We loved our stay! When we first pulled up I thought, hmmmmm, I am not 100% sure about this place. BUT we quickly realized how great it was! Our room was so cute and when I walked in, it just smelled clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The decor was cute! We didn’t realize it had a cute little kitchen. It had a larger fridge than normal. The TV and the shower left a little to be desired, but we didn’t care. The pool was great and the private beach had the whitest sand and warmest clean water!! It was fairly shallow for a long way out so you could just really enjoy the water. While we were out there, a dolphin even came up pretty close to us! The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind the whole 3 days we were there. There were tons of games to play and you saw families with kids enjoying themselves AND you saw just adults enjoying themselves too. The bar had cheap drinks that were strong. They seemed to think of everything there that I’d want. They were dialed. We loved it! Thank you!

Our 2 day trip was amazing. Upon check in Liam was our front desk agent. He checked us in smoothly, even made some accommodations for our reservation. Which we appreciated. He explained all the amenities and things around the hotel. The room was nice and clean. Our balcony view was beautiful. The bed was super comfy and soft. We got to enjoy the pool and the beach with the kids. And we played cornhole. The kids definitely enjoyed the play area on the beach. I loved that we had our own private secluded part of the beach for hotel guests only. They even had cabana’s and games to play on the beach which I thought was pretty cool. Overall experience was great. Can’t complain. This was our first time here and since we live 46 minutes away, we will definitely be back very soon hopefully soon enough.

Rooms were extremely small the pictures misrepresented the pool did not open until 10 closed early people were coming from off the street for what was supposedly a private Beach microwave didn’t work the bathroom was extremely tiny. It was. It was just very deceptive in the listing, but it was clean.

Had a wonderful stay. Wonderful staff. The amenities were great. We rented the umbrella and chairs daily, making it easier than to travel with our own. They had floats and other items free of use for the pool an ocean as long as you returned them. There was a small sand area for kids with houses and sand toys, the pool was well maintained and peaceful. Across the street was the drunken clam, 10/10 recommend. The staff gave great recommendation s for local food. My ONLY complaint was the water pressure in the shower, it was absolutely awful unfortunetly. The shower outside for rinsing sand off was 100 times more powerful than the room shower. I could not even get the sand off of myself or bathe myself properly because the pressure was entirely too low. That was my only complaint.

We appreciate the architecture was kept after all these years and storms. Nostalgic and the city is peaceful and one feels secure. The accommodations are thoughtful a set of kitchen wares to use, we had an efficiency type. The beach is at your doorstep, with sand as fine as powder, not grainy. Google Earth the location, simplicity refined with a variety of foods and entertainment. But non compares to the Sunset that is experienced at your doorstep.

So glad to be able to come to Plaza Beach resort, with the wonderful salt pool right on St Pete Beach. So many places to choose from for a delicious seafood dinner and the room is well appointed. Outside games if you like to enjoy them too!!

Hotel was okay. DO NOT book if you need an accessible room. There aren’t any. Wheel chais can’t get into any bathroom or access the beach. Had to use a long ramp beside hotel. Had to change propertys to even get a room that bathroom was big enough to use. Chairs they advertise are a long way from the beach. You have to rent their chairs umbrellas etc. can’t even bring your own. Retro style was kinda neat. Rooms were nice if you are mobile. Did get resort fee refunded and comp umbrella and chairs. Still waiting for it though. Eva was tremendous trying to help and was always there when needed. Pretty much wasted the first day trying to find a room that the wheelchair would fit. Still had to improvise to get wife in the bathroom. Like I said, don’t stay here if you need an accessible room room.

Very cute hotel. The reception area was adorable, the staff very friendly and welcoming. You can tell that the hotel was totally renovated from top to bottom, everything is in new condition. The room was super clean, you can smell it. Super convenient, right on the beach. The surrounding areas and pool, very well maintained and clean. I was pleasantly surprised. Would come again.

Super clean and cute. Access directly to the beach. Easy to find and park. Plenty of dining options in area. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was decorated with cute, kitchy decor. I would absolutely stay here again. Also their staff and little store was nice to have. Even had a beer and wine hour complimentary. When you visit I recommend making the short drive down to Pass-A-Grille and snorkel at the top (dog park to old fishing pier). Great shelling there.

Also recommend checking out Cafe Riviera when in Pass-A-Grille. Take a bike and explore the area super cute and my favorite place to visit. Just expensive to stay in Pass-A-Grille.

