This hotel is an absolute dump. It was dirty, the heat in the room did not work, there we hundreds of ants in the room, the window would not close or lock, there were holes in the wall, the TV didn’t work properly, they were working on the room above ours all night, so we could not sleep and the lists goes on. We explained to staff why we were checking out after one night and Expedia was kind enough to attempt to get our deposit refunded but the property refused!! It was the worst hotel I’ve stay at in my life.

Room is clean, staff very friendly. AC heat works very well with in winter. There's a bus stop immediately outside, and many fast food restaurants, a Walgreens, and a gas station within walking distance. Food and drink vending inside hotel, pricing a bit on the higher side but acceptable for quick snacks.

Room was not very clean. I opened the microwave and found food in it. I opened the fridge and found cans of beer. Room key machine broke, so I had no room key. I had to leave door open if I went out. Walls are thin. The motel was supposed to be remodeled, but a lot of rooms have not been updated, including my room. Washer and dryer were out of order, but they were also not working almost a year ago when I last stayed here. I will never stay here again. I advise no one to stay here. You can't even lock your door, when you go out. Just terrible!

There was no key to our room. the staff person had to walk us to the room and let us in, and if we all leave we needed staff to let us in again. the room was dirty. the bedding was as thin as a sheet. the bedding was stained, and there was fresh blood drops in the sheets. the sheets didn’t fit the bed. the outside door to the building weren’t closed so anyone could walk in.

There are bums sleeping in the corner of the parking lot. Cars sitting with the tires stripped off. Night life in the parking lot. Not clean at all. I wouldn't even check in. Just don't waste your time. Someone couldn't pay ME to stay here.

My request for an accessible room near an exit door to the parking lot was met (1st room down the hall).
There was suppose to be breakfast, but the only thing I found was a coffee maker (the coffee was terrible).
As far as staff, there was a man at the desk when I arrived (he wasn't very pleasant, but he did check me in), otherwise I didn't see anyone at the desk. I believe I did see this same man later with another man and it appeared they were doing some type of renovations. There was a strong chemical odor coming from the room when they opened the door. I thought they were quite rude, as they didn't acknowledge me and were speaking in a foreign language.
I was not sure how safe the property was. Outside the next entrance down there were several people with a large dog just hanging around the door every time I went out to my car.
Overall, I would say if you just need a place to sleep for one night at a low price, it is probably okay.

Very nice room, ran hvac at night great white noise! Access door to parking lot—broken lock, didn’t feel safe. Otherwise everything was good, much nicer interior than most Motel 6 properties. Bed was super comfortable!

There may be worse places to stay, but I’m doubtful. Unclean rooms, blankets that look like they are 30 years old from the stains and holes, paper thin walls, etc. I just needed a place to stay on a busy weekend in Eau Claire, and I should have know better given the price relative to other hotels. You get what you paid for I guess, but I wouldn’t stay here again if it was even free,

Check in was fine. Smokers standing at the entrance by our room. We can hear the people standing outside and either next door or below us. There is no remote for the tv. Front desk staff said they think the guy from the night before stole it and they don’t have a replacement for it as it is the only tv that is different from the other TVs in the hotel. Carpet in the stairwells needs to be vacuumed and shelves need to be dusted. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls in our room. Low cost hotel - you get what you pay for I guess.

It was easy to get to this motel, and close to gas stations. Staff were barely present. The parking lot looked unclean, with litter and potholes and vulgar graffiti. The room looked run-down, with one light switch not appearing to work and a wall outlet missing any sort of stabilizing plate in front of it. The mattress was fine, but my pillow was the flattest I'd ever seen in a hotel. I had to fold it double to get it to a reasonable thickness. The fridge / freezer worked properly, though, which we needed.

The hotel staff knock on your door all morning long to get you to check out asap. So weird getting non stop knocks from 8am on when I called and requested late check out, the calls did not stop. This is what we get for allowing other countries citizens to purchase all of our properties.

Best economy motel in Eau Claire

I've stayed at almost every no-frills motel in Eau Claire (I live in the Northwoods and do my stock up shopping in EC), and this one was the best. Perfect...no. It needs some work, but you can see the effort they are putting into it. Live plants inside, landscaping, clean, quiet. I watched one of the staff outside weeding and caring for flowers, and for the indoor plants which had been brought out, and it was clear the pride the motel takes in it's appearance.
I stayed on the hottest day of the year and the AC was amazing! I loved that my dog was able to stay with me, no fuss at all. I didn't ask much of staff, but they were swift to respond.
If you are looking for a manned front desk to cater to your needs, free breakfast, and a pool, this place isn't for you (but if you were looking for that you probably shouldn't be looking at economy lodging). However the, if you're looking for somewhere clean, quiet, safe, and unbelievably cheap, you've hit the jackpot!

