Upon arrival, I was informed by your staff that my booking was on a bed and breakfast basis only, despite my Hotels.com confirmation clearly stating that half board was included. I was asked to provide proof, which I did by forwarding my booking confirmation email showing that half board was paid for in advance.

Notwithstanding this, the dining experience fell significantly short of what was contractually agreed:
1.Dinner Restrictions: On the first evening, I was told there was no menu or choice and that only breaded pork with chips was available. Due to religious dietary restrictions, I could not consume pork. No alternative was offered except on the following night, when I was served a small portion of chicken and jacket potatoes. This is wholly inadequate for a hotel offering half board service. both nights, we were charged separately for all drinks, including water and soft drinks, without prior notice. In total, we incurred additional charges of CHF 60 for soft drinks alone. This was unexpected and contrary to our reasonable expectation of a standard half board package. Distress: On more than one occasion, I was told in front of other guests that my meals had not been paid for, which caused significant embarrassment. I felt humiliated and, frankly, treated as though I was asking for something to which I was not entitled, despite having paid in full prior to arrival.

We stay here on our way back to the U.K. from Italy. Overnight stay. Perfect hotel and really great restaurants too.

Lobby was clean but room was dirty. Air conditioning fan was constantly blowing dust. Dust would accumulate within few hours which was really unhealthy for us, I had two children. I reported this to receptionist but nothing was done about it. Blankets weren’t changed at all throughout my 6 night stay. Customer service was extremely poor, had two staffs who were extremely polite, but the rest were horrible, has zero customer service skills.

Movenpick Stay

Another night at the Movenpick.
Sadly we got a smaller bed than normal, so night’s sleep not as good as normal.
Hotel was very quiet but as good as normal.
The car park charges have rocketed from last stay.
Will use the hotel again, but may book direct rather than go through Hotels.com.
We are Accor members, but doesn’t help unless you book direct.

Great hotel, except for defunct air condition.

A very good hotel with a friendly staff. Nice big rooms and beds. Great, peaceful location. Only complaint is about the nonfunctioning air condition. Turned it on for 10-15* C. Woke up in the middle of the night sweating.

They charge even for Parking! Which is outdoors on their property, on top of a hill, with nothing else around it... Breakfast also very expensive. Rooms could have better lighting. Charge for dogs also high.

One night stay stopover from UK to Umbria, Italy.

We stayed here on our way through to Italy and it is the most convenient hotel, as well as one of the best, we have ever stayed at.
This time they were so kind and, during our meal in the superb restaurant, they went out of their way to wish me \"Happy Birthday\".
They came out with chocolate cake and sparkle, singing, in English, Happy Birthday.
Lovely touch and everything was first class.
Thank you so much.
We will return.

Fantastic hotel

Excellent location, fabulous views and fantastic staff. Child friendly. Free Icrcream tokens given to my children, and what a selection of Ice cream. The only drawback is it is a fair walk to the town centre and the neighbouring town of Olten. Defiantly stay here again.

Movenpick Stop Over February 2015

Stayed again on our way down to Italy. Great stop over. Hotel renovating rooms on top floor so less availability. Didn't impact on us at all. Room nice, but had the feeling that someone had smoked in the room prior to us. Only slight downside this time. Restaurant again excellent and had great meal with friends. Highly recommend this hotel.

Super value for money!

The hotel was very good, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Super value for money!
If I could improve something it would be the smell. Fair enough it was snowing heavily and the humidity must have gotten inside (carpets in corridors and rooms), but it did put me down. Apart from this and the location is a little in the middle of nowhere, the hotel was great. Spaghetti restaurant was a plus (travelling with children)

Hotel gave us Assistance/Help

This is our fifth or sixth stay at the hotel. Excellent as usual. We had a puncture on the motorway and the receptionist was able to contact a taxi driver who did find us a tyre distributor that could help replace the tyre. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Stay was ok, after we'd changed rooms from our initial room, as that had been used by a smoker who didn't abide by the 'no smoking' policy. Our 2nd room had a much nicer bathroom, so the move was good. We only used the room to sleep in, however after a lovely meal of fondue in Basel, we had ice-cream in the hotel's café, which was delicious. I was disappointed that breakfast was the same price for children as it was for adults, which led to us not eating breakfast later the next day, after we'd checked out, as I thought the price was excessive.

We only needed to use this hotel as a stopping point on our travels. The hotel room was not cheap and the restaurants were incredibly expensive. They charged us $7 for a bottle of natural water and it barely served two people!

Powerman Zofingen stay

Stayed here 4 nights to compete in Powerman Zofingen. This hotel is in a great location off autoroute, 15 min. drive to Zofingen. Access to running paths around hotel, through sheep and goat-studded meadows. You can walk down to a Subway and 2 grocery stores. (Uphill coming back!) Hotel has 3 very nice restaurants; but La Muetta was always closed. Ciao and Movenpick restaurants offer wonderful dinners. Pricey buffet or continental breakfasts, but nice cafe also for a la carte items. Adequate fitness center. Very nice multilingual staff. Reasonable parking fees. Clean and modern; would stay there again!

I stayed one night at this hotel with three friends. We were given two double beds that were really comfortable. The room was rather small so I wouldnt recommend four occupants in one room because there isnt a lot of walking space. The bathroom looked nice and had great water pressure. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was pricey but that is everywhere in Switzerland. Two of my friends ate breakfast at the hotel and said it was good. Parking is not included so you have to pay to park on the property but that is the only option since the hotel is on top of a hill secluded from the city but not far away. The city does not have much to see or do. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I ever visited this area again.

I travel a lot and the hotel itself is ok but not exceptional. What was however very impressive was the friendly staff. I had several interactions with a variety of people and I will go back just for this reason.

Would have liked to have had complimetary wi-fi as we had in a smaller hotel in another town. Cost of breakfast buffet wa 26 Swiss Francs. A discount could be given for hotel guests.

Nice hotel on a hill

Hotel was very nice and clean. We took advantage of the free breakfast buffet special and it was worth it. The staff was friendly though they only seem to speak german. Parking was affordable at the hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The standard of the room was very high. A small charge for internet did not make me happy for the rate and level of hotel, but it may be a cultural thing. The interface to sign-up was at least very easy.
Only suitable for those with a car.
Breakfast is quite good, with fruits, eggs, and good bread and yogurt options.
If you are travelling near Basel or Zurich, it's a good option. But stay away from rush-hour / peak-times as the motorway can get convoluted.

Je n' ai pas pris le petit déjeûner, car je n'aime pas ça, mais à 32 CHF je trouve le prix trop élevé.
Je regrette aussi que dans un hôtel de ce standing les chambres oient \"vieillissantes\", mais surtout qu'aucun membre du personnel ne parle français alors que la Suisse romande et la France sont relativement proches.

The non-smoking room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, although the staff promptly provided an air purifier that helped reduce the issue. Cleanliness was lacking both in the room and bathroom. Also, despite being four guests, only two towels were provided daily, requiring constant requests for more. The staff was attentive, but the hotel needs significant improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and organization.

Alt er dyrt og koster ekstra, det koster sågar penge at parkere foran hotellet selvom man har booket værelse.
Morgenmaden var alt for dyr, så kørte videre uden t spise morgenmad.
Selve hotellet var fint, og god placering ift supercharger.

Hotellet är slitet och bör inte klassas som ett fyrstjärnigt. Väldigt märklig illadoftande lukt som möter en när man öppnar hotellrummet.

Receptionen ger helt annat intryck än rummet. Bra renlighet och helt ok för en natt påvägen.