Everything was great, the only thing I wish we would have been told or known was if the floats were for everyone to use or if they could be taken to the beach or how that worked. I wouldn’t have purchased one of if I could borrow one. Also DJ (at the beach rental area) was amazing she blue up my float for me!

The bed was comfy, the view was wonderful, the sliding doors/windows did well to keep sound out from the pool area, the bathroom was tiny and low water pressure but worked for us, was great to have a full size fridge. The cooktop is VERY small so keep that in mind for planning. Didn't love the tiny ants that came out any time we cooked, and it was too buggy on the balcony to really use it but not sure what can be done about that. The staff are lovely, friendly, helpful and communicative. Plenty of food options nearby, and direct access to the beach is golden. Bar had simple offerings but was very inexpensive!

The location if this hotel is amazing. Only footsteps from the water and St Pete's beach.
I loved being walking distance to a Starbucks, Sushi, & Jersey Mikes. Once the Publix is open it will be a game changer.

The room was clean. Tiled floors and comfy beds. I really enjoyed having a small kitchen to boil my water for tea eveynight and store my leftover's in the large frig.

This hotel is quaint and I was pleasantly suprised by my experience. I would come back!

I loved the location and it not being a large hotel...leaves plenty of room on their private beach. I liked the layout of the room and decoration. The property appears well maintained with employees that seem to care about their work. Now what I found that I did not like and I am only saying these things because I want them to become better. The room furniture was delaminating and should be replaced. Room overall was clean; the tile floor in the room is beautiful but more attention should be taken to thoroughly clean the floor so my socks and feet do not look like I ran out on dirt(this is the one thing that bothers me a lot). Despite those small complaints I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying there again.

The staff is not friendly and the manager is a JERK! He speaks down to women and is so disrespectful, his tone quickly changes when a man approaches him with concerns and conversation. The floor in our room had a black sticky spot in the floor and hadn’t been cleaned and the shower had mold around the ceiling. If you visit the tiki bar be ready to smell nothing but marijuana because the workers have it in their vapes and will hit the vape while you’re standing there to order drinks & cuss like crazy. Our air went out the 2nd night there and we called the emergency contact number 3 times and nobody ever called us back, we text the number also with no reply, we had to leave at 7 am to go to en event and when I called at 11 their response was we got the messages and when I asked if it was fixed I was told it hadn’t even been checked yet, we had to sleep in the room with it burning up in there and it wasn’t fixed until after 2 pm the next day after I called and said if it wasn’t fixed when we got back we’d be getting a refund. But then the unit was so loud the rest of our stay. We was told we’d be refunded 2 nights stay but instead ally checkout all they refunded was a resort fee of $92.11. I would not recommend staying here at all.

The property has a lot of potential to be what it claims to be, but I think it needs some help.
When we checked in the staff told us we were staying at a different property of the hotel- one that was not as nice and located on the bay instead of beachfront. Thankfully, another staff intervened and corrected her.
When we got to our room, we tried to pull out the full-sized couch bed- the thing completely fell apart. There was no bedding. I had to go back to the lobby to get a couple sheets. The staff again did not know where the bedding was, no extra pillows. and had to get back to me about that the next day. my 14-year-old slept in a space that was the size of a crib the first night.
The second night they did come in give us an air mattress.
we had a nice room facing the ocean. But It was a little disappointing that the pool area got overtaken by a lot of drunk seniors.
One couple was blasting country music from their personal stereo. We went to the beach and sat down on beach chairs. Moments later, a man arrived and said that if we wanted to stay, we would need to pay $75 to use 2 not so great beach chairs and an umbrella)

The Plaza Beach Resort has become mine and my best friends new favorite spot. Liam and everyone was so nice and welcoming. Happy hour in lobby from 4pm-5pm all you can drink wines. Our room was a little retro with a cute fridge and matching microwave. Beds are comfy, pillows are really soft, maybe even too soft but manageable. Pool area was great and our access to to the beach was perfect, not a long walk to the ocean. We will definitely be back.

We checked out two days early.. the room did not meet expectations. The bedding was dirty, coffee maker was dirty(no coffee), the room was bright all night long, dresser was inaccessible, a/c seemed broken and early, ceiling fan was partially broken, The staff did not care that we were dissatisfied, we were not refunded for our remaining two nights we did not use. We chose to check into an alternative hotel. We disliked it enough to lose out on almost $1,000.00 and pay for another hotel on top of it. That should tell you all you need to know. Don’t stay here

We enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Beach Resort. It was clean and had tons of storage space, comfortable bed, cute retro decor, ceiling fan, hot shower, large refrigerator, right on the beautiful white sand beach. It was only about a block away from the Sunrunner bus stop so public transportation is easy. It was perfect for our first trip to St Pete's Beach.

