Hotel Hauser is in a great location when visiting Munich. Located on the border of the Maxvorstadt and Schwabing neighborhoods, there are a lot of great cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within walking distance. It’s also near transit options, very walkable to Alstadt and the main Munich attractions (a pleasant 15 minute walk), as well as the English Garden (10 minute walk).

It is a vibrant neighborhood with a lot of college age folks around, so it tends to be louder in the evenings, but not too bad.

The rooms are on the small side, but they’re just right if you’re mainly looking for a room to store your bags and sleep. The shower in our room was very tiny, but manageable. We did not have the breakfast buffet, but it looked and smelled good. The staff was helpful and courteous. The only real negative were the pillows. They weren’t soft or firm, and were an odd shape that you could never quite get comfortable with.

We loved the Hotel Hauser. It was so conveniently located to many restaurants as well as being close to the subway. Even though the area around the hotel is very popular, our room was really quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely breakfast, which we enjoyed each morning of our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

If you can manage with the tiny rooms, tiny elevator, and retro decor, this is a great little hotel in the popular Schwabing area. Public transportation connections are excellent.
Service is very attentive, rooms are spick and span clean, and the German breakfast buffet (included!) is fresh with many delicious options.

The beds were too hard and narrow ( two twin beds), and the pillows were too flat and tough. The staff at reception was very accommodating and helpful! They helped us to schedule taxis and to refrigerate a medicine.

Welcoming staff in happy neighborhood

Hotel Hauser is a family-run hotel since 1938. The Entrance & lobby is on the ground floor, Reception & Breakfast on 1st floor with 4 floors of rooms the layout & style is human-scale and warm.
Staff is welcoming and breakfast is a tasty variety. Rooms seem to be singles (I had a very nice one) and doubles.
Location is in Maxvorstadt just a couple of blocks from the Universitat U, and a friendly neighborhood with shops, bars & grocery stores.
I would be delighted to return!

great family owned hotel, definitely not a chain

This is a great hotel in a perfect location, Schwabing, near the University and Englische Garten (5 min walk). It is near a subway line (U3/6, Universitaet)) that connects to the S-bahn to the airport at marienplatz and is thus easy to reach with pubic transportation. There are lifts in the subway station for luggage. One can walk to the central city (Marienplatz) in 15-20 min or take two stops of the subway.
The rooms are relatively small (to small for calisthenics for example), but this is the case for most hotels in Munich. The hotel is in an old apartment house and as such each room is a bit different. The hotel is really clean and run by a family of local germans (bavarians).
The breakfast was excellent, typical german food (ham, rolls, etc).
I will come back.

Nice Hotel, great location

This hotel sits in between the main downtown area and the very trendy Scwabbing district. it is an older building on the outside but the interior is immaculately kept. My room was very basic, quite small, with a small shower and bathroom. It was kept super clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Staff are friendly and responsive, very nice buffet breakfast is included in the price, and the location could not be better. there are many restaurants of every type, stores, and shops within easy walking distance, and the beautiful English Gardens are a short walk away. UBahn line 6 is close by. I enjoyed my stay and will return here again.

Wonderful hotel!

Wonderful choice of hotel one block from University, steps away from many great restaurants, beer halls, and cafes, in a lovely neighborhood filled with antiquarian book shops, antique stores, etc. And not far from Munich's old city. Rooms are spotlessly clean, staff helpful and polite, and the breakfast is amazing! Only small complaint was that the rooms are quite small and the wifi stopped working (but this was not the fault of the hotel). Would stay here again any day, and recommend it without hesitation.

Very small room with a tiny shower, not suitable for disabled or overweight people, no hotel amenities like iron or fridge, 1 key per room, nobody at reception after 10:00 pm - no emergency number provided (In addition, I did not see an exercise room as advertised)
Yet a very nice breakfast!
WHy didn't I complain? Staff turned defensive when I mentioned slow and spotty wifi. Other 'hints'about lacking service were met with equal denial.
This is a very basic room in a 'Pension' for which you pay hotel price

Convient location, fair value for tidy property

We stayed three nights over a multi-week holiday in Europe and stayed at a verity of hotels. We found this hotel very convent to good restaurants, the U-Line, museums and historic venues but we don't mind walking - and did so for up to 9 miles to cover major sights, For normal people, the Underground stop (Universitat) is close by.

