I really needed a rest day on my Camino de Santiago, and the hotel was simple and perfect. Rooms are clean, oldies but goodies. At the bar-reception, Thiago was very nice and helpful.
The hotel is a good, safe option, if you are not looking for luxuries but convenience. It's centrally located, blocks away from all the historic places, and close to all dining and bars in town.

Decent stop along the Camino
I booked this after seeing there’s only one albergue in Gernika and feeling unsure it would be open. You enter the hotel through the reception bar, the bartender gave me the keys. The room was modest but clean, although the mattress and duvet could’ve used another sheet each as they were well worn. Slightly squeaky bed, decent shower pressure. All in all, not worth the 40 euros but I had little choice.

This pension is located in the center of town. The staff made the trip enjoyable. The cafe is open for much of the day in one way or another. The rooms and the cleanliness of them could use an updating, including a deep clean. Overall it was a good enough stay.

Reception being on 1st floor, and room being 2 floors above, I had quite a problem climbing 3 flights of stairs to the room.
Luckily my strong husband carried all baggage and I only did the climb once... to go to bed.

New mattresses are badly needed on the beds. A good nights sleep is the most important thing of any hotel. I’m pretty sure I stayed in the same room in 2020 as I did this trip and the mattress needed replaced then. I was so tired I was able to sleep though.

This \"hotel\" is basically a kip, i know its cheap, , but it is grubby, beds are uncomfortable, no breakfast, no AC, bags of used and soiled towels and restaurants linen left in a room, restaurant was closed on Sunday, but the look of it would put you off,

Great location in the town, only a few minutes from train station and easily accessible to the Peace Museum, tourist office etc. An interesting place to visit and glad we spent a day there. Terrific cafe/bar if you go right out of hotel and turn right at corner. Turn left at the main plaza and it’s 50 meters along next to a fruit shop. A cheap and basic hotel but clean with good staff.

Nos dieron una habitación que no se la daría ni a mí perro, no correspondía con las fotos de la web, nos encontramos una toalla y almohada sucia, las instalaciones viejas y muy mal mantenidas. El baño sucio y perdía agua el lavamanos. El suelo de un lado de la habitación estaba hundido que podías terminar en el bar de abajo. Para repetir.
