Our 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for a friends getaway. The view from our balcony was priceless. The management and every staff we encountered were so friendly. Yes, there is construction all around- every area is still recovering from hurricane damage. This resort doesn’t have on sight eating or lounges. But there is so many places right within walking distance. And you are right on the beach.

I really enjoyed my stay. Some people may complain the room was a little dated but had everything we needed. Lots of room and it was very clean. Would have preferred a private balcony but still had and amazing view of the ocean. I would definitely stay here again. I went through hotels.com and got a very affordable rate for my stay.

Check in was fast and she was friendly. Elevator was very slow to the 5th floor. Waited for staff most of the time. Construction makes it look kind of trashy. So much debris, the birds were non stop noisy and eating off the ground not far from the entrance to pool. Toilet did not flush very well. Our pool view was more a construction view.

Fantastic pool area, much better than resorts next door. Room was ok, nothing fancy but met all our needs. We were on vacation and didn’t plan on spending much time in the room. Kitchen area was well stocked with all service/cooking-ware needed. Bed was comfortable. Room did have a musty smell upon arrival from a/c unit, I believe, but subsided after a day or so. Overall a great quiet retreat, we will be back.

The units were a bit outdated, some mould, we were on the 6th. floor and the air conditioning unit on the roof was very noisy when it kicked in every 15 or 20 mins. The pool and spa were excellent and there were plenty of chairs, so never an issue of getting one. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

To quantify this review I review every property I stay at regardless of it being a good or bad experience.That being said lets start with the main reason for the negative review. The warning for other travelers would be to confirm you will have one room during your stay.We made reservations through Expedia two months in advance and confirmed several days before arriving. When we arrived to check in I immediately felt a bad vibe from the front desk staff but didnt' let it affect our check in. We were staying for the weekend and booked for a 2 night stay. On our second day we bumped into the housekeeping staff and told them the room did not require service. At that point we were informed we were moving rooms that day without our knowledge. In addition we were not just moving but having to check out of one room and move out luggage etc into the office to wait for the room to be available. We had already made plans to be on a boat to go snorkelling etc and would not be available. We were told if we had not been there they would have just packed up our belongings and moved them without our permission. We went the office to discuss the matter and informed them we had no knowledge of the situation. The response was well you signed the form that said you were moving at check in. They were very combative and gave the SOL speech. After my wife became upset they basically said they were going to forcibly check us out because we were upset. Suddenly they found a way to keep us in our rm.

It felt like home, comfortable and private. (I noticed some rooms are being remodeled.) Being right on the beach and with all the pools and hot tubs on the property, you don’t spend much time in the room. It was clean and spacious. Plan on returning for a 2 bedroom with the kids.

The office was closed and there was a sign where to go. It took us 10-15 min to find the office where we need to check in. The lady at the check in desk didn't even acknowledge that their check in desk is hard to find. She wasn't very welcoming when we checked in. The room itself was good,. We had a pool view, an ocean view and a parking lot view, so we chose to look at the ocean. The shower head was leaking, the a/c was leaking and the front door was hard to close. We didn't mention any of it to the front desk till we left since it wasn't such a big deal. Overall, I might stay there again depending on the price of this hotel and surrounding properties.

Disappointed with how the hotel looked, how the office was located. The pool and the closenes of the beach were the only positive aspects of this hotel. The rooms were outdated plus dirty, one of the bathrooms were not in working conditions. We had to calk the maintenance in order to utilize it. There were used dirty water bottles underneath one of the beds, indicating the rooms were never cleaned. Will not be staying here again.

The gulf is beautiful however it’s too bad they could not replace the 1970’s ripped and smelly bedspread, as well as the carpet in the bedroom and old drapes. You know just a new comforter at Walmart would be a great improvement. Or even new curtains don’t need to be expensive. The moldy bath mat with a rip in it was the worst. They did put dishwasher tablets in the kitchen but in an old rusty container. These things aren’t expensive, a dollar store could improve that. The ceramic in the bathroom and the living area was nice and the set up was nice. But as far as communication we added an extra day that they knew nothing of, so we reminded them upon check in. The parking pass was not updated so we let them know so we wouldn’t get towed and they said come in to get it updated, when we did they gave us the same exact pass. Asked for extra towels (and if you wanted to ask you had to wait until 900 when the office opened) then they told us go downstairs to housekeeping and we go down and knock on the door and she yells out ‘Not open yet’ ?? Did not feel the welcoming here at all. The laundry room was nice so I’ll give them that. The man that worked in the office was nice. The biggest turn off was the huge cicada in the corner that obviously was not found during cleaning before we checked in. I think a lil different attitude and a few cheap upgrades would definitely help, especially since they try to sell these units.

