This is an older 2 story motel that at best is a 1 or 2 star property. The room was clean, although we had late night noise from the adjoining room. In sum, you get what you pay for.

My shower did not have any body wash or conditioner and I did not realize it until I was naked. I ended up just using shampoo for my body. The other thing, carpets need care and washing.

Don’t believe the negative reviews; room could have used a deep clean around the edges but overall was just fine. Pet friendly, room opened onto a grass courtyard that was well maintained and gave plenty of spots for our small dogs to explore. The biggest negative is that the phones at the front desk have not worked for a minimum of two weeks- tried contacting before our stay and after but unable to.

I didnt try the breakfast. The room was clean but needs some cosmetic updates. It had an odor that seemed to be coming from either the carpets or the drapes. The worst part of our overnight stay was the lack of hot water. I ran the water in both the shower and the sink for at least 10 minutes and their was never even a hint of warm water, let alone hot water.

We stayed here some 25-30 years ago. Not much has changed. We had trouble with the TV and sadly it took 3 tries to find a key that would work in our room (215). Finally we asked for another room. The Clerk who was helping us tried and tried, but just could not get the machine to work properly.

We have stayed at this property in the past because of its location, but likely will not stay again. On checkin, our room smelled slightly of cigarette smoke. We were offered another room, but it would not be on the first floor, which was necessary for mobility issues. Also, we had been driving for nearly 15 hours, so just wanted to get some rest.
We also were not able to get ice because both machines to which we were directed were not working - no ice! So, I had to walk to a nearby truck stop (Love's) to purchase ice ($2.99 + tax).
We did not go to the breakfast \"buffet,\" so I can't comment on that. But overall, the property - especially the area surrounding the pool - seemed poorly maintained.
Consequently, I will not stay there again, and would not recommend this property to other travelers.

The breakfast was top notch.
The front desk lady was very accommodating and friendly to place us next door to our grandchildren. The beds were also very comfortable. We would stay here again.
The hotel rooms could use some updating but as long as everything is clean, we felt comfortable.

Property is older and looks worn, but the bed in our room was comfortable and the room was clean.
Lots of truck noise from resting and overnight trucks at adjacent truck stop.
Great restaurant across the street with an extensive menu and breakfast. We chose to go there for breakfast.
Fine for the overnight during our road trip.

The room is clean. Limited amount of towels. Some little bugs crawling on the floor. Impressive refrigerator which actually keeps food cold. Working microwave. Entrance light dead. Shower water warm only, not hot at all; felt cold after shower. Broken remote control. Breakfast okay, not a lot of choices. Very, very, very rude staff at check out. Maid knocked on our door around 8:30 am to ask when we are going to leave when check out time is 11:00 am. Plenty of parking space.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The children in our group loved playing on the large grassy area by the pool. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a smallish roadside hotel. Even our vegan friends were able to eat a nice breakfast. This was a quick overnight stop on a longer trip. It was fine for what was needed.

When we arrived there weretwo other customers waiting at the front desk and they said no one was around and that they have been waiting for several minutes. Another customer showed up and then left after it became apparent no one was at the desk. After maybe another 10 minutes we realized there was a young woman in the back room sound asleep. We woke her up but she was very groggy. Five minutes later a young man arrived and he was the one who checked us in. This was about 10pm.

The room was infested with bugs who bit me all night. They did move us to another room. The Sunday morning around 8:45 all the breakfast was gone and eventhough it said that it ended at 9:00 they specifically said they were not going to refill. We did stay at another best western where the breakfast on Sunday morning ended at 10. We went out for breakfast. As diamond members we will never return to this motel.

First floor rooms with sliding patio doors right out to lawn.
Right off freeway and close to other fast food choices.

Cons: Right off the freeway, noisy (you won’t hear it in your room over the noisy AC)
Needs maintenance

Woke up by calling very early in the morning to see if the room was vacant or someone was in it. Told me that if they didn’t call they would have not known and would let a truck driver go into the room. Never offered any discounts especially being a silver member to great western. Then when check out was at 12 still sent the cleaning staff in at 10:30 am. I am still booked to go there on Sat but will not be happy.

The young lady checking us in was very nice. I fear for her safety. We checked in and paid at about 10pm,. Drove around back to find our room. Never found it. Didn't go into the room. Didn't get it of the car. Several men loitering around back, appeared to be looking for victims. Just drive away, 5 hours into the night to get home. Not a safe place to stay.

This is a nice stop off on the wsy up this batren stretch of I-5. The garden and popl area are lovely and thebroom was very nice. Especially the deluxe walk-in shower. Saff was friendly and helpful and sent someone to my room immediately when the TV wasn't workiing and fixed the cable issue.

you can tell it used to be a nice hotel. its a shame most Best westerns are in this condition.. Thought it was chain wide till I stayed at one in New Albany Mississippi and found one that was top notch like the old days.

They really need to renovate these old best westerns and bring back the good name of the franchise

We stayed one night, just off the 5, before heading south to Los Angeles. Our room was surprisingly large, with two queen-size beds and a very large TV set. Breakfast included scrambled egg, sausage and waffles. The large swimming pool looked inviting, but we didn't have time. Too bad!

Room had musty smell. There were dead bugs lining the wall. There was a long black hair in the bathroom sink. The shower door was difficult to open. The shower only had hot water. There were tears in the bed comforter. There were divots in the bed. We checked in late and got the last bedroom with two beds. There were no rooms to move with two beds.
When brought to the attention of management, they said they would get back to us. We have yet to hear from them.

The place is not clean. The phones did not work. No guard at night. The door jam had spacing where you could see out to the parking lot with the door closed. Bugs in the room got bit several times. No maid service. I left one day early. I will never go back. I hoped to get one day refunded but i was told they could not. I was on location for work for the week. It's not a showing for the franchise.

Perfect stop for a long road trip!

Our hotel was clean and conveniently located to Pea Soup Andersen Restaurant. There were green areas for us to walk our dog. Our room was quiet. The only difficulty was when we were checking in… Hotels.com did not have an area for us to include our dog in the original reservation. So we needed to cancel the Hotels.com reservation and make a new booking at the hotel itself. Breakfast was great… eggs, bacon, yoghurt… not just carbs. We’ll be back to stay here again. And, the pool was very nice.

Good place for a travel stop over

The hotel is a quaint, historic location popular for Andersen’s Pea Soup restaurant. We had dinner there which was excellent. The room we stayed in was neat and clean however had a strong smell of cigarettes. We booked a non smoking room, but this room had clearly been used by smokers. The front desk was sympathetic but unfortunately no other room was available. They did send a maintenance person with air deodorizer which helped a little.
Overall not a bad place to stay, just could’ve been better.

Very friendly staff, reasonable price, good breakfast, clean bathroom and shower, good size room. My only negatives were that the room had a slight smoker smell, the light from the courtyard was shining under the curtains on the slider all night, and the carpet was pretty stained. For price and convenience, I’d stay here again.
