We stayed here during Oktoberfest. The staff was helpful and it was walking distance to the bus stops to get us back and forth to the train stations. Their breakfast had a decent variety. The only thing I wish was that there was access to the water station in the evenings. We had to constantly buy bottled water from the bar. But otherwise, it was a good place to stay. There was a McDonald's and a gas station nearby that was walkable to pick up a few items.

Comfortable Stay with Great Breakfast

We stayed in a triple room at the Holiday Inn Munich North, which featured a king-size bed and a sofa bed. The room was modern and clean, following the standard Holiday Inn layout.

The bathroom was especially nice, with a spacious shower cubicle, a light-up mirror, a sink, and a standard toilet. Unfortunately, the shower holder in our room was broken, so the shower head kept slipping down. However, the provided shower gel and shampoo were of good quality.

Next to the bed, there were both EU plug sockets and USB ports — very convenient for charging devices. The room also came with tea and coffee-making facilities, though bottled water was not provided.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and offered a wide variety of options. There were hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages, and baked beans, as well as a continental selection. They even had pancakes!

The hotel was in walking distance to buses. Breakfast was included with our reservation. There was a small bar that one could order snacks or drinks from after the breakfast areas closed at 11:00 am. Didn't realize we needed the keycard to work the elevator until my daughter heard another guest tell her that just as the door closed. Would stay here again on future trips.

Our stay was good. Diva and Carine were wonderful. We had all information that we needed. Public transportation is easy to use, and near this hotel. Many restaurants around the hotel. There is a free parking in front of the hotel.

Breakfast first day was below average orange juice was mostly water, at 6 am when breakfast was due to open no lights were on and didn’t come on until 7am !?
More importantly when opened the food wasn’t ready and it needed to be for people catching planes or work etc if you can’t do that don’t open at 6!

I stayed here earlier in tne week and it wss fine. However, ipon check in, the african clerk was rude and refused to fix his error in not providing 8 rooms with 2 beds each even though i had booked them that way. Another employee was able to get it taken care of but we stil didnt get what we booked and prepaid for. There were noisy kids and schoolgroups there that they would not get quiet and they ate the breakfast all up. Im an IHG rewards member and shouldnt have to put up with this for an 8 room block

Nice, modern place, secure, great pillows and beds. Loved the breakfast! It lasted a long time and had great choices for food. We also loved the late check out time.
The only downside was the bathroom which doesn't have a vent so the room get steamy and moist. Also annoying is that the light switch to the bathroom is on the outside so that the light wakes people when you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

It was nice hotel and close to the Munich stadium. However, if you are coming for visiting Munich, not for football, the area may be not fit what you need. But it is not too far from the city center by car.

Extremely poor housekeeping

When we arrived there were no towels in the room
By the third time asking we finally received towels but no shower mat
We were expecting a regular room with a queen size bed but received a handicap room with no countertop in the bathroom to be able to put toiletries on and the water went everywhere so we were engulfed in a flooded bathroom
Shower curtain was filthy
On the plus side the room was large.
The staff at front desk were excellent in the fact that they tried to help us but the housekeeping was terrible, didn't even bother to replace kleenix in the container.

This was a convenient location for our travel to and from Old Town and Oktoberfest. We took the 177 Bus to the Ubahn 2 (U2) station. It is only 6-7 stops to the main train station.

The breakfast was good for continental plus. It could have used some more hot choices for breakfast.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Warning it is next to a prostitution house, however, it is not a bother. The area was very safe feeling. Bike rental near by. Close to public transportation. Close to grocery store, McDonald’s and a pharmacy. I would stay again. Munich is a wonderful city.

Good hotel. Stayed here for a short business trip.
Rooms are good. Bed is comfortable; good shower pressure; iron & ironing board in the room; air con works; nice & quiet. There’s is a kettle, but no bottled water / fridge.
Breakfast was basic but ok.
Basement parking available (you have to pay at reception).
Location is good for Schwabing; but not a great deal of local amenities.

Room 115 and Breakfast on time

Overall our two nights were pretty good, but I want to point out two things that could be better. (1) Room 115 needs to have corner table fixed, and (2) breakfast should start on time at 6:00 on time which was not the case on 3/21/2024.
We will stay another two nights with you.

Our room’s carpeting was filthy! We never got a refill of coffee mugs or coffee packs. The thermostat was set as low as it would go and with air conditioning on yet the temperature wouldn’t go below 26 degrees. We had to open the window to let cool air in but the noise is unreal and smoking right below our windows so sneezed anytime I was in my room. Anytime anyone in a room near us shut their door it banged our headboards. Parking in the deck is quite the premium cost when we are already paying a lot of money to stay at the hotel. And if you don’t mind being 2 doors down from the brothel/strip club then this is the hotel for you

The room smelled of cigarettes badly. I asked to change the room, and the staff named Omar gave me the room, however said the first room did not smell of cigarettes when it very well did. The second room was a little better with the cigarette smells but had pee stains on the carpet, and the kettle was filled with dust and leaking water and the curtains have some horrible stains. I asked him to come see the room which he did and he said as if I am the one who caused the pee stain on the carpet. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. I always hold IHG Hotels to high standards but this definitely failed. I had even taken photos of the uncleanliness and they said no it cannot be cleaned. Booking at any hotel or B&B, guests expects cleanliness which is the most basic thing for hotels. I will most definitely never stay in this hotel again.

The room is good for 2 people.
I was in 3 people so little tight.
I was driving a car so was convenient to me.

In Hotels.com while I did reservation, it mentioned 'Free Parking\", actually free parking slot is limited only couple of cars can park, hence you need to park at building ground park, and hotel will charge Euro22 / night.

The hotel is a little far out from the city. Not close to the U. You need to take a bus to get to the U. There is some free parking but very limited, if full you need to park in the garage. No refrigerator in the rooms if you do have medicine that needs to be refrigerated they will hold behind the bar. The staff was great. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Hotel is close to a McDonald's. I don't think the rooms are cleaned that good. When we came back from a long day there were still razor savings in the sink. The floor looks like its rear lying vacuumed. Dirty cups were just left in the room. Neighborhood feels safe.
