We stayed here for one night so we could attend a concert downtown. We got there super early and was allowed to check-in for a minimal fee. The man at the front desk was nice and friendly. The 3 bed comfort room was spacious and clean. This was our second time staying here and we would do it again if need be.

Arrived and room smelled like cigarettes when it was a smoke free, told the cleaning lady and she just sprayed febreese. I was in a hurry for an extent but didn’t have time to waste, came back at night and odor was strong still. Let owner know but didn’t offer anything to help

While the area around the property isn’t great (next to the highway) the Inn itself makes up for it with their hospitality. They truly care about your stay and ensuring your comfort. The Roos are large and comfortable.

MUST READ before booking.

The photos shown for this hotel are very misleading and do not match the actual property. It looks like a completely different hotel in person.

I traveled with children, and the surrounding area did not feel safe for families. There are several adult stores around the hotel, and we saw people smoking pot during our stay. It was not an appropriate environment for kids.
If you are traveling with family, I strongly recommend choosing another hotel.

The overall look of the hotel wasn’t bad. The rooms are outside but they are updated. Unfortunately, when I checked in, my room was not ready and I walked into a dirty room. No problem, got moved to another room. Room was not bad, but something was off and I was uncomfortable. The floor wasn’t as clean, had hair on the floor still. The bed’s comforter looked like it hadn’t been washed and the towels were covered in hair. I wasn’t very comfortable with staying there, so I left. But the staff were very friendly. I just decided to get my things and go elsewhere for the night.

Not very clean, several individuals were drinking and smoking pot outside our room. The smell of pot was very strong in our room! People were driving in and out of the parking lot really fast, especially for such a small place. We stayed about 10 minutes and checked out. Not safe for families with young children children.

When we checked out the clerk at the front desk wanted to know why, I told them why. They didn't seem to be concerned.

The AC smelled like mildew and it made the entire room stink and the sheets were stained. I would not stay here again. It was good for a cheap motel but the area didn’t feel safe to us. The staff was nice and overall the room was clean.

Room was very clean and updated. We had a larger corner room so lots of extra space for our family of 4. The parking lot is well lite and we felt very safe. Great location near UH. Beds were harder than we like however that it always a personal preference.

This is my 4th time staying at this property. The rooms are always clean and cold. It’s right but a busy highway but I don’t even notice the noise. The shower has good water pressure. It’s close to the University of Houston. The parking lot is well lit. Great price for staying the night.

It was gross. The area around the hotel is awful. N the hotel looks terrible outside. It’s one with the doors that open to the outside, which is not a deal breaker for me, but not my favorite. The good was that it had been recently renovated so the rooms looked attractive. However, the shower curtain was stained or dirty, the bench in the room was stained, and I killed a German cockroach in my room. Which was just the final gross straw for me. Breakfast looked crappy, but I didn’t eat it after the cockroach incident. Stray cats and dogs were roaming the property, including a pitiful cat in the corridors. The other good thing I can say is that the front desk lady was very nice and got us checked in quickly. She had her child with her and I thought it was nice for them to let her have her child at work. It’s nice to see places support their employees in this way. But I will not stay here again thanks to the area and cockroaches in the rooms.

The motel was dirty out side on the sidewalks and stairwells. No elevators, and the area seemed unsafe. The worst part was within 4 minutes of getting into our room, we saw roaches. So we did not stay and they refused to give us a refund, even though we took pics of the roaches. Would NEVER stay at this place.

This listing is very deceiving. The sketchy area was the least of my problems. There was mold in the bathroom, nothing sound proof. Also no mention of cash only deposit with no atm available. Roaches crawling on the bed and on the food I just bought from Whataburger down the street. All of the towels heavily stained and dirty. Shower curtain looked moldy and even though it is remodeled some, it’s still old looking hardware. Also construction going in the rooms so it was loud beyond street noise. If it wasn’t for the “good reviews” and the 8 rating I would have never stayed here. Horrible experience.

I received an email that stated check out time ends at anytime. I received a phone call stating if I wasn’t there shortly they would cancel my reservation. I showed up 20 mins later. There was no mention of a cash deposit on arrival. They charged my card before I arrived then charged the rest when I did arrive which was okay i guess. After I paid the total for the room reservation that the website stated they told me I needed to pay $50 for a cash deposit to be able to stay there. Scared I wouldn’t get my full amount we accepted and gave the receptionist $60 and she proceeded to ask if we had change. We didn’t have any smaller bills. She didn’t have any change for the random deposit they were charging so we had to leave $60 with them. They wouldn’t give us a receipt until the end of our stay that stated they took $60 in cash. We won’t be staying at anymore Days Inn from now on.

