The staff were excellent, courteous, and efficient. They were quick to respond to requests and very helpful. the location is great. short walking distance to many sights and high end shopping, and next to metro and bus lines, but far enough away to be quiet from traffic noise
Downside is the hotel building itself is a little tired. there was renovation work going on in the hotel and on a nearby street. no problem at night but sometimes disturbing during the day
The air conditioning broke in one of our rooms, but the staff brought in a portable unit immediately and maintenance was there the following day to repair
Overall the rooms were comfortable and made our stay very easy. It is an outstanding value for money and would recommend it
I hope the management appreciates how much the staff carries this establishment

The outstanding feature of this hotel is its location. Within easy walking distance to shopping and notable venues. The staff is courteous and attentive, and the concierge is excellent. She got us reservations at the last minute for a wonderful Seine dinner cruise. The room was adequate, but the hallway to the elevator made it seem like you were going the back way to work in the kitchen. Also dimly lit.

Hotel is good, location is soecial, I had only one big complain. During all my stay, I complained about the air conditioner, and it continue to be hot. They don’t have air conditioner, it is fan, so it is not a good option for summer time.

Definitely not more than a 3 star. Rooms are small and carpet looks dirty . The shower was basic handheld and the water temperature was fluctuating. Good location and reasonable price for ( 5 star) . All surrounding restaurants are tourists traps. Way better hotels to choose from

This stay was a huge disappointment — my advice is stay away from here. The decor and amenities were atrocious. The shower & bathroom was almost unusable — you basically had to climb into the shower to use it and then it caused the whole bathroom to get wet. The rooms are dark and dingy. Staff was less than accommodating. And the overall design of the hotel is just odd and looks cheap. The buffet breakfast was fine, which was the only somewhat redeeming quality. I honestly think a hostel would have been a better choice.

I think the hotel had recently reopened so may have been getting just going. Room was not clean when we arrived, this was done quickly without much inconvenience. Overall it is a 5 star location but a 4 star hotel at best. To be fair for location it was not priced at a 5 star level. Not a lot going on at the \"bar\" each day so little atmosphere. This may all have been related to reopening to be fair.

This property needs upgrading.

I was looking forward to stay at this property. The check-in was relatively easy and at that time, I was told my room was in a different building, right there I knew I was in for a surprise. The hotel should be very clear about the rooms and indicate that depending on the rate of the room is the allocation, old and new. Needless to say I switched rooms to the new building for which I had to pay. The new room was a little better but still, not pristine as the photos published. The hotel looks tired and not well kept. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, food choices, presentation and service, all below average. I’m an admirer of Margiela but not sure what the connection is, I saw 4 rooms, one in the old building, 3 in the new. I’m not sure if any representative from Martin Margiela would approve. Unimpressed.

The reception staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel was clean but no real atmosphere. The bar wasn’t really a bar. I never saw anyone in it and didn’t even see any drinks. We were across in building 2 and there was a terrible heavy construction noise every morning. This is obviously not the hotels fault but it looks like that will continue for quite a while and you have no chance of sleeping when they are working.

Location was great and we did enjoy our stay but I would select another larger hotel next time with a bit more atmosphere.

This property is very close to the Champs Elysees (about a 5 minute walk). The staff were really nice & helpful. We had booked 2 rooms for 1 night. The room sizes were decent but the quality was not impressive. The bathroom shower/tub combo was treacherous. The tub didn't drain properly so it was very slippery & there was not a safety bar to help exit the tub. Stepping out of the tub is a good 2 inches to the floor without anything to balance/hold onto. The shower also had mold in the seams & the shower didn't work. Our view wasn\"t impressive (back ally & a building that was partly demolished.

Great Hotel, Great Location

This is a fantastic hotel. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the morning, and they were able to get us into a room well before the check in time. The room was very comfortable and had everything my wife and I needed. It is easy walking distance to plenty of good restaurants, great shopping, many of the attractions, and close to a subway station. Overall, it is a great place to stay.

It’s terrible experience for staying here. The room is too small. The shower is opened next to the toilet. Snack tray, coffee machine and everything are on the bottom of the tiny closet. The night stands are just a block of ripped off wood. All furniture and decorations are in standard condition, not a 5 stars qualities. Elevators are old and shaking when they start and stop. The room key wasn’t working on the second day and I got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes until a guest came in. I’ve booked a deluxe room just for 1 person but didn’t get the quality for the money that I spent. In my opinion, it’s only 3 stars rating compare to my sister booking on Champs-Elysées just couple bucks more. The only credit I can give this hotel are linen sheets and bathroom amenities.

