Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean- i felt comfortable letting my baby crawl around and pull up on the furniture. Location is great, ubahn was right there.

Only issues were the parking garage ... very unique set up that was difficult with a baby. Then, getting to the hotel... there probably was a way to walk around and not go up a step, but i didn't see it.

Hotel staff is highly cooperative and caring. Monika and other youngsters were highly cooperative. One of the youngster (sorry I don't remember the name) used to guide us for different tours around the city and translated everything in English. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely staff, good breakfast, green option for free drink or bike hire instead of cleaning room is nice, great location right above the undrground & right in the middle of many good restaurants.

Slight smell in one of the rooms i had & no air conditioning plus twin rooms not doubles

This hotel was recently renovated in a tasteful manner. It is very clean and has the most comfortable, luxurious beds I experienced on my travels through Germany and Austria. The area isn't touristy at all and that is a nice break from Munich. It is very easy to get to Munich via the underground. Additionally, there are a few restaurants and a grocery adjacent to the hotel. The gelato nearby is excellent! This is a great spot if you are heading to the Munich airport the next morning -- it took us only 15 minutes to drive there from the hotel.

Very nice hotel. It was not easy/ tricky to locate on GPS, as entrance was not from main street exactly, but they had sign for parking garage. We stayed in 130 meter away building. Breakfast was plenty. Front office was helpful. My issue was three devices for wifi, and for family this is too little.

Excellent hotel. We got a family suite on the 3rd floor. Very spacious with great views on the town center, great breakfast. The hotel is centrally located in a pedestrian only zone and walking distance from many amenities. If you are interested in riding the ubahn, the station is right next door. Lost of eating options nearby, we ended up at the local Gastof Neuwirt. Very quiet as the town itself is pretty quiet. Just under half an hour to cover the distance to Munich airport by car. If hotel parking is full, there are plenty of free options in town (use parking disk).

I've stayed at Hotel König Ludwig II many times and always enjoy it. Clean and spacious accommodations, very friendly staff, nice breakfast (included). Very convenient location right next to a U6 subway stop that takes you into the heart of downtown Munich in 20 minutes, and walking distance to Garching's science research park. Highly recommended.

Great value hotel convenient to airport & city

We picked this hotel for a one night stay before catching a flight next day, and at around €90 per room we were happy to book two rooms for our family of 4. The rooms were in separate wings but this was fine. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable, though our double room in the Rezidenz wing was larger and nicer and actually better than some 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Rather than paying for the €12.50 pp breakfast, we went to the bakery opposite for coffee and pastries for around €4 pp. Very convenient - the U Bahn station is right next to the hotel and it's just 17 mins train ride into Munich centre. There is also a Rewe supermarket and a couple of nice looking pubs close by. The airport is 20km, about 15 mins by car. We will definitely stay again next time we fly from Munich.

Breakfast is good. Hotel is a bit expensive, it maybe because of the location. Once I found the window was half-opened; more like broken from the upper hinges. Immediately informed the front desk. The attendant followed me quickly. Later on he said that the cleaners open up the windows to clean it and they must have left the window like that. I did NOT like it. I didn't lose anything though.

Nice, Traditional Hotel

Hotel is located in the small village of Garching on outskirts of Munich. Is isolated by autobahns and really feels like its own village, and not a suburb. There is a metro stop right next to the hotel--literally a few meters away. The hotel is a traditional German hotel. Staff is welcoming. I had an upgraded room, and it was large and comfortable. I would definitely staff here again.

If you are happy to stay on the outskirts of Munich this hotel is the one for you.
Friendly staff, great breakfast, large rooms (we stayed in the Residenz), train station is literally right next door to hotel. Coffee shop across courtyard, supermarket across Road and pub on corner. 25 mins to city on great train service. Ticket for 2 all day rail 14.30 euro. You won't be disappointed 😊

Overall, a great stay! A little more in the included toiletries would be much appreciated and would up the stay (currently, only a shampoo and a single small soap was offered). At least separate bath and hand soaps would be nice. Otherwise, everything is immaculate. The bed was fine. The breakfast was fantastic! Front desk was very friendly and professional.
The location was fantastic as it's literally next to the U-Bahn.

While planning for my fifth trip to Munich (yes, for Oktoberfest!), I wanted to see how affordable, but great, hotel I could find during the Weisen. All hotels near the City Center are crazy expensive. So I had to venture to hotels that are outside the City Center. So I chose Hotel Konig Ludwig. The overall reviews were favorable, and what sold me...it is literally right next door to a subway/U-Bahn station. So getting to this hotel was super easy from the airport. The room was a tad small, but very clean (since it was just me on this trip, not a big deal). The breakfast buffet was quite good as well, with a decent selection of the main staples. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. So, for those that don't mind being a tad far from things, but its made up for by being so close to public transportation, then you can't go wrong with Hotel Konig Ludwig!

This was my first stay in this hotel and I stayed for 6 nights. This hotel has a lot to offer in terms of convenience, comfort, and service. It is located outside of Munich however very close to a U-Bahn (Metro) station which takes you directly to the centre of Munich. This means you can have lots of fun in the centre of Munich and be back for a quiet and restful evening at the hotel. The hotel is located on a pedestrian mall so there is no car/street noise. There are many restaurants nearby and several shops including grocery stores. My room was very comfortable and included a minibar. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent and includes a lot of variety including some Bavarian fare. There is a terrace at the front of the hotel where guests can sit and enjoy a restful afternoon. I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return to this hotel on my next visit.

Nice little hotel, very well organised with friendly and helpful staff. Faces onto a small square and apart from the sound of Germans celebrating a 7:1 victory in the world cup (!) one evening very quite and peaceful. Almost sits on top of the U6 station which is very convenient. Striking distance by taxi for both the airport and central Munich. Excellent breakfast and a good bar. All round a great stay!

1a Lage, viele Parkplätze, relativ ruhig, muss man früh ins Bett kann’s schwierig werden, da Restaurant bzw. Fußgängerzone direkt vorm Zimmer (Nr. 108), gute Betten, geräumiges Zimmer, Toilette war bei Eintreffen deutlich verschmutzt, Reklamation wurde wurde gut gehandelt und mit Schokolade kompensiert. Es war heißes Sommerwetter, dadurch wird es im Zimmer recht warm. Klimaanlage gibt es nicht, aber einen Ventilator und Fenster lassen sich öffnen. Ich würde das Hotel wieder wählen.
