The hotel is located out of the city centre in a newish neighbourhood with large businesses around. The staff were really helpful and kind and very efficient.

The room furnishings are not the newest but not in bad condition either, but the room could do with a more modern makeover. The bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner. Carpet in room had some stains, the heavy metal shower tap came off while I was showering and nearly hit my foot! The shower drain was left partially open which I can only assume to allow for better drainage. The towels were really thin and upon arrival only body towels (and no hand towels) were provided.

My family and I stayed at the Ibis for the Eurocup opening game and it was the perfect stay for our trip. The hotel has wonderful staff, a nice restaurant and coffee bar, excellent breakfast, and comfortable rooms. We were happy to find a shopping plaza with restaurants a short walk away, and the location was convenient for local transportation around Munich. We had a very memorable stay at the Ibis!

OK if business in Schwabing but not for tourists

I would not have picked this location for our leisure trip but we were part of a group tour and this was our last hotel. It's in the business area. It is beside offices of Amazon, etc so if you're on a business trip, it's good. But as a tourist, it's far from transportation unless you take a Bolt / Uber. Trains are a good 12-15 minute walk. Buses stop about 300 meters away but it's not that often. Hotel itself is standard IBIS - clean, comfortable, reasonably priced.

I stayed at the hotel 5 years ago and had a good impression at that time.
Unfortunately, the present stay changed this impression dramatically. The room was by all means not clean at all. The curtain was ripped, surfaces of tables, cupboards etc. we’re obviously not wiped. The TV and the antenna was were not disconnected, from their sockets, respectively and the dirty remote control was anywhere, but not at the place you could easily find it. The day after the I checked-in the cleaner even forgot the cleaning cloths in the room, which looked an DIY invitation to guest. Is this what you want to outsource to a business traveler?
Though in times of COVID services are limited but essential hygiene and cleaning is a mandatory service to guarantee the wellbeing of guests. I missed that basic service in this hotel, I changed to ibis next door, which was a different world regarding cleanliness and services. The room at ibis next door included a hygiene wrap for the remote control et. provided for a safe and pleasant environment. Things your Hotel did not provide at all!

He was great and provided us with a wonderful customer service experience. In general the hotel is outside of tourist area but other than that it was really good including the breakfast

Visited this hotel many times ,I like the location few minutes walk to tram stop which runs every 10 minutes then underground 3 stops the centre of Munich .very comfortable king size bed and good shower ,i always find everything very clean .All the empoyees are very welcoming and helpful.Check in very quick and given preferred room and receptionist reconized us from previous visits which is a very pleasant personal touch .breakfast good with plenty of choice and restaurant in the evening .This hotel is my favourite in Munich , excellent price and windows slightly open in the bedroom which is a bonus excellent and most comfortable

This is part of the Ibis chain so it runs to their formula. The location is in a new district, close to the offices of companies like IBM and new apartment blocks. Getting around by public transport - the best way to get around - is quite easy and involves little walking or waiting. Staff were pleasant, breakfast was thoughtful (not too much waste) and an adequate start to the day. My (basic) room was on the small but to the Ibis formula, so comfortable enough.

Ibis is a above-average/good hotel in Schwabing area north of Munich city center ... The room had a comfortable futon bed, and the bathroom was average. The air conditioning was shut off for the season (which made my first night of three nights a little less comfortable than I'd hope) and the TV was super small (perhaps a 10\" TV) ... Front desk sent someone up very quickly to unlock the window so it could open all the way, which was appreciated ... The area around the hotel is under construction, but it is otherwise pretty quiet ... The hotel has a nice bar and outdoor patio ...

Clean, comfortable hotel with English speaking staff. Restaurant and bar in hotel served good food and beer at a decent price. Room was a bit hot and the windows don't open fully. Overall a good place at an affordable price, but a bit out of the way for sightseeing. Was meeting a friend from overseas who was staying at this location, so it made sense to stay there as well.

Okay, but VERY SPARTAN.

My husband and I stayed here because the tour we were going to pick up used this hotel. The staff was excellent and friendly, English-speaking at the desk. We were actually here for three nights before the tour, then one night after the tour. Our (two different rooms) were extremely small, very hot (in December! So we opened the window), lacked sufficient electrical outlets, had no bathtub (only shower), had no amenities other than non-detachable shampoo/body-wash tubes in bath and at sink. The toilet in the second room, 2111, did not adequately flush. There is a small place to hang your clothes and it had some shelves, but it was hardly a closet. These rooms feel like dorm rooms. If my husband and I were not small people, we would have felt extremely cramped. Parkstadt is a new outskirt of Munich, with construction going on in every direction you can look. It is fairly far out, with a small shopping center a good walk away, and you must take the bus to get into town. The Metro (U-bahn) is inconvenient. You take the subway from the airport to where you pick up a bus for Parkstadt. There is no bonafide grocery store available, and no fast food or restaurant available other than in the hotel. The other hotel in the courtyard (Novotel) has softdrinks in a case and a few little foods. Pay a little more if you must to get a hotel closer to downtown or to the Metro.

Fine if this is the right location for you

We stayed here during Oktoberfest as it was the most affordable accomodation we could find. This is a perfectly fine hotel, basic clean rooms. It's nothing special so I would stay only stay here if it's close to where you need to be or if you can't find anything better during Oktoberfest. It's a tube and then tram ride from Marienplatz, total travel time about 25 mins

The same level of comfort you associate with any Ibis property.. the hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood.. the rooms were minimalistic.. the cafe offered enough options for a fulfilling meal at the end of a long day of sightseeing.. we were travelling with a toddler and a comfortable cot-bed was available in the room.. the hotel is about 5 mins walk from a tram station which is 3 stops away from the center of all tourist activity.
the only problem for us was the unavailability of an electric kettle in the room.. otherwise it was well worth our money..