Don't go there, not even close to a 5 star hotel

We arrived late in the evening at the hotel, the \"check in\" process was total chaos, the keys to our rooms didn't work (wasn't resolved before the next day), one room didn't have any light and the 2 kids beds that was requested were not there. I guess I don't have to tell that this did not make it easier to handle 2 tired and sleepy kids....... the key \"show\" continued all 4 nights, but this was not the worst, they no top of all the rest, they cheated us by providing us with lesser quality rooms than we had ordered and paid for, only because due to the other things, I checked it and found out. When I confronted them with it they didn't care and would not offer any financial compensation (didn't deliver the product give me my money back). To keep the record straight then did they upgrade one of the 2 rooms on the 2nd day and gave us a bottle of what the referred to as wine (a joke, left it at the hotel). I can only recommend anyone looking for a good experience in Paris to take one of the many other good hotels that are there, and leave these cheaters with empty rooms.

Great hotel great location

The sights and attractions of Paris are many, and its fairly spread out, so location is everything. La Maison couldn't be better located, whether it is the sightseeing, good restaurants, shopping or all of the above that brings you there. Space is always at a premium, but the rom we stayed in was spacious, very clean, bright and wanted for nothing. The staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was enough trouble. They even went the extra mile when, due to the final day of the Tour de France, we were struggling to get back to Gare De Nord. We would definitely come here again and recommend it to others.

There was iMac and Mac mini installed in the room. But both of them are too old and OS was not updated. And what was worst was tech support didn't know well about Mac. So There were computer in the room but these are display only.

The room was very fashionable but not functional. Because we could not turn on and off the room light easily. There was complementary two bottles of water per day. Additional was charged.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. I could not believe this is the five star hotel (who decided it is??).
First, we were surprised with hotel's staff behavior. They were not kind or polite. They did not help us to bring the baggages from the entrance. They told us the wrong place of the supermarket. They did not apologize when I noticed that.
Also, facilities were poor. There were no gym. The room was super small with no sofas but cheap chairs. Towels were old and smell.
In addition, they did not change the sheets of the bed. We stayed 3 nights but they did never changed the sheets. Is this usual in France. I could not believe it...
Only one thing we satisfied is the location. This is easy access to metro No 1 and Camps Elysees street.

Location was great, very close to the champs though ~1/2hr walk to best shopping (i.e. Galleries Lafayette & Printemps). Towels smelt funny & shower was horrible. Room not designed for females with no PowerPoint in the bathroom for hair straightener. But other than that ok room. Nothing too notable. Free movies, plush slippers & free water was a nice touch.

I was disappointed by this Maison margila boutique hotel , with 5 star rating it should be less than 4 !!! Amount of money u pay for the location only , other its less than satisfactory like the linens there is cutting every where, the bathroom rob there is holes on it (see pictures) maison margiela ur name was disrespectful , the bathroom in general there is no maintenance at all , the wood tore up (see picture) the most shocking the coffe nespresso tube just give one time only ! Its like welcome note hahaha , and every single day without tubes just envelop quick coffee , one more noticed thing the room without any kind of usb port (other hotel by default the usb port in each side of the bed) , in other side the first tow days in paris i was in 4 star hotel (le terrase by hm) , its perfect in every way the shampoo products from l’occitane , the coffee nesspersso providing every day, the different kind of luxury tea from the famous tea shop in paris providing also ! The decorations and cleanliness amazing , its waste of money for this hotel , i wish i can exchange my nights back there again but i already paid advance my stay , never back again in this hotel .

Beautiful Hotel, Great Location, AMAZING STAFF!

Hotel is conveniently located near many major attractions. It was a spacious room, very clean, with the room turned down twice a day many times. But the best part about this hotel was the staff. Every single staff member was helpful and kind. From the lobby staff helping us plan many day trips and our anniversary plans, to the concierge, to the waiters in the dining room always blessing us with special treats. It turned a 25th anniversary outing in Paris that was already going to be unforgettable, to amazing. Great job!!

A gem of a Paris hotel

We had a great three nights in the Maison. The staff were helpful, prepared for us coming, and when we had a slight problem of our room not having hot, only tepid, water they did their best to sort it as quickly as possible and they gave us a bowl of fruit to compensate. The room was a very good size for Paris and it was nice and quiet facing a courtyard. The bed was very comfy with a topper on it for extra sumptuousness.
We did not eat in the hotel as it was pricey. There is a very good brasserie just a few steps away however so we had breakfast there and a couple of lunches. The hotel is a very short walk to the nearest metro station and it is well placed for getting down to the River Seine for walks or bateaux mouches at the Pont d'Alma and for the Champs Elysees. The number one metro line is the nearest to the hotel and it takes you to most of the places you would want to visit - the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, the Tuileries gardens, the Ile de la Cite for Notre Dame etc. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The attention they gave us was outstanding. We felt like we were the only people they had to tend to. The location was made it easy to walk to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph and Champ-Elysees. The room had free movies, which was nice to relax after a day of walking and watch a flick. The dinner was amazing and surprisingly well proportioned while I would probably hold off on the breakfast buffet. The only other \"oddity\" was the shower. You stand about a foot higher closer to the ceiling while the tub was narrow enough that my foot would block the flow of water to drain; great water pressure though.

