The room was clean and very spacious. The hotel is on the River Kwai, we had breakfast everyday overlooking the river. Quiet hotel, but very close to the hussle and bussle if you prefer that.

Charlee and her staff were as usual very polite, friendly and attentive. Super relaxed atmosphere in a fantastic position by the river. The hotel grounds are kept immaculately and rooms spotless. Amazing breakfast. They changes items everyday. Had both Western and Thai choices and egg station. Lots of exotic fruit selection too. Two amazing pool with lots of lounger. Room is spacious and clean.

Resort kind of atmosphere, sweet two pools with warm water, super friendly staff, breakfast more than adequate with hot and cold dishes, soup, fruits especially sweet mango. No problem with parking. Don’t expect high class service it’s not a 5 stars place. Hotel sitting on the riverside. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Deluxe River View room, the best room in the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The only fault we could find with the room was lack of storage. The 2 pools were lovely, they were quiet during the day when people were out on day trips. Staff were great. We give a special mention to the reception staff who advised us where to go for day trips which they easily arranged for us. The hotel is in a perfect location within easy reach of shops and restaurants/bars and close to Bridge over the River Kwai. This hotel is highly recommended.

Nice place along the river in town. Short tuk tuk ride to all of the sights in town and train station. Wi Fi is ok but only allows one device at a time to be logged in. Staff did provide extra login codes on request. TV did not work but not a big deal since we were not here to hang out in room and watch TV.

Beautiful property right on the River Kwai, a short walk (less then 1 Km) to the Bridge over the River Kwai. Also the excursion packages are really good. We did one with Ricky Ricky to Hellfire Pass and he was so excellent and knowledgeable.

We stayed there one night, and wished we stayed there longer. We took a tuk tuk to the
Thailand Burma Railway Centre and the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery War. We came back and ate at the Good Times Restaurant, which was excellent. We later took a swim at the beautiful and refreshing pool, then called it a night. The next day, we enjoyed a huge delicious buffet breakfast at the same restaurant. The staff was amazing, and deserve recognition for phenomenal service… thumbs up to the staff and resort. It was so good, we went back there twice to eat at the riverside and enjoy Good Times. Thank you! We would not hesitate to book here again!

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at this hotel. The first two nights we stayed in the river view room and it was gorgeous. There happened to be entertainment one of the nights which we watched from our huge terrace. We ate in the restaurant several times because the food was great, the price were very reasonable and the atmosphere right on the river with the fairy lights and river cruisers was lovely. Also the staff were super helpful answering my questions before we arrived. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The property felt very exclusive though it is located near shops and restaurants. The staff were remarkably attentive and the access from the AMAZINGLY charming rooms to the resturant/bar and pools was perfect. We had a fantastic room facing the river, with two of our own personal 'porches' one facing the river and another facing a pond. We also booked a tour through Good Times to visit Erawan, Hell Pass, etc. It left from the hotel and was also OUTSTANDING!! If we are ever back in Kanchanaburi we definitely plan to stay at Good Times again! Thank you

Good times resort was perfect for my 3 days in Kanchanaburi. Quiet and lovely with the pool, big rooms with amazing air conditioning. Breakfast was nice with variety and a lovely setting. Staff very helpful. I am a solo traveller and it was a perfect hotel and I would definitely stay there again. Close to most things to walk or bike.

If you’re coming to Kanchanaburi I highly reccomend this hotel. The breakfast is included and has a big variation. The staff are the nicest, so helpfull. We had some problem with booking tickets to Chiang Mai and they helped us but also the moment you arrive will take your lugagge. I don’t usually leave review but I had for this hotel. Bathroom is very clean, pool area is clean and restaurant also amazing. All with all a 5 star for them.

Our stay at The Good Times Resort was excellent.

The location is great, 1km from the Train Station, and around 1km from the River Kwai Bridge. Both easily walkable, althout Thai pavements never the best. 30bhat Taxi ride if you don't like walking.

Staff were all friendly and spoke good english.

Room was clean and spacious and well equipped. Bottled water and coffee/tea replaced every day.

Breakfast a highlight, a buffet with a good selection with a view of the River Kwai. You are right by the River.

Whilst I also recommend you try the local resturants outside, make sure you do take at least one evening meal in the hotel resturant. Evening view and atmosphere in the hotel resturant at night is fantastic. Plus prices very reasonable, food excellent and service good.

Highly recommend The Good Times Resort.

Very Nice Hotel Experience

Good Times is a very nice hotel/resort. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast included in the price was very good and good choice. Minor things include some cleaning of some doors (especially in bathroom on inside) and shower is very close to shelf - not sure why they put it so close. Also, could use some places (hooks) to hang things on the wall like jacket and provide extra small table especially in the larger rooms. I note these just to make things better. I would give 9 out of 10.

We recently stayed at the Good Times Resort. It is set by the river and has lovely views. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very hard, but that is a personal thing. However the staff sorted out a topper for me which solved the problem. On a picky note the TV could have had an English channel. Breakfast had a great selection , with a choice of Thai and western food. As always the hot food could have been hotter but the eggs were cooked to choice. The reception staff were friendly and always ready to help.

Good Times Resort is nestled in a quiet spot just minutes from the main street and walking distance to the Bridge over the River Kwai. Lots of markets, cafes, restaurants and other city sights in the are. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be had right at the river's edge.