All worked as expected. Check-in was quick and easy. Nice clean room with a fridge and a microwave - used both. Some noise from a nearby highway, but not really bothering. AC unit was surprisingly quiet, big plus. Good breakfast - little better than the advertised \"continental\", in my opinion. Flawless checkout - just dropped in the keys and went on the road. Good value.

Well lit parking lot, not too noisy. Transaction was easy and fast. Stairs dirty and trash around. Room seemed fair clean when walking in. But once inside we noticed ants crawling on walls. We called staff and lady came in and sprayed ant killer spray. A little annoying because odor was strong for a while. Other than that, ok.

Thank god that we didn’t spend all day in the hotel or anything and we had busy itinerary. The TV we tried turning it on and it was not working at all. It was stuck at blue screen and wouldn’t work. The tub wouldn’t drain, the shower head wasn’t even working properly. Most of the holes on the shower head were clogged, and the pressure wasn’t even close to where o felt comfortable to wash my hair in. I had to pretty much dance around in the shower depending on where the water was strongest at to get the shower done. Like I said thank God we had a busy schedule to keep up so we only would come back to take a quick shower and then sleep and then wake up and then go with our busy day again.

A property that seems to be in a tough part of town, The front desk is locked down behind bullet proof glass. Does not foster much trust in the security of parking or the rooms outside the protected area.
My room door was wide open when I arrived and did not have any towels, so I guess there was a miscommunication between front desk and housekeeping. All the towels had long hairs on them but were otherwise clean I guess. I was a little nervous about the stay and probably would not select this property again. I did not venture out for breakfast and opted to leave the room earlier than planned to eat elsewhere.

First, there was no one to at the window to check me in. It took awhile for someone to show up even after I call the main phone number.
The desk person showed up and was apologetic but somehow there should be a person available for late check in which we left a message about before hand.
Second, the TV was not working in our room. We had to wait for the next day to get it work.
Third, the breakfast was good.

Budget friendly option for a quick overnight stay. No frills. Older property but has had some updates and renovations. Parking lot well lit. A bit out of the way from any convenience stores, you’d have to make a u-turn under the freeway and go down further and then back track down the service road again (so bring snacks/needs ahead of time, not really walking distance), not a deal breaker.

The experience itself was fine. We stayed just 1 night to keep from driving hime after a baseball game and was the right price and distance for what we needed. However the couch in the room was horrible, looked like what were cigarette burn holes all over it and very dirty. We had to throw the blanket from bed over it to sit on it. The bed sheets had a big stain on it when we pulled the covers back when we checked when we 1st got there but i will say i called the front desk and they sent housekeeping to change right away

The property seems to be a small fMily owned type place. She was sure to tell me the room was non smoking but there were burn holes in the couch and it seemed dirty. There is no workout room and the breakfast room and lobby look nothing like the pictures. Its small and cramped. Room was fairly clean looks like they are upgrading, new floors etc. Workout room has 3 large machines with no access to the room, so no workout. Room smaller than expected but decent for a one night stay.

I love my stay so much I extendend it two extra days . It’s so convenient to downtown house and other areas . Right off the freeway it’s near a Walmart , Heb , Ross and so many food places . I love they have a fitness room , a washer and dryer down stairs , they sell snacks. And the hotel itself is extremely lit so it’s not dark areas always light. The room was good, bright modern furniture clean and big enough. The hotel was conveniently located, and very visible from the street. The breakfast was minimal but sufficient. The one thing which caused me to downgrade it was the bad experience in the laundry room. The laundry came out of the dryer still damp, even after the second round, and smelled bad, as if someone had peed on it. Someone must have peed into that dryer. It needs cleaning and maintenance. Earlier I had already called the staff because the dryer did not accept the coins, and after the person on duty wasn’t successful with the coins either, and got the manager, I got a lecture that one should not drop the coins into the slot, but throw them with just the right speed. That worked, but it made me unwilling to contact the staff again after I found that the dryer made my clothes stink. So instead I downgrade the hotel, and wash all the laundry again at my next hotel.
