Great stay,

Arrived soaking wet, and was I glad to see the hotel right beside the bridge? fantastic location! after walking from ferrol! and Beatrice at reception is kind of person you hope you will meet booking in to a strange hotel! but never do, super friendly, professional,polite, spoke English much better than my Spanish! fantastic! hope the management know what a asset they have there! and reward her?I loved the old world charm of it! although reading some reviews? you begin to wonder,if they stayed in same hotel? strange! loved it! and would not hesitate to stay again!NX time longer!the other lady on in the morning I left very good also! great staff and with Beatrice? you can't go wrong 🌹🌹🌹

You only get what you pay for......

This hotel is very basic, so fine for us two guys as we expected and got what we paid for.
Breakfast was o.k Saturday. Sunday the remnants were from Saturday, cold coffee, no bread for toast or butter. Monday was the same but coffee was warm not hot and some crusty French bread left out for toasting. Hotel room was very cold as no heating even though June in Spain.
So would I stay again, probably if with my son again. Would my wife stay there, not a chance.
Good it was in town shame restaurant was not open nor the one next door. The Bar Tinos was o.k next to hotel.

Great Camino Inn

I was stopping for the night in Pontdume as part of the Camino. It was a great location for that, litterally on the way. Close to the river and good places to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I would have is typical of Spain, where windows are thin so no noise is cancelled.

Great location, but noise from the street woke me up throughout the night and early morning. The room and bathroom was clean. The stairway however needed a good vacuum- not really important, but not clean. Breakfast was great for the price which was included in the hotel stay

The hotel was very close to the old town and we found lots of places were we could eat. Though the bathrooms in the hotel are a little dated they were perfectly clean and adequate for our needs. This hotel is good value for the money we paid

Functional hotel with a lovely outlook

We had a large room with a nice view and plenty of space. However, I do agree with previous reviews that, given its prime position, Hotel Eumesa could update and clean both its interior (the bathroom in particular) and exterior appearance around the main entrance.
Various reviewers mention the dirty and worn stair carpet, and I would agree that this is something that could easily be rectified. Also the morning staff could smile a bit more! Also employ someone else to replenish breakfast items as they run out. Considering the previous poor reviews saying exactly the same things, one would think that the hotel management would have taken notice by now and rectified the deficiencies.

Handy for shopping and beach

Noisy rooms, no air conditioning, bathroom floor dirty. When coach parties stay the restaurant gets very busy and the usual ham and cheese on breakfast buffet needs to be requested separately.

There is a general lack of care, plants are all dead, floors in bad condition, stairs carpet dirty, bathroom tiles dirty, decor from 1970s. The breakfast attempts to have a wide offer but I would be a to better to have less options but quality ones.

Good place to stay

Overall, good place to stay. My stay was less than ideal due to getting a room with one working plug (in the bathroom) and the wifi being down my whole stay. But my room was spacious if somewhat dated and the hotel was in a good location. An ample breakfast buffet was included which was a huge perk!

Overnight stop during Camino Ingles

A clean comfortable stop at the end of day 2 of the Camino Inglis. Hotel is older but in reasonable condition. Staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Architecture, Nice staff.

We walked el Camino Ingles and decided to stay here. It's a little bit past the Camino, but nothing to sweat about. You can get back right on the path the next morning. The hotel's architecture is beautiful. Makes you feel like you are in a castle. The room and bed was really nice. Spain's beds aren't the best but this was pretty good. Also, it's just a short walk to the main plaza.

Very disappointed

Dirty, dusty, old furniture, birds mess on windows and generally unclean. Staff dressed poorly for front of house appearance. Someone's shirt in corner of wardrobe, stairs filthy and old carpeting. The hotel needs complete overhaul.

Convenient and basic hotel

Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. It is basic and breakfast is usual continental style. It is walking distance from the town and over the bridge is the beach. Nice walks around. Only downside was that you could smell smoke in the rooms and also hear everything from above,next to you and outside. Overall not bad considering there aren't a lot of places to stay in Pontdueme

Nice Hotel

Was staying here overnight as part of Camino Inglis Trail. Hotel was comfortable and staff very helpful. It was a bit noisy but it was the weekend and festival time which if we hadn't been getting up early next day we would have probably joined in

Great location, old and noisy facility

This Hotel is very well located, and if you are doing St James Way, it is just there. Facility is old and bathrooms need update. Room was noisy. I stayed at several hotels that week, and this was the worst value for our money.

I stayed here as part of my Camino trip. It was so central and great for tired legs to see the hotel as I came in to the town. Reception staff were the only staff I saw and they were helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. The bed could have done with an oiling on the springs as they creaked with each turn! I stayed here in mid Oct and seemed to be the only one in the whole hotel...it was all very quiet, ideal for a night's sleep

Como puntos positivos la comodidad del colchón, la amabilidad del servicio y la localización del hotel. El desayuno está bastante bien.
Como puntos negativos las instalaciones son bastante antiguas, sábanas y almohadas muy desgastadas y viejas, y el precio me parece caro.

Nos encantó el trato amable, la sensación de libertad para moverte por el hotel con el perro. Poder dormir los en la habitación. Tienen terraza para que puedas desayunar... A mí me daban la opción de dejarlo en la habitación mientras desayunaba, cosa que en otros hoteles no. En general repetiría sin duda.

Todo muy cómodo y bien. Las vistas, la simpatía del personal de recepción... ¿Tal vez el desayuno pudo ser algo más variado? Bueno, pero tampoco pagué mucho, por tanto todo va acorde.

El hotel estaba viejo. La habitación tenía muy poca iluminación (tres bombillas desperdigadas) y no había enchufes cerca de la cama. Precio caro (45€ habitación individual) para el hotel y las comodidades.

L'hotel necessità un rinnovamento soprattutto per quanto riguarda l'isolamento acustico verso l'esterno.
abbiamo soggiornato nella notte di sabato ed è stato praticamente impossibile dormire a causa degli urli provenienti dalla piazza sottostante per tutta la notte.

Huele mal el dormitorio, a añejo, colchas sucias,

No nos importa si el hotel es feo o es viejo, pero al menos que no huela a humedad y a sucio, las colchas con lamparones. En recepción bueno es si te encuentras a alguien. Y las reparaciones muy mal hechas.

Hotel muy centrico, habitación bastante grande lo que era de agradecer ya que ibamos con perro. Mobiliario antiguo, las camas echaban la colcha para arriba y poco mas. Desayuno bufé con variedad de productos. Lo recomiendo.
