Nice family location

1 bedroom condo with queen sleeper sofa was spacious and clean. Right across one street to the beach. The area was quiet and safe. On-site management staff helps with any requests. Nice pool as well. Kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking pans. Close to some good restaurants.

Just note 2nd floor bad choice for stay due to inconsiderate others running, yelling, above apt & hallways & outside. Choose top 3rd floor because you can’t control others.

The office staff is amazing and attentive to your needs. I can not say enjoy about them: kind, friendly, and service oriented! The pool is heated and the individuals staying at Gulf Winds were extremely friendly. They were great company! The white beach and sunsets took your breath away. Our unit needed updating and work. The pipe under the sink broke and it flooded the kitchen floor twice. Also, a lot of broken floor tiles, and the bathroom sink (faucet handle) had green moss/mold under it.

St. Pete's Beach

Unit 105 has not been updated. The bathroom was old and needed a deep clean. The entrance way was not picked up cleaned the 4 days we resided. The only reason we noticed is because the unit next door were smoking and leaving bags of trash outside their door, causing the area to smell. The location was beautiful ... small balcony overlooking gardens and beach across the street. Trade Winds - outdoor restaurant on the beach was steps away and open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee or a drink. We had a fabulous time despite the unit. We'd go back here again but ask for a different unit.

The front desk was ok, I asked for late stay and never received a ok, the housekeeping staff was not told of this and check out time they began to start yelling at us telling us and telling us to hurry up and get out! I’ve never experienced such a horrible situation in my stays in Florida! I will never stay there again and will never recommend this place to anyone else

The front desk manager is very pleasant and provided great information for us to have a great time in the area. It’s an excellent location close to the beach and many amenities.

The unit we stayed in has very very outdated furniture to the point that it had yellowish stains so it wasn’t very comfortable to stay in.

Not bad, not the greatest.

Room was ready when we checked in at 1:30. Was a nice location (across from the beach; not a very busy area-mainly just parking for beach goers, so that was a plus) & we were on the 2nd floor above the pool (room 1103), so actually had a view of the ocean. Room was clean, but very out dated. There was mold around the tub & on the floor. What im considering the master bedroom had a king size bed, but also a twin bed in it; the other bedroom was smaller & only had a queen, so we put our 3 kids in the master bedroom & hubby & i had to share the queen bed (when used to a king @ home, rather tight quarters). And very few electrical outlets! Having 2 phones, 4 ipads, & 2 noise makers that needed to be plugged in, wasn't always easy to find an outlet close by. As with any condo, remember you need to bring your own paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, ect. as they only supply you with 1 roll/bag. Washers on site, but also what house keeping uses when their cleaning rooms, so I found it best to do laundry later in the evening (6ish). And their Wi-Fi never worked! It was full bars, but lagged horribly! We just used our data for everything. Probably wouldn't stay again.

I didn't like that Expedia didn't give me the available options for a reasonably priced room that was actually available. So I paid >$150 per day when half that was available. Also the rooms had things like light switches that didn't work. The shower wasn't in good shape.

The most disastrous vacation of my life

The first night the air conditioning did not work, we could not sleep, we notified it and they told us that for the next day, the next day they told us in the folder that they were the batteries of the control that was already solved the matter.
That night I work better but I do not lower to more than 78 the temperature, which for my menopausal woman was horrible. Third night the air made a ball of ice and an immense heat, we opened the windows and the noise of the street was unbearable. We could not sleep at all. We call 17276230260 and it seems that they had no immediate contact that could resolve the matter. Finally after a disrespectful wait we were notified that we would be reinstated
$ 100.00.25 in two payments one of $ 11.30 and the other one of $ 89.25 because according to them they did not sell me the lodging and they argued that they only earned one percent and deny that we reported twice the damage suffered that in fact I think with one time, if Respect was enough. Apart from the fee of $ 115.00 plus $ 14.95 of taxes that are $ 129.95 I think that due to the cleanup issue and at the end they told us that we should pick up and dump the trash or put a
surcharge more. I feel cheated and cheated and I consider it a fraud so I am managing with the fraud department to take charge of the matter.
I understand that this type of problems can happen but they must be responsible and have professionalism to solve it so that the client is as satisfied as possible,