Good close to Munich

Their listing says they have self-service laundry which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel for our stay in the middle of out two-week trip to Europe but they only arrange laundry service off-site. This is NOT the same thing. Hotel was very clean and priced well. It is a two mile walk to BMW Museum and Olympic Park and clues to a tram to connect to metro to get to downtown Munich.

Value for money hotel in quiet suburb

We chose the Ibis because we've stayed in other locations and have always found them to be good value. This Ibis is further out of town than other hotels - to get to it from the centre of Munich you have to take the U bah to Munchner Freiheit station and then a 6 minute tram journey to Anni-Albers Strasse and then it's just 2 mins round the corner to the hotel. Or you can go to Nordfriedhof U bahn and walk through the underpass - this takes about 10 mins. There's lots of bakeries, shops and restaurants at Munchner Freiheit as this is the main part of Schwabing. The hotel is in a residential area - the only shop is a garage forecourt a few mins at the end of the street for drinks and small snacks. This didn't bother us as we were out all day and only in the hotel to sleep and shower. It was very quiet at night - the hotel is mainly used for tour groups that have early starts - but it wasn't noisy in the morning either. Great shower, roomy with good water pressure. The bathroom and room were very clean.

The hotel was under renovations. The elevators are not working properly and had to carry heavy luggage using stairs. No help was available either. Restaurant was also under renovation. I see no reason to stay here.

This hotel would have been fine at half the price they charged me. I don't know why Munich has suddenly got so expensive, but all the hotel prices have pretty much doubled (mid-January) compared with what was on offer in about November. Considering what I did pay, I would have expected more - and I would have expected a bathroom that didn't stink like a burst sewer pipe (at least for the first night I stayed).

Ibis Muenchen Parkstadt Schwabing is last choice

There is another Ibis just a few 100 meters away, which is much much nicer and accommodating.

Its not so much that this hotel was bad, it just has a lot of these little irritating niggles.

Parking - very tight and steep, the walls covered in scraps from where obvious accidents had occured. Parking cost €8, ticket Machine did not print a receipt.

Lift/elevator - very slow, had to wait 15 minutes in the morning.

Room - All the same, small and starting to look dated. I woke up the next day with a strange red allergy bumps, possibly they used too much detergent.

Receiption - The staff member i spoke to was not friendly and was rude when i asked about A-club points during my stay. Staff were young and inexperienced.

Internet - was free in the other Ibis down the road, not in this one.

Breakfast - standard ibis, average but not as good as the nearby other ibis.

Location - Not good to get access to public transport, unless you are staying here on business this really is not good for tourist stay to get into munich.

Zimmer war sauber aber in unserem Zimmer ging nach dem 2 Toilettengang die Spülung nicht haben dann relativ schnell ein neues bekommen was auch sehr gut war aber im Neuen Zimmer Liesen sich die Fenster erst garnicht auf die kippstellung stellen. Nach dem wir das gemeldet haben Kamm ein netter Mitarbeiter von der Rezeption der es dann nach mehreren Versuchen geschafft wenigstens ein Fenster zu kippen das andere blieb zu weil auch er es nicht auf bekam . Das Bett war sehr hart und nicht sehr gemütlich. Am positivsten war das Frühstück.

Posizione dell’hotel ottima, la zona è stupenda ed anche la location è abbastanza accogliente. Se non fosse però che abbiamo trovato un piumone sporco dalla prima notte, ma essendo tardi abbiamo avvertito la mattina seguente per non disturbare. Ci hanno detto che chiamavano subito la signora delle pulizie per cambiarlo, alla sera ritroviamo nuovamente lo stesso piumone sporco. Chiediamo giù in reception spiegazioni ed il collega ci dice che l’unica cosa che può fare è darcene un altro e cambiarlo noi, e di lasciare per terra fuori quello sporco. Ce ne consegna uno singolo per una stanza doppia per cui scendiamo nuovamente e chiediamo il matrimoniale che però non avevano, quindi alla seconda notte abbiamo dormito con due piumoni singoli restando in accordi che alla mattina seguente ci avrebbero rimesso uno pulito matrimoniale. Al terzo giorno togliamo i due singoli e li mettiamo insieme alle asciugamani sporche da togliere per terra, torniamo nel pomeriggio e troviamo i due singoli rimessi sul letto. Nuovamente scendiamo in reception e ci dice che arriva subito a cambiarcelo la signora. Ho dovuto attendere per riposare nel pomeriggio del 31 dicembre perché loro da 3 giorni non mi hanno cambiato il piumone, sporco in partenza. Mi spiace, servizio pessimo.

Schlechter Zustand vom Zimmer

Fenster defekt und konnte nicht komplett geschlossen werden. Man konnte es aber auch nicht komplett öffnen. Lüftung im Badezimmer ging nicht. Deckenlampe ging nicht im Badezimmer. Matratzen unbequem und 2cm dick. Für 125 EUR pro Nacht war das echt schlecht.

Personal gut, Zimmer gut, das Bad/Toilette könnte bisschen größer sein, Frühstück gut, leider gab es am späten Abend kein Bier mehr an der Hotelbar.
