After my second stay here, I'm even more of a fan. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are impeccable, super clean. The decor is fresh, modern and cheerful. The Brits are fearless in their approach to mixing patterns, textures etc. and that is very much the case here with excellent results. The sitting rooms are inviting, and make a nice place to work using the free wi-fi. The breakfast is fantastic with a large and varied selection. Service is prompt and thoughtful. The bar is lively at night. The neighborhood has many restaurants and coffee spots. I'll be back soon.

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel and it is my new favorite in London. The staff are absolutely amazing, attentive to every detail, kind and courteous, and simply lovely to interact with. There is so much attention paid to the details in this hotel, and the level of effort makes for a memorable experience. The rooms are a haven, unusually quiet in the middle of the city, thoughtfully designed and decorated. The mini bar is top quality and the honesty bar on the ground floor of the hotel is a real treat. I enjoyed breakfast at Oscar very much and can highly recommend the lobster benedict. The avocado on toast and omelets could use some more seasoning, but the poached eggs were right on the mark. And finally, a luxury hotel bar that feels cozy and welcoming, offers loads of choice for drinks, a nice range of snacks, and doesn’t make me pay a premium to be there! I didn’t want to leave the hotel! Well done to the entire team that make this hotel one of a kind!

The Charlotte Street Hotel is dreamy!
Like all the Firmdale Hotels I have stayed in, the Charlotte St is divine. The cozy, warm atmosphere, superior design and art works displayed everywhere, and incredible helpfulness of the staff are all top notch. You can't do any better than stay at one of these hotels. The Charlotte St is particularly well-located and perfect for walking around London. I can't recommend it more.

I love Kit Kemp's interior design and was delighted to stay at the Charlotte St Hotel. It entirely lived up to my very high expectations, with one exception. The bar area and restaurant were very busy and noisy on each evening of our two-night stay. It was very hard to hear each other in the restaurant (we are both just over 70), so the first night we went down the street to another restaurant. The next night, it was again noisy, so the very helpful staff suggested we eat in the drawing room. There were a few other hotel guests there, but it was quiet and we enjoyed an excellent meal in front of the fire in that lovely room. I cannot fault Charlotte St Hotel in any other respect. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the hotel is extremely comfortable, and the decor is superb.

It was good except our floor was being renovated and they couldn't accommodate us except over the noisy restaurant as an alternative. Location was great and the room itself was nice. Just loud listening to the workers outside our room each morning and the intense aroma of paint/paint removal was overwhelming.

Excellent staff and service! Very beautiful and high-end room decoration and appointments. Excellent amenities, especially for the bathroom..Excellent bedding (down comforter & feather pillows), though personally I prefer the comforter not tucked in at the bottom, and I found the blanket on top of the comforter superfluous. And though I put two extra pillows in the closet, the maid put them back on my bed (why can't maids leave things arranged the way guests prefer?). Excellent blackout curtains, but they they unfortunately don't close entirely. The lighting at the bathroom mirror could be better, and a handheld shower in the shower stall would be helpful. Though room service is fast, I missed having a coffee machine in the room or hot water kettle to make instant coffee, especially since the room service pot of coffee gets cold fast. .

Visited London for business and pleasure for three days in April, and stayed at the Charlotte Street Hotel. This was my second time at this hotel. The facilities are immaculate. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well designed, and a pleasure to stay in. The bathrooms are similarly well-proportioned and tasteful and everything functions as it should.

We stayed here on last two nights of our honeymoon after our African Safari. The hotel was in a great neighborhood with a local, non touristy feel. Very convenient and close to the underground. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for our anniversary. The room was spacious and clean. There were special extras provided like yummy brownies on the last night. The staff friendly. We ate several meals at Oscars and enjoyed them all.

Beautifully appointed hotel in a funky neighborhood, within walking distance of transportation and great restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in making dinner reservations at an incredible Indian restaurant, the best we've ever been to. The room itself was gorgeous. Enthusiastically recommended.

We stayed in a Loft at the Charlotte Street Hotel for a week in early May, 2015. We could have stayed a little bit closer to the sights in central London, but I preferred this location--the sights were very easy to get to via short bus & Underground rides (after a <10 minute walk), but the neighborhood itself (Fitzrovia) and surrounding walkable areas (Soho, Marylebone, etc.) meant we could fill our \"down time\" walking around the neighborhood.
The Loft was very comfortable. We stayed in 109 (on the \"first floor,\" but for Americans it's the second floor), which overlooks the smaller street (Rathbone) instead of the much busier Charlotte Street in the front. I'm fairly sensitive to noise and had asked for a quieter room, and this turned out to be a good room for it. When we first arrived I saw a crowd gathered at the Newman Arms pub across the street and was worried it meant loud crowds into the early morning, but the double windows really kept out the noise. It turned out the pub seemed to die down fairly early most nights anyway.
Some noise from other rooms filter in (you can hear the people above walking around), but far less than most hotels I have been in.
We somehow ended up with complimentary breakfast in the onsite restaurant (with a full, made-to-order menu), and it was pretty good. They even prepared a take-away breakfast for us to enjoy in a park one morning.

Cool and classy in a very hip spot
We have stayed at this property 4 times now and each visit is more special. From the note welcoming us back to the working fireplace to each rooms's unique decor, the Charlotte street is a treat each visit.
This visit was a standout: our room was ready as soon as we arrived in the late morning, the modern yet classy black and white theme of the room, and the welcoming vibe of the doormen were a reminder of why we love love love it here.

You can't get a better balance of location, charm, service and comfort Ln London than the Charlotte. Close to the theatres but in a quite area of SOHO where the locals hang at their favorite pub and the shops are unique. Lots of very good restaurants close by too.
The Charlotte has all of the attributes of other Firmdale hotels; very comfortable beds, great décor, superb staff, a great breakfast and cozy nooks to rest, visit or read.

Good staff, especially Cathy, who was amazing, looked after us from the moment we arrived and managed to get us into our favourite restaurants at short notice. Bar / Restaurant very overpriced, even for London, a bottle of beer over £6 then they add a service charge of 63p on top of that, but plenty of places close by to eat and drink with much better food.
