The room was poor. TV broken, window opening broken, room boiling hot - no phone to call reception. No kettle/tea drink making facilities. 'complimentary drinks' were sparkling water and two sweet/sugary drinks. Informed reception of broken TV no-one cared/bothered to fix it. Asked reception how to cool the room with no opening window, the man on reception said I needed to go in to the fuse box in the room and turn the whole heating/electrics system off by toggling fuses! Shower also broke on second day, had to shower in freezing cold water, and the soap wasn't refilled, so no soap on second day too! Awful!!!

The staff at this hotel is absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is very nice… not conveniently located in Munich… but the staff actually made this place worth staying at.

Lydia, one of the staff at the concierge bent over backwards for our party and was super accommodating. We were incredibly impressed with her professionalism, charm and hospitality and would recommend this place to any traveler based on her performance alone!

I had a problematic experience. Three room changes: first room air condition broken and they let me wait more than 90 minutes sweating before I understood that there is no technician in place.
Moved me to a second room with a safe stuck and moved to a third room with a safe broken.
It took me 2.5 hours to get a working room the forth one. Poor maintenance ruin the potential of this beautiful hotel.

Vi boede på 1. sal - ud til stor trafikeret vej og over restauranten - der var trafikstøj og vi kunne høre musikken nede fra restauranten.

If you like cold showers and bed bugs, you'll like the Innside by Melia. You can take a hot shower but only before 7am because after that all the hot water has been used. I was forced to take a cold shower. The front desk didn't care, expressing the attitude that the boiler couldn't keep up with demand and that there was nothing they could do. I was scheduled to stay a week and was forced to leave my duties at a trade show to return to the Melia and check out to find another hotel. Also, we were bitten by bed bugs. It was an awful experience.

Very nice room, with a good view, comfortable bedding and no noise. I particularly liked the floor to ceiling windows.
There were a few issues: shower water was cold some days even at max heat, air conditioning was basically not working so it got a little cold on cold days and rather warm on warmer days, tv channel selection seemed limited relative to other hotels, and the sink was a little too shallow.
The gym was ok, with a limited selection of weights and a few machines, but it was very poorly ventilated.

This property is not what it says on Expedia. The rooms are nothing like the pictures online. Star rating is definitely off as well. The hotel was in bad condition, no air conditioning when it was 35 C outside! The hallway carpet feels dirty and patched everywhere and really run down! Really ghetto feel and I’d rather sleep in my car (Atleast it has AC). The staff was really discourteous and won’t offer a refund when I asked because I wanted to move to another hotel immediately.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was very clean, modern with lovely panoramic windows. We stayed in a suite and it was quite big with a living area, kitchenette including microwave, minibar and sink. The staff were all very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice too. The only negative point is that we were a family and the bathroom had no door so there was no privacy in the shower area. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Everything was clean and fresh. Members of staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful.

I would like a kettle in the room.

A lot of light comes through the curtains, so blackout blinds or curtains would have been better.

My room was way too hot (yes, in winter!) and the initial solution offered was open the window with the heating still on. Energy crisis? What energy crisis?! Someone did come and turn it off at the electrical box.

The free mini-bar was a nice touch.

Breakfast was OK but not outstanding.

Having stayed at the INNSiDE as the first hotel since opening up the air bridges the experience was very comfortable. Although the amenities where not available the staff and the cleanliness and presentation of the room was outstanding. I felt very safe staying at the INNSiDE hotel for 2 nites. The bed was very comfortable and shower very powerful. A must stay in Munich.

my room had no heating I spent most of my time working elsewhere but reporting it each day finally on second evening someone can to my room with a portable by very noisy heater. Also, I asked reception to book a taxi but on both occasions they merely offered the hope that one would be outside when I needed it - it wasn't . they did eventually book a taxi when I insisted. However, the restaurant staff provided good customer service and the food was good .

Funky modern hotel, new and looked great. Was located exactly where I needed.

Total disaster though with useless feather-down pillows which I absolutely hate. Dreadful nights sleep, spent the whole night bashing them into shape only to find myself in some stupid position 30 minutes later.

Won’t be back unless the pillows are going away.

The hotel it self is great, but has a few setbacks with the hotel room it self . The layout and the room itself is great but the way the toilet is set up in the bathroom, there’s no privacy and the since the toilet is secluded from the rest of the bathroom, the smells inside the toilet room smells awful as soon as we arrived. It reminded me of a public bathroom type smell.The bed is quite firm and the pillow is way too soft for that type of firm bed. The hotel service and staff is quite wonderful especially their bartender. I would suggest this being a business only hotel or solo travelled instead of a family or couple hotel, especially with it being in a business park

The hotel was fine but not having the restaurant open or any room service while we were there for 3 days was not good. There was no atmosphere in the hotel and no comfortable sitting area in reception. There was a certain haphazardness about the staff service with bits and pieces missing but they were supplied when asked for. One niggle was the door keys kept on malfunctioning.

