The hotel is currently being renovated. So every part of it is a construction site except the room itself, which was actually very nice. We got in late and headed out early the next morning, so amenities didn’t matter so much for us. It is being converted to a Doubletree. I’m guessing it will be nice when finished, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there until it is completed. Plus, oddly, our towels and wash cloths smelled like smoke…

The staff were good, however the hotel was undergoing construction and we didn’t know that when we made the booking. We had a hard time finding the front door. The room was nice and amenities were great, however because of construction the widow was covered with a tarp. The room did not have a phone to call the front desk or an instructions on how to set up WiFi or use the dish tv. I think when construction is done it will be nice

Extremely disappointed in our stay here. Nowhere did it state that the entire hotel is being remodeled. It looked condemned when we pulled in. The smell was awful and there were fans everywhere. Im sure it will be great when its done, but for what we walked into, we should have just stayed at a seedy motel.

We booked this property based on the information on the website and the Expedia reviews. When we arrived we discovered that the hotel was under construction and the amenities that were advertised…bar, restaurant, pool…were non-existent at this time. We had to enter through a back door where a makeshift desk and table for a grab and go breakfast were the only amenities in the hotel. I truly believe that this information should have been communicated in advance and we would have chosen a different hotel.

The hotel is still under remodeling. Circular saws woke me up at 8:00 AM.
Then at 8:30 AM room service knocked on the door (reawakening me). I told them that I was still in bed and they left but did not return that day to clean my room.
Breakfast was so poor that after I ate my first day I left the hotel to find a place to eat breakfast.

I made this reservation specifically because my daughter wanted to go swimming and she loves hot breakfasts at hotels. I even reserved a pool/atrium side room. Well guess what?! Pool closed. I was completely disappointed with the conditions. The hotel was as being completely renovated. So there was no lobby, pool was closed and breakfast was grab and go not a hot meal. The loony attendant was on a cell phone, which appeared to me unprofessional. I cancelled my room immediately and the hotel was able to accommodate my request

Mary was the best!

Hotel is definitely in the midst of being remodeled but we got to stay in one of the new rooms and it was fantastic. Mary at the front desk took such great care of us all weekend. She was a pleasure to chat with and very good at her job.

Breakfast currently is limited to a grab and go bag or simple toastable/microwaveable items which is fine. Complimentary soft drinks / water were extra nice because it was 1 million degrees outside.

Summary- don't expect a super lot of greatness at the moment because of the remodel but they treated us well and it was clean. Looking forward to coming back, especially when the remodel is completed.

Need to get a credit on my bill due to poor condition of propery. Person at counter said I needed to request an adjustment on price charged due to the state of the property. I normally stay here and absolutely love this hotel. However, they are undergoing major renovations and I think the website should inform future guests and lower its rate. I would not have stayed here. The rooms smelled like wet carpet and mold. It was a pre paid reservation so not much option to leave. I’m sure the finish product will look great but honestly it’s more of a run down motel atmosphere right now. I wish they well with the renovations but they should close or at least charge what the hotel is worth in its current state.

We had a second floor room but on the inside - our window was just facing into the atrium area so zero outside exposure. There was a carpet beetle in the shower which suggests there would be more. The lobby has a lot of potential. It is very quiet. The rooms could use an upgrade for more relaxing space. There wasn’t a phone in the bedroom, and the tv was too small to see from the bed. The products in the bathroom are very cheap and harsh on the hair and skin, opting for paraben/phalates/silicone free products would make the experience nicer

The front desk person was extremely nice each interaction. I was taken back when right before I was getting ready to sign that she stated the pool was out and the hotel was under construction. I wish it would have said that before I booked. My son was there for a baseball tournament we chose this hotel for location, pool, and breakfast. The breakfast choices we weak at best due to once again the hotel being under construction for 2 YEARS.

Staff were all excellent and very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was the problem. Now, keep in mind they are in the middle of a remodel so that definently plays a factor in this review. The pool was closed which neither the hotels website or Hotels.com website mentions. It also says they have a bar and complimentary continental breakfast. The bar wasnt open, not sure why and the \"breakfast\" was a choice of cereal, bagels, or Jimmy Dean microwave sandwiches. There is an amazing bbq joint literally across the street. Riverside bbq and Thyme square about 5 minutes away had AMAZING breakfast. All that being said we were only in town one night and the room was quiet and clean.

This hotel is currently in the midst of renovations to becoming a Doubletree. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Most disappointing is that due to this, the pool was closed. We got an atrium room and ended up on the first room of the floor with a horrible view. We were able to get the room changed that had a better view of the atrium. Breakfast was not a hot breakfast. Bagels, muffins, yogurt. Average hotel but clean with a friendly staff. Remodeled rooms look very nice but may raise prices.

Not a very good stay for me

I travel with a certified service dog. I was asked to show proof of certification. Then answer intrusive questions. The room did not have a working phone to the front desk. There was a huge stain on the dining set chair, stain on gold chair by window. Lastly the hair dryer did not match plug. I did get a good nights sleep but I was medicated. I stayed here because the reviews were very good.

Just Needs Better Management

I asked to change rooms because the upolstery on the chair was quite dirty, the room rug needed shampooing long ago - very dirty - the bathroom was missing a tissue dispenser, and the hand soap, ect dispensers needed filling. The toilet handle also wasn't working properly.

My second room was a bit better, but the carpet still needed shampooing and the sink/tub did not drain well.

I understand this hotel is undergoing renovation, but rooms should still be welcoming and clean. I did appreciate the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable, but only 4 very small pillows for a king size bed looked kind of silly. Plus my room was not addressed, so I had to ask for another towel for my third day stay. The breakfast, yes it is \"free,\" but could use some additional hot choices.

The best part of the hotel is the lobby that is welcoming and the staff was helpful.

The facility was being remodeled. We did not know this when we booked the room. The facility should not have been open for customers. Dry wall was being installed or replaced. Efforts were clearly made to diminish the amount of dust in the air. That was an impossible task. The rooms simply should not have been rented. The attendants were gracious about changing our room location to one with less dust in the hallway. We would not have booked this location if we had known its condition.

The room cleanliness was okay, but the condition was poor which is why the facility is probably being renovated.. The tv in the room was very small and the tub was clogged and water backed up at least eight or nine inches deep while showering. Some of the general amenities like the ice machine was non. Working and the construction crew started quite early, creating a lot of noise renovating the hotel.
