It’s a restored older hotel in close proximity to the beaches. We had one one of the smaller rooms which was ok but would’ve preferred something a little larger. The bathroom was small which is to expected in an older hotel. The tv cable system was one of those where they stream all the stations that almost nobody watches at home. When you would enter a station number from the list that they have it would come up not available. We chose it for the old time charm not the tv reception and were not disappointed!!

We used the hotel as a base camp to go to Detroit Tiger game as well as it being a central point to where friends of ours were.
It is a well maintained historic hotel which has more of a bed and breakfast vibe. But, it also has a decent pool too, so best of both worlds while being fairly priced with an excellent breakfast included.

This place can't be beat for the price. Friendly, attentive staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The hotel is older and not in the best location for accessing beaches, but the value is going to be hard to beat in St. Pete.

Classic old Florida accomodations. The reception and common areas have antiques and memorabilia from its 100+ years of existence. The comfortable dining are where breakfast is offered to guests is old-school friendly, opening to the outdoor grounds. The rooms are especially large compared to more modern hotel choices. For an older property this place was awesome! You could feel the nostalgia in the lobby and reading area. The atmosphere took you back to another era when where everything was simple and happy. The staff was fantastic! Our room, though not really big, was spotless and so so comfortable. The pool area was comfortable and sunny and the breakfast served in the dining room in the morning was delicious! It wasn’t your average bagel, apple, box of dry cereal and weak coffee hotel breakfast, it was a full spread of delicious breakfast food. I would recommend this property without hesitation and I will be staying there again.

The hotel has some atmosphere and character of an old Florida resort, but has been updated with modern conveniences. Great location only a ten minute drive from St Pete beaches, and also easy to get into the Central arts district and downtown. They also serve a great breakfast. I'd definitely recommend Crystal Bay, and I'd stay here again.

Meeting the staff was much more pleasurable, from Cassandra at the front desk to the house cleaning staff friendly and professional services, Mr.Burns GM, and of course Jesse Lee who quickly came to my aid when I left a phone in friends car and worked with me calling, texting, and just getting it done as quickly and smoothly as possible while fixing my shower which simply need a turn of a bracket. The breakfast buffet was great! Fresh, abundant, tasty. Coffee and tea service 24/7. Rooms larger than average and good pillows, mattress and linens. I loved strolling along Boca Ciega Bay or finding little coffee houses like Mrs. G's! Treasure Island right over the causeway... John's Pass, Mad Beach just laid back and really good food at Scullys on the water. Will return for the ease, hospitality and a bit of old Florida charm at the historic hotel.

The breakfast was a delight! Again, it was a very homey and comfortable vibe. The food was fresh and there was a lovely variety of fresh cut fruit and protein options. Everyone in the family found delicious options!
The hotel is a remodeled old hotel with old-school charm. The floor in the hallway might have a slight bump and the carpet may be a bit worn in some spots, but in exchange you get an experience that you don’t get anywhere else!