The hotel is all about businesses trips, but even though I have went with my wife I found the location ok, although on Sunday when almost every place around was closed. At least parking on street was easy.
The rooms are pretty clear and comfortable, the bathroom is a little bit strange because the shower is not privar but for a couple is fine.
The only thing that is really weird is service. The guy responsible for refill the minibar came in to our room, just announced himself and did his job. It was awkward and so invasive. The other thing is since this hotel only host business people they fix your room kinda late. So they came to fix the bed and change towels only at 6 pm. That was not helpful at all.

Initial room’s A/C was not working at all. Then I was moved to a new room where the A/C was very weak, also the room refrigerator was not working at all. While away from the room, cleaning crew came in to clean and took the second room key which I had left in the slot by the door. Hotel is beautiful, however, the above referenced issues took away from the overall experience.

A great hotel in a wonderful city

Could not find a fault with this hotel - I stayed in a Melia hotel in Barcelona last year and I knew what to expect in terms of comfort, facilities, friendliness and location. Not always in the centre of a city - but that is often not a bad thing as you get more value for money (plus you get to understand how the transport systems work!). The breakfast is a MUST and I would recommend going for one of the larger bedrooms. We had #135 with double-aspect windows - so lots of light and space. Coffee-making facilities in the room, a big bed and uber-comfy bed sheets and pillows make this a relaxing stay. The relaxation suite, gym and sauna on the 5th floor also added to enjoying down-time. It is just a 5 minute walk to the tube station, then just 10 mins to Marianplatz. And there are Uber taxis everywhere. I would recommend the 3rd Reich/Hitler walking tour and a Beer/Brewery tour, plus cocktails in the SCHWARZREITER TAGESBAR at the HOTEL VIER JAHRESZEITEN KEMPINSKI in Maximilianstrasse.
All in all, a great three nights in a wonderful city and I feel that value for money was truly had.

Think about location

We chose this hotel based on good reviews. We knew it was a little out of the center, but we hoped this would not be an issue.

The hotel is an industrial design, with lots of glass and metal. It is located within some high rises that have the same appearance.

The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were unaccountably flat. We requested bulkier pillows and received them.

The room was clean, large and well appointed, with the minibar being free and topped up each day. The wifi was free but limited each day and I found it easy to use up quickly.

The bathroom was clean and had three separate sections - shower, wash basin and toilet - which was a nice innovation.

For us, the problem was location. The immediate area around the hotel has almost nowhere to shop, eat and drink. The nearest seemed to be near the underground station, about 900 meters away. As tourists, getting to and from the U-bahn each day was okay, but if it was hot, cold or raining, it would have been very inconvenient.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great hotel cost effective

Stayed at this hotel based on the cost versus other hotels in Munich. As I was there for work having a hotel that was right in the tourist areas was not what I was looking for. I wanted something where I could get to my meetings and work effectively while not having meetings. This hotel delivered. However I will say there is not much around the hotel in terms of restaurants or cafes only a couple, and the train station is a little far. But all in all effective. I will defiantly stay there again. Eg if you want to go to Marienplatz it's a 300m walk catch the tram, then change to the underground, or get a 12 Euro Uber.

A business hotel within walking distance to Munich metros once you figure out how to walk under one freeway and over another.

The free and paid internet however are very poor. I tried using the free internet which would hardly even load a webpage on google chrome and when I had a video conference call to attend I decided to try the paid service which didn't event have enough speed to have me work from my room and join the call. Regardless I was charged. That is not acceptable from a hotel which prides itself on such great standards.

Lovely hotel outside City centre

Rooms are beautifully designed and clean, they look very modern. The staff are very friendly. There aren't many places to eat around the hotel itself and the kitchen isn't always open so ask before you count on a meal! The underground is close and only a couple of stops from Marienplatz so the location is good compared to some other hotels in a similar price range. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant hotel, low cost stay!

I chose this hotel mainly as it is right next door to Highlight Towers in Munich where I was presenting the next morning. As with everything in Germany, the hotel was extremely efficient, and modern. The hotel room was very funky, and comfortable, with free soft drinks included in the cost. The breakfast choice was also fantastic. What a bargain price for such a high quality hotel. I will stay here in Munich everytime on business trips.

Unpleasant experience

I was coughing during my stay. To soothe my throat a bit, my wife kindly went to the restaurant on the ground floor for warm water and a tea bag if possible . While a male staff over there had kindly given some water to my wife, another female staff was swinging a tea bag before her saying \" You know what ? This tea bag should have cost you 4 EUR..\" With no intention to get it for free, my wife replied to that female staff \" I don't mind at all if you want me to pay for it\". The female staff was stuck and just handed the tea bag over.... Though the tea bag was not charged, My wife and I definitely felt being insulted. i am sure that we won't mind paying any extra during our stay in premium room of the hotel. With hotel industry always emphasising the paramount important of service, this unpleasant experience is definitely not expected from any stayers in the hotel ...disappointing and humiliating ....

Great for business folks & for airport

They had not honored my reservation for twin beds and had no such rooms available. A rollaway was brought in but made it crowded.
Food in the restaurant was excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was wonderful.It was in excellent condition.The
staff was very helpful and helped us and answered all of our questions on how to get to town.
We will definitely be staying there when we return to Munich.