Great view and calm resort. The rooms they need to be updated a little bit but the pool and the beach is right next to the resort. The pool is beautiful and very clean and the Jacuzzi was amazing. The furniture needs some updating, especially the dinettes.

paid for pool view, but instead got empty parking lot with a cop car every night with headlights on. NO balcony a shared hallway. During Labor Day holiday, property workers had their families on the pool areas playing loud music on both pools basically they took entire pool, playing ball on pools. At night people gathered in pools again with babies with diapers on. kids on whirlpools leaving empty cans of soda.

Most of the property is nicely landscaped and maintained and the staff are very helpful and super friendly. Adjoining areas outside the fence look like abandoned construction zones; not appealing. Love the pool! Would be nice to have a few more tables with umbrellas (the few they have go fast)

Ok Weekend Stay.
We normally stay nearby, but decided to try this one out. It was more expensive than the others. The biggest plus is the pool. It's resort style with different areas that are quieter and some areas for kids. Other than that, there were a bunch of little things that added up after a while. Pics show a tiki bar...it's never used and hasn't been open in years. Pool has a waterfall/fountain that for some reason doesn't turn on until about noon every day. Pool gets crowded around 9am. Rooms are a little small, in comparison to others in the area. Appliances in the room are $9 Sunbeam appliances so apparently they break often. We had 2 break while we were there. Overall, we would rather stay at one of neighboring places with a nice beach bar/restaurant, maybe some music and activities by the pool and more of a vacation type feel to it. This is a perfectly normal condotel with comfy beds, on the beach and near everything...but so are all of the neighboring properties.

The pool area was very nice, with an almost-infinity pool & another deeper pool, along with 3 jacuzzi tubs, all open until 11pm, which was perfect for the cooler nights. Also, the “waterfall” was neat & fun to swim under. The location was perfect with quick easy access to the beach & within walking distance to restaurants (Snappers is highly recommended), 7/11, ice cream shops, etc. Cabanas were able to rent from the hotel (Alden suites) next door, & they had a beachside cabana bar with delicious ice cream drinks. There was a full kitchen in the room so we went to the Publix for groceries & saved some money by making food in the rooms. Every time I called the property, they were super friendly & accommodating; we arrived late (about 1 am) & had no issues getting our keys; just call ahead for directions on how :) My only complaint is that there appears to be a poolside bar but it wasn’t open the entire time we were there. It would have been nice to have one on our own property. Other than that, it was great. I would definitely return!

I really liked the place, very good location, we really enjoyed the pool and just a few steps away we could be on the beach.

Two days into our stay we noticed black mold growing on our bathroom ceiling that looked like it had previously been painted over to try and cover up. Upon realizing we looked closer and noticed mold growing in multiple places in our room. We immediately left our keys in the room, packed up, and spent the rest of our vacation elsewhere. After leaving we went online and noticed this was not the only black mold review this company received this week. I would expect MUCH better from a time share property. Black mold is no joke and management better get it under control before they’re shut down for putting the public at risk.

Tried checking in at 3:45 (thought check in was 4) We were told to ask housekeeping when checkin was? Assuming there is a battle between check in & housekeeping ?? Never got into room til close to 5. The checkin clerk was so rude (she was the shorter of the 2) Not the welcome we were expecting! Never experienced this with VRI,

When we arrived, we were immediately disappointed with our room. The room looked like it hadn’t been updated in decades. The website mentioned their poolside bar and balconies. The bar was not even open and the balcony was a common walkway with two chairs and a table.
After our initial disappointment, we complained to the office staff but they had no available rooms to move us to.
Then we discovered the mold in the bathroom and that was the final straw.
We booked a room at another resort and checked out the following day. After explaining to the clerk about our room and the mold, the only response we got was “where is the other swim band?” Take up any problems with Hotels.com.
Didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or inquire about when the mold was in the room.
After contacting Hotels.com, they contacted the Coral Reef management and we were informed that after the reservation was finalized, there were no refunds of any kind. I guess they could have put us in a broom closet and there is no recourse available.

The kitchen cookware was nice and new and we enjoyed cooking meals during our stay but the kitchen cabinet drawer was broken and kept falling out dropping all the silverware and there was a pop can under the bedroom desk and an empty toilet paper roll in the bathroom and some type of human secretions on the extra comforter. It just didn’t feel like the room had been properly cleaned. The parking situation needs to be changed. Traveling with our 12 month old son it was a hassle having to park so far away from our room. The picture online paints different picture. We were glad to be directly on the beach but other than that we wish we would’ve stayed elsewhere.
