This motel is simply too close to the freeway. That, combined with windows and doors that aren’t particularly well sealed, means that road noise makes it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep. (Some rooms on the other side of the building may be marginally better, but they won’t be good). My noise canceling headphones helped, but they shouldn’t be necessary.

If that weren’t enough, the AC wasn’t functional and it gets HOT in central CA.

I've been in better hotels - I've been in worse. I rate this one above adequate. It's no frills and extremely affordable and very conveniently located. The overnight front desk guy was very accommodating. I will stay there again.

It took us over 30 mins to check in finally get our room keys and 1of them doesn’t work so the guy had to give us another room and the key wouldn’t work so we didn’t get a key and when we would leave the room we have to go tot he office to be let back on our room. Very inconvenient

Check in was wonderful; pleasant person, quick, easy and we were given a room at the back away from the highway noise. Room was relatively clean (freshly painted, but showing its age). Surprisingly quiet. Check out was a simple matter of turning in the key, but the staff was very pleasant, even though it was very early.

He’s stalking us for over 90 minutes can’t tell if he’s a cop or what but I have pictures of him with a special camera inside of my car.
You should send sheriff dept asap
My friend Charlie you could have a gun cuz his motorcycle on now, he’s opposite him now, but someone above in the crawl space keep making noise crawling around us here.

Theres getting what you paid for and then theres this.

Had to call 3 times for an answer to make sure Id have a room to check into after midnight. My non-smoking room had an ash tray in it. The walls were stained were something, the cover had several burns holes and room 224 has seen some ish.

I wasnt expecting the Ritz but I wasnt able to sleep becauae the smells.

I thought i was booking foe the night, but via expedia, if you book after normal checkin, expedia site automatically sets the checkin date for the next day. Expedia staff contact the site staff to cancel but they said they couldnt at that time, and would do it next day. I was assired by site staff Norman & even the morning staff, but they lied and didnt cancel before myaccount was charged. I have tried to contact them but their 'systems are down' so conveniently on their part.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT DISHONEST SERVICE FROM THE STAFF!!!

The room was clean, except the showerhead was totally rusted at the base. Underneath the sink in the bathroom needs to be repaired and the light by the bed did not work. It needed the bulb to be replaced. There was no coffee pot or microwave. The hot water took a long time to get hot and then it almost scolded me. There was an old hamburger left in the refrigerator from McDonald’s and the truck traffic noise all night was like sleeping on the side of the freeway.

The staff was nice. My number 1 low rating was because of the bed. The bed should be trashed. Major broken down sides. The ice machine has not worked for 3 days the manager said. Only 1 set of towels. Homeless man on other side of driveway opening. I gave the eldery man food. Super noisy ( freeway and i could hear the room next door talking. Tv great. Table and chairs great. Fridge great. No microwave. Coffee in am in office was great. Pool hasn't been in operation for a long time. Some grass areas need to be mowed. 2 feet high.

The pool is bone dry and awaiting maintenance or refurbishment...non-usable area for guests.
The mattress in my room should have been changed out years ago. It was old, tired and worn out. There was a concave depression in it that made laying or sitting there uncomfortable.
My room was in the section closest to the freeway.
The freeway is right next door! The traffic noise is very loud. If you run your AC fan all night you can drown out the traffic (even Hwy 5 calms down to very little traffic after 12 - 1 am).
The shower is a small little cubicle with a cloth curtain. It works fine...just very outdated.
When I entered the room, I was immediately greeted by the flies that had taken up residence in this room. I spent the next hour with a washrag as a swatter.
Every time I left for a while and then came back to the room, there were new flies to swat!
I rented this room over the internet and I based the choice upon location and the pictures provided. If I had seen the location while physically there in Santa Nella, this would not be my choice.

This was the worst place to stay I have ever experienced! The desk manager was very rude and disrespectful, also rooms reserved were not available and I had reserved a room a week in advance!! So many people rely upon reviews and all I have to say is Be Aware and stay away from this place find some place else more clean and safe. This place is not safe for your family and unsanitary!!

Didn’t feel like an $87 stay. It suited our purpose for hunting trip with hunting dog but beds, sheets and pillows definitely need upgrading. There were cuts and holes in the aged bedding including an old cigarette burn. I wish I had paid double for the hotel next to Andersen’s or a different place with better bedding. Otherwise clean room and dog friendly. Windows don’t have screens or open far. Maybe a safety issue but some fresh air would have been nice. They have a decent dog relief area near the front office but no poop bags in the box. We stayed on a Friday night and no issues with noise other than road noise being close to freeway exit.

A Well Managed Property

Asked for a ground floor room, away from street noise and we got it! This is a superior property, with good customer service. We'll stay here rather than properties further down the 5.
We've stopped staying at several Motel 6 properties (Carlsbad, Button Willow, Oceanside) because of bad treatment and maintenance issues. I always call to confirm a ground floor room, for we senior citizens, and when one of us gets there, they haven't honored the written or verbal request. Or their promise! And I get lies and inconsisten stories from staff. But, we'll book into this property again. Please take a lesson from the managers of this property and teach it to others.

Reserved room since I'm handicap I even confirmed with property management and they said not to worry that I would have a downstairs room and when I arrived for check in they gave my room to someone else. When finally got a room the Air Conditioner didn't not work mind u this is in summer time when temperatures are about 105 degrees. Lastly was expecting to go swimming and when arrived swimming pool was empty. So im never staying there again