Second time here! Room was clean, replacement items were quick to receive. Room was able to hold temperature well. All amenities were utilized and nice. We spent a large majority of our time on the beach and found literally dozens of sand dollars. We went swimming in the pool and utilized the fishing poles to catch some fish -- caught 2 fish and saw a manatee!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! We had an issue with a third-party reservation, but Liam went above and beyond to resolve it and made sure everything was taken care. Thank you !
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is unbeatable—literally steps from the beach. The kids had a great time with all the amenities like ping pong and mini golf, which made the stay even more enjoyable for our whole family.
Definitely a spot we’ll be returning to. There’s nothing like walking right out the front door and onto the beach!

Staff is excellent but the property allows smoking outside. Marijuana smell was awful at the pool and cigarettes smell awful from our neighbors which smoke outside their room. Site says amenities that are not at all available. With the private beach, sand up by the pool not private beach at the ocean, there's no access to the ocean for people with handicaps. We will not stay at this motel ,and yes it's a motel, in the future.

This hotel is very unique and quirky. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the beach access was amazing. The cabana boy was friendly and very good about keeping it available only for hotel guests. I feel for the price however, you should have gotten more for it. There is no house keeping, sheets and towels are not changed daily which was unusual. The cell phone service is extremely poor, and the wifi is hardly any better. Strangely, many outlets are out of service. Unfortunately, the advertised “fitness center” is at a sister location, and provides only 3 equipments and no free-weights. (Even the staff recommended finding a better option.) I quite enjoyed my stay, but for how little you get for how much you’re paying, (I’m assuming most of the price is for the beach front), I wouldn’t book again.

We had a wonderful experience!! The staff, the proximity to the beach, in-room kitchenette, and the ease of getting to area attractions were the best parts. (Although the daily happy hour was amazing too!) We always felt welcomed, safe, and comfortable.
For a family with young kids, we don’t need/want anything fancy. We just wanted to have fun together and be on the beach. The Plaza Beach Resort provided that all for us and more!

Right on the Beach!!! I have stayed at Plaza Beach many times. I Love that it is a small 2 story hotel. Easy acess to pool and beach. Plenty of restaurants just a short walk on the beach or on land. Plaza Beach now owns their section of the Beach. This is very nice as it only allows guest of Plaza Beach and their 2 \"sister\" Hotels access to this area. They do however want you to rent their umbrellas & chairs at $20 per item. So, 2 chairs 1 umbrella = $60.00 plus tax. I would recommend buying 2 chairs at Walgreens across the street and rent the umbrella. We had an 11yr old & an 8yr old with us and I love that the rooms, pool & beach were all close together so we didnt have to worry about them going to the pool or room by themselves if they needed to. The entire Staff was Wonderful!!!

This is a boutique hotel, the owner, Kris, was onsite frequently while we were there to greet guests and to make sure everything was running smoothly day to day. The hotel is clean, has a great view of the ocean, there is a happy hour from 4pm to 5pm daily with all you can drink wine and beer complimentary, and a very nice large private beach front. There were some additonal fees that I was unaware of such as renting the cabanas/umbrellas/beach loungers on the private beach, the information on expedia made it seem like these were included in the daily resort fee in which they are not. 2 person cabanas were $35 and then $15/lounge chair to put under the cabana and this fee was from 10am to 5pm so for day. There is also a $20 additonal person fee/day of your stay, regardless of age of the person, we are a family of 5 so even if you book as a 4 person occupancy, they require a wristband at the hotel and you will be charged. Our stay there was nice, but if the resort fee had of included those additional perks I mentioned at no charge, it would have been better.

Clean room but strong bleach smell made me ill. Many guests were drunk or high and knocking on my door at night. Someone came into my room while I was in the shower! Housekeeping is not supposed to enter. So I left in the morning.

Stayed in the very small efficiency room, but it worked fine for my husband and I. We didn’t do any cooking in the room. Everything was very clean and well kept. We would stay here again.

Great staff. Beach access was fabulous. Chris’s beachside bar was great for beers and sunsets. Pool was perfect. Reasonable beach umbrellas/cabanas.