Really lovely, helpful staff at this hotel. We arrived early to ask if we could leave luggage there until later when we checked in but the receptionist was more than happy to see if our room was ready, which it was. The restaurant is in a great location on the waterside. The food was delicious and well priced. Reception staff were also great at helping us negotiate our way around the area and organised taxis etc for us. This has been one of the nicest small hotels we've stayed in for a while, and I can thoroughly recommend a stay here!

The staff here were fantastic , the pool was nice enough , the room was cute but beds are really hard . The restaurant is along the river & it was stunning . The food was good . Kanchanaburi is such a cute spot with lots of little bars & restaurants . We only spent 2 days here but we wished we had more ! We took the public bus right to Erawan falls & it was a great day !!

Amazing value hotel with good sized private pool, excellent restaurant and on the river. Rooms are basic and clean. Best bit is that the same owner runs the local tours around Kanchanaburi and Hellfire Pass at excellent value so it’s a one stop shop for your entire stay in this region.

I had a lovely time. This hotel was perfect. They had an amazing view of the river and a good restaurant. They speak English which was very helpful. I also loved the pool and easy access to the town and attractions such as temples and elephant haven. They were very helpful in getting us taxis for our trips to visit the temples and making sure we had notified our tour guides of the hotel we were staying at. Great location.

We loved our stay nothing was a bother to staff they were very obliging. We enjoyed the pool it was a good size swimable the ponds were lovely huge fish. The restaurant serves god food and staff again lovely.

The excursions were good we did one private because of a different requirement they got a good price and one group. I would recommend to anyone single couple or family.

This hotel has figured it out - it’s beautiful and the restaurant looks out over the river. A drying rack is provided as are robes and slippers. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of Asian food and classic western breakfast fare. You can take your pool towels offsite if you go on a tour. They have a tuk tuk driver who will take you into town for a set rate. The staff are excellent. It’s a 4 minute walk from 7-Eleven. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. I wish we had stayed longer.

Great location, great staff, nice clean room.

The Good Times Resort is in a convenient location. It's within walking distance to the bridge and markets. The excellent restaurant is right on the river. Food prices are very good and the food is great. The large rooms are clean and well kept. The beds are firm like most Thai beds. The bathrooms are very nice and included everything we might need. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were situated in the front of the complex. Our only minor issue was that where our rooms were located we had to keep the bathroom door shut at night because the parking lot was behind our room and the noise could easily be hear through the bathroom wall vent. The hotel grounds are beautiful and maintained well. Overall the Good Times Resort was a great option for us in Kanchanaburi.

Great experience from check in to check out. Staff was very friendly and helpful even having to deal with me bringing my phone to them many times and having them connect my Wi-Fi.. My wife and I enjoyed the morning breakfast being able to dine in comfort sitting next to the river and the staff was very helpful in setting up 1 day tour to Erawan Falls which we enjoyed so much..

Easy option for hassle-free trip

Easy convenience to book their full day tours at the hotel reception. ( though could be better if extended to 6pm to allow more time at the death railway) The good times travel agency is actually down the street. The place is a little inside a lane but away from street noise. Small rectangular pool, eating place facing the river where you will see the boats speeding by. Room facilities very thoughtful and complete with hairdryer, umbrellas, coffee facilities, fridge , slippers etc.

Lovely little 2-story hotel, clean, nice courtyard, in a great location close to the main street. Beautiful surroundings, excellent restaurant for both breakfast (included) and dinner - great food at very reasonable prices. Staff were very helpful with directions, local information, pick-up for our excursion and helping arrange our misplaced luggage to be delivered to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

The welcome was very nice. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful when we asked questions about the local area, tours and transport.
The room was large and spacious. It wasn't ultra modern so it had character to it. The aircon was fairly weak, but it is only minor setback.
The restaurant is lovely, with great views (except for the current building works), a decent breakfast and excellent lunch and dinner menus.

Good times at the Good Times

The resort itself is in a beautiful location and has a riverside restaurant. It is not in the middle of town but plenty of small shops, bars and restaurants around. The staff are marvellous, very helpful and attentive and the breakfast buffet is good. The hotel is a little dated but as we left was undergoing renovation. It is very clean and we considered good value for money. They just fell into the trap of many hotels though, family room for 3 people had only 2 chairs on the balcony, but all in all a very small point in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Lovely resort

Clean hotel by the river,beautiful grounds, very clean rooms. Breakfast plentiful. Swimming pool was clean and refreshing but shades of you're looking to suntan. no free hotel transport given but cheap enough to get around. Loved everything no complaints

Wonderful stay!

Fabulous resort with a beautiful setting right on the River. What really makes this a wonderful resort is the staff who are so accommodating, friendly and great fun. We have a fanstastic five night stay.

Lovely hotel in pleasant grounds

The room was clean and spacious. Nice comfortable bed. My only criticism is that the water pressure from the shower was not great.

Wonderful stay

This little oasis is tucked down a side street located straight onto the river with excellent facilities and restaurant. It's excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

Oasis in town

Arrived to an upgraded room fronting river. All staff always friendly and very accomodating. Listened to our itinerary and organised transport for us. Restaurant food and staff also great. Wish we could've stayed longer.
