The grounds are nice, the room is spacious and clean. The lodge is about 20 ish minutes from the West gate entrance (route 120) of Yosemite. If going to Yosemite Valley get an early start to get parking. Once parked plan to take the shuttle around the park.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room and bathroom were. The outside is old and dated but kept well, but the inside has been updated and was lovely. The bed was comfortable. Our room had a fridge inside too. Our only problem was getting the heater to work in our room. Should have called maintenance before it got so late, so we had to pile on the clothes til morning, lesson learned.
This is a wonderful place to stay.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and it was about an hour and half drive to the Mist trail and about an hour to Mariposa Grove. Our only issue was there was screaming and shouting from neighboring rooms until about 2 am, making a bad nights rest before long hikes.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Drive to Yosemite is reasonable. Place was very quiet at night, and room was clean and A/C was nice and cool.

Our room was comfortable. Restaurant next door was handy. Our friends had trouble with the heat in their room, but ours was excellent. It is quite a way to Yosemite (50 mi? to Valley), but good alternative to expensive stay in the park.

We loved this hotel! The rooms were very spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. The location was close to Yosemite. The staff was so friendly. My granddaughter loved the playground and if it was warmer she would have gone in the pool! We will definitely come back!

We just seayed for two nights but will definitely return in the future. The grounds are lovely, the pool clean, the room was clean and neat. The adjacent restaurant is good.

The only complaint I have is spotty internet. It was after hours, so I didn’t bother the sraff. Still, if you need a solid wifi connection, you may want to try one of the more expensive alternatives nearby.

All in all, I loved the place. Recommended, with wifi caveat.

Rude staff.
I had to cancel the trip. Since I had made reservations through Hotels.com, I contacted Hotels.com to see if I can get a refund. Hotels.com representatives contacted Yosemite Westgate Lodge and told me later how rude the staff was. I called Yosemite Westgate Lodge by myself. Similar rude response. Good thing I didn't visit the place. You don't want to stay at the place where the staff clearly hate working there.

The shower kept backing up. Bathroom had mold on ceiling and walls. Room smelled musty and carpets can use a good deep cleaning. We had dinner at The Lucky Buck on our first night, food was cold, lacked flavor and overpriced. Recommend the 12 minute drive to Two Guys Pizza. Service was great and food was delicious.

$190 per night, but I think the price is unreasonably high. There are no obvious negatives about the hotel, but there are some obvious downsides.
On the positive side, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the bathroom is decent. The heater was moderately noisy, but it worked well.
On the negative side, the soundproofing was very poor; I could hear absolutely everything that was said and happening in the next room, even though they weren't speaking loudly. The refrigerator was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep; I had to turn it off. The chair in the room was covered in old dirt stains; I didn't want to put my clothes on them. In fact, they charged me $190 for the night and then $150 and $30 upon check-in. The next day, they refunded the $150, bringing the total to $190 + $30. I don't understand why, but I didn't bother looking into it.

The rooms condition was good. About the same as any other travel hotel. The problem was the thermostat. They are so into savings, the thermostat turns off everything after a super short period of non-movement. Which of course turns off the fan and the AC or heater. The controls for it are also awful. If you need white noise to sleep, stay somewhere else or bring your own.

We arrived two hours before check-in time, which was 4pm, and the room was not ready, so we left for a few hours and came back after dinner. The room was kind of warm, so we turned down the air conditioning, which seemed like it was working fine; the air from the fan was cool. We woke up a few times because it was warm again, so we adjusted the temperature mechanism. By about 11:30 at night, it was 80 degrees and extremely uncomfortable. We did not get a great nights sleep! We had to be on the road very early the next morning, as it's a long ride to the actual park in Yosemite

On the main highway into the Big Oak Flat entrance for Yosemite NP so well located for getting into the park. Our room was modern, comfortable and well equipped. There is no dining on site however the Lucky Buck cafe right next door served us well for breakfasts and dinners
