so honestly.. I had a bad start to this vacation. There was a miscommunication and they checked me into a dirty room. They “cleaned” the room (not well) I was still very upset. I stayed here for a week and no one else had an experience like me. Everyone’s else had a great check in and clean rooms. Even me my friend that came with us. Her room was great. So I think I just got a bad draw.. the price and convenience of this place I will 10/10 recommend!! All staff so friendly, bar and beach staff make you feel like family! Everything is in walking distance ( if you able bodied) Ubers are cheap and there is an easy trolly. Hotel provides laundry soap, dish soap and other reins you might need. Having a kitchen is a huge money saver for a family vacation. Great place to stay! I do recommend

Under renovation when we stayed so everything (elevators, stairways, beach access) was taped off. The noise and dust were ridiculous. The beach was being worked on. Very limited kitchen items available. When we asked when the grinding of the concrete walkways would be done, we were told Tuesday yet it was still going on Friday when we left.
I would dedinitely call and ask if they are still renovating before booking. It may be a great property if they are done. I would find another property if they are still working on it.

Of all the places I have stayed on the coast I would put this one towards the bottom of my list.
We had a room right over the exit of the parking garage so it was always noisy and not private at all. Overall for price we were disappointed.
I will say the room was nicely decorated. They did a nice job there.

Description was accurate- angled beach view, two pools (lovely warm heated) and tiki bar and restaurant! Great to have two bedrooms and space! Right off beach which was fantastic white sand. We had a beautiful beach view! The rooms are angled so also had a slight street view. Both pools & both hot tubs were enjoyable for both kids & adults. The beach tiki bar was convenient for enjoying the beautiful sunsets! The grounds & fountains were very nice. The staff was friendly.

The beach view was good. The staff was at times very rude when we logged complaints about our accomodations. The room was the most disgusting place. It was filthy from top to bottom. A cabinet door was falling apart, there was trash in the microwave, the washer was cruddy, the dishwasher stunk, one TV had fallen off the wall. Etc etc etc.

This was a beautiful property with very friendly staff. The room was very clean and well supplied. I loved the direct access to the beach. We had a few quirks while we were there— internet went out on the tv and had to be repaired at 9:40 at night, but they were there and they did. Also the smoke alarm went off in the morning while we were still in bed and wouldn’t quit for 15 minutes, There was no dependable reason, and then it quit with out anyone attending to it. Weird things, but nothing to make the stay bad.

Sunset Vistas is fine. But it shouts “budget holiday” in a way I didn’t expect. Veneer peeling of the bathroom and kitchen cupboards. No hand towels. Faucet and showerhead spray wildly. One bedroom window overlooks the balcony where guests and staff walk so you have to keep the drapes closed all day. Cafe serves food on foam plates with plastic forks. That said, every balcony has an ocean view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean.

Overall our stay was nice. They are doing a lot of renovations which caused inconveniences. For instances, we had to move our car 4 times, our car was ‘boxed in’ by a big yellow piece of equipment used by people painting, we were asked to move our furniture from our balcony to inside and there were painters on our balcony via hoists for two days. Otherwise, the accommodations were good.

The maintenance was a little issue( bathroom fan and kitchen phone didn’t work and lots of cabinets laminate covering was coming off) Pool and hot tub was very nice.