Ac didn’t work 1/2 the time it blew warm air. Room had no fridge or microwave. Image for room showed whirl pool tub in the suite we booked but it didn’t have one.
Over all was very disappointing. The hallways smelled terribly. The room was clean for the most part. The bathroom fan was incredibly loud! And open inside the ceiling where it was creepy and dirty. There was 1/4 roll of tp in total in the room. Bed was comfy and newer but had no mattress cover on under the sheets. There was no coffee pot in the room. The pictures of the lobby are not of this location. The breakfast nook has a coffee machine and microwave and no ac. The meeting room shown is a gambling room now. There were many transient types with black garbage bags sitting in the entry way. Seemed like many foreign people were living in the establishment.

Pink mold on the shower head, cobwebs above the bed, broken tv remote that didn’t work, the bed was damp and covered in long black hairs, and the floors were very dirty. Did not feel safe or clean here and will never stay here again. I will tell anyone who will listen how bad this experience was

The ONLY reason this is getting 2 stars is because the gentleman who checked us in was incredibly inviting and friendly. No staff around at night. Called and waited TWICE for them to get the people above us to stop stomping and running around at midnight, to no avail.

Room was absolutely DISGUSTING. Floors were not vacuumed, hair in the bathroom, sink was cracked, stains on the walls and floor, cobwebs in every corner, rancid smell in the air…just gross. A/C didn’t work. Blew cold air for 15 minutes before it started blowing hot air. No secure doors, all of them were unlocked for anyone to walk in. Clearly people living there because it was constant chatter all night. The whole experience was terrible. I wish I would have done my research a little better and stayed somewhere cleaner.

$30 a night?? For sure. $76 a night and even more expensive on the weekends?? Unbelievable. The place is a dump. The pictures on the site are a lie. I’m sorry it’s brutal but I’ve stayed in MANY hotels for the same price and they were multitudes better.

We gave this hotel two chances, but I will not stay here again. Both times, they assigned us a room upstairs, even though I had informed them that I needed a ground-floor room because I use a wheelchair.

During our most recent visit, we stopped by before check-in to remind them of my request. However, when we returned later that night, the staff member told us there were no ground-level rooms available. He offered to help us upstairs to our room, but we explained that we could not do that, regardless of assistance.

He then mentioned there was a ground-level room, but the air conditioner wasn't working. We didn't mind about the AC; we just wanted a place to sleep. He insisted that we consider the upstairs room again, but we declined. After checking his computer one last time, he found a double bed on the ground level, which we accepted since we only needed a place to rest.

Unfortunately, our room was located at the back of the motel and required navigating a set of stairs, though there was a small ramp to assist me. My wheelchair barely fit on it, making it a bit scary, but thankfully I was too tired to care.

The room itself was dirty and not well maintained. The bed needs to be replaced, but I believe they are planning renovations and our room is on the list. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for anyone with mobility issues.

Potential to become better over time

The room was quite clean, the bed was so comfortable that even my arthritic back was happy with it. The owner/operators were very polite and helpful.

They took a $50 deposit, and I can understand why. The place looks like it’s been badly neglected for a long time; I hope it’s in the possession of a family intent on fixing it up, and if that’s the case, I can see some progress.

When I arrived the place was nearly empty, and those people who were there had the look of people far, far down on their luck. The deposit makes sense in light of the sort of damaged that might happen with people struggling with many issues. I did get my deposit back, of course.

The room was in decent shape, functionally. There was a strip of decorative wall-tile torn off from around the sink, there were scratches on a number of places on the paint, and several more significant gouges into the wall (see above, types of residents).

I wasn’t pleased with the door lock or condition of the door itself, but had no problems with security; it just didn’t look all that sturdy.

If this place was purchased recently, then it looks to me like they’re working on improving it. If it’s 2026 and someone reads this, tries the place out, and it still looks just as beat-up, that’s another matter. I wish them luck.

Walked in to other guests stating there was a \"unbearable smell\" in their room & would like to switch rooms. Originally worker stated he couldn't, then somehow found a room.
Moving onto our room, there was dust built up on where you insert your key card, just to enter the room, so needless to say, that should have said it all... the wall as you walked in, where the sink was, unfinished with pieces of the wall punctured & peeling off the wall. The wallpaper was peeling from the ceiling and EVERY seam there was, as well as cracks throughout the walls. The headboard was cracked, sheets didn't even fit the one bed & there were stains all over the \"clean\" sheets. Soap scum was built up in the tub & unfortunately our 1 year old, put his fingers on the faucet for the bath & pulled out a chunk of freaking build up! The floors hadn't been cleaned in, who knows how long, as I took one of the towels with warm water to wipe the floors quickly; just to end up with a brown/ black towel. The ac/heater also needed to be turned on by an old fashioned thermostat, to which it immediately stopped working to notify us that the filter needed to be cleaned/replaced. We also had a wonderful visit from the front desk attendant starting our infant was being \"too noisy\" while we could hear the base from other rooms... this is the 2nd worst place I've stayed. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I didn’t get the hot tub room I booked. When I asked about it I was told there wasn’t one. No housekeeping. Lots of slamming of doors all hours. Had a lady who was staying there yell at my dog she was definitely on something. I’m super angry I paid for a hot tub room and just got a normal room. Never again will I stay here. And I stay places twice a month.