The hotel itself is solid - clean, god breakfast, very no-nonsense. Our room was the smallest among the 7 cities we visited, but efficient and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was good but not outstanding and staff is not unfriendly but seemed distant - you're greeted by a locked door and have to wait to be buzzed in, the trudge up a level.

All in all, a good value and good location so I would stay again when in Munich.

A wonderful base to explore Munich

A lovely hotel in a wonderful, university-centred neighbourhood, only 20 minutes walk or two subway stops from downtown (Marienplatz), and even closer to the museums and English Garden. The management were very helpful, even though I arrived early in the day. The rooms are not large, but fully comfortable. The breakfast buffet is amazing, with lovely breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts etc.

Very nice breakfast buffet and helpful staff. The shower glass doors would not thoroughly close causing a wet floor. Decor in this hotel is very dated. It is very close to the Universitat U-bahn station which does have an elevator at street level if you are carrying heavy luggage. This is a good hotel for those who need to economize - very basic.

Basic, clean hotel near English Garden

Hotel Hauser is a clean but relatively basic hotel near the University... with great proximity to the English Garden. If you're looking for a luxury experience, this isn't the place for you. A few things to know: 1. It's about a 20 minute walk to the center of old town Munich (Hofbrauhaus, Marienplatz, etc.). 2. It's in an old townhouse so even the reception area is up a flight of stairs -- notable if you have a lot of heavy bags. They do have an elevator but it's incredibly tiny. 3. It's in the University area so there are students everywhere and a bar/cafe next door but we never heard any noise and it was never rowdy in any way. 4. Your room will be small, basic and clean. We had a \"queen\" bed that was two twin mattresses pushed together, each with our own separate set of twin blankets. 5. The bathroom is typical European... meaning it works just fine but will be considered small by American standards, especially the shower. 6. The continental breakfast has only cold items, but everything was fresh. 7. The location is ideal for walking into the English Garden... you can even rent bikes near the entrance (highly recommended). 8. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and helpful. 9. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again just because climbing three flights of stairs after walking around Munich all day got to be a little tiresome, but that's not the fault of the hotel. If you're looking for basic accommodations near the Garden, this will work.

Hotel Hauser Nice Find in Munich

We were unsure what to expect, this being our first time to Munich. Hotel Hauser was a great location for us. Friendly staff and nice traditional German breakfast provided. Just a short walk to the U-Bahn and access to anywhere in Munich that you want to go. Also just a stroll over to the English Garden. We were impressed by the host of restaurants available in the neighborhood. The only suggestion we had for management was to increase the wi-fi coverage. Our room, at the end of a hallway, didn't quite have the reception that we would have liked. But, we could get better reception in the common areas, which worked for us.

Nice neighborhood close to university, U-bahn, Englischer Garten and museums. Quiet and air-conditioned. I would recommend for location, cleanliness and convenience, but don't expect luxury or hotel-chain uniformity: it's a family-run hotel. The nice part of that is that you may meet family members, who are very helpful, but décor is from the 1970s and breakfast rooms =tiny. For a nice breakfast or other meals, there are many area restaurants and bakeries .

Hotel Hauser is a small, well-run modern hotel in a superb location near the University in Schwabing /Munich. 5 star breakfast. Rooms are cleverly designed but distinctly small. Lighting and bathroom have quality fixtures. Wi-fi is excellent, though it developed a glitch on the last day of my stay. Thoughtful amenities such as local maps.

Great authentic little hotel

We chose Hotel Hauser so we could be in the University area and close to the U-Bahn. The room was small but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom had been recently renovated. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We have traveled many times in Munich and much prefer the authentic Bayern type of hotels. The location was great. Less than 3 minutes to U-Bahn and the surrounding blocks had lots of very nice restaurants and pubs.

Convenient location to University, Museums, Englischer Garten and one block from U-bahn. Hotel rooms very small; and no wait staff; parking as advertised was down the street inside a very tight interior courtyard--not convenient.
Breakfast added cost--but nice spread and tables set elegantly-- only elegance about the otherwise pedestrian accommodations.

Had several days of business with museums in Munich. Hotel Hauser is an older boutique hotel, but was clean, service friendly and accomodating. Was very convenient--within walking distance to major museum and theatre district. Not a luxury hotel, but well priced and clean.

