Grounds were beautiful as advertised but restaurant was closed on Monday during our stay. Property appeared to be under renovation. We followed preregistration and early check-in procedures but staff appeared unaware of our request and unprepared for early check-in when we called and when we arrived. Front desk staff is only onsite during limited hours in the evenings. Be aware, hotel is not air conditioned. Our room was very hot at time of visit (July), there was no fan, and windows had no screens. A spider and hornets got into our room through the turn-and-tilt window that was open when we arrived, and we had to be moved to different rooms at 11 pm. Staff did respond promptly to this request but we ended up on different floors, and the refrigerator door was off and not working in one room. Also note, this is a separate property from the Hotel Erber bed and breakfast in the town of Ismaning, and it is a 40-60 minute walk to restaurants in Ismaning. It is a 20-30 minute ride to the airport and Uber is your best bet; taxi arranged by hotel never showed the morning of our flight and we had to call Uber instead.

Beautiful property

This was a wonderful oasis of peace and tranquility. It was a very nice place to stay the night before our flight home from Munich Airport. We had a late lunch sitting outside looking at the beautiful grounds. The meal was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was a very nice buffet.

Hotel Restaurant Erber was awesome! The rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable. The service was friendly and ready to help in any way possible. Also, my German is basically nonexistent, but the staff were patient and kind, and there was always someone available who could help me in English. I felt very fortunate to have this linguistic luxury, as I don’t know that a German tourist would find this language accommodation if they came to stay in my town. I was incredibly thankful for their willingness to help me even though I didn’t speak much German.

The hotel is really close to transportation, so it was so easy to ride into Munich City Center. Also, the hotel backs up to a gorgeous park. We actually borrowed the free bikes one day and rode the ten miles into Munich City Center. The bike ride to the city center is far, but forest path was pretty flat and easy to ride along, and the beautiful scenery along the ride was second to none!

Also, the Restaurant in the hotel was fantastic: breakfast is included, and they provide a variety of choices. And they serve a menu to purchase for dinner that includes many traditional Bavarian dishes. They also have a full bar that has a few choices of local Bavarian beer.

The price of our stay, even during the middle of Oktoberfest, was so affordable, and all of the perks made it feel like a deal! If I am ever lucky enough to return to Munich, I will definitely be staying at the Hotel Restaurant Erber! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Great Hotel outside Munich

We stayed just two weeks ago. Great hotel that I selected based on other reviews. We wanted something outside of Munich. The hotel is really meant for those with a car but can be reached via the Ismaning train station and a taxi to the hotel. I believe there is a bus line too but we only used a taxi as it was convenient and not expensive. The hotel was quite nice. Really feels like an older German Inn when you arrive. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom was wonderful and clean and updated. Breakfast was included and was excellent with all the typical things you would see. Just enough to get you going in the morning. We arrived in Munich when the temperatures were approximately 30C and the hotel does not have A/C. This was a negative as it got uncomfortable and although the room had large windows that opened it was right on the road and noisy. This would not stop me from staying there again. The restaurant had excellent food. One of the best meals we had on our trip.

Quest, convenient find

My wife, two children and I stayed here in July... the loft was fantastic for the children! Five minute drive to the train station in Ismaning was extremely convenient to get into Munich. The hotel was very quiet during our stay, with only a few other reservations at the time, but the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Great little hotel 17 minutes from the airport.

The Hotel Erber is a nice small hotel in a quiet area,17 minutes from the airport. The room was small, but had everything we needed for a 1 night stay before flying out. Everything was clean and the condition of the hotel was excellent. We were also very happy with the restaurant on the main level. The food and wait staff were excellent. We will stay here again.

Ansich ein guter Auenthalt, wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit Queenbett und Ausziehsofa zu viert wobei das das Sofa zum Schlafen etwas hart war und die Kissen nach meinem Geschmack eher ungemütlich waren. Dafür war das Frühstück für die Hotelgrösse ganz gut und das angrschlossene Restaurant am Abend war super leckt und auch preislich in Ordnung. Zum Hotel/Restaurant gehört ein riesen Garten in dem die Kids spielen und toben können. so dass wir gerne jeden Abend dort zum essen giengen.

Middelmådigt hotel, fint til en overnatning sydpå

Vi havde en fin enkelt overnatning på vej til Italien. Værelset var lidt småt til vores lille familie, men det var fint nok. Der er en have med trampolin og fodboldmål til ungerne. Modtagelsen i receptionen var ikke særlig imødekommende, resten af personalet virkede dog søde. Til morgenmaden lå der en halv skåret croissant tilbage, ellers var den ok.

Etwas enttäuscht gewesen.

Sehr Schade war, dass man aufgrund einer privaten Veranstaltung das Restaurant nicht nutzen konnte. Die Buchung war nur aus diesem Grund erfolgt, dass es eine schöne Terasse gibt wo man mit Kind sitzen kann und Essen bestellen kann. Letztlich für entsprechende Leistung überteuert. 222 € die Nacht für einfaches Zimmer und einfaches Frühstück. Sonst sehr schöner Garten. Prima für Kinder.