Wonderful, Elegant Hotel

This hotel was beautiful from the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful both about the hotel and it's surrounding areas. Arriving in our room it was very spacious, clean, comfortable and elegant. My wife and I both had a wonderful sleep. We were there for around 5 minutes when their was a knock on the door and the staff had sent us some champagne and snacks as they realised upon check in it was my Wifes birthday, this was a wonderful gesture as we hadn't even mentioned it. It's location is superb just a couple of minutes walk to the Champs Elysses and with the Grand Palais at the end of the street. I will 100% be staying at this hotel the next time we frequent Paris. The only draw back is it gives you car envy looking at the Aston Martin Dealership next door.

This was a very chic boutique hotel with a warm and lovely staff and a beautiful dining area for breakfast and dinner.
It was a little quiet at night but well located near the Grand and Petite Palais and near the Metro and the Champs Elysee.
The room was beautifully appointed and all was white and fresh. I would definintely stay here again! I was here for 6 nights and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great room, terrible hallways!

Let me start out by saying the hotel is great! Everything about it is wonderful, EXCEPT>>>> the hallways are black. Yikes! I stayed on the 4th floor where I think several of the rooms are, there doesn't seem to be that many rooms so its very quiet. The problem for me was the hallways are so black and unwelcoming, that I didn't look forward to returning. I got off the elevator and walked a short hallway, then went through a door, then down 5 stairs, then through another door, then to a small hallway with my room. My room was very bright, airy, overlooked the garden and was so clean, it was just getting there to be the problem.
I was traveling alone and must admit I was looking around all these corners and doors every time I went in or out. Even though it is extremely secure to get in, the staff knows whos staying there and you need a pass card to use the elevator. I never felt unsafe, just cautious. If the hallways were any other color than black, anything light, it would have gotten 5 stars for every rating.

Nothing to complaint about, except that its not a 5 star hotel. Good 4 stars but lacks the luxuries, accommodations and feel of a 5 star hotel. Small issues such as having to go up and down the stairs to reach an elevator (had heavy suitcase and would not permit a female concierge to drag it for me); waited 15 minutes at 4AM for someone to let me into the hotel as the doors were locked. Despite their desires of a modern look the silver painted walls looked cheap. Should you get a good deal stay there as the location is great but don't expect the neighboring Shangri la or George V accommodations.

Bank holiday break

The hotel was nice and minimalistic but we did have the standard room, however in a fab location, we walked to most places. Staff were friendly and gave us good suggestions of where to eat etc.

Great Value

Excellent location!!!!! Beautiful hotel . Clean and modern. Our room was very nice with an updated clean bathroom. It was booked as a 5 star. It is very very very nice, however it is not The Four Seasons or The Ritz, which I consider 5 star. I definitely will stay there again. It is well worth the price.

Viva La Paris

First stay in Paris, so we can not compare hotel to others. Room size is adequate, services limited, good breakfast and very cooperative staff. Good location if you like to walk.

In addition to all of the must see sights add the relatively new Foundation Louis Vioutant to yourlist.

very central boutique hotel with cozy feeling

Rooms are a bit small but you get a good value for the price. the spirit of the hotel, central location and the friendly stuff, the modern style combined wiht old architecture, and excellent bed comfort plus modern bath have made me feel good. I would recommend it to a friend.

Expected a little more from this hotel

Great location but disappointed with some details. The room had a cracked shower head which prevented me from moving the shower head in the direction I wanted. Toilet never completely flushed. Bathrobes were tired. Service in the restaurant was just OK. Check in was super pleasant a was the day staff. The evening person behind reception was either exhausted or a curmudgeon. Loved the needlework sculptures (homage to Louise Bourgeouis and Margiela) and the overall interior decorating was nice. Restaurant food was great.

When my daughter and I checked into the hotel in the evening I asked the receptionist if our room had one or two beds, she said that we are reserved a room with one king size bed and she did not have a room available with two beds at the moment but she would check in the morning for a room with two beds. That room was luxurious and we were very pleased with it. Therefore we decided that we would stay in that room for our duration of our stay. We did not inform the receptionist of our decision as we left early in the morning for the day, when we arrived later on we found out that all our things had been moved to a different room, one with two single beds, this was a smaller room, and not as impressive as our previous room. I wish that I would have been consulted before the hotel staff decided to relocate us to another room.