とても素晴らしいホテル。2万円以下、朝食付、中心部、取消無料、現地払いで絞り、家庭的な雰囲気に惹かれて予約。空港からはS1にMoosachでU3乗り換え。S8を使い徒歩でMarienplatzからも可能。ホテル周辺は飲食店多数。観光地へも徒歩圏内。部屋はこぢんまりだが、機能的で使いやすく、手入れが行き届いる。騒音もなく静か。朝食も充実していてドイツらしい。温かい紅茶とコーヒーもある。checkinとcheckoutも対面で安心。アメニティはタオル大小と兼用の液体石鹸のみ。歯ブラシ、スリッパ、パジャマ、シャンプーなどは部屋になし。宿泊客はドイツ語話者中心で便利な場所にありながら落ち着きのあるホテル。

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, weshalb draußen sehr lebhaft ist, wovon allerdings in den Zimmern nichts zu merken ist. Die Zimmer sind klein, dabei gut ausgestattet. Insgesamt ein sehr gepflegtes und angenehm zurückhaltendes Haus, das ohne viel Aufsehen auskommt.
Das Frühstück ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet.

Für einen Aufenthalt in München eine ausgezeichnete Wahl.

中心駅から徒歩30分程度だが、近くに駅もあり中心街まで歩ける距離なので問題無し。近くにスーパーもあるので良かった。部屋は狭いが、コンパクトにまとまっており利用しやすかった。コインランドリーがあると思って予約したが無かった。フロントでは道の説明もしてくれ、非常に親切で助かった。

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich super gelegen und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Leider ist jedoch das gesamte Hotel (Einrichtung und Dekoration) sehr altmodisch.
Die Auswahl beim Frühstück empfanden wir als zu gering. Die Brötchen waren sehr latschig.

Hotel mit direktem U-Bahn Anschluss Olympiastadion

Super gelegen zu U-Bahn Universität, die direkt zum Omypiapark führt. Ist also gut gelegen für ein Konzert oder Anlass im Olympiastadion. Sehr feines Frühstücksbuffet und sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer eher klein aber sauber und wenn man es nur als Übernachtung benutzt, ideal.

Dejligt lille familiehotel

Hotel Hauser er et super hyggeligt lille familieejet hotel med rigtig god beliggenhed i Munchen. Ejerne var super søde og hotellet var meget pænt og ordentligt. Stilen er lidt rustik og corny, men komforten er absolut i top. Vi havde et værelse på øverste etage med et lækkert stort badeværelse til.

立地が素晴らしい

Odeonsplatz駅を利用すれば、ミュンヘン中央駅から、短距離専用の切符で到着できます。レジデンツや主な見どころも徒歩圏内で便利。
学生街で、夜は車もほぼ通らずとても静かです。
カーテンが遮光ではないので、陽の光で目が覚めます。
朝ごはんはシンプルながらもバラエティに富んでいて、持ってきてくださったコーヒーもとても美味しかったです。
もしまたミュンヘンに行くことがあればぜひ利用したいです。

Un hotel datato come stile, ma pulito e molto curato. La colazione dolce e salata di ottima qualità e varia. La camera un po’ piccola, ma comoda. La posizione è vicina alla metropolitana e intorno ci sono bar e ristoranti. A piedi con una camminata di 20 minuti puoi raggiungere il centro.

Schöne Woche bei Hauser's

Schickes kleines Hotel. Gutes und ausreichendes Frühstück. Zimmerreinigung auch sehr gut ,also gutes kleines Hotel. Schnell erreichbar,wir würden das Hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Gute Unterkunft, wer mit wenig Platz auskommt

Die Zimmer sind sauber und gut möbliert, aber sehr
Klein, kein stuhl oder Sessel im Zimmer aus
Platzgründen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr
Vielfältig . Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.
Für eine Nacht empfehlenswert, das sehr gute
Zentrale Lage.vielleicht gibt es auch etwas größere
Zimmer.

Ok sijainti, muuten ei niinkään.

Hotellin sijainti oli kannaltani ok mutta hotellin palvelu ja huoneiden kunto jätti toivomisen varaa. Toisaalta yhden yön matkaa varten taso oli juuri ja juuri riittävä.