Location was perfect! Pool was pristinely clean!! The condo we stayed in was a studio perfectly situated on first floor (unit 1201) steps from the pool, the beach and Paradise Grill. The interior had an \"old\" smell and was a little outdated, but overall was clean enough and worked well for our visit. Everything you could want or need within walking or bicycling distance. We would definitely stay again and are actually looking forward to returning regularly!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gulf Winds. The location was very convenient, it had a nice smaller feel than a big hotel or resort and the pool was a great temperature. Our room was done so cute and beachy too.

Wish there was maid service.

Nowhere in the booking did it say no maid service. The bed had no bedsread or blanket. We found a blanket in the closet and put it on ourselves. Had one small bar of soap for two people for four days.There also are no elevators.

Vacation at Gulf Winds

We happened upon Gulf Winds by chance and were pleasantly surprised. Teresa helped us register and could not have been anymore courteous and accommodating. Her relaxed and cheerful personality was a great start to our vacation! The resort is directly across the street from Upham Beach which has a concession stand, restrooms, and umbrellas for rental. The resort pool was clean and lighted till 10 PM. We could walk to many stores and restaurants. Every night we walked to the Twistee Treat for an ice cream to end the day. We had a one bedroom that was dated, but cute with a full kitchen. The AC and water worked well. We were responsible for emptying our own trash. Since we stayed only for 3 days we did not have to clean the room. We enjoyed ourselves and would go back to Gulf Winds again!

Nice Quiet Comfortable Getaway Resort

First the bad, we arrived @ 930pm, which I forwarned of when I made the reservation on hotels.com. The resort office was closed. I didn't know that this would be the case & that I would have to call a phone number, pay my resort fee over the phone, and get a combination to the lock box in order to retrieve condo keys, as I'm standing outside in the dark, with a shuttle driver just waiting to make sure I got in. A phone call and/or Email reguarding the after hours check in procedure should have been done. That being said we loved it there! My daughter & I had a Qn size one bedroom, living rm, kitchen, and it was beautifully decorated & very clean. There were also a lot of extras in the condo for use like beach chairs, toys, a duffle bag which we used on a daytrip up to Clearwater beach, and many other things, there was even a couple bottles of sunscreen which was good because I forgot to pack mine! Our unit was ground floor with a patio, directly across a non-busy street to the ocean. There is a nice snack shack right on the beach too. Note: they don't show any bathroom pics online so I was concerned but the bathroom was also very nice with a large tiled shower! We didn't rent a car as I had read everything was in walking distance. I'd say some things are...a few restaurants...no major grocery stores though. There are \"free\" taxis though where all you pay is a tip, which was great. The pool was nice, clean & quiet. It does require a code to get into the gate though.

Started off bad, finished decent.

We had a late flight and didn't get to the resort till late. They never sent me a code for the lockbox, which is used for late check-ins, so I had to call and get it. Once we were there, we got all the stuff we needed, and went looking for the room. It didn't tell us what building were in so we ended up driving around the building about six times trying to find our room. Once we found the room, it was very disappointing. It was disgusting. It looked like someone had just rolled out of bed and left. The bed had only a blanket and two of the pillows didn't have covers. There was random food in the fridge and a pot on the stove. There was hair EVERYWHERE. The bathroom was full of hair everywhere. There was hair all around the toilet and floor in general. There was a random pill on the floor, and when I went to pick it up to show my fiancé, I picked about 7 strands of hair with it. I didn't show her because I knew she would freak out! There was nobody at the front desk so we decided to sleep fully clothed and asked them about in the morning. She was very nice and told us it should not be like that. She said they would come clean it that day. We had to run back while they were cleaning to pick something up. The guy cleaning started questioning us about the room. I felt like he was blaming us for the mess. We just left and they did do a good job cleaning. So the rest of the stay there was ok. Just not how we wanted to start. And no refund for the first night.
