Room was in good condition, the staff was courteous. I booked an oceanfront room for the ocean view, but there were storm panels on the balcony obstructing the view. My visit was in February, so I understand the need for the storm panels, but it did not say anything about this in the listing.
The room could have used a coffee table by the couch.

The recent renovations are a good improvement from what they offered before. Room for improvement : TV had bad picture quality and there was not one rug in the king deluxe room. Little things like that make a big difference in comfort and appeal. Breakfast was slightly lacking options. Staff was courteous.

Beds were comfortable, check in was easy, view was wonderful, bathroom was a bit dirty but the room itself was clean overall. Could use some attention to details in terms of cleaning thoroughness but that could be fixed. The breakfast was minimal but had coffee which is all I wanted for the morning. Adding bananas and peanut butter would be nice. We were given the best room, corner room with no neighbors so it was very quiet, much appreciated. Parking was easy. Not sure if we would stay again but it was nice. View was the best part. I’d opt for a balcony next time

It is an ok place. Nice and comfortable beds and sheets. The towels are pretty rough and not soft at all.
This is my second time staying there, So obviously two different rooms. The showers are very weird. More like a bathroom faucet with a shower head sticking out of the bottom of the faucet. The pressure is weak too.
Both times I have been there, the pool and the hot tub have brownish rings around the sides, I would never step foot in either one. The breakfast is simple and easy. I would love it if they had hard boiled eggs or something like that. But it is still all free. The staff had always been great.

Room was clean, the building is quaint and like an old beach house. Only stairs to upstairs rooms. Breakfast was basic but better than nothing. The lounge wasn’t open during my stay which I was excited to try. Right on the water and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.

The place is in a great location, on the water/beach and 5 mins from my family, so that's the good. Despite their massive renovations, it's still rough around the edges. The bed itself was comfy, but the bedding smelled too strongly of bleach and blanket old and thin. Room was clean, but water didn't drain well in shower and we didn't get the walk out patio as was in the photos - the units closest to the breakwall had the walkouts removed, so just double check if you have heart set on walking out to the sand directly from room. Check in staff was nice and friendly. PRice is very decent, but again, it still feels dated in spots like hallways.

The staff could have been kinder and more professional. My husband had stitches on his elbow and while he was sleeping he bled through the dressing and a small amount got on the sheets which I personally took off the bed. We were treated like dirty animals. The situation was bad enough. Don’t hotels use bleach to clean their sheets? Woman have periods, people get hurt. This was absolutely unacceptable. What’s even WORSE is I love the area and it’s a beautiful night so I was going to book it for tonight. They told me I couldn’t book at their hotel because my husband’s wound opened up and he had to go to the hospital again. This staff is very unkind and inconsiderate. I am a nurse and have never heard of something like this happening. Kindness is Everything and that is not present at this property!

This was very much a room for a night. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but the room was very basic and the internet was patchy at best.

The breakfast was fine if a little limited and basic.

The staff were polite and helpful.

All on all, a fine stay for a night but nothing to write home about as you'd probably expect

The hotel was pretty basic, but honestly, it could use quite a bit of updating. There’s noticeable wear and tear throughout the property, and it felt a bit dirty. Being right on the ocean, I understand the challenges with moisture and upkeep, but there were several spots on the floor that felt damp and even spongy when walking on them. At times it felt a little unsafe and uncomfortable.

This place could really use some updating — not only for the visual and aesthetic feel, but also because certain areas just don’t feel very safe. What I mean by that is some of the floors felt spongy, almost like you were walking on a trampoline in spots, even up on the deck.

The staff were very nice and understanding, and I do appreciate that. I grew up in New England, so I get that beach hotels can take a beating from the salt air — but this one could really benefit from a proper refresh. It’s in a great location, but the rooms are very dated and could use some attention.

I love this hotel! How can you go wrong when you’re overlooking the ocean?
My room was in the newly renovated side and it was beautiful!

Breakfast is very simple; make your own waffles, some cereal and breads, etc.

The indoor pool / hot tub - you can’t miss it! Even if it’s a thousand degrees outside and the ocean is screaming your name, give the hot tub a try.

When we checked in I used the public bathroom in the lobby. That smelled heavy of urine. The lobby smelled like it was just sprayed down with some fragrance spray. I should have known then how the rest was gonna go.
Our room had a weird smell I can’t even describe it. There were dead gnat looking bugs in the window. The window was so water marked up you can’t even hardly see the bay. You might as well not even get a shower. The shower head just sprays one stream out. The bathroom light/fan combo was so loud we just used the heat light for a light when in the bathroom. The beds were not comfortable. You hear very sound in the hall. Slamming doors and people above us sounded like they were coming thru the ceiling everytime they walked. Hardly slept because of every sound you hear. You can see light thru the room doorframe. I will not be staying here again.

The hotel itself is honestly nothing to write home about. It reminds me of a motel 6, so if you want a resort style stay, this is not it.

That being said, the reason to stay is the view. Get a ocean side view and you won't be disappointed (probably ask for a second floor if you can). The beach is accessible during low and mid tide. It is completely hidden during high tide but you still hear the waves and see it crashing into the rocks. There is a public part of the beach right next to it.

I'd stay here again.

Renovations added really nice upgrade to rooms. Unfortunately, there was a lot of renovation and remodeling going on at the property, and there was a lot of furniture and mattresses in the walking areas. Caused an eyesore. But, that view is amazing. Get a room with an ocean view!! I’m thankful that this hotel is a little less expensive than others because it gives less wealthy people a chance to have a beach vacation. Pool and hot tub were great too!

The room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the water below. There was no closet or place to hang clothes, which meant we had to hang our clothes over a chair. There was space for a bar to be hung for clothes, but nothing was there. A small table with chairs for enjoying a snack or using the laptop would have improved the space quite a bit.

I loved staying here. The view of the bay from our room was amazing. Loved the private beach. They have a bar and grill with a live band on Saturday night. There are nice wooden beach chairs outside the rooms to enjoy the beautiful weather. The parking lot was full and had to wait for someone to pull out to get a parking spot. Checking in/out was very quick and easy.
